All Inclusive Capri And Anacapri With Blue Grotto Visit

We had a fantastic day in Capri, made all the more special by our guide, Marco! He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and good-humoured, and clearly knows the island inside out. His recommendations for both lunch and ice cream were fantastic, and he shared lots of interesting insights into Capri’s history and what life on the island is like today. Marco’s optimism about getting us into the Blue Grotto paid off! We visited at just the right time, avoiding an excessive queue. While we waited, he even helped organise the boats and coordinate the other passengers, making the whole experience run much more smoothly. He was brilliant at managing the logistics, too. Getting around Capri can be tricky, but his clear instructions and careful planning meant everything ran to schedule, while still leaving us time to explore independently. It was also lovely to see just how well known Marco is on the island – everywhere we went, people seemed to know him! He clearly has a great relationship with the local community, which added something special to the experience. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Capri. Thank you, Marco, for such a memorable day!

My only complaint was that meeting spot with the operator was very confusing since we do not speak Italian. He should have been carrying a flag or something to identify himself because there are so many different tour operators at the same starting point. Once we got under way the tour went very smooth. The tour guide took his time explaining everything in detail & we had a very good time.

Highly recommend this tour of Capri! Marco was the best and you can feel his passion for the city. The blue grotto was unfortunately closed but we still did a boat tour around the island and saw the green grotto! Absolutely amazing! Do the chairlift, you will not regret it!

Our guide Marco was amazing. He must be well known in the area because he has been a guide to many billionaires including Oprah. He immediately took us to the blue grotto because lines are known to be very long. What an experience! It’s chaos with the tour guide and boat, drivers all yelling at each other in Italian. However, when we went into the grotto our boat driver broke out in song in his amazing Italian opera voice, which echoed throughout the grotto. Acoustics were on point! It was so cool! After the grotto, sadly, it was raining and the chairlift was closed. Amazing lunch in Capri and saw as much as we could in the rain and we went onto Anacapri took a tour of the Augustus Gardens. The views were amazing. The flowers were gorgeous. overall fantastic day weather conditions. I would love to go back on a sunny day and experience at all!

It was a great way to learn about the island, the rules and be able to get around the island. Our guide was great.

Perfect itinerary to explore Capri/Anacapri Island. Transportation is comfortable and safe. Marco is fantastic and so much fun to listen to! His communication is clear and detailed. He has great instinct at maneuvering around the schedule of the tour to make sure you actually have the opportunity to see the blue grotto. Please remember, you may not see the blue grotto if the ocean is not calm due to the grotto entrance being tricky to get into in a small row boat, or for whatever other legit reasons Marco explains on why you may not see it. Also you may have to wait a long time in line to actually see it, it’ll be worth it! Bring tip money (optional but highly suggested), for the row boat men who get you into the blue grotto. They’re dedicated towards your awesome experience and experts at what they do, which is challenging. Warning: before heading towards Capri, make sure to use the restroom beforehand. They’re strict on the luxury exclusive side of the island on using the restrooms. There are public restrooms at the gardens, but they were closed when we got there early morning and I had to walk back to the meeting point (7-10 minutes) and pay 0.50 Euro cents to use a public restroom. Marco also recommends delicious places to sit down and eat at on both sides of the island. Thank you Marco!

Our guide got us to Blue Grotto asap and we didnt have a long wait. Also to the chairlift while the line was short. Day was organized perfectly. Amazing day!

We had a blast with Marco. He could be Mayor of Capri! Learned a lot about the island and got a deeper understanding of how the people of Capri live. Almost everyone we bumped into knew him.

Out guide rosella was attentive and personable. She gave us lots of help and tips not only for this trip but recommendations for other things for the holiday and souvenirs too. We had a brilliant day which was worth the money. We were lucky as there was no queue for the blue grotto and Capri town was fairly quiet.

