We did an all day tour with Marco, our driver with Compass tours, starting in Positano, heading south to Amalfi, then back north to Sorrento. He did a great job describing where we were, what we were seeing, and catered to our needs & goals for the day. We stopped at some great shops & he was right on time to pick us up when we texted. Also very important was his driving. He managed the extremely curvy roads smoothly which minimized the potential to get motion sickness. We recommend Compass Tours & be sure to ask for Marco!

Participating in the full day private Sorrento & Amalfi Coast Tour is a must for a broader understanding of each of the major cities in the region. You can get a good view and understanding of the area to determine where you might spend more time in a specific location. Our time with Marco, our driver / tour guide, was a pleasant experience. His knowledge of the area was essential for a successful outing. We had the opportunity to walk and explore Amalfi, Sorrento and Ravello. Marco was courteous and on-time picking us up and meeting at designated places during the journey. We had a great time.

Tony was awesome! He was very accommodating and made sure we were happy from before pick-up to after drop off. We decided to book a last minute Compass tour with a driver to more easily see Sorrento and the Amalfi coast (we were based in Positano). I can’t rave enough about how great our driver, Marco was! He gave us background on the areas we were seeing and geared our day to the things we wanted to do. We saw so much in one day , more then we could do by ourselves! Would highly recommend Compass tours and trying a driver - the best way to go!!

We have never traveled to Italy before and it was my job to arrange tours. There are so many companies out their and we were very fortunate to schedule with Compass Tours. Our driver, Marco was the best guide we had during our Italy vacation. He was not only extremely knowledgeable, but patient, and had a great personality. Spent the day on a private tour with Marco. It was our visit time to Italy. He was not only an amazing driver (you have to be to drive in this area) but a knowledgeable, polite, entertaining and a genuine great guy. He was patient with our crazy shopping, gave great tips on things to do in the areas he took us to and made this one the most memorable days on our vacation. Wonderful full day experience of Almafi coast and Sorrento! Marco was so knowledgeable and accommodating. He provided such detail of the history as well as best places to grab a pastry or limoncello. He was very flexible with how much time we got to spend in each place and we're able to adjust throughout the day. So friendly and personable. Our driver was Claudio and he was absolutely amazing! What an excellent driver navigating those tight winding roads throughout the Amalfi Coast! Claudio was so knowledgeable and extremely personable. He made my wife and I feel as if we knew him for years! For us, Claudio is our personal driver always!! Thank you so much Tony for sending us Claudio! Bravo!!

We were contacted by Tony 5 weeks prior to our trip, thanking us for our booking and giving us his contact information should we need it. The night before our tour we received another text confirming the details, including our driver’s name and a description of the van. Communication like this is very reassuring! Claudio our driver was fantastic! He shared the history of the area and took us to places of interest, always making sure that we were happy with the itinerary, and asking if there was anything else that we wanted to do. He is a skillful driver and a great conversationalist too. Definitely ask for Claudio when booking. Great company to work with!

Claudio was an excellent guide who customized our tour based on our interests. He is affable, knowledgeable about the area and an excellent driver on the crowded and narrow roads. He suggested a place to stop that had excellent porcelain and had excellent quality. We went to Ravello and loved the area/ had free time to explore and take in the views…then it was off to Amalfi where we took a ferry and enjoyed the coast by sea at a very reasonable cost. He knew the best places to stop and also added a lot of local facts. He suggested a lovely restaurant for lunch which was reasonable,had nice ambiance, and fantastic views away from the maddening crowds in the Amalfi square. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day

Marco shared the history of each of the areas we traveled through and to, with amazing detail, and he has a wonderful sense of humor!! He made sure we had enough time in each of our destinations and was gracious and kind. Compass Tours gets an A++ from me and I would definitely use their services again for future trips to Italy.

WOW!! This excursion exceeded my expectations!! We had Tony as our driver (twice during our visit to Sorrento- once as a transportation from Naples to Sorrento, with a stop in Pompeii), and secondly the Amalfi Coast tour. It was questionable weather for our tour day and Tony graciously offered to change days for us. Tony was so accommodating to everything and anything we wanted to see or do, and was SO knowledgeable on the area. He didn’t just drive us to one point to the other, he gave us fun and interesting information about the areas we’re were in and passing through. Highly recommend him as your driver!! The Amalfi tour itself was MAGICAL- I can not recommend it enough!! Tony stopped at the most amazing view points to snap pictures along the way, and we were able to see everything we wanted and more!! We will be back, and I’ll be asking for Tony! ; )

This was exactly what we were looking for. Our driver Marco picked us up near our hotel in Positano. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and gave us the freedom to change the itinerary as desired. First we visited Amalfi. We then ended up loving Ravello so we spent more time there and decided to skip the long drive to Sorrento. This also gave us extra time for a short stop in Atrani so we could see some filming locations from Ripley. Marco dropped us off in each location and it was easy to message him when we were ready for pickup. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Amalfi coast if you want the freedom of a private driver.

Claudio was excellent. Provide details, history, funny facts, etc of the various towns and sites. He was very knowledgeable about the area and answered our questions. He was personable, friendly, flexible, and accommodating. Suggested a great lunch venue with wine and food pairing:tasting and a wonderful view of Sorrento. He did a terrific job driving the dangerous, curvy roads. Show a lot of patience and was funny. Really enjoyed our trip thanks to him.

Tony was a great tour guide. It was a rainy day but we still had a great time. Tony provided a lot of historical information. He was patient and adaptable. Through conversation, you can tell he is such a honest, respectful and kind man, it was a good day and a great way to see a lot of the area.

I’m so glad we did this so that we could get a taste of some other parts of the Amalfi Coast. We had 1 hour in Amalfi, 1 hour in Ravello, 2 hours in Sorrento, and made several other stops along the way for pictures, lemon granita, and a ceramics store. Our driver Luciano was friendly and he pointed out sites throughout the drive and taught us a lot of things about the area. We had a great time!

Claudio was a fantastic guide. He made many wonderful recommendations including a fabulous wine tasting with lunch. He made our day very enjoyable.
