Private Tour Of Amalfi Coast

We were on a private car tour of the Amalfi Coast and our driver Marcella did a great job of sussing out what our interests were and built a great day around that information. She stopped at so many great photo opportunities because she knew I love photography. She gave us just the right amount of time in the villages and towns to see the historic highlights. She offered to made reservations for lunch if we were into fine dining, but was perfectly fine with us choosing a quick snack instead. She also too us to a great ceramics store that had a huge collection of beautiful things. She gave us an informative and leisurely day that we will not forget.

We arrived at the train station to a smiling happy Enzo! Right on time! Riding with Enzo made the entire trip stress free. We organized everything based on our itinerary in advance and just enjoyed our trip! Enzo arrived EXACTLY on time to tour us around Amalfi including Ravello. He stopped for great pictures, pointed out all the sites we would have never seen and stoped for a fresh OJ looking over the coast of Amalfi. We were able to pack in many sites! Just walk up and get on the car. No time wasted on waiting for the train, no stress driving our own car and paying €€ for parking! Just a perfect service for our trip! Superb day visiting the amalfi coast! Our driver Katia (Americo car service) was fabulous! She was a great driver-providing us with great information/history on all the towns we visited! She was very accommodating to our family as we had our little granddaughter with us ! She was truly a Pleasure to talk with, learn from and share stores ! Katia made the trip so enjoyable!!!!!!

We had a wonderful experience with Roberto, who picked us up on time, drove safely, and engaged all 8 of us, ranging from aged 10-80, making sure everything was comfortable, smooth, and entertaining as well. He talked to us early on to understand our needs and expectations, which not every driver/guide did on our trip! He had great local insights and recommendations. We used Americo again (and were lucky enough to have Robert drive us a second time) for a drop off in Naples accompanied by a tour. He recommended a wonderful pizza place for us and even called ahead to make a reservation for an airconditioned table.

Had a fantastic day driving the Amalfi coast and seeing all the beautiful sights. We had the most AMAZING experience Americo car service a few months ago. We were visiting Sorrento in May and wanted to travel to Ravello. Our hotel recommended Americo car service and we couldn’t be happier. Our driver, Katia, was fabulous! From the moment she picked us up until the sad moment when we arrived back at our hotel, everything was perfect. Katia couldn’t have been more helpful. We never felt like we were on a tour or with a travel agent. We felt like we were with a friend. She was so helpful in securing reservations for us along the way and was very flexible, even stopping at a wonderful ceramics store along the coast. 😁 She was a very safe driver, The car was very comfortable and she had water bottles for us. We will be traveling back to the area shortly and can’t wait to use their services again. Hopefully we get to see Katia again. ☺️

Today Katia, our tour driver from Americo, drove us down the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Let's not forget the wonderful and beautiful lunch high up on the cliff in Scala! The tour lasted 7 hours, but by the end, I wished that the tour would continue. This was because of our wonderful Tour Driver, Katia. I have been on many tours, however, no guide brought more knowledge and passion to a tour than Katia. She explained everything she showed us with so much caring and emotion and pride in Italy. A great example is when she took us to Amalfi and told us that we should definitely go to the Cathedral of St. Andrew. We did and it was a beautiful and moving experience. I was able to say a prayer to St. Andrew for my first grandchild Andrew! She is a true gem who made my entire experience one I will never forget! I recommend this tour and Katia to everyone. Thank you Katia for the best experience of our trip! Ciao!

We had a wonderful day with Roberto! Pickup was very convenient. They were very accommodating with changing the pick up time. Roberto was a joy. As a local he knows a lot about the area and is much more than just a driver. He was able to share history and facts about the area. He was constantly ensuring that our experience was great from the temperature of the car and random stops. Roberto knew all the best spots to stop for pictures and became our private photographer along the way. Through the various drop offs and pick ups along the coast, he was on time everytime. We would highly recommend Roberto and Americo Car Service. One bit of feedback is that if you pay by credit card the process to pay is a little inconvenient versus paying with the driver at the end of the trip. It all worked out though.

Roberto was our personal driver. We called him Capitan Roberto! He was so great and very friendly. We loved his knowledge of the places he took us and gave us a chance to enjoy the places and allowed us to take beautiful pictures. Roberto’s service is above and beyond. He makes sure that we are enjoying ourselves and are able to see what we want. We would definitely recommend Roberto. And if given another chance to visit and tour Italy again, we would request Roberto! Thank you

I would give this experience one star out of 5. First of all, the problem was the tour guide Massimo. He spoke in a voice so low that We couldn’t hear 90 percent of what he was saying, and told him so a few times but really didn’t do anything about it. And the 10 percent time we could hear him, he was hard to understand. Also, it’s supposed to be a private tour where we could decide where we wanted to go. That didn’t happen. We spent too much time in Atrani where there’s nothing to do really but take some pictures, for 90 minutes? We could have just spent maybe 30 minutes there and used the extra hour instead to spend in Ravello. And for lunch, he took us to Scala, although I already mentioned beforehand that I wanted to have lunch in Ravello. I had to insist lunch in Ravello a few times before he finally changed his course going towards Ravello, saying that Ravello is such a small town anyway. I felt like why do I have to insist on where we wanted to go if this was a private tour? We ended up just grabbing a quick pizza meal in the center and not enough time to really enjoy the view. We could have had a better and more pleasant experience with a different tour guide.

