Amalfi Coast Full Day Tour With Boat Option

I used Mondo in 2024. I went back to Sorrento in October 2026 and booked their Amalfi coast day tour again! I had the same guide- Michelina. She was wonderful, informative and helpful. I do suggest that people at least review a map of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello before you go. It will help you decide where to go with the free time you get upon arrival in each town. Be prepared to walk and do LOTS of steps. The price is very reasonable. Meeting place is easy to find. Do not hesitate to book.

This Tour was Awesome!!! We stopped at 3 different locations and took a boat tour of the Amalfi Coast. We all would highly recommend it!!!

If you want a guided tour with an incredibly knowledgeable guide then this is your best option! Our driver was so kind and knew so many things. He was from Naples and gave us an entire history lesson on things we should know. My best advice. Ask him questions. He knows so much! You also get a lot of time in each city to take it all in. What an amazing experience.

We had a great day with Eduardo. He is an excellent driver on the crazy roads of the Amalfi Coast. The scenery is spectacular! Plenty of "on you own" time.

Eduardo was great! He was very knowledgeable, a great driver (very important on the Amalfi Coast) and kind. The tour was awesome! We were able to spend time in 4 of the Amalfi Coast cities. So beautiful! Would highly recommend.

We had a great day! We were glad to have the transportation, and we felt that we had enough time in each stop. The two things I’d change would be a little less narration (just let us enjoy the scenery at times) and starting a little earlier.

I enjoyed the tour, but it is important to know two things: 1) you will spend at least half the time in a bus zipping around impossible curves, and 2) although the sites are lovely, there is nothing of historical or cultural significance in these towns.

A lovely trip to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Highly recommend going on the optional boat ride as the views and sights were stunning! Edwardo was a great driver navigating all the sharp bends up the hill and getting us to every destination in time!

A great excursion only because of our guide (Michilene). Took us to all the right places. Seemed a little rush at times but it’s a long day we added the boat excursion which was worth it.

Nice views, curly road, a skilful guide and driver.Many steps to climb up and down. All three towns nice but different.

Micheline was an excellent tour guide and gave us a wonderful tour of the Amalfi Coast! She was engaging, energetic, helpful, and shared relevant information about the area. She also gave us the inside scoop about how to best navigate our free time at each destination. Gennaro was an amazing driver and navigated the tricky terrain with great skill and finesse. They made a wonderful team and offered us a fabulous experience!

We loved our fabulous day tour of the Amalfi Coast! Our guide, Deborah, did an excellent job of tailoring the trip to our wishes. She got me outstanding photo locations for Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello! My wife appreciated Deborah’s help in finding fun gifts for the family. And our Ravello lunch location was stunning and the food so delicious! My friend said that Ravello view was the most beautiful view he has ever seen anywhere! And we arrived at back our hotel in good time as we were ahead of the crowds and traffic. Our driver, Liborio, did an amazing job of navigating such challenging roads and he was always on time in picking us up! So happy we booked this tour and didn’t try driving the Amalfi Coast ourselves. Micheline gave us good information. The weather was a bit gloomy and rainy but it didn’t ruin our day. We were able to explore the towns and add on a boat ride. I would have liked to spend more time in each town but given we went to three towns I didn’t expect more time. We did leave a day of our trip with nothing scheduled so we can explore the towns we wanted to more.

Our Full Day tour of the Amalfi Coast was one of the highlights of our vacation in Italy. As a longtime reader of Rick Steves travel books, I arranged this tour through Mondo Guide which was recommended to readers staying in Sorrento. Our tour group was fewer than 20 people as we traveled to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello by minibus. Micheline, our guide and longtime resident of Sorrento, did a wonderful job describing highlights along our journey, recommending places to explore, eat and shop in each of our stops along the way. In Amalfi, we were able to explore the charming town and take an optional boat tour of the coast which was an unexpected treat. In Ravello, we escaped some of the crowds in this charming hilltop town. On our return trip to Sorrento, Micheline entertained us with colorful and historic facts of the region. When inquiring about a restaurant choice in Sorrento after our tour, Micheline made us reservations at O’Parrucchiano La Favorita and requested that we be seated under the lemon trees, which was an unforgettable dining experience. I’d like to give a special shout out to Alexis and Federico for their support and communication throughout the reservation process, and would encourage travelers to book regional tours through Mondo Guide when visiting Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.

We had so much fun on the tour. Even with the rain! Our tour guide had us laughing. She explained so much along the drive. And made sure when we stopped in Positano, she explained how to survive the small road with shops and cars!

A very well organized tour to a special place! The views are stunning…the Amalfi coast is a bucket list experience and we managed to get in and out of Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello safely and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Michelin was a very energetic and knowledgeable guide and she made the day a real pleasure.

Tour guide Andrea and Driver Dominica were awesome. Made severwl unplanned photo stops. Very knowledgeable guide who made the trip an awesome one! Hignly recommend.

Beautiful experience More than what I expected and the day was so perfect. Our driver was a true Napolitano who showed us the culture and history. It was a blast!

It’s very limited time in 3 areas on Amalfi Coast. It was nice to see all 3 but would be better to just go to 2 places and have more time in those 2 places

Micheline gave us a wonderful tour yesterday. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and enthusiastic. The combination of minivan ride and boat cruise was a great way to see the Amalfi Coast.

