Pizza School Experience From Sorrento

This was absolutely one of our favorite experiences in Italy. The family at Tirabuscio was so, so kind and fun. We had two young boys with us and Luigi kept them laughing and engaged the entire time. Truly a 10/10 experience and we hope to be back one day!

Learned a lot about making pizza. Very authentic and fun! Luigi was a great instructor who is engaging and personable.

It was a fun experience for the whole family. I was with my 20 year old son (his birthday) his friend(20s), my wife and I (50s) , and my parents (80s).

A lovely evening making pizza as a group. You learn the do’s and dont’s and make your own pizza in a lovely atmosphere with great teachers. The group I was part of were so friendly which helped along the way. Be prepared for pickup to be approximate

Learn how to make a traditional Italian pizza in the beautiful hills of Sorrento. Easy to do, lots of fun , a little messy but you get to eat your own pizza. Very good chef who was funny and great with all ages. Lots of tips.A lovely way to spend 2 hours.

Great experience and the best pizza we ever had! We had so much fun, they taught us about the ingredients and they also made their own fresh mozzarella and olive oil. It was a beautiful location. And we felt very welcomed as well as we met so many other travelers. It was an amazing experience.

What’s not to love? Delicious fresh pizza, handmade by us and our family, informative fun and friendly hosts and a beautiful authentic location and atmosphere. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this experience to anyone. All I will say is, skip breakfast and arrive hungry.

This is really a great class! It was fun, informative, and what’s not to love about pizza and wine! The chef was wonderful. She gave us so many tips and tricks not to mention wonderful recipe for pizza dough; we take cooking classes and most every country we go to and honestly, this was just a lot of fun! Highly recommend

Learning to make pizza up in the beautiful hills of Sorrento was a wonderful experience for everyone! Luigi was very entertaining and helpful as he taught us how to make our pizza dough. He had us laughing and having a good time during our entire tour.

My children and I had a great time. It was fun and informative. We learnt a lot about Italian culture and attitudes towards pizza making. We did the 11am lesson and I would recommend a later one as the pizza was filling. It was a bit too early to be eating pizza.

While on an organized trip, four friends snuck away to experience this wonderful activity. We learned some great tips and laughed a lot. Thanks so much!

The host Luigi was very funny and informative at the same time. We had a great time learning whilst having fun making pizzas ! It did get a bit hot and standing for so long at the start got a bit tiring at the start but once it started it was great !

Simply a fun family experience. A must do!! Laura was amazing and works hard at what she loves. Pizza was delicious!! But keep in mind that you do not get to taste your own dough because it takes 24 hours to rise. Nonetheless, pizza cooked in fire ovens are amazing!!

This was an amazing experience and definitely a must-do when in Sorrento!! We got picked up from pit agreed meeting point and driven to the restaurant just outside of Sorrento. There, we learnt how to make mozzarella and even got to try some :) Alongside making the pizzas, which was a phenomenal experience - the host was very entertaining and insightful - we got to have a capri salad as a started and some tiramisu for desert!! The host then gave all of us his recipes for pizza dough, tiramisu and more!! Definitely worth the money and I’m so glad I did this!! Definitely do this if you can and support this local business 💗💗💗

Great experience. Fun, easy and not too time consuming so we were able to do other things that day in Sorrento! Pizza was also delicious.

Luigi & Laura were wonderful! Since it was November, we were with a small group which was great! Luigi is dynamic & fun. We learned a lot on how to improve our pizza making. So much that when we got home, my husband immediately ordered the correct flour & yeast! This is a great time to spend while in Sorrento!

Having fun, learning how to make a delicious pizza for when we get home in our pizza oven. The school is very rustic in a beautiful setting.

The location is very inconvenient. I was the only person in the class, and it cost me €20 to take a five minute taxi ride the Porta Sorrento to the meeting place so that I would not be late. I contacted them and told them I may be running late. They should’ve told me that I was the only person that they would wait for me if I was running five or 10 minutes behind. I enjoyed the pizza class, although it is very simple. It would’ve been more fun with more people, and to have more flexibility with the ingredients that you want to try. The people were friendly. But I have traveled and attended classes around the world, and this does not rank as one of the best.

