A beautiful hike with gorgeous scenic views of the coast & the mountains. The guides had really cool knowledge on the area and were amazing to have there with us(Toni & Michel). You get to enjoy a stop at a Shepherds place in the mountain for a snack and refreshments which were all delicious. Would highly recommend!

The routes winds lightly downhill from Agerola to Nocelle offering a magnificent view of the Amalfi Coast and the island of Capri. This route is considered one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the world, and extends along several Amalfi towns. Along the path, it is still possible to admire the remains of ancient farmhouses and meet local shepherds who transport wood or milk with their mules to the villages below. Antónino was an excellent guide. Very informative & pleasant. He made the experience a lot of fun! I’d highly recommend to all!
This tour was amazing!!!!..this is a must..but..lots of stairs its a bit rough but just power thru. Top of mountain you meet the farmer Antonio for fresh food from his farm....thank you monica for the great tour and Miguel as our driver...thank you!
Beautiful hike on the iconic path of the gods! Nino was an amazing guide and the stop at Antonio’s for refreshments was very entertaining and special! I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I highly recommend!!
Beautiful scenery and a very knowledgeable guide. Also had a great wine and cheese break along the way with awesome views.
Views were spectacular, but hike was harder than we anticipated. We also left hike at Nichelle to go to Positano, big mistake.
This was a highlight of our trip. We are in our early 50s..active..healthy...but it was a bit intimidating at some points. The guides were wonderful and ensured everyone was safe and moving along at a pace that was pretty quick...yet lots of breaks. Out guide gave us a lot of history on the area and surrounding communities and always kept us informed. We ended up dirty..sweaty...and challenged...but would do.this over and over again...it was worth it!
Great, challenging hike with pretty views. Definitely need lots of water and great shoes. We would do it again, thank you!
This was a highlight of our trip. The spectacular trails and Amalfi coast vistas below you come to life with Nino's amazing commentary. You get history, tastes of wild herbs, an amazing but simple lunch at a shepherd's hut with million dollar views. Treking the path is a fair amount of up and down on some uneven surfaces, so you should wear good footwear for this type of walking but it's so worth the effort! You gain a real understanding of the Amalfi coast, how many cultures have influenced the farming and buildings. Nino and his team are amazingly professional, attentive and love their jobs.
Was picked up in the square at 8am Sorrento which was a 10 minute walk from our hotel €118 for two people , taken by coach 1 hour to the destination and a 4-5 walk but only around 4 miles circular walk with stunning views, I would say a medium difficulty, everyone could do the walk . Had lunch half way round at a locals farm house , was great . Guide Antonio and Jennette was excellent
Make sure you are confident in your physical abilities and fitness to take this hike. Having said it is spectacular and worth every step! The tour is run very efficiently and the guides are offer very informative information about the history of the area. They couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodationing!
We had Daniel as our guide accompanied by his mother. He was such a lovely person & very informative. The food at the shepherd's hut was a lovely experience. The views were spectacular & well worth the effort.
The hike was wonderful and the views were amazing. Dario and Monica were great guides and explained the history of the path. Would definitely recommend this tour.
Absolutely loved this hike. Tony was great! He stops to take plenty of breaks for you to catch your breath and enjoy the gorgeous views. They have two length options for the hike but views and experience are the same! You stop at a shepherds home where you have a picnic. The food was delicious. It felt like such a unique experience.
The team of Sorrento Hiking was great! The information shared during the hike was good. The stop for for and drink was very entertaining and a nice break. My only recommendation would be to make the description of the hike very clear that you do not do the full path from end to end - that you do the most scenic part as a loop and the shuttle picks you up where you started to set expectations.
Travelers will find this tour to be a bit challenging but totally doable with an option of an easier route. Our tour guide, Dario is part of the family that runs this tour. Both he and his cousin Daniel, I highly recommend. If you book with Viator you may be able to ask for them, Sorrento Hiking. The views are magnificent and the light lunch of home made goat cheese, tomato grain salad, bread, honey and wine was delicious and welcomed by the hikers. Antonio the shepherd and friend of the family also provides lively entertainment. You may want to bring a bit of cash to voluntarily donate to cover the lunch. You will find this experience exhilarate unforgettable. I will tell you that I’m a reasonably fit 74 year old. I took the high road and did not lag behind.😄
Nino and the team are brilliant. Really enjoyed the whole tour. What made it so special, was Nino’s passion for what he does which shines thru while on the tour. He takes you on a historical, cultural tour and has a great sense of humour. Antonio and the team did a great lunch while the hike has the best views. Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. 5 stars from me.
Nino was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about the history of the Amalfi coast. He was very helpful and kind throughout the hike!
