Capri Small Group Tour With Blue Grotto From Naples Or Sorrento

Our tour guide Theresa was incredible. Very knowledgeable about the history of the island. We had plenty of free time to shop, eat, etc. She also gave us great recommendations. And best of all, she had a fantastic personality, had us laughing a lot. I can't think of a better tour guide!

Serena was fantastic! She went above and beyond by sending the meeting point details to everyone a day in advance—something I haven’t experienced on any other guided tour. Finding her at the meeting spot was easy, and from there she guided us seamlessly throughout the trip. Her explanations were clear and engaging, and she kept the group entertained the entire time. Serena also knew handy shortcuts and helped us skip long queues at attractions, making the experience even more enjoyable.

Our guide was Tiziana and she was great the whole tour was an amazing experience and very straight forward with pick up and drop off. Tiziana was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of time to explore. It was a highlight of our trip in Italy

Our tour was with Terri, she was amazing and her local knowledge was appreciated. Each stop enabled us to walk and explore amazing places and sights. The Blue Grotto was magnificent and we were so grateful that it was open for our tour day.

Iris was fabulous. We all loved her and the tour. She was able to get us through the blue grotto and the chairlift topping off the day with a fantastic lunch. Her personality and knowledge was unbeatable. We give her the best rating.

Didn’t get into blue grotto due to rough seas. Had a tour around the island very good. Theresa tour guide very good. Too many ships in port at same time hence too many people in small area.

Amazing experience with this tour. Capri is beautiful regardless but the tour was planned exceptionally well and led by Alberto phenomenally! Besides Alberto’s good humor and knowledge of the island, 2 things stood out vs other tours I did: 1. Our ferry plans changed a bit and we were running late but Alberto accommodated us and didn’t make us feel rushed (note: buffer more time for all Sorrento to Capri ferries vs 20-30 min) 2. We saw Blue Grotto but didn’t have to wait on boats before the small kayaks (great for my seasick prone fiancee). Instead we waited on land with access to a restaurant and bathroom. Amazing tour - highly recommend. Would love to come back and see more of the island! Thanks Alberto!

Our guide Serena was incredible! Not only did she understand the best ways to see Capri , Anacapri, and the Blue Grotto, but she also asked us early on what things interested us so we didn’t waste time with other things. She also went above and beyond and did things like: help us find a better location for our luggage drop than what we had reserved which allowed us more time to explore. All transportation was ready for us and so easy. After our tour, she even walked us to the metro, helped us buy the tickets, and led us to the platform to make sure we made it to the train station. I mean, who continues to serve to that level AFTER they’ve been paid?! She really was the VERY BEST tour guide we have EVER had! Thank you Serena!

The blue grotto was amazing. Our sail man sang and took his time. To see how they do it (the system) is just as interesting. Capri and Anna Capri are beautiful! We took the chair lift and the views were breathtaking. Our tour guide Alberto even sang on our tour bus (he was excellent) we walked along the shops and then went swimming on the free beach. Water was beautiful and refreshing. I would strongly recommend this tour to this beautiful place.

Our tour guide Giorgio was wonderful. A native to Capri he was knowledgeable and interesting. We learned the history of the island and it’s people. We were lucky enough to tour the Blue grotto which was a beautiful and moving experience. Went to the top of the island on the chairlift and got the most beautiful pictures of the island and the Sea of Naples. We definitely recommend this tour when coming to Capri.

My favorite part of this trip had to be the Capri tour. Views were amazing, the blue grotto did not disappoint, and couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide. Luigi did an amazing job with making the day go smoothly and really made the group feel like family. Our trip was amazing! Everything worked out perfectly, really no wait for the Blue Grotto, the lift to the top of Anacapri , lunch, sight-seeing and even had time to sail around the island to see some beautiful sights!

We loved this tour! It was our favorite while in Italy. Serena did a fantastic job of explaining things and making sure we didn’t have to wait when we did things. She made sure to get us to the Blue Grotto first thing in he morning so we didn’t have to wait long. It was so nice to have a private tour guide so things could be tailored to what we wanted to see more. The chairlift had amazing views and the gardens were beautiful. Alessandro was very friendly and super smart about how she did everything. She managed to get us to the Blue Grotto first thing before the crowds so we didn't have a long wait. This allowed us to spend more time on the island seeing everything else.

The advertised timing was not correct. The tour was going to be 9.5 hrs and not 8 hrs as the description said. Because of this, we had to leave early to get back to our cruise ship and we had to miss the boat tour of the island. We were very disappointed.

