It was a great day. I've had mixed reviews from friends about the Isle of Capri so I didn't know what to expect. I should imagine if you're like me and aren't into shopping very much (especially high-end brands) and just caught the ferry there, it may not be a great day. However, doing the while tour, including the boat trip around the island (due to the Blue Grotto being closed), it was a great day. Marchella was a great tour guide and very easy to understand and friendly. Had a lovely lunch and a very enjoyable day. Great pics from the top of the chair lift. I would recommend it to others.

It’s a great tour, non stop it was the best day of our trip. Luigi was the tour guy and made us feel like family, so much fun.
Had a wonderful tour of Capri a lot of information unfortunately the blue grotto was closed so we had a boat ride around the island which was a great alternative.. our only suggestion would be that they give better directions for where to meet the guy. We got to the ferry terminal area, which is a very large location. Our guide communicated with us via WhatsApp in order to find us.
The early morning tour reduces the stress of lineups for the blue grotto and other activities. Anacapri was not as busy with tourists as Capriamd was a better experience for us
Michael was awesome! Smart and showed his passion for the tourists and country! He is the third generation to be a tour guide! We hit all of the main spots and he was very attentive! Loved him! Thakuou!
We were a small group and left early to get a jump on the crowds! We were blessed with a blue grotto moment first thing in the morning and had a 3 minute wait on the stairs to jump into the rowboat. We hustled back up to Anacapri to float onto the chairlift and had just a 15 minute wait there. Luigi kept us on a loose schedule that gave us plenty of time to explore and ended with an extra boat tour around the island to check out a few nooks and crannies. It was a perfect day! Not having to worry about, or stand in line for the public ferry and beating the crowd was fantastic!
The tour guide was exceptional and the day was great! I had never done a tour like this and was unsure but all was excellent.
Luigi…wonderful guide for the day, informative and highly organized taking us around Capri. 👍👍👍👍
Great tour! Saw everything included in the itinerary including the blue grotto which was luckily open that day. It was a very efficient tour and no minute was wasted. The bus transportation on Capri was crucial, it saved us so much time and cash we would have spent on taxis. This tour was a highlight on my vacation. Luigi was the best tour guide, very positive and hilarious which made the tour even better.
The tour was wonderful. Unfortunately we weren't able to go into the blue grotto. This was the reason we booked the trip. We did enjoy the tour and our time in Capri!
Michele is the best guide! he ensured that we had fast track assess to chair lift when there was a long queue and the private boat tour was the best!
Tiziana was a great tour guide today on our tour of Capri. She did a great job. The tour itself honestly is over priced for what you get. It was $426 for two people for a tour that was only 3-4 hours. We had to wait two hours in line for the blue grotto. It was spectacular but overly crowded. Not sure the value is there for what you get.
Great place. Blue Grotto is amazing. The island is beautiful. Our guide for the day was great and knowledgeable.
Georgia too us to all the sights, was great for recommendation's, and just a real joy to have around.
Wasted a lot of time (around 2 hrs) to get in the grotto which was due to boat tourists also jumping in from the water side to enter. This delay left us with barely enough time to check out anything else in Capri since it was a timed trip requiring us to be back at the port by 4. Host was nice but the plan could’ve been better.
Fun day with Luigi he is the best. Even though the weather did not permit us to enter the blue grotto we had an amazing day and was able to see all Capri has to offer!
The guide was very good very communicating but unfortunately blue groto was closed as water level was High so we could not see it but they compensated by arranging tour of entire capri island.
My daughter and I had an unforgettable day trip to Capri and Anacapri, thanks to the impeccable organization of Cioffi Tours and our fantastic guide, Michele. Michele was knowledgeable, engaging, and spoke excellent English. He struck the perfect balance between informative commentary and giving us the freedom to explore at our own pace. The beauty of the region, paired with his guidance, made for a phenomenal experience. While the Blue Grotto was touted as the highlight of the tour, we were disappointed to find it inaccessible. Sadly, what many travelers don’t realize because it’s rarely disclosed is that there’s only about a 1% chance of actually entering the grotto due to unpredictable sea conditions. Luckily, Plan B: A boat tour around the island was a worthwhile alternative. The views from the water were stunning and added a magical touch to the day. If you're booking with hopes of seeing the grotto, set realistic expectations. But if you're going to soak in the charm, culture, and landscape of Capri and Anacapri, this trip delivers in spades.
