The exclusive lemon grove, site in Sant’Agnello, will give customers an experience between history and tradition, surrounded by a scenery, suspended between land and sea. Very nice experience. Love supporting a 400 year old family business.
Pia was fantastic!. Knowledgeable, a true local. Light lunch in the orchard was fresh and filling. Can not say enough good things. Will visit her shop of local specialties tomorrow.
My husband and I had a spectacular time at the lemon farm! A lovely girl whose name I’m sad to say I can’t remember gave us a very thorough and wonderful tour showing us how the lemons are grown, packaged and shipped. She also treated us to some lemon desserts, and drinks at the end. The experience was extremely informative, eye-opening entertaining, and I highly recommend.
Amazing tour with Alexia I would highly recommend this tour… so personal and friendly!
It’s a local lemon family farm that goes back 5 generations. Alexia, our tour guide, was punctual, informative, and thorough explaining the ins and outs of farming and the family business.
They initiated WhatsApp communication the day before the ensure we knew where to meet - the main farm is a 20 minute walk from the shop and restaurant in Sorrento. Alexa who gave us the tour was excellent; she gave us a real insight to the industry and how the farm works without getting too heavy on content. She was also great with our kids (9/11). We walked through the beautiful orchards whilst she gave us just the right level of information. The view at the tasting point is absolutely incredible. The produce we tasted was GORGEOUS! Definitely the best limoncello we’ve tasted as well as fresh lemonade and lemon and orange marmalades. A great way to spend an hour.
Fab experience! Tour was brilliant. Highly recommend if visiting sorrento. Host & family very accommodating
This family owned and operated Sorrento business is amazing. Be sure and take full advantage of the lemon farm tour and tasting in nearby Sant' Agnello. Pia Ruoppo, one of the family members, provided our tour and we thoroughly enjoyed it. In addition to seeing the lemon farm agricultural process, we were treated to amazing Mediterranean views from the farm overlook and sampled some tasty farm products. Later, we visited their nursery and shop in Sorrento and came home with some great finds. Take the time to do this and you will be glad you did!
We just visited the Sorrento Lemon farm on May 30th. We had a wonderful experience with Alexis. There was so much to see and learn. We were able to see the manufacturing process, walk through the farm and learn about the type of lemons and growing process. The view of the bay was stunning! Alexis provided us with some snacks in order to enjoy the taste of the lemons! It was magnificent and we were able to walk back to our Airbnb 😊highly recommend!
Alexia was an excellent host! We loved learning about the history and story of the lemon farm. The grounds were beautiful, and sampling their products-even better
Excellent tour of a working lemon farm. Our guide Pia was very knowledgeable and friendly. In addition to seeing the lemon farm, we were invited to tour the villa of the owner. I would highly recommend this tour and Pia!
We really enjoyed our tour, learnt a lot about lemons and the local area. Our guide was lively. Lunch showcased local food - cheese, olives, tomatoes, olive oil and bread and was delicious. Lunch finished with lemon sorbet and limoncello.
This was boring. The guide was nice but was not into it. It was very uneventful. Fo not recommend. It was a very scripted none. Interested type of guide The people who are working. There seemed annoyed that we were there .
We did the Lemon Tour at Sorrento Lemon Farm. We had a lovely time and found the tour very interesting! We also really enjoyed tasting the lemon and orange marmalades, lemonade and limoncello. Would highly recommend
Beautiful site and lots of knowledge! Beautiful views. Guides were knowledgeable and very welcoming. I recommend highly.
This was one of the best trips we did as it was so nice to learn about the culture and tradition from Alexia. She was wonderful and very informative of the family dynasty and the lemon groves. The location as well was so beautiful and ideal.
On our last day in Sorrento we were lucky enough to take a tour of this lovely family owned lemon farm and villa. Our guide, was so kind and gave us the history and background of the farm and explained their process of growing lemons. She has only been working there a few weeks and I would never had known. The Villa is amazing as well, the kitchen reminded me of my Nona's. Our tour included a tasting of delicious foods for lunch. It was the best lunch I had in Italy. So fresh! The woman that runs the tour was very gracious. It made our last day in Italy special. Do not miss Vivaio Ruoppo if you have the chance. You will not be sorry. Rose
Lovely tour of a family run business. Have never seen such fresh lemons. This lemon grove is a little out of the sorrento main town.