Giorgio was a fantastic guide. The Blue Grotto was quite the experience although getting out of the boat was fun. Anu Capri was great and the viewpoint of the Momma Mia road was excellent. Capri town to hot and crowded but the alternative boat ride was great

Giorgio did a wonderful job of explaining the culture and the sights of the island. He was so helpful with the ferry tickets from Sorrento as well. We absolutely loved the visit to the Blue Grotto as well as the optional boat tour. Our visit to Capri was a highlight of our trip to Italy.

Buyer beware. Save your money for another tour company. Blue Grotto closed with absolutely no heads-up before boarding the ferry. No shops open, which is something we were told once we arrived on the island. One restaurant open. Again, something we were told AFTER arrival. Horrible experience. And no warning in the description when we booked about any of this. You are given a pass to ride the ferry to/from Capri, but then, once you get to Capri, the shops are closed for the season. There is no escorted tour. One restaurant is open for the whole island. To fill the time, you can take a chairlift to the top of the mountain, unescorted, to take a few photographs of the surroundings. The tour company promises funicular tickets and Blue Grotto admission tickets will be included, but they deceive you. These few activities can be done on your own. No need to pay hundreds of dollars for an unimpressive nonevent. Such a ripoff. Tripadvisor, where has the interest gone in making sure your vendors are providing your loyal customers what they are promising?

We loved this tour of Capri - having a guide to show us the most beautiful parts of Capri and Anacapri was special. Even though it was cloudy and a little wet early , the day was excellent. The boat trip around the island in the sun was awesome - even though we could not visit the Blue Grotto due to the high seas.

The small boat tour of the Sorrento Coast, Capri & the Blue Grotto was absolutely amazing! An absolutely perfect day! Our guide Luisa and our captain Francesco were fantastic. This trip was simply amazing in every way. 8 people max, very nice boat, great skipper (Francesco) and guide (Luisa), took us everywhere on the water, got us to the Blue Grotto so quickly that we didn't have to wait, when just 10-15 minutes later, groups had to wait over an hour to enter the Blue Grotto. That gave us an extra hour to spend in Anacapri and Capri, and Luisa recommended what we should do there. Snacks and drinks added to the great trip ambiance, and even lunch for us to take to Anacapri. I can't say enough about this full-day tour!

My friends and I only had one day to go to Capri so we wanted to make the most of our time there. We considered just going on our own and I read many self guided itineraries that looked pretty good. I am so glad though that we ultimately decided to go on this tour. From my first time emailing them, they were so helpful and patient and answered all of my questions. The tour included all of the entrance fees so we didn’t have to worry about anything other than showing up on time at the ferry station. They are very flexible and because it’s a private tour, you can pick what you want to see. They were also very honest as they recommended we take a taxi to the ferry station because it’s cheaper than if they arranged a car for us. Our guide Michele was fantastic, one of the best guides I’ve ever had. He was punctual and super organized. He also had excellent time management so he was able to lead us to all the sites and still give us plenty of time to explore. He was able to check everything by calling people so arranged for us to get to the Blue Grotto right on time. We were so lucky it had just opened for the season. If we had gone on our own, we would’ve just sat there and waited all morning to see if the Blue Grotto was open, thereby missing out on some sites. He also knew all of the best spots and he timed everything according to the sun and shade so we would have the best views and photos. I also really appreciated how he was always present but still gave us time to ourselves too. He also presents you with choices so you can decide what you want to see. We were able to see the entire island. The restaurant he recommended for lunch was fantastic too. In summary, yes, you can save some money by going on your own or booking a cheaper tour, but I highly recommend this tour if you want to see all the best of the island in a short and super organized way. For us, it was absolutely worth it.

My husband and I had never been to Capri before, and arranged a private all day tour with Tours of Sorrento. What a great decision! The arrangements were easy to make ahead of time, via e-mail. And when our planned day looked like a terrible weather day, Tours of Sorrento kindly switched our tour to another day with a better forecast. They offered us a private car transfer from our apartment to the port in Sorrento, which we were happy to pay for since our tour started early on the day following our arrival from the US (we were jetlagged and disoriented). Michele was our guide, and he accompanied us throughout the entire day. He was friendly, warm, and extremely knowledgeable about Capri. The company has arranged a very thoughtful, varied day packed with different activities that are perfect for the first time visitor to Capri. We took a convertible, toured the Blue Grotto via rowboat, rode a chairlift, and took a funicular. Michele showed us incredible views, upscale shopping spots, and lovely gardens - and was more than happy to take our picture on several occasions. We had time for shopping and wandering, and somehow managed to have a relaxing day while still seeing quite a bit. In summary, we could not have been more pleased with our experience.
