Lello our driver was great, pleasant, accommodating and knowledgeable. Luisa, our guide was absolutely amazing! The wine tasting was okay - I suggest you check the menu in advance, several in our party did not like the authentic Naples specialties! i thought the food was great! The booking, communications and flexibility of the company is above expectations.

My husband and I booked Rosato Private Tours for a personal tour from Sorrento to Pompeii and Herculaneum. We were fortunate to have Vittorio, the owner of the company, as our driver. He arrived promptly at our hotel. He was professional and very friendly, and his vehicle was spotless! Due to my vertigo and car sickness, Vittorio was able to accommodate us and change up the original itinerary, which had included a trip up Mount Vesuvius. Instead, he suggested we visit Pompeii and then Herculaneum. Following the visits to the archaeological sites, he drove us to a wine tasting and lunch at a very nice small family-owned vineyard where everything they served was grown at the vineyard. He also suggested we get an English-speaking tour guide for our trip to Pompeii, which he arranged for us in advance. In addition, he provided us with the correct links to purchase our tickets online in advance for both sites. It was a wonderful stress-free day. After we finished lunch, Vittorio drove us to get gelato, which was delicious! Before returning to our hotel, I shared with Vittorio that I was looking for someone to translate two very old letters I had of my Italian grandfather's that were sent to him in the US from his parents back in Italy in 1914 and 1916. Vittorio went over and above his job and offered to translate them for me. Within a couple of days of sending him the letters, I received a very detailed email with the translations. This gesture meant the world to me that he would take the time out of his busy life so that I could experience a piece of my family's history from so long ago. Grazie per la tua gentilezza! The whole day and our overall experience working with Vittorio was one we will never forget. Our only regret was that we didn't get a picture of us with Vittorio!!

We truly enjoyed our time in Sorrento which would not have been possible without the help and knowledge of Rosato private tour! Vittorio was so easy to work with and always answered promptly with all my questions. From the driver Gianluca transfer from the airport, Ciro our driver to Pompeii, Louisa the absolutely best translator you want to have to the winery they recommended! They made everything easy! It cost a lot of money for what you got. Did not include admission to Pompeii. Did not include guide in Pompeii. Did not include admission to Vesuvius and was not told you had to buy tickets in advance to see Vesuvius and none were available so we were not able to go there. Guide was very pushy about canceling plans with other tour operators and using him instead. The other tour operator that I ended up using to go to the Amalfi coast was almost half the price and a much better guide. That being said, a trip to Pompeii is definitely worth it and they were able to get us an excellent private guide for an additional €150in addition to the admission price for Pompeii.

Vittorio was so responsive with any and all communication I initiated. He also organized an excellent private tour guide at Pompeii. Our driver was waiting for us at the hotel and took us to Pompeii, waited for us and drove us to Rome while explaining a lot about Italian history and culture. He was very informative and kind. Rosato was recommended by a good friend of mine. I am very glad I listened to her. I highly recommend Rosato Private Tour.

Great trip to Pompeii. Our driver, Lello, was great and told us a lot of history about the area on the ride there. Rosato arranged our private 2 hr guide of Pompeii which was well worth it for the information and streamlined tour. Luisa was terrific! She clearly knew her stuff. We did not do the winery but opted for a stop for Neopolitan pizza in the area. Lello brought us to a great local restaurant that was very reasonably priced and had very good pizza!

We were picked up promptly by Lello at our hotel in Rome for the drive to Positano. On the way we stopped to do a tour of Pompeii while Lello waited for us with our luggage. Our tour guide Francesca was quite engaging and very knowledgeable. We all loved her and learned so much! Lello then picked us up and maneuvered us through the windy road to Positano. We also learned quite a bit from Lello about the surrounding countryside. All in all this was a great way to get from one point to another with a stop in Pompeii along the way. We usually rent a car on vacation but I cannot imagine doing this drive. This was definitely the way to go!!

