Private Luxury Minivan Full-day Amalfi Coast Driving Tour

Had I understood that each, Ravello, Positano and Sorrento were about 90 min apart and horribly windy narrow roads, I’d have chosen 2 at most. Too much time in the car, although Alessndro was a master driver. Did not find this to be a relaxed experience for 700€ Would have preferred choosing our own lunch choice in the town of Sorrento, that we never saw because we were taken to an oil tasting (beautiful) place for lunch with no choice and nothing else around. No time left but to return to the ship. I would use this gentleman again, due to his driving ability, professional personality and knowledge of the area.but be clear with your desires as he was quite strong with is own ideas of where to shop and have lunch. Also he told me on the phone 60€/extra hour and added 10€ to 70€/ hr extra in the car. I mentioned it. But he didn’t seem to hear me. To summarize, we had about 1 hour in Ravello, one hour in Positano, and 90 min for lunch at a ‘winery’? And about 5 hours in the car which I found quite stressful.

We had a wonderful experience with Allessandro on our tour through the Almafi coast. He was personable & very knowledgeable which made for a great time. I would highly recommend this tour with him if you choose to see the coast by land. Thank you for a great experience Alessandro

There was NO AIR CONDITIONING on this supposedly “Luxury” van in the heat. Add in the winding roads and the experience was a terrible day. Beware. Tour operator rejected request for a partial refund.

Alessandro was our driver! Our meeting time was 8-8:30 am! He arrived at 10 am. We were upset about the constant time change. Aftet pick up, he had to stop for gas. We went to Amalfi, Positano and Ravello. We loved the stops but felt it was not enough time in each city( about an hour). The Mercedes van was run down and honestly we did not think we would make it back to our apt. The transmission was def a problem along with the seats and loose rear window. Alessandro, did a nice job as a tour guide, telling us about the highlights in each area and did the full 8 hour tour.

Safe and knowledgeable driver. Took us to good photo spots along the way. Everything was great. Only wish we had stayed out for the full 8 hours instead of arriving back home so early (30 min ahead).

Had a great day with my family getting to see the gorgeous Amalfi Coast. Our driver Alessandro gave us tips and suggestions throughout the trip which definitely made the experience so much better. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Alex did an amazing job leading our family on this tour of the Amalphi coast. He is very experienced since has lived in the area all his life He took us to all the best places he picked us up at our Airbnb, which was above and beyond and he catered the experience to what we wanted to do He is a friendly, professional, and an experienced driver, which you need on the Amalfi coast! I would totally recommend this tour to really see as much as you can see in a day!!

Our driver picked us up on time and as we drove to the Amalfi coast gave us the history and stories of the coast we were about to visit. The van was very comfortable and stocked with cold waters and sodas. We stopped 3 towns along the coast. Positano, Revello and Amalfi. Pasitano was our favorite for being small and quaint with get small shops. Revello was small and not much going on other than the square and church. Amalfi was the biggest and very crowded. The ride to these towns was very scenic and the driver stopped at key points for the views and pictures.

Alessandro is absolutely amazing! His driving skills are excellent (which matters greatly given how winding the roads are), he does not cut corners and is incredibly courteous. We absolutely loved every moment of the tour.

Highly recommended! We had a perfect day around Amalfi coast, with multiple short stops! Don’t try to drive yourself, Alessandro is the way to go to enjoy it and see all the views!

Alessandro was fabulous and gave us so much information during our tour. He took us to a beautiful place for lunch and dropped us off at convenient locations to access all the towns. Impeccable driving and very patient with the traffic on the road. My husband and I highly recommend.

Alessandro the owner was fabulous, he was pleasant, and knowledgeable . We spent the day touring with him stopping in Ravello , Positano , Amalfi coast center. Alessandro’s driving tour of the Amalfi Coast is a MUST do! His professionalism, communication and welcoming nature made our family trip so incredible. We originally just booked him for the driving tour which was an incredible culture experience which was made even better because of his deep understanding and connection with the culture and history. Our group of five Canadians booked a tour with Alessandro on April 4, 2026 and it was truly the highlight of our time on the Amalfi coast. Alexandra was an exceptional host and driver - professional, personable and knowledgeable. He took us to beautiful scenic viewpoints, allowed plenty of time for photos and arranged a wonderful stop for lunch. Driving the coast on our own would never have compared; Alexandra insured we experienced the history, culture and hidden gems we would have otherwise missed. Alessandro was a terrific guide (and driver) while we traced the spectacular Amalfi coastline. The 3 of us were able to sit back and relax….soaking in the amazing vistas. We stopped in 3 towns (Positano, Amalfi & Ravello) and were able to explore the streets at our own leisurely pace. This is not a road the unfamiliar should be tackling (the locals and your passengers will thank you), we were in great hands!

