Such a fun experience, Carla and Rocco were wonderful! We absolutely recommend to anyone else looking for a memorable experience in Praiano!

What a wonderful experience!! It ended up just being the 4 of us (husband and 10 year-old twins) in the lovely back patio/garden of their home overlooking the cliffs and water. Rocco and Carla were so kind and welcoming and engaged with our kids. We were there in the middle of a July heat wave but were still very comfortable, with fans around and the breeze off the water. We came on bus then foot from a swim at Fiordo Di Furore, so the water, wine, and appetizer they prepared at our arrival were very welcome!! And the food was delicious!! We all enjoyed learning the different pasta shapes and tools and tricks to make it. And the dessert cups were fun to assemble and a sweet treat at the end. We highly recommend this experience and would to return one day.

We had a fantastic cooking class with Rocco and Carla! They used fresh, local ingredients and explained a lot about the products and local cuisine. We joined the class with our three children, aged 8, 11 and 13, and they absolutely loved it too! It was a wonderful experience for the whole family. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy an authentic Italian cooking class in a warm and welcoming atmosphere!

We had the BEST time at Bé Genuine in Praiano! Rocco and Carla are warm, funny, genuine, and incredibly generous. The food was delicious, and we loved actually participating in such an important part of their home. It was very special to hear their story, learn about their family traditions, and watch the pride and hard work in what they do. Everything was organized, efficient, relaxed and full of laughter. Communication was perfect. Ingredients were perfect. We left with full stomachs and happy hearts. Truly one of the highlights of our time in Praiano—we would absolutely recommend it!

This was truly one of the best days of our entire trip to the Amalfi Coast! My mom, my husband, and I had such a wonderful time at this cooking class in Praiano. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed by this lovely family. They were warm, genuine, and made the entire experience feel personal and special. The setting was absolutely gorgeous, with breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast that made the day even more memorable. And the food and wine were fantastic! We loved learning how to prepare different pasta and then sitting down together to enjoy everything we had made, paired with wonderful family wine. It was the perfect combination of delicious food, beautiful scenery, and great company. What made it especially meaningful was being able to share this experience with my mom on her first trip to Italy. It was one of those travel days that we’ll all remember for a long time. If you’re visiting Praiano, do not miss this experience! It’s so much more than a cooking class—it’s a beautiful, authentic, and incredibly enjoyable taste of Italian family life. Rocco and Carla (and their two cute children) hosted us in their garden for an authentic Italian experience. The group was only my wife and I and one other recently married couple who also ended up staying at the same hotel as us. Rocco was a great host and talked with us before and after Carla taught us the recipes. We made Zuppa Inglese which is a traditional Italian dessert combining the leftovers from the week. I can’t recommend this experience enough. Please go see Rocco and Carla.

We had a great time at Rocco and Carla! Rocco could tell us a lot about Italian kitchen and how to recognize fresh fish for example. Carla showed us her techniques for making pasta. And overall there was a really good atmosphere. The recipes we made were delicious and they were also sent to us afterwards, so we can try them at home.

We booked this cooking class to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and it was hands-down the best, most memorable meal of our entire Amalfi Coast trip!!! Staying in Praiano Rocco and Carla welcomed us like family, teaching us their own generational recipes using fresh ingredients they grow themselves — you could taste the difference in every bite!!!! We cooked, laughed, and then sat down to enjoy it all together with their homemade grappa and wine which is DELICIOUS!!! They are Warm, generous, and completely unforgettable… If you're visiting Praiano, don't miss this experience!!!!

A taste of the craft of simple Italian cooking and a peek into life in Praiano. Rocco taught us about the area and was an expert given his centuries of family heritage in the area. Carla taught us how to make many pasta shapes which was so fun and I'm excited to recreate at home! We even got to meet their children and share stories of our lives with the other tourists and our hosts. Lovely family and a great experience

Highly recommend Bé Genuine Cooking Class! Such an authentic, family-run experience in Praiano. Rocco and his wife Carla were so welcoming and taught us how to make fresh pasta from scratch, including gnocchi, bow ties and different pasta shapes. We learned their family recipes, enjoyed homemade wine and appetizers, and ended the evening eating the meal we made together. Everything felt so genuine and personal, and you can tell how much love they put into the experience. We also lucked out with such a fun group! If you’re looking for an authentic cooking class in Praiano, definitely add this to your trip. 🤌🇮🇹 P.S. Be prepared for the stairs 😂 but it’s worth it!

This cooking class was great! Rocco and Carla hosted us in their home. They have a nice outdoor kitchen space on their property that they held class in. The class size was only 6 people. Carla taught us how to make a stuffed zucchini appetizer, homemade pasta, and some dessert. All 3 were delicious! Rocco served us tons of great homemade wine. Rocco is a trained sommelier and Carla is a chef, so everything was perfect. I can’t recommend this enough!

We did Rocco & Carla’s cooking class a few days ago and it was an amazing class - we learned so much, had a lot of fun, and felt right at home with them. Almost every single ingredient used was from their own garden/animals or a family member’s. They change the menu everyday. They also send you the recipes afterwards, my husband and I are excited to make them at home. Do this class if you’re looking for an authentic experience instead of a tourist trap. We would absolutely do it again!

