Maison Nana

Our host, Salvatore, was wonderful, kind, and very humorous. He warmly welcomed us when we arrived and gave us excellent recommendations and information about nearby attractions and local amenities. The apartment was exactly as shown in the photos —spotlessly clean, comfortable, and perfectly sized for two people. The large windows provided plenty of natural light and made it easy to keep the room well ventilated. The weather was quite hot during our stay, but the air conditioning worked perfectly and kept us cool at all times. Another great advantage was the location. The apartment was very close to both the main train station and the city center, making it extremely convenient to get around. I highly recommend trying the restaurants that Salvatore suggests-they were excellent! My husband and I stayed for two nights and were extremely satisfied with our experience. Next time, we would love to stay longer. We highly recommend this accommodation and would gladly return in the future.

Maison Nana is owned and managed by Salvatore. He has 3 immaculate ground level rooms with good air conditioning in a residential building that is on a quiet street yet only 10 minutes from the main square in Sorrento, Piazza Tasso, and only a short walk to the port, the bus, and train. He serves a delicious homemade breakfast daily, included with the room,, with his many homemade baked goods and wonderful conversation from this helpful and knowledgeable local man who will happily advise and help to arrange any excursions one wants. Being our first trip to southern Italy, he arranged private transport to and from the airport and private transport to the Amalfi coast, all with very reputable companies and at reasonable costs. He recommended many of the restaurants that we found delicious and helped us navigate the city and surrounding areas. He was always on call with What's App and was never too busy to be available at a moments notice to stop by and help with whatever we needed. During conversation, my husband said he loved a special kind of pastry and the next morning he had those freshly baked from a local bakery set out for my husband at breakfast! When I said that I only ate a certain kind of yogurt that was not the usual one, the next morning it was there for me! When I was worried because I had forgotten to pack my walking stick and could not locate one to buy at any of the local shops I contacted, later the doorbell rang and he was there with a big smile and a new walking stick for me! These are the kind of things that Salvatore does for his guests. We walked together to the weekly Sorrento marketplace and we became good friends. We are so grateful to have met this incredible man because there are so few like him. I hope to see him again because I miss him.

Me and my two friends stayed at Maison Nana when in Sorrento. The best choice ever. The room was spotless clean, cleaned every morning. The location is perfect, few minutes walk to the main station, city center, port, everything. Salvatore was the best. He came every morning, preparing breakfast for us. He has incredible stories and is the kindness person you will ever meet. Will help you with everything you need. We will definately come back and we will stay in the same place.

It was our first time in Sorrento, from the UK, and my husband and I had a very lovely stay in a well run, very reasonably priced, modern, spotlessly clean, bed and breakfast hotel, with a very comfortable bed! Breakfast was continental style, with delicious homemade cakes, and refreshing freshly squeezed orange juice. Our kind host/owner, Salvatore, was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for him. I had Prosecco and a homemade cake for my birthday and, if there was anything we needed, Salvatore was always very helpful and knowledgeable. The location was excellent, 5 minutes walk from the main train and bus station, in a very safe, clean, area, so handy for all the sights and only a 10 minute walk to the centre of Sorrento. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Maison Nana. I'm sure we'll be back! Thank you Salvatore, Suzanne & Alan x