Myself and my partner had the absolute best morning here, it was definitely a pinch me moment. Our guide was absolutely amazing and her english was really good. We will never forget out time here. They set out a lovely table for us in the most beautiful private garden over looking the sea for us to try there products. There shop in Sorrento is definitely worth going too also. Thank you Sorrento Lemon Farm for making our holiday so special. Ash and Becky x
We had a wonderful lemon farm tour with Pia. She walked us through a beautiful lemon grove, explained the history and growing process of the lemons and oranges, answered our many questions. The tour ended with a beautiful over look of the ocean and she prepared a delightful bit of refreshment in the shade of the lemon trees. She was so nice and we really enjoyed it.
The history of Sorrento groves, tasting at the end, the scenery all around you through out the tour.
Pia was a lovely Tour Guide and told us all the details about the Sorrento Lemons and its cultivation. She added a personal touch to the tour. The marmalade, lemonade and limoncello tasting was lovely. We recommend booking your tour with Pia. 🍋
Great tour! Our tour guide was excellent. Very informative and knowledgeable. We had a great time. The tour was just my husband and I so it ended up being a private tour. We had snacks and tasted the lemon grove’s own lemonade and limoncello! 🍋🍋
A delightful and authentic tour that details the history of the region’s lemons as you amble through the lovely grounds of one of the oldest lemon farms in s Sorrento. It also includes tastings of lemonade, marmalade and limoncello. Highly recommend.
Beautiful location and very experienced and nice host. We learned about the lemon trees and were able to take beautiful pictures. We also got to try the delicious lemoncillo. Highly recommend
Pia was one of the most genuine tour guides we had in Italy - she was truly super. We were most surprised by the details of how and where the lemons of Sorrento got their origin. Highly recommend this tour.
My husband and I recently kicked off our honeymoon with a guided tour of the Sorrento lemon farm and limoncello tasting, and it was absolutely perfect! Pia, our tour guide, was phenomenal—warm, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about the craft. She made the experience not only informative but also incredibly fun. The picturesque lemon groves were a feast for the eyes, and the fresh, fragrant lemons added an extra touch of magic to our visit. The limoncello tasting was a delightful highlight, and the views at the farm were something we will never forget. This tour was the perfect start to our trip, creating memories we'll cherish forever. Highly recommend!
This was the best tour. The lady is so lovely and informative. We got to go into the actual lemon farm, see the workers and take in all of the views by the coast. The views are amazing!
We went to the nursery tour in Sorrento. It was a really pleasant experience where our hostess Pia guided us through the family history, the Sorrento lemon, how to make lemoncello and of course tasting lemon specialties in a truly marvelous nursery setting. A recommended tour for everyone visiting Sorrento and want to experience something different from the city.
What a great way to spend an afternoon! Our hotel was just a 5 minute walk so for us the location was very convenient. Very beautiful & informative walk through the orchards. I even got to harvest a lemon!🍋 The limoncello and snacks after the tour were a beautiful touch. Along with a gorgeous, printed limoncello recipe! The view over the sea was gorgeous, thanks for the pictures!! Would definitely recommend if you’re nearby😊
We enjoyed seeing the lemons being processed and walking through the groves. The snacks and drinks overlooking the ocean were such a treat. Pia was engaging and enthusiastic. She even made sure we had gluten free bread due to a food allergy. We loved this tour and the history of lemons in Sorrento.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the private lemon tour! Our tour guide Maria (I believe that was her name) was so sweet and knowledgeable about this history of lemons, we learned so much. The property is beautiful, she walked us through the groves and explained how the growing and harvesting process works, as well as the differences between the lemons. We were then led to a stunning sea view where we had a delicious bruschetta with lemon and orange jam paired with the best lemonade I’ve ever had and yummy limoncello! I would definitely recommend this tour, you learn a lot, get delicious snacks and drinks with a view, and the guide is amazing.
We did the guided lemon tour at Vivaio Ruoppo. We got a very nice tour of the lemon 🍋 vineyard and a very comprehensive and clear explanation on the cultivation of lemons. In the same vineyard, there are also wallnut trees and olive 🫒 trees. So we also got information about the cultivation and pressing process of olives for production of (extra virgin) olive oil. We enjoyed the tour very much! At the end there was a tasting of home-made marmelade (lemon and orange), as wel as home-made lemonade and off course … limoncello. All this with the marvellous view on the bay of Naples. Thanks a lot to the perfectly English-speaking hostess/guide. Thank you for this lovely experience. It certainly is a must-do, when you visit Sorrento 🥰
Had such a lovely experience on this lemon tour. Learnt about the amazing history of lemons. Ended with a lonely tasting experience of their lemonade and limoncello. Thank you!
Our guide Pia who was really nice was really good at explaining about the place, the lemon in Sorrento's history, we saw them famous Villa from Susanne Bier's film “The Shale Hairdresser” as well as a fantastic view as well as a little tasting of Limocello and 2 kinds of jam. We also saw the production.
