Full Day Capri, Anacapri And Blue Grotto Tour From Sorrento

What a great day! We packed so much in, excellent value, excellent knowledge from our host. Perfect day.

Great full day experience in Capri. We started taking the ferry to the island from the Sorrento port. The blue grotto was open so we then had a shuttle take us there. Expect to get a little wet and maybe have some cash on hand to tip the sailors (small row boats). Then the shuttle took us to Anacapri where we could take the chair lift (additional cost, 15 euro per person round trip - took card). We then took the shuttle back to the heart of Capri where we had about an hour to eat lunch and walk around. I may have preferred more time here and less at Anacapri/the port. Then we finished off in the port of Capri for more shopping before catching the 330p ferry back to Sorrento. Our tour guide was Cynthia who helpfully wore bright colors and gave us a lot of information about the island. However it was sometimes difficult to keep up with her in the crowds.

Our guide Marcella was excellent. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and genuinely keen to ensure that everyone in the group got the most out of the day. We were fortunate to visit the Blue Grotto, as access is weather-dependent. The tour was very well organised, and we didn’t have to wait long at any of the attractions, thanks partly to it being the end of the season and partly to Marcella’s local knowledge and contacts. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, with everything running smoothly. I would highly recommend this tour, especially with Marcella as the guide!

This tour is worth your time. It’s a beautiful island and our guide Luigi was fun, he made the tour. He gave us great dinner recommendations. Added on a boat tour at the end, if you wanted to do it. If not you could stay and shop more.

It's a little squeeze on the boat and through the opening but once you the color of the watter it's worth it. I was told that this trip does not run every day due to the weather but we were lucky and we're able to see it. I have also heard of long lines here but I only waited 20 minutes.

Marciella was the ABSOLUTE BEST!! We had a great day and enjoyed Capri/Ana Capri to the fullest!! She was so informative and had a great energy and truly made sure we had the best experience! 10/10 would recommend!

This was a great experience. Marcella was an amazing guide with 20 years experience and more importantly connections where you need them. We were able to see Blue Grotto with short wait due to her expertise. She was relaxed and pleasant but beyond efficient. Note you go with her on ferry with masses but boat tour to Blue Grotto private with 20. Unable to do chair lift due to crowds so it’s an option not guaranteed. All that being said … well worth it to do.

Fun day exploring the island of Capri. Stephanie was helpful and knowledgeable. It was quite crowded therefore we spent a lot of time on the bus or standing in line. The blue grotto was worth the wait.

Fabulous day with Cynthia as our guide. The tour started early but that meant no long time at the Blue Grotto. Sufficient time at Capri and Anacapri to explore at your own pace. Do yourself a favour and take the optional boat ride around the island. It's 25euros pp cash but well worth it as it was the perfect way to end the day. Grazie!

The Blue Grotto was underwhelming. Much ado about not much. Long lines and wait times for a 5 minute row in a pitch black cave with blue water

Capri and Anacapri were fantastic! Do the chairlift! It was fun and great views! We did not get to go inside the Blue Grotto. In fact I learned only between 80-100 days and year on average do you get to go in to the grotto due to high tide. It was disappointing. However we toured around the island that that beautiful! Our tour guide Marcella was wonderful and made the experience worth it

The excursion was very organized! Our guide, Iris was fabulous! She told us everything to expect and took such great care of each tourist! Highly recommend her! Great trip!

Luigi was the best ! Great day ! Blu Gratto was amazing . We celebrated our 40 wedding anniversary and the trip was the day we were married 40 years ago . We could not asked for a better experience . From the time we left the dock until we got back 8 hours later we had an experience of a life time . The trip was so well executed . Luigi called the group his “ family “ and that’s how the day felt . He made us feel like family and even was able to get us a private boat trip around the island . It was and additional 25 Euro but was amazing . We had a special lunch at the Capri Roof Top Bar overlooking the Marina Piccolo . The view was incredible . My wife and I loved the trip to Capri. A must do if visiting Sorrento . Truly amazing !

Wonderful trip with an amazing guide. One of the last to be able to go in Blue Grotto before it was closed. Got soaked through but well worth it. Luigi our guide from Cioffi Tours was fun and very informative and had a plan B and plan C. Would well recommend this trip. Totally worth the money.

It was confusing as to exactly where we were to meet our guide. We did a lot more walking in the beginning to find our group than was necessary. However, once we caught up to everyone, it well organized. We thought Marchella, our guide, was terrific. Her personality and energy were infectious. My wife and I were probably the oldest in the group and Marchella was always checking to see if we were okay and if the pace was comfortable. From a challenging start to a very enjoyable experience overall.

Although the organised trip may seam a little expensive, it was deferentially the best option for a tour of the island of Capri. Luigi our tour guide was just brilliant, he was in constant communication with the other tour guides making sure we were at the next location at the right time to miss the long queues! Timing was the key, with Luigi's knowledge and experience and with his great sense of humour, he got us around each of the point on the tour making it very interesting. We all opted for the additional private boat tour which was just perfect. With the large number people visiting the island of Capri I would strongly recommend this or any guided tour.