The Path of the Gods was an absolutely unforgettable experience. Starting in the beautiful village of Bomerano, the walk takes you through some of the most stunning scenery imaginable, with breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast at almost every turn. One of the highlights was meeting Antonio, the local shepherd, along the way. Seeing him with his goats was such a lovely and authentic part of the experience, and it made the walk feel even more special and connected to the local way of life. Bomerano itself is beautiful and the perfect starting point for this incredible hike. The combination of dramatic mountains, sparkling blue sea, charming villages and the friendly locals makes the Path of the Gods truly magical. A wonderful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast — the scenery alone is worth every step!
I really enjoyed this tour. If you like an informative hike this is the one for you. They stop every 15 mins to provide information about the history of the walk, plants and are happy to answer any questions. One of the highlights for our trip to Sorrento.
This was an amazing experience walking The Path of the Gods with Nino. The views were breathtaking and it was a wonderful way to see a part of the World that is so beautiful. Nino made the experience really special by providing a narrative as we walked, showing us herbs and fruits, and introducing us to Antonio, a goat shepherd and amazing cook! Antonio provided us with a delicious lunch and musical entertainment. It was a real pleasure to sit outside his home and be treated to these gifts. If you are visiting Sorrento or the Amalfi Coast area, this is a "must-do" once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Our family of 4 really enjoyed this hiking tour of the Gods! The views were absolutely breathtaking! The hike was adventurous and our guide provided the history of the land we trekked through. We enjoyed a surprise tasting from the Shepard’s kitchen up on the trail overlooking the sea and village below! An overall spectacular day atop the Amalfi coast.
Absolutely first class. Had wanted to complete this trip for months and was in full panic when my train was late at Meta to meet the guide in Sorrento. I called the office and explained..not only dis the group wait for me, they sent Roberto who gave me a lift in the basket of his bike up the avenue in Sorrento to meet everyone. Talk about arriving in style!!. Nino was amazing as a guide, so informative not just about the actual Path of the Gods but about the surrounding area and Italy itself. The Path is spectacular, the natural terrain, plants, animals and of course the wonderful shepherd. Lunch was unreal. The hike itself was duelling in the heat but we trucked on. The views were fabulous and it was tough going at times. Without hesitation I would throughly recommend this trip, wear hiking shoes though and plenty of water. Loved it and thank you.
Nino and his son, Tony were the best! They were so informative and ensure safety for all. The hike was absolutely incredible and e had an excellent lunch halfway by Antonio.
Nino was the kindest and most knowledgeable guide ive had this whole week in Italy. I cant recommend this more.
An excellent trip, if you are looking between options choose this-it’s the original, family run and the team are brilliant, really well informed, fantastic drivers and very welcoming. A wonderful day and delighted I joined. Thank you
Fulvio was the best guide!! We had so much fun. Booked directly with SorrentoHiking. Would highly recommend it!!
Our tour guide Michele was amazing! He is very knowledgeable and he made sure everyone was having a good time. Highly recommend.
Amazing guide! Very knowledgeable and provided great history during our hike. Allowed plenty of rest breaks! We also got to do a halfway pit stop and meet a local Shepard and snack on some of his farm fresh goods! Was very beautiful and enjoyable!
A wonderful hike with beautiful scenery. We definitely appreciated the snack of bruschetta, cheese and wine along with some lively music. All together it was an excellent day trip the exceeded our expectations
This was such a highlight for me. I love hiking and the views on this hike are like nowhere else. You need to be in decent shape and it is a lot of climbing. Antonino was awesome!! Him and his Dad both had a group. Very informative and he stopped often to let us take pictures. Stopping at Antonio's sheep house for a snack was just so cool. The food was fresh and so good. It was such a great day and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast
Stunning views with a moderately difficult walk. The guide was very good and kept us informed about local history.
Our Path of The Gods hike was absolutely amazing. Antonio and his son were wonderful, engaging, kind and very knowledgeable guides. They shared a wealth of history and knowledge that would be such a shame to miss if you were to do this hike solo. They know their stuff and catered very well for all fitness levels in the group allowing ample stops along the way. The welcome and the food at the shepherds hut was most definitely a highlight. The most delicious fresh produce was very welcome indeed after working up an appetite. Would definitely recommend doing a guided hike with these great guys. Proper hiking shoes/boots are a must, along with water and a hat. Very doable but the right gear is a good idea.
We had a fabulous time! Our guide Michele was so informative and helpful throughout the entire hike and after. The views were spectacular! If you do the hike make sure you are in somewhat good shape as it is challenging in some parts. The light lunch at the shepherd’s place was very good. We even saw his goats coming down the mountain as we were leaving. Loved it all!!
Marco and Robbi were excellent guides giving lots of information about the local surroundings. Both very personable and accommodating.
The Path of the Gods Hike was breathtaking. We walked about 6 miles or so and saw amazing views of the area. Our Guide, Antonio, was very knowledgeable about all of the aspects of the hike and kept us at a good pace. The shepherd's house was an astonishing experience to see someone grow and make all of the foods he does with little technology that the Western Hemisphere is accustomed to. The hike itself can be challenging at times, but Antonio had perfect places to stop for water or a quick breather. The group size was a little large, so if you were in the back of the group, you wouldn't be able to hear what the guide was saying. I'd recommend slightly smaller groups in the future to allow for an even more enjoyable experience.