Had the best time letting someone else (Alessandro) drive the beautiful Amalfi coast for us! What a great way to enjoy the spectacular scenery, while having an informative commentary of exactly where we were & what we were seeing. Alessandro Calemma from Alca Excursions provided a great service for my family and I during our holiday in Italy. He provided transfer services, Picking us up from the Naples train station and driving us to our hotel in Sorrento and back again a few days later. We were tired after a full day of train travel and it was great to have someone taking charge and leading us to his comfortable Mini van. He also led us on a private full day tour of the Sorrento and Amalfi coasts. He’s a local and so managed the tight winding roads with great skill. This was a fantastic day for my family and I and Alessandro knows all the great spots to stop at - as well as the best restaurants to eat at. Alessandro provided a very memorable, fun and interesting excursion. He is extremely knowledgeable of the Amalfi coast and proved it by giving us information about the towns and sites we were seeing throughout the entire day. He made reservations for us at Calanjanara, a restaurant between Positano and Amalfi. He arranged for a table in the front right corner of the terrace with a spectacular view of the coast and sea. The food was delicious, service was great and the price was reasonable. The road along the Amalfi coast is challenging for any driver. Alessandro demonstrated his skill throughout the whole day, showing his 15 years of experience. We felt very safe during the entire trip which added to our enjoyment. Great memories and great value!

Fabio was an attentive driver and excellent guide as well. He made sure I got the pictures I wanted and took me to a lunch site in Ravello with wonderful views from the terrace. You can’t go wrong with Fabio!

Great tour with knowledgeable driver! My husband and I had a lot of fun, and loved exploring the towns on our own. Our driver was great and even called ahead and requested the "best view" for a table at a restaurant near Amalfi.

We took two tours with Francesca and Alessandro. One to Pompeii and one of the Amalfi coast. Francesca and Alessandro were so kind and knowledgeable. They made the entire experience so much better. They are excellent hosts. I would highly recommend both. 10/10.

We enjoyed our day on the Amalfi coast. Our trip started in Napoli where we were picked up right outside of our BNB. Our tour guide Alessandro let us know of his progress because the company is based in Sorrento, which is about an hour away. Be aware that the trip from Napoli to the tour area is also about an hour, which is why we chose to be picked up. We had the choice of visiting three towns: Amalfi, Positano, and either Ravello or Sorrento. We chose Ravello. Our trip took us up over the mountains to Ravello, high above the coast and with great views of coastal towns. Then down to Amalfi and its beautiful cathedral. Then we stopped for a delicious lunch at the Calajanara Restaurant recommended by Alessandro. Our last stop was Positano, a pretty town built on a very steep slope. We had an hour at each stop, which was enough to admire Ravello and Amalfi, though you could easily spend much more time at each. At Positano, the views over the sea are wonderful but the distance and slope to the water and back is too great for the short amount of time we had. Overall, we are glad we went on the tour with wonderful views all along the way. Alessandro was a wonderful knowledgeable guide, and he gave us some good recommendations for food in Napoli and Capri.

Amazing, Ale came to us the last day of our trip and fixed the whole mood for us. He was pleasant, knowledgeable spoke English and great driver who knows his area very well. If we knew him before we would have used him the whole trip. We were able to change the program according to what we wanted to see, no protocols no. He stayed with us and extra one and half hour. He took us to olive oil tasting and the emerald cave, he took us to Sorrento, Amalfi, Positano where we ate at an authentic restaurant. All on all it was an amazing experience. We felt that we were in good hands.

If it was possible to give more than 5 stars then I would give 10. Alessandro picked us up right on time at our Airbnb. We drove the Amalfi coast, while Alessandro told us lots of information, pointing out things along the way. We stopped a few times for photo opportunities, which I really appreciated. Alessandro asked if we wanted a recommendation for lunch, and not only did he pick a fantastic restaurant, he also booked us a table, if your schedule works out to eat at Cafajanara do it! We had plenty of time at each town that we stopped in. If you book a tour with Alessandro you will not regret it.

Our driver was terrific. We went to the usual places but he brilliantly navigated the winding roads that were full of traffic and buses coming the other way. It is an area that everyone should see, but frankly when the tourist count is lower.

We had a great day with Fabio touring the Amalfi Coast. He recommended a stop at a winery where we had an amazing lunch with four courses, wine pairings, a quick tour of their production facilities, topped off with dessert and limoncello. One of the highlights of our trip!
