Pompeii Tour With Lunch And Wine Tasting From Positano

Pick up in Positano was easy. Driver, Antonello was very nice and explained a lot about the drive in to Pompeii. Pompeii was fascinating. Tour guide went very fast. Lunch, wine tasting and tour of facility was great.

If you only have time for 1 tour, it has to be this one. Antonelli was our driver and had great local knowledge of the places we passed on route to Pompeii, a pacy but great guided tour and a super lunch at the vineyard afterwards. A brilliant day out.

This was an excellent combo tour. The weather wasn’t the best for Pompeii but our guide was amazing. Cantina del Vesuvio was outstanding and the food, wine tasting and staff were great! Also, our driver Antonello was amazing and explained a lot of historic spots throughout our drive. He also had to take an alternate route because of a tunnel closure and boulders on the road that closed the main roads to Positano, which allowed him to show us some historic sites along the way. Antonello was energetic and fun! Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing the whole way through! Driver, Antonello, was on time and ready to go. Good driver, told us what we were passing by and was the best. Our tour guide Arianna was absolutely amazing. We are so lucky to have her. She was so knowledgeable about everything and knew where to walk and talk and what to pass by. She knew what she was doing. After passing by the other tours, we definitely had the best tour guide.

This was such a great experience! Honestly, I was not super excited to see Pompeii, but my husband really wanted to go so I made a compromise (the life of marriage - haha). I am so glad I did! Our driver was wonderful and drove expertly, which is a tough job in Italy. The tour guide at Pompeii clearly loved his job and made the whole tour fun and engaging. The winery after the tour was outstanding. Great food, beautiful location, and a fun tour of the vineyard. It was certainly a highlight of our trip thanks to amazing staff. 100% recommend,

The trip was great! Antonello did an amazing job as our driver getting us around! The Pompeii tour was also amazing and very informative ! The tour was long and hot but the history was so interesting. The winery and lunch were a great end to the days activities. Lunch was excellent although a little rushed. My husband and I loved the whole day!

We had an amazing experience, such easy travel led by our driver and tour guide. Michele was very communicative and our guid was very knowledgeable. Such a lovely day and would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn more about such historic grounds.

A must. Guide was fantastic and hit all the key points in Pompeii. The wine tour was a nice break before heading back to Positano. Great tasting wine. Meal good. All in all a good way to visit Pompeii from the Amalfi coast.

Our driver Antonello was excellent with pick up, drive, and return. His vehicle was very well air-conditioned, he gave us interesting facts about different spots we drove past, and was kind enough to stop at scenic locations for pictures. The communication with agent from Alaina regarding p/u spot was a little frustrating because of language barrier. She called the spot a "cave" and as an American, I was LITERALLY looking for an actual cave!! It was actually a curved spot off the side of the road. We figured out the spot after she sent a picture of the location. As far as the tour of Pompeii and lunch/wine tasting at the vineyard....both were excellent. Our tour guide at Pompeii was very knowledgeable and fun!! He provided so many interesting facts and details about how the city got, maintained, and used the rain water for their water system, how structures were built, how families and slaves lived, and daily life of the people of Pompeii. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it! Finally, our driver brought us to Cantine Russo winery where we were greeted with a glass of rose' then did a short tour outside in the vineyard. Afterwards, we had a nice and delicious lunch on the terrace with wine pairings for each course. Overall, this experience of combining the tour of the Pompeii ruins and lunch/wine tasting is something everyone should do when they visit the Amalfi Coast and stay in Positano!

This was a great experience, it was tops notch from the start , everything was well organized, our guide at pompei Paolo was excellent, full of knowledge, learned a lot of hystory, our driver Antonello was also great, arrived on time and went over everything with us, lunch and wine tasting didn’t disappoint, I highly recommend this tour

Michelle was the best driver and picked us up right in front of our hotel. Alona, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and showed us so many hidden gems in Pompeii. The lunch and wine tasting was the cherry on top of the whole day. 10/10 would recommend

We got picked up from our hotel in Positano and went right over to Pompeii. It was nice having a small group for the tour and being able to hear. Lunch was tasty and wine was delicious!