It was more than I expected. Our guide Michele was an excellent driver under very narrow roads, etc. We had more than enough free time at each location and was able to get us back to the ship on time. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately it rained for us the entire day. However I do want to say our driver and our tour guide Michelin were excellent. There is no way you can navigate these narrow windy roads even if you are an excellent driver and not to mention the parking situation. Our trip was really short so this allowed for us to see the coast in half a day.

Absolutely amazing day, had the beautiful and very witty Michelin as our guide, what a woman, and our driver was great too. Positano is stunning, but very busy and not a lot of time there. Then on to Amalfi, less hectic than Positano, but very scenic and great to have a wander. Ravello….WOW my favourite, so postcard pretty and laid back vibe. On the way back we stopped for a view of Vesuvius from 600m above sea level! Highly recommend this trip.

Sabrina was fantastic and funny. If it wasn’t for the rain, the day would have been perfect. But, when in Italy. You do what you have to do.

It was a well orchestrated schedule with three cities and a small boat tour off shore. Our guide, Michlynn was very kind, professional and knowledgeable. Our driver was very personable and experienced in driving the very narrow and winding roads on the coast. The Amalfi Coast is a beautiful, great one day excursion.

We had such an amazing day with Paolo during our full-day private Amalfi Coast tour! He was an INCREDIBLE driver navigating such narrow, windy streets up the Amalfi Coast. He shared with us lots of information about the area and even stopped at some lookouts to take our photo. Paolo made sure we got to see everything on our list and perfectly recommended the best way to divvy up time between Ravello, Amalfi and Positano see as much as possible during our tour. We got to see everything we had been hoping to despite the long drive and distance from the cruise port. We can't thank him enough for such a lovely day and would 1000% recommend others book a tour with Mondo Guide Day Tours!

Eduardo is awesome! He’s a safe local experienced driver who can multi-task! He is professional, funny, patient and very knowledgeable about the area. Eduardo will teach you a lot and give you a great idea of the Almafi coast in a short amount of time. Watch out for Mondo Guide texts via WhatsApp the day before or the day of your tour. The bus is quite comfortable too. Enjoy the ride there between villages!

This trip is really about the views. And they are truly lovely. Short stops in the towns means there isn't really enough time to explore. And the boat trip is only available if the traffic is light and you get there in time to catch it (we didn't). Instead we had time for a lovely lunch. Our driver was great - those windy roads are a real thing!

Alfonso was awesome! He is a local and knows the area very well! The traffic was terrible, but his knowledge and driving experience helped maximize our experience. We had lunch at a fabulous restaurant overlooking the heart of the Amalfi Coast. He made sure that we got back to the ship on time and led us in some American karaoke! Very personable and fun! We immediately felt like he was a friend!

Beautiful drive along the coast our tour guide Andea was lovely and very accommodating to our time restraints, alot of driving perhaps would have started in Positano and worked our way back perhaps.

We wish we would have had more time for lunch in Arabella but the driver was friendly and professional.

Perfect tour of the Amalfi coast. Our day was extremely well organized by our tour guide Michiline. She told wonderful stories about the history of the area plus the best places to eat, shop, and take in the sights. We especially enjoyed the boat tour. Our driver Domenico handled the trip expertly so we were able to relax and enjoy the amazing scenery. 100% enjoyed the entire day.

It’s a very beautiful drive, but be patient and just enjoy the scenery, because the traffic is extremely busy. Around every curve is another “wow” moment.

Eduardo was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable about entire coast area, and gave great information on history, landmarks and places to visit. A few of our tour were disappointed that he did not stop along the way at overlooks (as we could see many other tour groups did) in order to take pictures, but he was a great driver and knew the area very well. I would definitely recommend this tour.

They called us when we were ON THE WAY to the tour- 30 minutes before pickup- to cancel on us. It’s our last day in Sorrento and the only time we could go. They tried to place the blame on me saying I booked last minute but they had the listing up and available with no indication this would be an issue. It also wouldn’t have been as disappointing if they called us maybe an hour or two before but we were literally on our way there and they didn’t even seem apologetic- again they started to place blame on me instead. Kind of ridiculous but it sounds fun if you actually get a tour

A great day with fantastic guide Michelin. Easy pickup and instructions for the day. The towns were beautiful and the extra boat ride was well worth it. A short time in each of the places is a shame but to be expected with only one day tour! Michelin was fantastic (and our driver General) very knowledgeable and charismatic. She really made the day for us. Even booking us a restaurant reservation for the evening back in Sorrento! Thank you.

You can’t come to Sorrento and not visit the historic sites of Pompeii and Herculaneum! Our guide for the day , Enzo (Vincenzo) was amazing! Not only was he very knowledgeable about the sites but also the surrounding area. He is very caring and personable for example one of our group had a disability and he stayed with her and held her arm throughout the day to make sure she didn’t fall on the uneven surfaces. Be warned Pompeii is exceptionally busy and negotiating the hoards of visitors can be wearing, however with a guide like Enzo we still managed to see many of the sites. Would thoroughly recommend this tour.
