We had Follow Frankie as our tour guide and he was simply outstanding! He kept the attention of our entire group with practical and interesting information, as well as humor that had the whole group smiling the entire time. He navigated us through the crowds expertly and took his time to show us all of the highlights. He truly is a wonderful human being who has happened to be doing this for many many years! You could tell he was well liked and possibly a little famous because of how many other tour guides made a point to stop by and say hi to him!

We toured with Frankie, who is an EXCELLENT guide. Super funny and absolutely full of information. He got us into the busiest places first, so we weren’t waiting, and kept us intrigued the entire time. My mind was actual blown by all the things I learned on our tour!

Great experience! We were picked up from our Airbnb in Positano and then driven to Pompeii. I have been on excursions all over Europe and this was one of the best I have ever experienced. Our tour guide, Franky, was entertaining and very knowledgeable. We learned an incredible amount of information about Pompeii and the ancient Romans. After 2 hours in Pompeii we were driven to Mount Vesuvius . The hike to the crater is about 20 minutes - it's a steep climb and make sure to bring water with you. Great views of Naples on top. We were then driven back to Positano. Highky recommended!

We had an amazing experience with Sasa as our guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the history of Pompeii to life while showing us so many hidden gems that we never would have found on our own. The entire trip was seamless from start to finish, and everything was very well organized. We also avoided all of the long lines, which made the experience so much more enjoyable and let us spend our time exploring instead of waiting. I would highly recommend Sasa to anyone visiting Pompeii! The rest of the tour was great, easy transportation and friendly driver.

My husband and I did the Pompeii tour with Mount Vesuvius visit. Our guide Sasa was wonderful! He told the story of Pompeii beautifully and I learned so much. The visit to Mt. Vesuvius was breathtaking. The caveat to these things was the extreme heat in the month of July. I read before I went that it was going to be hot, but I never could’ve imagined this level of heat. I definitely would rethink traveling to Italy in July. Obviously this has nothing to do with the quality of the tour! But just something to consider before going to Pompeii in July.

We had a terrific visit to Pompeii from Positano. Transfers to and from Positano went smoothly, and our guide at Pompeii (Frankie) was fantastic. Very funny, knowledgeable, and with a clear passion for Pompeii. Frankie helped us beat the large groups to the key locations and kept us as cool as possible on what was an incredibly hot day. It was great to see Mount Vesuvius up close, but the steep incline on a very hot day was a challenge. You certainly earn your gelato after that climb!

Angelo did a fantastic job explaining what occurred over the many years at Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii. Visiting the site was a highlight of our vacation. I would highly recommend this tour.

Our trip took a strange turn as we started off in a van with backward seats. The driver was efficient but a bit aggressive. This wasn’t an issue until we started climbing the mountain to maneuver through several turns and stops. There was six of us in the van and just about all of us got pretty bad car motion sickness. Afterwards we were dropped off at Positano and the Driver recommended us a restaurant. We quickly found out this restaurant was double the price of everything around it. We were confused because we thought this was part of the tour where Limoncello tasting was going to be conducted. We also received an hour and twenty minutes to be here as opposed to the two hours that was marketed. My wife and I could not stomach anything after being hit really bad with motion sickness and a headache. After wandering around aimlessly and returning to the van, we made our way to Pompeii. From there things took a strange turn as we finally met our tour guide. They seemed friendly and knowledgeable however, we quickly found out they lacked structure and organization. They did not have a good voice to project or fluent enough in English to explain. They struggled to keep the group together as that did not seem to be their priority. They go on tangents and would hold the group back from seeing Pompei to the fullest. Normally, I feel with a tour guide we get quite the treat with deep information however, this specific booking we felt we were held back from being able to see most of the Pompeii site. At the end of it all we met back up with our driver and asked about the limoncello testing which we found out that apparently was never going to happen because of something to do with timing on their end. This is the first time it was let known to us as our driver stated that the trip was over. We contacted TripAdvisor about this issue and they gave an empty apology and did not seem to want to assist with the inconvenience. Instead they just ask us to leave a review so here is the review. We most likely aren’t going to receive any type of refund for this sadly.

We had a great experience visiting Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius. Our tour guide at Pompeii, Francesca, was an archeologist and very knowledgable. She was able to direct us to the most important locations and was able to answer every question. The drivers were very responsible and safe and the van was comfortable. My only caveat is that if you do not register for the lunch tour, be sure to bring lunch and everyone should bring water.

What a great tour! I’m so happy we booked it. The transfer to and from Positano was so easy and comfortable. Our guide Sasa at Pompeii was fantastic and our ride to Mt Vesuvius was well orchestrated. The walk up to the top is steep but was worth it. I was so impressed with how the tour was organized. Everything went like clockwork. Visiting in March was lovely.

Hopefully you are lucky enough to have Frankie as your guide in Pompeii. It is helpful that they offer round trip transportation directly to and from your hotel and between Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii Ruins. They handle all ticketing making it seamless for you. The only drawback is that we did not expect our shuttle to have a detour through another town on the way back so expect that the drive back might include an extra stop which added about an hour to the drive. (For reference, we were staying in Positano but the return shuttle had a stop in Sorrento).

Sassa our tour guide at Pompeii was wonderful. He went out of his way to get to know our group and share his wealth of knowledge with us. Our drivers were prompt and extremely well organized. Car was huge with great AC which is important after a hot day walking among the ruins. We want to thank our driver for waiting for us in the morning pick up after we got the pick up time wrong. They called us and waited. THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

The trip was amazing and was a great way to see Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii in one day from Positano. Our guide at Pompeii, Frankie, was incredible. His knowledge of Pompeii was deep and he was hilarious, cracking jokes the whole time. The transportation and van transfers to pick us up in Positano and then get us to all the sites and back worked very well and was all done is well air-conditioned vans. Highly recommend the trip!