This was a highlight of or European trip and couldn't recommend it any higher, but we were told this was luck with the tide and timing with the crowd, so whilst we are so happy we would have been very disappointed if we paid for the experience and didn't get it

At first I thought this tour started too early in the morning, but it turned out that an early start was what made our visit to the Blue Grotto possible. It closed for the day soon after we finished there due to changing wave conditions. So, thanks to our guide Marcella's tenacity we were able to see this spectacular and magical place! She also made sure that we had plenty of time to take the chairlift to the top of Mount Solaro. Incredible views! And take a boat trip around the island. And enjoy a meal at a wonderful family operated restaurant that is a favorite with locals. And walk around the fashionable streets of Capri. This day was one of my favorite days on our three week vacation. Thank you, Marcella!

Marcella was a great and personable guide. She was very informative. It was a wonderful way to get to Capri and navigate where we wanted to go.

The blue grotto is not always a sure thing. It depends on the sea conditions. With that said, our guide, Francesca, was amazing and thanks to her, we made it in.

Our trip from Sorrento to Capri and Anacapri** was absolutely amazing 🇮🇹💙 Our first stop was the famous **Blue Grotto**—and YES, it was open ! 🙌 We learned that conditions only allow it to open about **80 days a year**, so we felt incredibly lucky It was truly a bucket list experience! Our TikTok famous tour guide, **Marcella**, was fabulous. From the minute we met her, she made us feel like family and kept us laughing and having fun the entire day ❤️ **Anacapri** was beautiful! We loved wandering through the shops, discovering the local crafts and perfumes, and of course taking the **chairlift to Monte Solaro**—so much fun and an absolute MUST!🚠☀️ If you’re staying in Sorrento, Capri and Anacapri are a must see, and I hope you’re lucky enough to get **Marcella** as your guide! 🇮🇹💙 10/10 unforgettable day

Luigi was excellent. Very nice, very funny, very knowledgeable. We were able to go to the Blue Grotto, have a look around Capri and Anacapri (incredible views from the top of the chairlift!) and then we even had time to pay for an additional boat tour around the island. An amazing day and one of our top moments from our time in Sorrento!

Where to start!?! What an amazing day - we booked this trip as part of our 10th wedding anniversary celebrations in Sorrento. Marcella, our guide, met us promptly at the port and made sure we had everything we needed for our day. She directed us to the ferry, made sure we were adequately informed of how the day would run and directed us on our arrival in Capri. She organised our day perfectly meaning we got to go on the cable car as well as into the blue grotto. She also recommended a great restaurant for lunch. All the drivers were great and I don’t think I would ever organise a trip like this myself instead using Viator.

Luigi was an amazing guide. Well worth the money. He gave us history and tips along the way that we would not have had intel with without him.

Our guide Luigi was great. He was very informative. He got us on an earlier ferry to try ro be first at the blue grotto. Unfortunately, blue grotto wasn't open when we arrived (too choppy) so we headed right to Anacapri for the chairlift, which was amazing. We got over to the blue grotto afterwards and the line was over 2 hours long in full hot sun. Our guide said the other option if we couldn't get into the blue grotto was a boat tour around the island. Blue Grotto was a painful experience. The amount of time we spent standing in full sun was soooo not worth the 5 minute experience going into the blue grotto. I was very underwhelmed by the blue grotto. Perhaps its because I've seen similar things in other countries, but in my opinion it was not at all worth the wait. I really wish we had been given the option to take a boat tour or wait in line. It then impacted our time in Capri. We left Anacapri in a rushed manner inorder to get to the blue grotto-no real free time to do anything (just road chairlift and hurried out) and then our free time in Capri was limited due to the long wait at the grotto. Overall it was a good overview of the island. I was really hoping to try a restaurant that was near the marina, yet we did not get to even spend time near the marina, so that was a bummer.

10/10 experience. Highly recommend this crew. They were flexible with group requests. If you have the option to ask for Luigi, do it. The best guide.

Listen to what his customer wanted, very knowledgeable and friendly. Pointed to us all the attractions. Guide Frabrizio always there to help us and guide us.

This trip was excellent. Capri was manic and this trip made it relaxing. Marcella was an amazing tour guide and she insured everything ran smoothly and was really informative. Highlight was the chairlift (not to be missed)

Our trip started off with a larger group but then split up into two separate groups. One group took a boat to the blue grotto and got right in. Our group had to take a bus then had to wait in a very long line in the hot sun. There is barely any shade there. The guy we had on the row boat was not very friendly. We also ended up soaked. We did not have a great experience. After that our guide did help us to skip some of the line at the chairlift. The ride and views were amazing. We had to pay for this out of pocket on top of the price of the tour. $16pp The best part of the trip was the boat ride that we also had to pay extra for at the end. This tour was probably the most expensive tour we did our whole trip and I don’t think it was worth it. Save money and take a ferry yourself to Capri. There are cool convertible taxis you can rent to easily get to the locations you want to visit. Definitely book a boat ride around the island though! The tour was not worth it.

