Great teacher and fun to learn something new. Would have helped if there had been more tools (pasta makers and pans) available to cook at the same time.
A lovely evening making pasta and then enjoying our ravioli . A well organised and enjoyable evening
Fabulous class! Enjoyed learning new techniques and recipes. We had a great chef teaching the class.
Making pasta was so much fun with Rosella! My husband and I and our 20 year old daughter had a womderful evening and dinner! Very mich recomend
Fantastic time learning to make ravioli and eggplant parmigiana. Our instructor was informative and helpful. Even with a full class of 12, we didn't feel left behind. Our dinner turned out great. My husband who is a little shy when it comes to cooking new things, really took to the class and it was nice to see him enjoy being out of his comfort zone. Tiramisu and limoncello after was tasty as well. We chose to do the pickup option rather than meet at the class. Van ride was quick and safe.
One of the highlights of our trip. Great experience making fresh pasta, tasting olive oil & wine with the stunning backdrop at sunset. Highly recommend.
Great experience with a family that loves to show how to make authentic dishes! Also offer gluten free options for my group.
Had a fantastic day with Laura and Luigi! Fun class, great food and good company! Learning how to make pasta and eggplant parm (yum!) plus sharing in pizza from an adjacent class!
Theresa was a wonderful host and teacher. My dad and I had a great experience, and our ravioli and eggplant rollatini came out delicious to boot!
We really enjoyed this class and will easily be able to use what we learned at home. It's amazing how a few simple ingredients make such a wonderful meal. The small group made it interactive and fun. The ravioli and eggplant were amazing as was the mozzarella and olive oil tasing. The wine with the lunch was nice. The staff was fun and accommodating. Would recommend!
Was not very hands on. The food was average. Not really authentic cuisine. The staff were generally friendly. The wine was very limited. Wasn’t fun
So fun! We had a blast learning how to make gnocchi, ravioli, and cannelloni. The class started with olive oil and wine tasting and then off to the pasta kitchen. (Dress in light clothing b/c it can get warm in the kitchen). After your pasta cooks you get to enjoy your creations at a table on the covered porch overlooking the olive trees. They provide transportation to and from the class to the city center as well so getting to the class is a piece of cake.
Had a great experience at this pasta cooking class on our honeymoon. They picked us and dropped us off from the square in town. Our teacher was very friendly and taught us a lot throughout the day. Food was generous including trying fresh cheese, breads and oils to go with our pasta and eggplant parmigiana that we made and a couple of glasses of wine. Would definitely recommend this class to friends and family.
Was absolutely delicious. We made our own dough and cooked everything. Very informative. Come hungry!
Taking this pasta cooking class with my 15yr old daughter was such a fun and memorable experience! We had an absolute blast learning how to make fresh pasta from scratch, everything from kneading the dough to shaping perfect ravioli. The instructor made it easy to follow and shared helpful tips. Highly recommend this class to anyone looking for a fun, hands-on culinary experience in Sorrento!
We had a great time at this cooking class! Anthea was very knowledgeable and the food was delicious. Everything was well set up and the prep area was clean and welcoming. We were picked up from a pre-determined meeting point located centrally in Sorrento and the drive to the restaurant was quick. We watched how fresh mozzarella was made and then had a tasting of the mozzarella as well as a few different flavoured olive oils. We then made eggplant parmigiana and then moved onto making ravioli caprese. Many of the components were prepared ahead of time by the cooking school so we really only learned the recipe and method for making the pasta dough itself. We did ask how the filling was made, how the sauce was made, etc. and Anthea was very willing to give us more information! After we were finished cooking, we ate on their lovely patio with some wine and tiramisu. Would definitely recommend for those looking for a fun time and for those new to cooking!
A great, fun experience. Small, friendly set up. Lovely people. Watched the making of mozzarella balls then made pizzas from scratch. Wine, nibbles, eating our home made pizza and tiramisu finished it off nicely.
Went to the ravioli and eggplant parmigiana class last week with the girls and had an amazing experience taught by Teresa! She was so patient and helpful as we fumbled our way through the home made pasta and fillings. Our dishes turned out amazing! Communication before the class was amazing…we knew exactly where to meet, timing and what to expect. Laura was great at keeping us up to date! Highly recommend!
Such a fun atmosphere -- The chefs were very good and explained the details well. We had the egg plant parmesan and ravioli. The egg plant wan't the best I have had - but was good. The experience was great.
While in Sorrento, we decided to do an Italian cooking class at Tirabuscio. From Luigi’s fun demeanor picking us up to Maria showing us how to make Ravioli & Fried Zucchini, this class was fantastic!! The fact we got to eat the food we made, made us appreciate the experience even more!! Highly recommend!!
Due to the small class size, I had one on one cooking with Teresa. She was wonderful, very knowledgeable and made the experience fun!
Great experience! Learned how to make ravioli and egg plant dish. Good group and great teachers. Pizza class also looked fun!
The class was so fun and informative and our family had the best time. Luigi is the man! Everyone should take this class !!
Theresa was a great teacher. Made pasta from scratch and eggplant parmigiana which was great. Just a fun time.. plan to eat well.