Rocco and Carla generously open up their backyard of their home to teach authentic Italian Cooking. The class is located off the beaten path but they make it easy to get to class with a great meeting spot. The views from the cooking spot are so pretty. Class was fun. I have done similar experiences. On the pluses: 1) class is very small so you get to chat with hosts a lot and learn about their life and food passion 2) items we made were good 3) beautiful spot 4) wonderful hosts. On the what could improve: 1) would have preferred being more engaged in the actual prepping and cooking the food, Carla does a lot 2) perhaps add an appetizer to the class whether you make it or not. We really only did one pasta recipe and from there did different shapes. We did not make the sauces. Dessert was tasty but simple. I definitely would recommend this class and felt the value was fair , especially if looking for an authentic expereince. If a person is a super foodie or advanced in the kitchen. one might want a more complicated experience. That may be possible but we did not ask in advance.

This was the best experience we had on the coast. They went above and beyond for my fiancé and I. Aside from the amazing food Carla taught us how to make, her and her husband have the biggest hearts in all of Amalfi. They truly made sure that we were taken care of even outside of the cooking class. Carla was SO good at making pasta, she showed us all of the ways to make different shapes. Her garden was full of fresh herbs. Rocco came down to grab us from the drop off area. They went above and beyond for my fiancés proposal. If we ever come back, I will be calling our new friends up right away. Thank you for everything.

Carla and Rocco are truly the sweetest family, and this was hands down one of the best experiences my husband, Julièn, and I had during our honeymoon in Italy. We booked a private cooking class at their beautiful home, and from start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. Rocco even came to find us so we wouldn’t have any trouble locating the house. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel like family. He welcomed us with the most delicious homemade wine (I’m still begging him to bottle and sell it someday!), and his warm, funny personality instantly made us feel at home. Their backyard is absolutely breathtaking, with incredible views and beautiful fruit trees all around. It felt like stepping into a dream. Carla was an amazing teacher. She showed us how to make fresh pasta completely from scratch in such an easy, fun, and approachable way. She was patient, encouraging, and answered every question we had. She made sure both my husband and I had the chance to learn every step, and she created such a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. It honestly felt like cooking with family. One of our favorite moments was getting to meet their adorable daughter at the end. It was such a special surprise, and we loved spending time with all of them. We truly didn’t want the class to end. The meal was incredible, the flavors were to die for. The homemade dessert, their delicious zuppa inglese—was absolute perfection. This wasn’t just a cooking class; it was an unforgettable experience that became one of the highlights of our honeymoon. Carla and Rocco made our trip so incredibly special, and we are already talking about coming back. Every time we visit Italy, this will be at the top of our list, and next time we’re bringing our friends with us. We loved this cooking class! An absolute highlight of our honeymoon, this cooking class offered a warm, friendly, and fun introduction to Praiano and the local cuisine. The hosts (husband and wife) were so lovely and kind, literally hosting us in their backyard and sharing their family recipes. We learned how to make a variety of pasta shapes and made an Italian dessert. The wine kept flowing and the small group setting was lovely. Recommend!

We had the best time with Rocco and Carla. They treated our family and children so well being very patient and showing the kids how to make pasta. The food was amazing as well as the wine and learning recipes passed down generations was a unique experience. It was far better than any of the restaurant cooking classes as it was authentic and family style. We loved learning about their family and culture and spending the day there it was well worth the money and the experience.

We had the best experience at our cooking class in Praiano at Be Genuine with Carla and Rocco! They welcomed us into their outdoor kitchen overlooking their garden and the sea. Rocco explained everything to us and Carla was the one who we cooked with. They first gave us a beautiful appetizer platter, then we made a fabulous dessert and finally we made two types of pasta. Everything was so simple, but extremely fresh and delicious! I would highly recommend you book this cooking class! It’s a 10/10 experience for sure!

My family had a wonderful time with Rocco & Emilio! They were so warming, it felt like we were with family cooking a meal. We shared stories, laughs, and they gave us so much insight on their culture, and this town. I had boys aged 7,12,14,18 plus my husband and me and we enjoyed it. Rocco was quick to respond and very communicative. He was very prompt and friendly. If you’re looking for a genuine Italian cooking lesson, in a genuine Italian home (not an indoor kitchen but an outside kitchen), with a genuine Italian family, then this is the cooking lesson you will enjoy. We started with bruschetta and their family made white wine, which led into preparing stuffed eggplant (My personal favorite of the day and I didn’t think I liked eggplant!), moving on to their family made red wine while we had fun making two different kinds of pasta of our choosing. While the eggplant was cooking and the pasta sauce and noodles (cooked al dente)as well, we made our desserts which consisted of sweetened mascarpone and mascarpone with cacao, in layers with cookies, drizzled in homemade mandarin juice made from the tree right next to where we were cooking. While our desserts,were chilling, we started our meal and enjoyed amazing food and wonderful company. We finished with their homemade liqur and our homemade desserts. It was amazing. Could not have asked for a better morning/afternoon. Can’t wait to make the eggplant! Thank you Rocco and Karla!

Rocco and Carla put on such a fun cooking class in their garden space which was beautiful and comfortable. We had a decent-sized group (10) but Carla and Rocco set a stage which made it feel like being together with long time friends. We made dinner and dessert which turned out terrific and the homemade wine was an added bonus. Would recommend and would do again. 10/10!

The family is super genuine and fun and I really enjoyed the experience. We've never made homemade pasta before and it was surprised how easy it is to get started. I'm not gonna be a master like them, but I'll definitely be cooking my family when I get home! Also, remember to try out the wine when you get there. They don't sell it. So this is your only shot to try it. It's amazing.

Our host referred us to this cooking experience, and we are so thankful for it! Rocco and Carla are a lovely couple who truly make the experience welcoming and delicious. We had our two girls, ages 8 and 11, who were enthralled with the pasta making process. After the cooking was finished, our family enjoyed a lovely dinner with fresh, organic ingredients and homemade wine (red and white). We loved the authenticity of the environment and conversations had as our girls just ran around the outdoor space.