Cristina was excellent—she provided outstanding customer service with a genuine smile. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the island, as well as helpful and friendly throughout our experience. The following day, we happened to see Cristina again in Sorrento Square. She recognized us right away and came over to say hello, which truly meant a lot. We were all so excited to see her again—it made our trip even more memorable.

The tour guide Luigi made our experience very enjoyable. He prioritized a plan so we would be able to visit all places with ease. Kudos to him for his efforts and ability to navigate our agenda during a busy tourist season.

What an incredible day in Capri with our amazing tour guide, Georgio! He was able to get us into the Grotto very early so that we had more time around Capri. We highly recommend Georgio and his crew.

Our thanks to Luigi who introduced us to Capri's wonders. The day was full of activities but at no time did we feel rushed. Luigi managed the group and coordinated all activities and transport so seamlessly and efficiently and we even managed to squeeze in an extra boat tour around the island.

Luigi did a phenomenal job bringing us around Capri. I would recommend doing the early tour to beat the lines. We were able to do the Blue Grotto and the Chairlift with maybe 15 minutes of waiting in lines between the two

Marcella our guide was fabulous. She was bubbly informative and lots of fun. The time in Ana Capri and the boat trip around the island was fantastic but the blue grotto experience was underwhelming. Waited an hour and a half in the sun & was barely in the cave for two minutes before the operators were demanding a tip. If you want to see the blue grotto, choose to see it from a boat experience rather than lining up.

This tour was one of the absolute highlights visiting the Amalfi coast. Marcella, our tour guide was absolutely fantastic in terms of knowledge, time management and personality. Highly recommended!!

Marcella with Cioffi Tours was absolutely incredible! Because of her promptness and facilitating, we got to see the blue grotto AND did a boat tour on top of time to tour different areas of the island. She gave excellent recommendations for gelato and food and shopping. We had such a lovely time touring Capri and Anacapri thanks to Marcella and the drivers!

Absolutely wonderful! Stephanie was amazing….making sure we didn’t have to wait too long for the Blue Grotto tour, and also arranging a second boat ride tour around the island at the end!!

Leave early to beat the crowds. Hope for a great guide. We had Luigi. Excellent and organised guide with also a good sense of humour. If the blue grotto is not accessible the boat trip around the island is a great plan B and in some respects perhaps even better.

Highly recommend the boat tour around the island and doing the lift. If you do Blue Grotto do it very early otherwise the line gets long.

Our guide was pleasant, but for what it was (ferry to / from the island, bus ride around island, and 3 mins visit to blue grotto), the rest was free time on your own, it was a rip off. Far better to do it all yourself by purchasing tickets at the wharf, and save 50%, and have more control of your time.

Too crowded, hot, bus not air conditioned properly and we were packed like sardines. Do not recommend!!

This was a full and wonderfully eventful day. Our guide, Stefanie was energetic, fun and always concerned about giving us the best possible experience. We quickly entered the Blue Grotto, the chairlift and island boat Tour. We feel our time was both very enjoyable and well spent. We highly recommend.

We really enjoyed this tour to see Capri and Anacapri with our guide Cynthia. She was great about getting us to Anacapri early enough that there were no lines for the chair lift to the summit ( for those who wanted to do it). The rest of us were able to shop and walk about for the morning 2 hrs on our own because she had already shared the information with us on the bus ride there. In Capri we even had time to enjoy a nice relaxing lunch in the shade . Also, Cynthia was very good about bringing the group to the shaded areas when talking. The sun was very intense and other guides we have had, seem completely unaware that their guests are melting .

My first time visiting Italy and my #1 bucket list trip of a lifetime. I planned our trip over a year ago and included this excursion hoping and keeping fingers crossed that I’d get to see the Blue Grotto. It was one of the highlights I most wanted to see. Luigi was our guide for our day…and was AMAZING!!! Luigi planned our day perfectly! We started our day by going to the Blue Grotto and the weather and the tides cooperated…so we were able to get to see this spectacular grotto. It lived up to everything I dreamed of…BEAUTIFUL! I’m so glad we did this first thing, because later in the day they closed the grotto. From there, we headed to Anacapri and went onto the chair lift to the top. The views are breathtaking! Then, onto Capri. Luigi also made our day special by arranging a private boat tour to take us around the island of Capri so we could see the island from the sea. Gorgeous views all around! We could not have had a more perfect day! Thank you Luigi, you made my first time to Capri most memorable! 🩷

We were disappointed the Blue Grotto was closed after she told us it had been open for 15 consecutive days before our visit, but the boat ride around the island was a wonderful substitute.