A great day trip - would highly recommend this tour company. Massimo our driver was really welcoming and friendly, and great with our kids. We e were given plenty of time to climb Vesuvius and then had our private tour of pompeii before a well-deserved lunch at a beautiful winery! We also did the one day amalfi coast tour with the same driver a few days later and that was great too! Definitely recommend booking a tour with this company!

We had an excellent day on our Vesuvius/Pompeii tour! Tina and Vittorio were very helpful in helping us plan the day. Our driver Ciro was very kind and professional, and picked us up perfectly on time. We were picked up at our hotel in Sorrento, and first went to Vesuvius where we climbed to the top and enjoyed the views. Next we went to Pompeii and were greeted by our private tour guide, Carolina, who was very kind and knowledgable. We really enjoyed her commentary and we all felt like we learned a lot! After our ~2 hour tour, we went to a winery on the foothills of Vesuvius for a tour, tasting and lunch. The whole day was a lot of fun and perfectly scheduled. We would highly recommend!

Simply amazing day! Highly recommend Rosato - we had a 7 hour day with Vittorio and it was one of the best tours I have experienced. Arrived early, patiently waited, shared tons of information about the area, was entertaining and really looked after us. I have booked many tours throughout Europe and beyond… this was at the top.

Simply wonderful !! We had booked transportation to and from Naples , to the airport and the train station for the next leg of our trip and did 2 tours during our week in Sorrento . Massimo took us to the amalfi coast which was so much fun and so beautiful and when we got back in Sorrento found the location of church that we had been wanting to see but couldn't find , also suggested a restaurant that was one of it not the best dinner we had during our stay ! Lello picked us up at the airport and also took us on the Pompeii tour and we had a wonderful time and outstanding lunch at the winery ! They knew so much of the history of the region and took us to so many beautiful places . We fell in love with Sorrento and hope to get back sometime soon . Thank you for a wonderful time !

We were travelling with our two teenagers and grand parents. We booked a Pompeii and Vesuvius tour with wine tasting and an Amalfi Tour. Ciro, our guide in Pompeii made our trip to the site a highlight of our trip. He was knowledgeable, engaging and funny. His knowledge of Pompeii was well-worth the extra cost. Ciro, our driver for both days was excellent. He was knowledgeable, accommodating and an excellent driver. He went above and beyond to help our daughter look for a lost item. We will happily recommend this company to friends and family.

The transportation was seamless. Massimo was a top-notch driver. He was very knowledgeable and hilarious. We loved him so much. Pina was an incredible tour guide of Pompeii. The tour was wonderful. We were picked up promptly at our hotel at the designated time. Massimo, our driver, was friendly and he explained everything to us. Once we got to Pompeii, we were met by our tour guide. She was wonderful, very knowledgeable. She really covered a lot of ground in just 2 hours. She answered all our questions and knew a lot about Pompeii. After the tour was over, Massimo met us and took us to a Winery for a tour and lunch. We toured the winery inside and out and then were taken to a beautiful rooftop dining area where we had the most delicious lunch and wine. The views were amazing with Mt. Vesuvius in the background. After lunch we were able to order some wine, olive oil and red wine vinegar (the red wine vinegar was incredible, nothing like I have ever tasted!). Massimo then took us back to our hotel. It was our last day in Italy and it was a great day spent!

Amazing from start to finish. Vittorio corresponds very well through the booking. The vehicle is of high standard and the drivers are excellent. We had Nunzio, he gave us lots of very useful information and was very nice guy. He actually advised us to visit Herculaneum. We didn’t, but worth a look before you book as we’d not heard of it. The day was effortless and I can’t imagine a better way to do experience it. Thanks

We had a great driver, Giusepe. He explained everything very well, adapted the tour according to our desires and explained everything very well. We did 1 day the Pompei tour and 1 day the Amalfi coast. Both great! We highly recommend Rosato private tours.

