The drive from Naples to the Amalfi Coast is a bit long. However, when you have a private driver as excellent as Marco, the drive flies by. Plus we were given great bits of history along the way. The Coast is truly beautiful. This trip was incredible from beginning to end. Marco was totally professional and also very personable. Throughout the day he gave us options to allow us customize this trip. My wife, our friend and I had an amazing day!

My friend recommended Tony and Compass Tours so when my mother, sister, and I visited Sorrento we used them for our transfers to/from Rome, for a private tour of Pompeii, and an unforgettable day exploring the beautiful Amalfi Coast from Sorrento to Ravello. Tony, the owner, was prompt, professional, and attentive in coordinating our trip. Marco, our guide on the Amalfi Coast was an absolute delight—engaging, fun, and passionate about sharing this special part of Italy. We felt safe and comfortable with him throughout the day, and he tailored the pace to our wishes, allowing time to rest, eat, and enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. Our private full day tour to the Amalfi Coast was absolutely incredible. Our guide, Lorenzo, picked us up on time and his car was clean and comfortable. Our first stop was in Positano. Lorenzo gave us great recommendations of things to see and do. After Positano, we went straight to Ravello per our request. Lorenzo said he could make a lunch reservation for us and we are so happy we agreed because the view from the restaurant was unbelievable and the food was delicious. Lorenzo was an excellent driver and tour guide. He had so many great facts and stories, showing us many hidden gems and beautiful sites along the way. Lorenzo takes great pride in not only his job, but his heritage as well and it was truly amazing. I would recommend Compass Tours for any activities you would like to do in Sorrento and the nearby towns, and definitely ask for Lorenzo!

Tony was friendly, accommodating, and extremely knowledgeable. He planned our tour to meet our specific needs, and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. We not only got to see a ton of amazing spots, but we also learned so much. I would highly recommended this tour to anyone looking to explore Sorrento and the Amalfi coast in comfort. The Mercedes van was clean, comfortable and had great AC. This is a must-do and worth the cost.

Tony was great teacher of the many historic sites along our awesome trip today. Safe driver along narrow roads and extremely knowledgeable and proud of the area we traveled. This was our first trip to Amalfi coast, and Tony made it a special day for both of us.

Fun trip to check out the Almagi coast. Communication was excellent from our driver Tony. Provided some information while driving us to each city. Provided options to do in each city and helped us make some decisions with the changing weather. Excellent trip… I would highly recommend.

This private Almalfi Coast tour was absolutely wonderful! Our driver was Marco, who was extremely knowledgeable about the history of every stop along the way. The tour started from picking us up directly at our hotel. There was no waiting on Marco to show up, as he was actually 15 mins early. As soon as we got in, we felt comfortable with him as he was extremely kind. He even had a cooler in his trunk to provide us complimentary bottles of water throughout the day. The vehicle was a very nice Mercedes van with super comfortable seats. We stopped in Positani, Praiano, and Ravello, and just drove through Lamalfi. You can stop at all of these places, but with the crowds in Almalfi, we decided to just drive through and spend more time in Ravello instead. This was definitely the right choice for us! It was absolutely beautiful and much more laid back than Almalfi. Throughout the ride, we asked many questions about the area and history, and Marco answered them all! He even stopped at a very nice porcelain shop where we bought souvenirs since we mentioned that was something we were interested in. I highly recommend this private tour of Almalfi, and especially our guide Marco!

Great excursion with Marco. Easy pick up and return to our cruise port. Marco was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information while we saw the beautiful sights.

Marco was an outstanding driver and guide. He was friendly and courteous, giving us a lot of information about what we were seeing, and the Mercedes van was clean and comfortable. We asked him to drop us off at the Amalfi port so we could return to Sorrento by water, and he arranged the timing of the tour to accommodate us. He waited to make sure we had our tickets before saying farewell.

Lorenzo picked us up promptly at our Airbnb and took us down the Amalfi Coast. He was very accommodating offering us many stops at viewpoints explaining the history, peoples and current events answering all our questions. Lorenzo was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic.

Marco was one of the best guides we’ve had; he was on time, tailored our visit to what we wanted, was very knowledgeable about the area and had an extensive grasp of the entire country and its history. He offered great recommendations for the day, helped us learn about options for other days while not ‘selling’ us other things we didn’t want.