It was OK, not better than that. The group leader wasn't really into dealing with us.. meaning it really felt like she had a script memorized and she was super tired, instead of interacting with us. She had tons of friends in the island and you could see her attitude perk up. We also didn't get a chance to see the blue grotto itself. This is the second time that I've taken this exact tour and it was canceled both times due to weather and rough seas. I'm from Hawaii, and it's like to think I know what rough seas look like...and honestly, when we took a boat ride around the island (her plan 'B') the seas weren't anything out of te ordinary. I started to have the feeling the trip is a little 'bait and switch'. I was thinking that with a good 20 people in the trip, too lead that many people through the Blue Grotto would be too difficult. So i don't think they (the leader) ever had the intention to go there. That being said, it'd be better if they just change the title to be Capri and Anacapri, and a boat ride around the island, instead of leading people to believe that there's a chance to go to the Blue Grotto. We did have a good independent time on the island on our free time.
Beautiful, clean , great views , good food. Lemons everywhere! Sky chair was peaceful and safe. Loved walking through the village shops
Our guide, Titziana, was great. She made sure to keep us on track which kept us ahead of other tour groups and made the waiting times much easier. We were able to get into the Blue Grotto in a fairly short time. She suggested we ride the chair lift to the top of Anacapri. What a thrill. If you make it to the top, make sure you try the lemon dessert! She also arranged an additional boat ride around the island. My grandson left his phone on the ferry when we got back to Naples and had to run back onto the boat. Titziana stayed with us to make sure we all made it back. Truly above and beyond service. Great trip!
Your was a great length of time and the guide was very good. We got a chance to see the Blue Grotto and flexibility in what we wanted to do on the island.
Our ship was scheduled to arrive in Naples at 8:00 a.m.; disembarkation was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. I originally scheduled the tour with this arrival time. The guide thought we were arriving at 7 a.m. After informing the guide about the correct time, she texted that we were "scheduled to depart on the 8:35 AM ferry and cannot be rescheduled." I informed Viator and made other plans. Viator returned 1/2 of our money. We should be refunded the entire amount as it was the guide/ tour company that changed the plans.
Marcella was a fabulous host. Great day out to the Blue Grotto , Anacapri, Capri and a boat trip after
This tour was a good time. You take a local ferry to Capri at which point you get in mini buses and are taken to anti-capri and the blue grotto. Our tour group didn’t have enough time so we didn’t go to capri town and instead spent some time in the marina. This tour is fun and you get to see as much or as little as you want just be prepared to wait around some.
Besides the lift to the highest pointer to soak up the breathtaking 360 degree view of the island, the private tour around the island is the best although we paid extra 25 euro for it. We got the chance to see The green grotto and the smaller blue grotto then the one covered in the original plan which was not as impressive as expected. But, overall, this experience was fantastic.
The entire experience was well planned and very enjoyable. Our tour guide, Tiziana was amazing and she really made the trip exceptional. Her infectious spirit and great attitude plus her knowledge of Capri was to our benefit and made this trip, especially the blue grotto, my favorite part of our Italy trip. Also, our meeting place was changed because of construction and we were well informed on where to find the new meeting place by email. I would highly recommend this tour.
I did this your with my son and we had a great time. Michele was our tour guide and he was great, knowledgeable and funny. You'll have plenty of time to walk around at your pace in Capri town and Anacapri town. Make sure to take take the funicular up to the top and be dazzled by some of the best views in all of italy.
We got lucky and were able to go in the grotto, keep that in mind, it doesn't always happen as conditions need to be right. Inside the grotto there were other boats circling and one of the boat leads was singing. The effect was beautiful glowing blue water. The whole experience lasted about 10 mins. once in the boat. Later, Luigi our guide, took us to Anacapri and then the main area of Capri to explore. We were transported everywhere by bus. Luigi took time to explain each area and gave us a brief walking tour to get us acclimated before releasing us on our own. We went to the Gardens of Augustus (extra cost) which had beautiful views.
We mainly booked this trip to go into the blue grotto, unfortunately the weather was not ideal and we were unable to go into it. An expensive trip for a bus and boat ride.
Day trip to Capri and Anacapri. Tour guide travels with you and is very knowledgeable. There is time in both areas of the island to see the main highlights. Take change for toilet visits. Shuttle buses well used to drive you around as is very busy.
The experience was wonderful, our guide Michelle was really kind and helpful, also very knoledgeble about the life, culture and dynamics on the island. He answered all our questions- about history, way of life on the island.
Four adults travelling. Our guide was very welcoming and helpful throughout the trip. We travelled towards the end of October so we were very lucky not to have to wait on line for all of the attractions. The island was beautiful and well worth visiting. We got to visit the Blue Grotto, without queues, so were very fortunate to have that extra time. The chair lift to Montesolaro was the highlight for me, views fantastic. Ana-Capri was lovely and was the location for shopping & lunch. Capri itself- full of designer shops and expensive so I personally would have preferred to have that time at the port instead. Our guide went above and beyond, given that we had extra time that we saved on queueing and offered us the option to add in an island boat ride. This just topped off the day wonderfully. We were delighted to fit in so much in a day and are very grateful for the thoughtful guide, Serena, who gave us good direction and went to the trouble to add in the boat ride for our group.