It was an amazing experience. The team was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. One in a lifetime experience. I will highly recommend doing this experience.
This was a great experience! Hiking up and down Francesco and Marco great guides. Loved the goats and party at the top. Fantastic views.
Absolutely incredible hike. The Path of the Gods lived up to every expectation, with jaw-dropping views around every corner. The combination of dramatic cliffs, beautiful coastline, and the sense of achievement at the end made it a truly unforgettable experience. A special mention to our guide, Nino, who was extremely knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about the local history, culture, and landscape throughout the walk. As an added bonus, we stopped for a delicious light lunch with a local family halfway through, which made the experience feel even more authentic and memorable. Without a doubt one of the best things I did on the Amalfi Coast.
Our guides, Daniel and Antonio were excellent. Kept us informed the entire time. Hike was exactly moderate as described. Good shoes a must. 2 bottles of water if a hot day like ours. .80°f+.
We had a great experience! Antonio, our guide, was very personable and knowledgeable! We really enjoyed this incredible hike- the views are spectacular! The stop at the shepherd’s hut was such a nice surprise! Wonderful view from the table with wine, water and snacks! Highly recommend this hike !
The path of Gods tour was fabulous. From the onset of tour Michele was engaging, entertaining, a font of information and a true pleasure to be with. He is one of the best guides we have had. The hike was challenging, but the pace was comfortable. Plenty of opportunities for photos. Another high point of the hike was lunch at the shepherd’s hut. An opportunity to have local cuisine and wine, along with live entertainment. This is a tour not to miss.
It is breathtaking in its views and offers some history and insights about the area. Physically somewhat challenging at times, but well worth it! Lunch in a rustic setting was charming.
Good shoes required The weather can change very quickly You need a head for heights Roberta was an amazing guide, very knowledgeable and considerate of all abilities.
Wonderful way to see the real Positano. We are experienced hikers and it was enjoyable. So glad we were prepared with our hiking boots and rain coats. Tony and his family created a great experience. Thoroughly enjoyed the Shepard’s Shelter.
Be aware that this is a very large group tour - we arrived with about 50 other people at the pickup point. We were split into 2 buses to take us to the beginning of the hike. It was about 1.5 hours to get to the beginning of the hike. Our tour included many people of various ages and fitness levels - we felt that the company could have split the group into different fitness levels at the beginning of the tour so that people could have hiked in similar groups. The hike was not difficult but we spent more time waiting on other group members than actually hiking. The stop at the shepherds house was nice albeit very touristy feeling. Be sure to bring tip money for the host at his house. The views of the coast were breathtaking once the clouds cleared. If we could do it again, we would pay the extra money for a private guide or a driver and done the hike ourselves rather than in a large group.
This was an A+++ activity, definitely our favorite one from Sorrento. Antonino is an amazing licenced guide, keeping the pace just right, taking appropriate pauses to tell us stories about the area and to allow us to take pictures of the beautiful scenery. The hike was challenging but doable. There was an optional shorter route for those who needed it. The lunch at the shepherd’s hut was a special highlight - delicious!. Make sure to bring some cash for a tip for the shepherd as you will feel it was well deserved. It was nice to find out that this is an excursion that is run by a local family business. So well done!
This was a very enjoyable hike, and the views the entire way were spectacular. Our guide, Antonino, was awesome. He made sure everyone in the group was able to keep up, and he made stops at several places to give us some history and background. The hike was moderately strenuous, but not too tough. We stopped at a shepherd's lodge to have some snacks made from local farms. They were delicious. I definitely recommend this hike if you are in Sorrento!
The Path of the Gods home was beautiful and remote. Best view by far than anything you would get anywhere else. The stop at the Shepherds house was icing on the cake. The only reason for the 4/5 was because the level of fitness required for this tour is far above what is listed in the description of the hike. You have to be in great shape in order for the hike to be spectacular
Our Path of the Gods hike with IAMME IA! was hands down one of the best highlights of our entire trip. The views were absolutely breathtaking—every turn felt like a postcard—but what truly made the experience special were the incredible guides. They were knowledgeable, engaging, and took the time to explain the history and significance of different sites along the hike, which made everything feel so much more meaningful. We especially appreciated how supportive and attentive they were to everyone in the group. They respected each person’s pace, never rushed us, and made sure we could take breaks whenever needed. It made the hike feel enjoyable and accessible rather than stressful. One of the most memorable parts was the hospitality of the shepherd who welcomed us along the way. He cooked for us, sang for us, and created such a warm, authentic atmosphere—it felt like a truly special cultural experience rather than just a hike. Everything about this tour felt genuine, thoughtful, and beautifully curated. We couldn’t recommend it more highly—an absolute must-do on the Amalfi Coast!