I don’t know where to start! The coordination for where to meet, the ferry to Capri from Sorrento, coordination of tickets…all made this a wonderfully easy experience. Ok, how about the Blue Grotto? People travel to Capri with hopes of entering the Blue Grotto, and due to conditions, often are unable… with our amazing guide, Marco, and some good luck with the conditions, we were able to cut the line and enter! It was a fantastic experience! From there, we had transportation waiting and went to Anacapri. With some suggestions and advice we travelled up the chair lift to the top, came down and walked around a bit, then had a great lunch at the restaurant Marco recommended. Next up, Capri! We had almost 90-120 min to wander and shop in Capri. Meet up for the ferry back, and wrapped up a spectacular day. Thank you Marco for a wonderful day!

I would have appreciated prior notice that it might not be possible to visit the Blue Grotto. That would have lowered my expectations

Marco the tour guide was great, so glad we did the tour as Capri was soooo busy, it makes a difference having someone get you to each point. We were also incredibly lucky to make it into the Blue grotto - magnificent! They closed it after we all got through as sea conditions were changing. We also really loved the chair lift, it was a busy and full day out which we thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommend

If I could give Marco 10 stars I would!! Booking an early time is a MUST! You want to get to all of the experiences before the cruise ship tourists arrive. He was punctual and completely to prepared to make sure we got to experience as much as we could. We were SO lucky to go inside the Blue Grotto, from all the reviews and everything I have heard it was a 40-60 percent chance to get in and we did! That was a bucket list item we can check off our list. There are no words to explain how incredible it was to get inside and to be inside the Blue Grotto. Afterwards we took the chair lift up from Anacapri which gave us gorgeous views all around the island. We had time to shop, get custom sandals made and time for an early lunch. Afterwards we went to Capri and got to shop some more and enjoy one of the best gelatos around at Buoncore, right across from Rolex. Even though it is close to the end of the tour season Marco did everything he could to ensure everyone in our group was satisfied. We also got a quick preview of Alberto’s (another tour guide) beautiful singing voice on our way down to Capri. It was a perfectly HOT but unforgettable day.

Before booking this tour I did a very thorough search, and selected this one based on the good reviews and the comments highlighting that the tour guide Marco has excellent connections in the island which facilitates & elevates the whole experience of the tour...This is so true and I am so glad that we selected this tour! We were lucky and Blue Grotto was open that day and we were among the first ones to enter! I would recommend to book a land tour and at the end take an extra boat tour of the island - the guide will be happy to assist you.

Marco was a very good guide with his local knowledge of Capri. We were extremely lucky to get in the Blue Lagoon as the weather was quite blowy but we just managed it before they closed & boy, was it worth it!! The communication for the tour from start to finish was excellent & we throughly enjoyed the whole trip! We also went up the chair lift as the queue was minimal when we got there

The chair lift in Annacapri and the Gardens in Capri was a site to see. Having “ Marco” as our guide made it even better , he was charming and witty. Unfortunately we couldn’t see the blue grotto due to high tides but Marco made sure to makeup for it !

The views were unbelievable and it was very interesting so listen to the guide who was also very funny. It was an amazing experience!

Marco was an excellent guide. He managed to time everything so that we avoided all the crowds. He was extremely knowledgeable, interesting and funny. Capri and Anna Capri are really beautiful. The scenery is amazing. I would strongly recommend this activity.

Marco was incredible! We loved every minute of this tour. He got us to the grotto early and we had very little wait. Then in AnaCapri we had no line at the chair lift. He took us around Capri and we had lots of time to shop and eat. We definitely recommend this great tour!! ♥️♥️♥️

Marco of Bella Vie is a fabulous tour guide. I would love to have him as a guide again. The waters were too choppy to allow entrance to the blue grotto so I was offered the opportunity to reschedule. I chose to go anyway as a boat tour around the entire island was substituted. I was mesmerized by all the beauty. Marco guided me through areas of Capri that tourists normally don’t get to see and explained how normal people live there. He gave tidbits of insight about the area beyond the shops and restaurants. How the Greeks were first there, then the Romans, then the wealthy of the Industrial Revolution and early Hollywood. I liked his story about women’s Capri pants: the pants legs were shortened to show off the sandals made by the local cobblers; hence capris. True or not, I love the story. The trip to Ana Capri was just as entertaining, enlightening and beautiful. The chairlift to the top of Ana Capri is a must for all. The views are phenomenal. I saw a medieval wall, Greek columns, bird of paradise flowers growing in the wild. Marco explained how the city is a pedestrian city. The only motorized vehicles are for support services and they are allowed only so far into the city. Because it is pedestrian only, the most expensive homes are on the same elevation as the city. The ones higher on the mountain are less desired because of the difficulty of moving your stuff into them. I learned so much from Marco about the area. My next time in Sorrento, I will look him up as my tour guide again.