Highly recommend this tour. Our driver Enzo was amazing. Not only was he a really nice guy but he had pointed out all the important sites/buildings along the way.

We were picked up at the Naples airport to Sorrento by Roberto. He is professional, kind and super personable, with a great sense of humor, we decided to retain him for an Amalfi Coast tour the next day. He gave us 8 hours of joyful adventure from Sorrento through Positano, then up the breathtakingly beautiful Rovello, down to the exciting Amalfi town and back to Sorrento, a city where he was born and still lives with his wife. He knows these places so well it was like having your own historian/tour guide who is also a highly skilled driver capable of handling the treacherously narrow and windy road with aplomb! He clearly loves and takes his job very seriously. We cannot recommend his services enough. My wife and I are also proud to say that we now call him friend. Go Roberto!

Just came back from trip to Italy. We did a private tour of Amalfi coast with Roberto which was definitely a highlight of our trip Picked up on time in Mercedes van which was comfortable and well air conditioned. Roberto was a gem-drove carefully on winding roads-stopped to take pictures in beautiful spots which allowed all of us to be in the pictures. Pointed out interesting areas on the drive. Took us to Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello. Tailored trip to our request. Spent most of the time in stunning Ravello. Roberto made a lunch reservation for us in the most gorgeous location overlooking the coast. Lunch was delicious-he also took us to some amazing pottery and glassware stores and dropped us off at Villa Ruffolo. Overall a wonderful day with a wonderful guide-would highly recommend Americo car service and Roberto!!! Happy travels!

We had a wonderful experience on our drive with Marcella. She’s very friendly and made us feel comfortable from the start. She was very knowledgeable about the area, and made great recommendations on some stops we should make along the drive. She also made us a reservation for lunch at a beautiful restaurant in Ravello. We had a table with an amazing view and the food was delicious. Last but not least, she’s an amazing driver! Grazie to Marcella!! If we are fortunate enough to return to the area, we would definitely book another driving tour with Americo Car Service (and request Marcella too!!).

My girlfriend and I booked a private day tour of the Amalfi Coast from Sorrento in late April with Enzo through our hotel concierge. Everything was arranged by the hotel and we paid in cash. Friendly Enzo greeted us at 8:30 and we were back just before the 8-hour mark around 16:30. He took us in a clean Mercedes van with plenty of space. From Sorrento, we drove along the gorgeous coastal road and stopped in Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello, with an optional cliffside lunch stop at a small restaurant in Ravello. We had an hour to roam around Positano and Amalfi, and 45 minutes in Ravello. This only gave us enough time to take a few photos, peak at some shops, and enjoy the views, but this is what we wanted and expected. What we liked is that Enzo took care of the schedule and activities for us. We did not do extensive research before our trip, so this was a nice and stress-free way to sample the area without doing any planning. Along the way, Enzo did a great job describing what we were seeing as we drove by. He also took time to stop and take photos of us along the road as we wished. The restaurant in Ravello was cute and family-run. Nothing fancy, just a nice meal with a great view. Be aware that the meal is not included in the tour price. We chose this options because it felt easier than packing lunch or trying to cram something in while in one of the towns. On the drive back, we also had an opportunity to stop at one of the ceramic factories. You aren’t obligated to buy anything, but we found a few nice souvenirs in our case. Overall, we felt very safe, comfortable, and taken care of by Enzo. While the towns are always crowded, coastal road wasn’t so busy during our tour, but in busier times of the year, having a private local driver like Enzo would probably be even more valuable than it was for us. We recommend this for groups who aren't looking for a deep dive, but just want a convenient, safe, and enjoyable Amalfi experience.

Marcella was an incredible driver and friend

Marcella, our Driver was awesome! She demonstrated an exceptional knowledge Of the Amalfi Coast. We (4 couples) booked the trip thru Americo and were provided with a wonderful guide! Her driving skills were impressive…she made our lunch reservations, and showed us what we needed to see… she was entertaining and truly genuine. The 7. 5 hours were worth every euro! Would definitely use Americo again and request Marcella💚

Marcella was an amazing driver! She took us to local ceramic store, had lunch reservations for us, as well as got us on a boat to see from the water amalfi coast! The weather was rainy at first but she had back up ideas and plans! Took us to positano where she took us to get gelato and then sightsee ! Wonderful experience and professional even for a rainy day!

