Grand Hotel Aminta

The hotel is good, the staff is friendly and ready to help, special thanks to Lauren. The pool is good and relaxing. The rooms are spacious. The shuttle service to town and back at the hotel is really a plus. We just had three unpleasant experiences: 1: the food at the restaurant is overpriced and do not taste good. The gnocchi is bland and dry, very acid and tasteless. 40 euros for a piece of fish with no taste at all. 2: the AC made clanking sound the entire stay and it was not working properly. Most of the nights it would get really hot in the room, even when we closed the room door that separates the room from the entrance/bathroom. We asked the staff to check, they did but it did not solve the problem, unfortunately. 3: the sound isolation is really bad, we could hear others guests chatting in the next room. The cleaning lady woke us up everyday at 7am banging on the ceiling and walls, even putting earplugs on. Overall is a good hotel.

A true gem on the Amalfi Coast. Everything here is thoughtfully designed to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible, from the free shuttle to the centre to the warm, helpful and always available staff. The setting is simply beautiful, and the rooms are clean, modern and spacious. A special mention to the pool guy, who made our time by the pool even more enjoyable with his discreet and nice presence and impeccable service. We had a wonderful stay and would happily come back. Highly recommended!

Literally had one of the best hotel experiences in Italy here. The staff are extremely accommodating, proactive and kind. The property is stunning and its the perfect place to settle and relax after a long days of travel. The view is also truly breath taking. We also loved the free shuttle that runs nearly every hour into the city. We stayed in the back villa and loved waking up next to the lemon groves and birds chirping in the morning. Highly recommend a stay here and we will be back the next time!

What a wonderful hotel. So much thought and effort has been put into making this a truly fabulous place to stay. The rooms are decorated in a cool and fresh style, with comfortable beds, great aircon that is quiet and easy to use and huge bathrooms. The staff are friendly and attentive without being too much. The views are stunning. The relaxation areas include an outdoor hot tub with breath taking views, a relaxing seating area over looking the bay, a wonderful pool with sun loungers we never struggled to secure and a well equipped gym with plunge pool. There's a gorgeous bar and seating area and a seating area for lunches next to the pool The breakfast buffet had lots of choice of hot and cold food and the a la carte dinner was delicious. The hotel shuttle meant we could get in and out of sorrento easily and goes on until late. We even hired the hotel's little electric car for the day, at 60E, and went to Positano. The reception foyer and lounge area are beautiful. Everything is just great! Minor improvements would include the gym being open until 8pm and the shuttle bus being bigger and taking a direct route into town (the route down sometimes varies and loops round and round the town several times). Overall this hotel is a complete joy, superb value for money and I'd highly recommend.