Myself and my two friends thoroughly enjoyed this experience. The setting and atmosphere of the class was beautiful - we loved the location being up in the hills and near to Tirabusco’s olive groves - eating during the sunset was stunning. The class itself was wonderful and we learned so much. It was great to come away with the knowledge on how to make 2 traditional dishes and we could tell the ingredients were all super fresh! We were also given delicious wine throughout. I couldn’t recommend this enough for friends/couples travelling in the area!
A great experience from start to finish. Staff were super friendly and Maria couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful during the tuition. Great guidance and support throughout. Opportunity to eat what was produced with a lovely glass of wine. Will definitely be trying the recipes again, especially fresh pasta ravioli. Would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Absolutely wonderful experience. Very professional set-up. Laura & Maria were very knowledgeable & friendly. Several couples were there last Thursday with my wife & I. We were the only two who selected to make Ravioli & wow, we were lucky. We had Maria all to ourselves while the others were in a second area making pizza’s. They were all laughing & smiling. We learned so much & it was the best Ravioli I had in all of Italy. Might have been the fact all the ingredients were fresh from Laura’s garden. I highly recommend this event. Mike from Austin!
Excellent cooking experience with someone who does not cook. We made eggplant Parmesan and ravioli with ricotta and mozzarella. Very fine and patient and the food came out great. Small very nice people.
We were promptly picked at 5:30 at the meeting place and transferred to the cooking school. We were a group of 9 cooks. We watched how to make fresh mozzarella. We made eggplant parmigiano and cheese ravioli. We were given a cup of tiramisu and wine with the dinner we made. We were transferred back to the meeting point by 8:30. A 3 hour excursion in total. Another group was there making pizza instead of ravioli. I don't believe we were given a choice. Actual cooking activity was about 1.5 hours. No recipes were given but pretty simple. Somewhat expensive for the experience.
Teresa was adorable! She was so nice and patient with us. The ravioli that we made with her guidance came out excellent it was a fun and informative experience.
We had such a great time making ravioli, eggplant parmesan, enjoyed eating tiramisu and tasting fresh mozzarella!!! The wine was delicious as well! We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and highly recommend it to others.
AMAZING staff and such a great experience! They were all so welcoming and kind, and taught us so much!
Excellent vegetarian meal. Very friendly staff. We highly recommend this for a fun experience while in Sorrento. Food and wine were delicious.
An excellent experience doing the ‘land menu’ cooking class. Pickup from our hotel, great hosts. Would highly recommend
Absolutely brilliant. This was a birthday treat for the family. The lady who took the course was excellent. We had the most fun we had all holiday doing this course. We made fried pizza which was fantastic, and aubergine with cheese and ravioli. Loved every minute of it and learnt masses about making pasta. Cannot fault it and worth every penny for the memories. I recommend this to every family.
Genuinely enjoyed this day so much! I was on my own (although there were 6 others doing the pizza class) so I had two teachers! Everyone was so friendly and generous, we had such a laugh. The atmosphere and the food were amazing. Couldn't recommend Laura and the team enough!
I visited Sorrento in October, and decided last minute that we wanted to do a cooking class, Laura was wonderful in communicating, i had requested to learn to make a local specialty pasta dish and also italian tomatoe sauce, On the day Luigi picked us up from the train station, arrived at the cooking school with a warm welcome from Lucia n Laura our chefs for the day, we did olive oil tasting, and then wine was poured and so the class began! Both lucia and Laura was fun and patient, took us step by step, even showed us how to can tomatoe sauce the way Italians do every year to preserve tomatoe for winter use, lunch was fruits of our labour and it tasted amazing, i fully recommend this place, is a day im going to remember for a long time, and i will be back next time i come to Sorrento!
This is the only cooking class you should be booking! We booked the 3 hour seafood cooking class that consisted of baked mussels, clams with gnocchi, fish fillet in tomato sauce and tiramisu for dessert. We were picked up at our hotel and driven to the class where a full table of fresh ingredients and table setting with bottles of wine and their flavored olive oils were there to greet us. Our chef was finishing up another class so we enjoyed a snack of bread and olive oil before starting! Our chef was amazing, extremely knowledgeable and patient with us during my many questions. She took pictures of us while our hands were full of gnocchi dough and emailed the pictures and recipes immediately after the class. After the cooking was complete, it was time to eat! All the dishes were delicious and full of flavor! I was disappointed when the experience came to an end! I would tell everyone to go to this class! Just stop looking and book this one! I have made the clam dishes many times at home and while it isnt the same as the fresh ingredients of Italy, it is still one of the best!! I highly recommend this class!
This was one of the higlights of our stay in Sorrento! We had a great time learning how to cook fish, clams, and gnocchi. Laura and Lucia were amazingly helpful, courteous, and so much fun. Highly recommend going there.
My boyfriend and I did this private class together and had a great time. The pick-up and drop-off from our hotel were very easy. The ravioli we made was in both of our top favorite pastas from the entire trip! I’ve already purchased my own pasta roller and cutters to brush up on my skills :) The wine was also pretty amazing! I have no complaints. 10/10 experience and would absolutely go back to learn something new.