We had a great tour of the Amalfi coast with Tiziana as our driver. She was careful and considerate of our wishes and navigated the busy winding roads expertly! Tiziana was also very friendly and helpful in pointing out some key landmarks during the trip, in spite of her feeling her English was limited. What an experience! Enzo was our driver for the day.. He was extremely friendly and courteous He took care of us like we were his family. Anyone who could drive these windy,narrow streets with such skill is #1 in my book. He also ensured we had group photos, found great backgrounds to photograph us too!

Amalfi coast is awesome and we enjoyed it thanks to choosing to staying in Praiano. I wouldn’t recommend this company or guide as their attitude to customers could be a lot better. Hope they get their act together. You are better off booking a car with Blacklane or another operator by the hour!!

We booked a private tour with Americo Car Service through Costco Travel as part of our honeymoon, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our entire trip. Our driver and guide, Katia, was amazing. She picked us up right on time at our hotel in Sorrento at 8:00 AM, and from the moment we met her, she made us feel totally comfortable. She was warm, friendly, super professional, and just really easy to be around. The tour took us along the Amalfi Coast until about 5:00 PM, and Katia made the whole day feel effortless. She was full of great information about the area, shared interesting stories, and had a real knack for tailoring the day to what we were into. Her suggestions were helpful and she timed everything perfectly. We stopped in Positano, had an unforgettable lunch in the hills of Scala, and made a short but lovely stop in Ravello. Every place felt special, and we never felt rushed. Katia really gave us the chance to take it all in and enjoy the day at our own pace. The car was super clean and comfortable, and even on the tight, twisty roads, we always felt safe with Katia behind the wheel. Having both a guide and driver in one made the whole experience totally stress-free. She made our honeymoon even more memorable, and we’re so thankful for the experience.

Tiziana was our private guide and driver. She was a very careful driver and we felt safe going around the very curvy narrow roads with her. My friends and I had an absolute blast taking this private tour with Americo. Initially, we were looking for a bus that would get us to Positano and Amalfi but realized that would be cumbersome and we wouldn't be able to have any flexibility. Our Airbnb host called Americo and had them pick us up. I want to specifically shoutout our driver, Enzo, he was terrific. He took us to Positano, Amalfi, and Mount Ravello--all of which he gave us plenty of time to explore and lead us to the most beautiful spots of each site. Even though it was a day that was colder and rainy, Enzo managed to redirect ship and show us a great time. He was kind and enthusiastic, granted us any request (within reason) inside the van such as allowing us to play house music to amplify the vibes, and was incredibly patient. He did not speak English well but spoke Spanish and Italian in which he worked through communicating with us as two of our friends spoke Spanish and the other Italian. Overall, the value of the trip heavily outperformed the cost per person that our group of seven spent. I highly recommend this for anyone thinking of doing so. If you book it, specifically see if Enzo can be your driver. I trust that dude to gift you a wonderful experience.

Enzo was amazing. He filled us in with lots of historical information and fun facts regarding the amalfi coast. He took us to great spots that had the best views and were great for pictures. 10/10 would recommend, and I would do this tour again myself!

Our driver, Enzo, was the kindest man from the start of our day with him. Even on a very rainy day, he traversed the roads extremely well, and he always made sure to point out different landmarks along the beautiful routes through Sorrento. Although he did not speak English super well, we got by just great with a mix of Italian, Spanish, and English - which only added to the fun of the trip in our opinion. The nicest, most honest guy, Enzo deserves a raise and a high rating every time!

We were 3 couples staying at the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori in Sorrento, and through the recommendation of hotel staff, we scheduled a tour of the Amalfi Coast. We were so very fortunate to have Katia assigned as our tour guide. Katia was extraordinary in every way. An amazing personality, knowledgeable, very well known throughout the area, and she paid attention to all of our needs. Throughout the entire tour, she maneuvered the roads masterfully, all while pointing out the wonderful sights, telling jokes, and singing with her amazing voice. If you want a great experience, book a tour and make sure you request Katia!

On October 26th we took a car tour from Sorrento to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. The service couldn't be better. Katia, the lady acting as driver and guide made everything possible to make our journey one of the best we had. She was punctual for the pick up. She was very knowledgeable about the cities, monuments, and landscape. During all the journey she explained to us about the history of the places, and even had humorous stories to enjoy the trip. She also gave us good tips to take a boat trip in Amalfi, excellent lunch at Ravello and also places to see in each town.