Paolo our driver was very friendly and timely. My. Vesuvius was fun to hike up and we had a beautiful clear day to enjoy the view. We made it to the crater in 25 minutes. Frankie our guide in Pompeii was wonderful and engaging. He focused on showing our group the “main” attractions given it was only a 2 hour tour. I would recommend this tour.

We had an incredible time! Frankie was our tour guide and he was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and made sure we didn’t overheat during our visit (it was about 90 when we came). This was quite the experience! We were picked up at our hotel and made the trek down the mountain. Our driver was amazing, traffic was horrible and he did a fabulous job navigating it. We met Sasa our guide at Pompeii - his knowledge, humor, and intelligence was awe inspiring as he guided us through the history of the ruins. We loved every minute. For those who have not been to Positano keep in mind that this is an all day experience in tough traffic. Then add the volcano to the experience with more very curvy driving, was pretty exhausting. We would have been happy to not add the volcano and just do Pompeii - but glad we can say we have been to both. If you get car sick or are afraid of heights make sure and research this journey.

The transfer from our villa in Positano was on time and Giovanni was a very good driver to and from Pompeii. When we got to Pompeii we were introduced to our guide, Frankie, who was waiting for us. We were very lucky because we had an upgrade to a private tour with just the two of us. Frankie was an excellent guide. He really brought Pompeii to life and explained the history in a way that helped us to imagine what life was like for the people living there, and the dreadful events that happened in 79 AD. We found it fascinating and Frankie was able to answer all our questions about anything we asked him. My husband was very interested in the water supply, pipes and plumbing, and Frankie had all the answers. Our tour was somewhat over two hours and it was fascinating, from the fast food shops, to the baths, to the grand villas, the Cave canem tiles and the forum and well preserved streets. I Lt was an amazing experience. Seeing the plaster casts of three of the bodies at the end of the tour was a moving reminder of the horror the people of Pompeii experienced. Many thanks to Frankie for being such an enthusiastic, knowledgeable guide and making our visit so enjoyable. We would give it a full ten out of ten. Grace and Andrew Shipsides, North Wales

Frankie was amazing, knowledgeable and shared a unique perspective of Pompeii. Our driver in Emmanuel went the extra mile by stopping at a quick little spots for pictures.

The trip was great from pick up to drop off. We received a call the evening before to say that Mount Vesuvius had been closed due to a landslide which was a little disappointing but obviously completely outside of the tour guides control and were advised we would receive a partial refund, which was a good outcome. The tour of Pompeii itself was incredible. Our tour guide (Sasa) was very knowledgeable and thorough with the detail and brought a sense of humour were appropriate and was sincere when showing the preserved bodies. He answered any questions that we had and was open to tailoring the experience for our small group. I would 100% recommend this tour again as well as Sasa.

Great tour of Pompeii. About two hours with a lot of historical context. Sassa was fantastic. Vesuvius was also really cool. The van got us 90% of the way there and only had a 25 min hike before we could look down into the valcano. Wrapped it up with ‘lunch’ and a wine tasting. Great day all the way around.

Visiting Pompeii and Mt. Vesuvius was like taking a trip back in time. Our guide Frankie was incredible. He brought us to the most interesting sites within Pompeii and kept us engaged through the tour. We would have missed out on a ton if we hadn’t done the tour. Transport was also easy, and Giovanni was a great driver.

Pompeii was amazing and 5 star. Frankie is a great guide! But Mt Vesuvius was a bit of a mess. Drop off by driver that didn’t speak English and no instruction beyond a piece of paper that said the time we should be back. The older couple also with us didn’t make it until 20min later and we stood around with no clue what was happening. They don’t really give enough time to make it up and back if you need to rest at any point.

The tour of Pompeii was an awe-inspiring journey through time. Exploring the remarkably preserved ruins, you marveled at the ancient streets, homes, and public buildings, frozen in time by the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Walking through the Forum, amphitheater, and vibrant frescoes, you could almost feel the pulse of life from two millennia ago. The haunting casts of the volcano’s victims added a poignant reminder of the fragility of life, while the grandeur of the city spoke of the power and sophistication of ancient Rome. Francesco was an excellent guide. We are happy we had him as he was historically informative and very interesting. Some of the guides we saw were droning on and looked very boring and didn't seem all that enthusiastic. Francesco was full of interesting facts and was very patient with the group. I'd highly recommend him.

The trip was amazingly planned out, everything ran to time and we were kept informed throughout by Giovanni our driver who was lovely. Our tour guide Sasa was amazing, really engaging and gave an interesting tour of Pompeii. Would highly recommend this trip if you are looking to see Pompeii and Vesuvius in a stress free way!

Pompeii was most interesting and our guide was excellent! Vesuvius area was too crowded and very poor facilities like bathrooms etc.

Our tour guide in Pompeii was fantastic and very knowledgeable. The drive from Pompeii to Vesuvius was backed up with lots of cars and took a long time. There are only port-a potties at Vesuvius that are gross so go to the bathroom in Pompeii before you leave. You get about an hour to hike Vesuvius which is enough time but it’s very steep and strenuous so really does take the whole hour to go up and down. If I were to do this tour again I would pick Pompeii or Vesuvius but I would not do both in the same day. It’s a long day and a long drive to and from Positano. Also make sure you bring cash.

Thoroughly enjoyed the tour and Franky was such a brilliant guide! He ensured the children were kept interested as well as keeping us away from the crowds as much as possible. Highly recommend!