Did this with my two teenagers - we had a fabulous time. Class of seven - just the right size. We prepared a Caprese salad, aubergine parmigiana, ravioli and tiramisu over three hours and ate our efforts together with plenty of local wine, and a glass of limoncello. The teachers were great - plenty of help when needed - and they even gave us a lift to/from our hotel. Best lunch I have eaten this week, and I got to share a fun experience with my kids, as well as learning how to make pasta. Definitely worth it!
My husband and I were in Sorrento for our honeymoon and booked this experience last minute because our tour to Capri got cancelled. What a blessing in disguise we had so much fun doing this class and so glad we got to experience it! Laura, Lucia and Luigi ran the day so smooth and they all made it fun and memorable. Doing a cooking class whilst in italy is a must and I definitely recommend to do this one if you can!
The staff are incredibly friendly. However, this was my second time cooking in Italy, and this was not really cooking. It was more placing stuff on a plate, cutting and minimal prep. Most of the ingredients are prepared so you do not how the tomato sauce was prepared. We made eggplant parmigiana and cut the eggplant, fried it, and stuffed it with already prepared cheese, tomato sauce and basil leaves. We do not know how long it was baked for and temperature and how cheese prepared. Caprese salad was simply cutting cheese and tomatoes and placing it. The only real thing we learned was how to prepare dough for the ravioli. Do not know how the cheese was prepared or the tomato sauce that was served with it. The Tiramisu is not your typical it is spooning marscapone and putting lady fingers in a glass and pouring lemonicello on it. How was the marscapone prepared or the lemonicello? If you want to have fun then a definite but if you really want to learn, this is not the class for you. It is outside.
We decided to have a go at the Pasta making class and could not fault it one single bit. We were collected from our hotel and driven the short journey to the cookery school up in the hills and greeted with a complimentary glass of wine. The pasta course included making parmigiana. ravioli and tiramisu. You even get to eat your own cooking!!!
My husband and i came here for our honeymoon and we had an incredible experience! From getting picked up at our hotel to the cooking to the actual food it was perfection, we made sure to buy a lot of the products used. We took part in the eggplant / ravioli cooking course which was amazing. On the other side they taught a pizza course which also looked delicious! All the staff was phenomenal which was why we will make sure to return on our next trip to Italy.
We were in a party of four, on our first visit to Sorrento. To be honest the reason we chose Tirabuscio and the general cookery course was the weather forecast for the day was awful and we Googled, 'What to do on a wet day in Sorrento' and Tirabuscio cam up. This result from Gogle should come up whenever you type in what to do in Sorrento as we all had an excellent day, and once the course started, the last thing we were doing was checking the weather. We were collected from a Hotel and driven through some of the most narrow streets we had ever seen, luckily we were in a red Ferrari, (posing as a Fiat 500) and when deposited at the venue were warmly greeted by the proprietors. Our table was laden with drinks and our party gradually rose to twelve, two Kiwis, two Israeli's and eight Brits. After an interesting introduction we were shown how, and then made our own starters, followed by making Ravioli from scratch. The time flew by as we were all having such a good time and we then went on to cook and eat what we had made. Finally we made a dessert, Tiramasu, ending the cookery course very satisfied in both what we had learnt and how full we all were. It was great fun and the owners must be warmly congratulated on the way the day was run. If you are in Sorrento, come rain or shine, this cookery day is a must!
My husband and I signed up for the cooking class with little expectations, despite the positive reviews. We wanted to learn basic Italian cooking (which ingredients to use and when, type of flour, type of cheeses, etc) so that we can make something at home. We are so glad we went to this cooking class. Laura was extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable. She answered all questions we had and offered to contact her anytime with questions once we get back home. The food was beyond delicious thanks to the fresh ingredients. We ate a lot! Definitely worth it if you are visiting Sorrento!! Thank you so much Laura (and Luigi) for your hospitality and a great experience Ps She took photos for us (without us asking) and gave us an "official" chef certificate!!!
We were on a group trip with a travel company and this was part of the day activities. I was looking forward to seeing what this was like but didn't expect the experience to be so fun! Laura and Luigi were so welcoming and patient with all of us. We had fresh picked tomatoes and eggplant and fresh basil to cook with. Making the eggplant appetizers, caprese salad, ravioli from scratch, and tarimisu was a blast! They took pictures along the way and made sure we got them so we remember this experience. I would highly recommend! Did I mention all the wine you can drink was part of the package? Thank you Laura and Luigi!!
Had a fantastic time learning how to make traditional neopolitan pizza. Nothing is held back, we are made to feel so welcome and at home, greeted with bread and a selection of their own made oils. After a glass of prosecco we get to making pizza, thoroughly explained the traditional way and the respect is shown to the ingredients, we get hands on and have a good laugh, we then enjoy out pizza and wine before a lovely surprise in learning how to make tiramisu. Couldn’t do enough for us and made us so happy a true highlight of our trip to the region. Thanks very much