Going back in time and walking in the pathway of the Roman city of Pompeii was an amazing experience. The Mt. Vesuvius hike and then the trip to Pompeii with our knowledgeable driver (Mr. Aaron)and his arranged archeologist guide (Mr. Ciro) was an eye opener. His explanations and knowledge about Pompeii was extremely helpful to us. Thanks Aaron and Ciro !!

Great tour of Pompeii. It was so fascinating to see the advancements ‘frozen in time’ This is an educational marvel Our tour guides were great We opted for pizza because we were a large group with kids and that was awesome as well. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

This tour was everything we wanted and so much more. The views were amazing the locations of the mozzarella making and the pizza making were incredible!! Our tour guide was friendly, funny, and gave us a very personalized tour and information of all the sights as we drove along on this all day tour!!! I would highly recommend using this service to couples or families of any size. We utilized 3 vans and everyone in our family noted how great their driver was. Truly the highlight of our vacation! Started off with meeting our driver Aaron, who was extremely warm, friendly and knowledgeable and made sure we were comfortable all day while providing context for the Almafi Coast. Also, the coast can be a tricky drive and Aaron did it with ease. The Pompei tour was incredible, especially if you’re lucky enough to get Ciro as your guide. He’s a 4th generation pompei guide and is not only extremely well versed in the history of the area but also so passionate in his storytelling. Finishing it off at the winery was the perfect cap, before another pleasant drive back to Positano. We will absolutely use this service again when we come back. Thank you Aaron for making the day so special!

With streets closing in Sorrento and a long unexpected travel day, Rosato Tour quickly steered us toward a great day at a winery & Pompeii! We are so grateful for their help on this last minute tour & for upgrading us to a bigger bus so we could all be together. They go above and beyond and we appreciated that! It ended up being one of our favorite memories from our trip.

We did not do the wine tour due to time, but we did the private tour of Pompeii and it was awesome! Our guide was a 4th generation guide of Pompeii and he had some wonderful stories to tell about the site and the history of the town and its residents. The tour helped us to better understand the impact the people of Pompeii had on our history. In addition to this tour, Vittorio and Rosato Private Tours provided transportation for us for airport transfers, a tour of the Amalfi Coast and transportation to dinners. Vittorio even helped us to find the Villa we rented. He and his company were an integral part of the success of our trip to Italy. We had 12 family and friends accompany us and we never could have organized this trip without Vittorio's help. Vittoria and his team are fantastic!

We did two full day tours with Rosato Tours and we also had them provide the transfer to and from the airport and our hotel. All of their drivers were very professional and engaging. The Pompeii and Heraculean Tour was wonderful. They helped arrange the private tour guide for us st both sites which made the experience even better. Pina was a great story teller and really kept us and our teenage daughters engaged even with the intense heat. She always found shady areas to stop and share interesting information. Our driver Giuseppe was great and a perfect partner up Pina. We ended the tour at an organic winery where we sampled their wines and enjoyed lunch overlooking Mt. Vesuvius. He also gave us a great recommendation for dinner at a local restaurant away from the tourist area.

We loved our holiday in Sorrento having completed a fantastic tour with Vittorio Rosato. Vittorio took us to Vesuvius and parked to allow us to climb to the top of the volcano and see inside the crater. The views over the Bay of Naples are magnificent. He then drove us to Herculaneum which is interesting and easier to get around compared to Pompeii as it is smaller. We then headed to a winery for lunch and wine tasting. Vittorio is a very good driver and we felt safe and comfortable in his car. He is from Sorrento so knows where to stop en route for great photographs. Also, he is an expert in advising the best places for coffee and lunch taking in great views. Vittorio sent us an email listing his favourite restaurants to allow us to have a look before we travelled. If we needed any further information during our holiday in Sorrento he told us just to give him a call. The previous year, we also took a tour with Vittorio visiting Positano, Ravello and Amalfi, so when we knew we would be returning we had to book another tour. I would highly recommend Vittorio and Rosato Private Tours.