Our tour to Capri Island was the best with Marco our tour guide! He’s amazing at his job. Told us where to sit to get the best pictures , immense knowledge on the area, seems to know everyone on the Island and in Sorrento our meeting place. Which means he has all the connections to beat the crowds . He’s starting his own business ( after yrs working for others) that’s why there’s not 1000’s of reviews yet! Marco speaks 5 different languages, he makes sure you are where you need to be at all times, very clear on all instructions. We got to the Blue grotto and didn’t have to wait in line. On top of all this Marco gave us an extra tour around the Island. Thank you Marco for this spectacular tour.

This tour was fantastic. Marco was personable, helpful, and full of interesting information. We missed the Blue Grotto but the replacement boat tour around the island was the highlight of the day.

This was one of my favorite experiences of my whole Italy trip. Marco is unbelievably talented. He speaks many languages, knows all the tips to get you to avoid the crowds as much as possible, takes you to amazing spots for that perfect picture, has many connections and you can tell he is very liked and respected by the people of Capri and Sorrento. The guide Marco lives on Capri and was very knowledgeable. He knew shortcuts and knew almost everyone on the island. However, our tour was not 0730-1630. We received a WhatsApp message early the day of that there was a new meeting time of 0920. We did not board the boat until 0955. Then because of rough waters (no storm, just rough waters) we had to leave at 1330. We had VERY LITTLE time on the island. We rushed to the chairlift, rushed through the gardens, then was back on the boat. The private transportation on Capri was nice though. Took a lot of stress out of figuring out how to get to Ana-capri. Side-note, there are two ferries, a smaller one and a bigger one. We took the small one going there and the majority of passengers aboard were sea sick and throwing up. The bigger ferry was a lot nicer and smoother.

Marco was a fantastic guide. It was the last day of the season with a few things closed but we still saw and experienced so much. We especially liked Dr Munthe's house, which was very unexpected. The island really came to life with Marco's explainations and guidance. We would highly recommend this tour.

This trip was as described and as per other reviews. They were all so good that we were a little sceptical that this could have been a scam. But they are all true! Marco is a true gentleman and knows everyone in town! He was honest, genuine and full of great stories and local knowledge. There were no hidden or surprise costs. He was flexible with our tour to ensure we got the most out of our day - including a trip into the blue grotto. Thanks for a great day Marco, the favourite of our days in Italy so far. From our whole family, including our two tweens who also enjoyed the day spent with you (despite how cool they played it).

The guide was very knowledgeable and outgoing. He did has job very well and you could see he enjoyed what he did. He was punctual and very clear in his messaging.

Marco went above and beyond to help us get the best of our tour of Capri. We got to see the residents (I think he knows about 9/10 of them 🤣) and town's start to the day while the place was quiet. He explained all the little details. We were the first people that day to get into the gardens. He stopped buses for us to get us around quick, gave us the info of the places to explore in our free time and was always punctual on meeting up again. The plan of the day had to change on the fly as info was on getting into places was changing throughout the morning. We greatly appreciated the effort Marco made to make sure we had an amazing day. Marco was our tour guide ; he’s a local who’s been touring for over 26years. He knows EVERYONE on the island - many people were waving at him and chatting with him. He knows a lot of the island too; very interesting points he gave along the way . There’s no way we would have known where to go or how to come back from the island - Capri island is a mad house- thousands and thousands of people and bus system is crazy!! Unorganized and first come first serve type of system- luckily for Marco he got us a round. Blue Grotto was beautiful!!! We met him at 7:30AM in order to secure a spot (assuming weather conditions let us); and even by then we only had to wait 30min or so .. definitely worth the early rising! Overall- tour was definitely worth it! Btw: reason for such few reviews bc he just started his own company after working for other for so many years. He made others successful and finally decided to make his own!
