We had a wonderful stay at this lovely boutique-style hotel right near the beach. It’s within walking distance from the local train station, but a quick tip: the final stretch involves a significant number of stairs going down to the sea (which means climbing them all back up on departure!). With just backpacks, the walk was completely fine, but I wouldn't recommend attempting it with heavy luggage. The hotel features a 24/7 reception. The friendly receptionist also manages the small on-site bar, so you might occasionally have a brief wait for service, but it was never a problem for us. Our room was very comfortable and spotless. We slept incredibly well in the wide beds, the shower worked perfectly, and the Wi-Fi connection was strong both in the room and down in the lobby. Since we visited in late March, most of the nearby restaurants were still closed for the off-season. Instead, we decided to order the famous "pizza a metro" (pizza by the meter) – which was actually invented in this very town! The hotel kindly allowed us to enjoy our pizza in their restaurant area, which was a great touch. Considering the fantastic seaside location and the overall quality of the boutique hotel, the pricing is highly competitive. I warmly recommend Hotel Le Ancore!

Le Ancore is a beautiful boutique hotel! Amazing location. Incredible staff, the restaurant is great! Its an amazing place to just unwind and live like Italians for a few days or weeks.
A beautiful boutique hotel overlooking the marina. Rooms offer amazing views of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius from the balcony. Loved the exceptional service and shared access to the pools and beach at the neighboring property. Many great restaurants within walking distance. Easy access to a ferry to Capri and train to Pompeii. Thank you for a wonderful stay! I hope to return.
This place grew on me during the 4 days of my stay. It’s not in Sorrento and it’s not at the top of the cliffs. But it is down at the waterfront with beach access and steps from a marina. It is much quieter and much less touristy of an area which I came to appreciate. It is clean and the staff is super friendly. They have a solid breakfast buffet spread in the morning. The rooms seem a bit sparsely decorated, but maybe that’s normal for a more traditional Italian hotel. The bathroom had a great soaking tub and fabulous tile work. They made it easy to book excursions and ferries to Positano, Amalfi and Capri. The boat leaves from the dock only steps from the hotel. You do need to have euros for the booking, and there is no exchange or ATM nearby, just FYI.
We had a great family stay here in Feb 19. Room 8 is a family suite with 2 good sized rooms (and 2 TVs) with sea and volcano view. So glad we stayed here and not Naples, very relaxing. Nice breakfast (with nice cakes and proper Italian coffees). Without exception we felt that all of the staff genuinely care about the guests, this made us feel extremely welcome.