Pickup was on time and in an air conditioned vehicle. We met other couples and had great conversation. The class started with us sitting down in the outside area for caprese salad and olive oils to try with pita bread. We had a small glass of red wine. The pizza class included history and many jokes while we went through the steps. Super easy and fun way to bond. Instructor had a great personality. You finish up the class by going inside and stretching out the dough, picking your toppings & finally them cooking your personal pizza (few minutes!) we sat down to eat and received bottles of white wine to accompany our lunch. They provide tiramisu dessert too! Everything tasted so good. If you do the lunch class, don’t eat too much for breakfast. The pizza is filling & we wish we had room to eat more. You can get it in a to-go box.

What a great time. Luigi is the master pizza maker and master teacher. Learned so much and will definitely be making pizzas at home.

This event was a bust. We didn't get picked up on time. Once we arrived at the site, we were rushed through the process. Our pizza wasn't cooked enough. I would never recommend this tour.

Great way to spend the morning and early afternoon. The Pizza School folks explained everything including how to make the mozzarella cheese. We made the dough, prsssed the dough into shape, added our sauce and toppings. We went into the kitchen and watched as they placed our pizzas into their oven and as they baked. We went back to the tables and enjoyed our creations with a glass of vino. Highly recommend this tour.

It is a great way to have lunch or diner. You learn a little about making pizza and the one you make is delicious. If there is one thing I would suggest they improve on, it's to give clean apron. getting the used aprons from the group before is a bit underwhelming ! But this doesn't mean it's not a great activity.

The cooking class was ok and the pizza we made tasted good. But the big downside was that there was a lot of waiting around and a great deal of time spent not really doing anything.

It was a lot of fun. Luigi was a great teacher and very knowledgeable. I would recommend this to my friends.

We had the best time at the class! The fresh mozzarella was amazing, the pizza tutorial was great and of course the pizza was very yummy! Transport was easy to get from the plaza hotel too. Thank you so much for a lovely evening!!

The pizza making experience was great! It included more than just making a pizza. First, we were presented the process of making fresh mozarella, which we then tasted with foccacia and the variety of olive oils, sipping a glass of house wine. Then we learned some handy tips regarding pizza making: what's important when making dough, which ingredients can be combined, and which shouldn't. And most importantly, we made and ate our own pizzas. They were delicious!

What a great way to spend a morning. We learned so much about the pizza making process, learned how to make mozzarella, and even received dessert too! The instructors were knowledgeable and fun to work with.

This was AWESOME!!! Our family of six did the pizza class on our last day of a tour of Italy vacation. What a PERFECT way to end out time! We enjoyed so much pizza all over this beautiful country…. I could think of nothing better than learning how to make this food of the gods. We loved it! Our kids loved it! Outstanding customer service. Super friendly, super fun, super easy! Great for adults, teens and kiddos alike! You get to eat your individual pizzas and enjoy some vino. We even bought the chefs aprons for each of us as a souvenir. We loved this class! YES YES YES TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!

This was a great cooking class! Learned lots of new info that I will be taking home with me. The pizza was the best we had in Italy, to the point where I eat the entire thing in one sitting. Luigi picked us up right on time and drove us to the school! Luigi and his assistant made a personal connection with the kids immediately! Both were fun and helpful! The class moved at a great pace for all of us and Luigi even showed the kids how to throw the pizza dough up in the air! We took 3 cooking classes (different towns/different menus) on this trip and this was BY FAR the best!!

We LOVED this experience! This is not a tourist trap. This was an intimate experience with people who love sharing pizza making and Italian culture - 5 stars!!

Luigi was a superb host - it was a great class with lovely people. We learnt a lot and the pizza we made was great. Can’t wait to try again at home. It was a really rainy day and couldn’t think of a better way to spend it. Great fun for any age. Highly recommend. Thank you 😊