Our driver Michele was wonderful- very informative, kind, and helpful. He went above and beyond helping us figure out a last minute change of plans. The winery is beautiful, and we especially loved the sparkling rosé and pasta course.

Wonderful tour of the Pompeii ruins and interesting facts of the excavations. Our tour guide was fantastic and she answered all of our questions, was super friendly and had a great sense of humor. It was overcast when we went so sadly Vesuvius wasn’t visible until we arrived at the winery. But we were greeted by an extremely friendly staff and had some of the best wine we’ve ever had! Highly recommend!

Shuttle was exactly on time with a great driver that showed us the different towns and called out fun sights with time for pictures. Pompeii was great and guide was very informative and directed us to incredible views. The wine tour was incredible with amazing wine and delicious pasta with beautiful views of the volcano.

Great experience with lots of wine and great local tastings of cheese and pasta! A fun day trip! Highly recommend and a very small group of 4 total! So we got an intimate experience with Daniel as our archeologist who was very knowledgeable. Michele was a wonderful driver who drove not crazy like the others here.

The Pompeii tour was educational and engaging. Julia was a phenomenal guide and helped bring the city to life. Michele safely drove us on the narrow Amalfi streets and took care of us throughout the day. The wine tour and lunch at vesivius vineyard was fresh, the oil was especially good.

We had a lovely day traveling around with Antonio. We started at Pompeii with a two-hour guided tour and then did a wine tasting and winery tour at Cantina de Vesuvio. Antonio was responsive, proactive, and engaging throughout the day. A highlight of our trip!

Really cool site to see in Pompeii although two hours is probably not enough. The wine tasting was beautiful and was well worth the money we paid.

We saw a lot of Pompeii with a tour guide who was very knowledgeable! We also had a private car organized by the agency for the tour and our driver Vincenzo was so sweet! He picked us up in Praiano, brought us to Pompeii, then brought us to a wine tasting and lunch at the base of Vesuvius and then back to Praiano! We had an amazing day!

While the tour was very good, we were picked up in a vehicle that was too small. Four of us had to sit on one seat and none of us could sit with both buttocks on the seat; my friend ended up moving to the floor for our 1.25 hour drive. Please note that none of ys are large people. I reached out to tour organizer who apologized for the “small inconvenience “. Very unacceptable.

We had a great experience with Aiana travel. We booked a day trip to Pompeii and a winery tour, tasting, and lunch through Viator and everything went smoothly. They picked us up outside of our hotel in Positano and took us directly to the ruins of Pompeii and then to the winery and back to the hotel. The driver was punctual and professional. The tour guide of Pompeii (Claudia) was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Pickup driver was prompt and picked us up from our hotel and got us exactly where we needed to go to meet our tour guide, Sebastian. The information Sebastian gave us was interesting and quite humorous at times. Following the Pompeii portion, our driver got us to the winery where we had delicious foods with thoughtful wine pairings. Great experience top to bottom.

Great staff, easy pick up from the hotel, knowledgeable tour guide, and wonderful wine! No wait in line either, was able to go through the “fast lane”. It was a quick “tour” but food was fantastic along with the views!

Everything was perfect from start to finish. The driver picked us up in Positano on time, the guide brought to life the city of Pompeii. With masses of people at the site, he still managed to find us quiet places to stop and reflect. Lunch at the winery was an amazing experience. All followed by a long nap on the drive back to Pompeii!

This was wonderful. Everything was taken care of, from prompt pickup at the hotel, air conditioned private car, transfer to Pompei, and water to a great lunch at a winery with a fantastic view of the volcano. Nicola was great, and I loved the fact that the agency texted us at WhatsApp and we always knew when they were coming and where to meet them.