We were unable to visit the Blue Grotto due to sea conditions, a great disappointment. A boat ride around the island was the substitute experience but was not very interesting. The boat captain provided commentary but it was very hard to hear over the engine noise. Our guide took us up the chair lift (at additional cost), which was enjoyable and scenic. In the end there was not enough to see on Capri to warrant the cost of the tour especially without the Grotto. However in high season when the sea conditions are ideal there can be a very long wait getting into the Grotto, so buyer beware. All factors considered we wouldn’t have booked this tour.
Tiziana was FAN-tastic! Astounding how much information she imparted to us. We were fortunate with the blue grotto cave tour in that there was absolutely no line and we actually got to go inside. Because there was extra time she knew enough to charter a private boat for all of us and we could see all of the other grottos. So cool, and so much! You should do everything you can to retain her! Easy to see how much she loves her islands and her job!
We loved the blue grotto it was magical,we were also able to take a boat ride around the island that was amazing beautiful , our tour guide was amazing ( Tiizianna) she was very knowledgeable and had us ahead of the big tour groups so no waiting in line
This is one of our most memorable tours while we were in Italy. The whole day was filled with beauty and fun and laughs and time went by very quickly. Our guide Luigi was awesome, and he was able to get us in front of the lines and knew just when to show up to different places so we did not have to wait. I highly recommend this tour.
One of the very best days we spent in Italy. Capri and Anacapri are both on the same island but different in elevation and the vibe. Either one would be worth the boat ride to the island but to do both on the same day was incredible. Our guide was amazing and was very honest with us that we might not be able to get into the Blue Grotto due to rough water conditions. But, he also told us he had a plan B - a boat tour around the whole island. At first we were disapointed to miss the Grotto but 5 minutes into the boat tour around the whole island to see all of the coast and caves made us think Plan B was the way to go. The island is just drop dead gorgeous in the towns (make sure to do the chair lift to the top!) and from the sea. Don't miss this one
Loved our guide Giorgio, who is a native to the island. Very caring to the needs of all in the group.
Capri Island is stunningly beautiful. We arrived there from Naples in jet ferry with Tiziana, our excellent guide. The vistas from all of our stops were breathtaking!
Thought this was a Fantastic Tour of Capri. We could not make Blue Grotto due to sea conditions but still had an unbelievable day with Marcella our guide.
The Blue Grotto was amazing. I have to thank the guide who did her best to organize everything in situations quite difficult to manage.
This was a full day of great experiences. Because of high seas we didn’t get to go into the Blue Grotto and the ferry ride over was not for the faint of heart or those who get sea sick. We were able visit Anacapri and do a chair to the top of the mountain. It was so high it made my palms sweat but was worth it! Because we didn’t get to do the Grotto we got to do a boat ride around the island. Was great until we were drenched by a wave. Really a fun day with lots of adventures.
Unfortunately the blue grotto is was not possible. We didn’t know the access to it was via a one/two person canoe in which you must lay down to enter; thus, choppy waters means you can’t enter. Instead we took a boat ride around Capri. Good experience nonet-he-less
Beginning with the thrill of the Blue Grotto, the beauty of the Faraglioni rocks and ending with shopping in the village of Capri resulted in an impressive tour.
The boat ride through the Grotto was great. The leader was very organized Ana Capri was beautiful Capri was very crowded Wish I had more time in Ana Capri
Stunning trip ,not to be missed even though it was high tide and couldn’t go in blue grotto the alternative boat trip around the island was brilliant
This tour was just okay. It is expensive for what you could coordinate yourself. We were looking forward to the blue grotto which apparently is only open about 30% of the year (yet the sell tours for every day knowing it likely won't open). This wasn't really a tour as much as them just coordinating travel which you can do yourself for about $50 each. The boat tour substitute wasn't just your group so you listen to the tour in multiple languages. My suggestion is save the money and do this day yourself for $60 each.
Boat ride to view rocky shore hills. I was not impressed as I have visited more than 50 countries and seen so much.
Our guide Alberto made the day memorable for us as he was very helpful in his recommendations and organisation also his wonderful singing. We were fortunate enough to be able to enter the cave which was such an experience. And as an extra he offered those who did t want to shop a private boat trip around the island which was also really good. The view at the top of the chair lift was lovely also.
