Join us and experience the charm of the Arctic wilderness! You will create memories that last forever. No previous knowledge is required to drive a snowmobile. All you need is a regular driver's license, and it's as simple as it is fun. A thorough safety introduction and driving instruction will be given before the trip starts. You will ride in pairs, a driver and a passenger on each snowmobile, with the opportunity to change seats during the trip. We drive into the remote mountain plateau Finnmarksvidda, one of Europe's last wilderness areas. We follow the old postal path up to the highest point of the plains. The temperature on the plateau can vary from a few plus degrees to well below freezing. We can not promise you windless days and clear skies, but whatever the weather, the nature on the plateau will be just as magnificent and impressive. Hot drinks and a snack / cake give a cozy touch to the outdoor experience. Cancellation may occur due to weather conditions. Actual time spent snowmobiling is approximately 2 hours.
Although it was the coldest I have ever been I thoroughly enjoyed my first snowmobile ride, the scenery was spectacular- like a winter wonderland. The team provides all the cold weather gear and good instructions on operating the snowmobile. Very enjoyable way to spend the morning!
excellent and spectacular we drove to a small chalet about 30 minutes outside Alta and changed into ( all warm clothes and gloves boots provide but suggest you buy foot and hard warmers before you arrive as they were expensive and did not work!/ signed paperwork showed driving license ( mandatory if driving the snowmobile given a lession in the control and away we went but great guide (vicky i think) and due to the temp minus 30 we spent about 2 hours on finnmarksvidda a really clear day the snow perfect as recent snowfall
Absolutely loved this adventure. Collected from central Alta and driven about 20mins out of town. There, we were given warm suits, boots, helmets and mittens and very clear instructions on how to drive. Drove out into a winter wonderland when it snowed as we left. Perfect. The plateau break gave us the sun set (or rise) and with a toddy and Norwegian chocolate, it was perfect. The instructors (Marion) were incredible. They stopped regularly to check in and gave us very clear expectations of what was coming next. They were very knowledgeable and really friendly. Would definitely do again.

We had really great guides who gave us a thoroughly instruction how to use this snow mobile The woods landscape scenery was really impressive, a great combination of learning a bit, enjoying the scenery and having fun with a snowmobile
The length of the experience was just right and we felt that we travelled a decent distance. Gear provided was really good so we didn't freeze to death. We had never done this before. The "thrill level" was about right.

It was a wonderful tour in a fascinating landscape with wonderful weather. It was my first snowmobile ride and it was great. The guides were nice and explained everything in detail and guided us wonderfully. I would do the tour again and again!!
Was upgraded to the 6hr historical snowmobile safari with an amazing Reindeer Stew lunch. Fabulous unforgettable experience, incredible guide and the fellow travellers (all strangers) came together and made this day perfect. Breathtaking scenery. Professional and well organised trip. Felt safe and looked after while also able to enjoy the exhilarating experience of snowmobiling across the plateau. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

My husband Jaime went for a Morning Snowmobile Adventure in Alta organised by Aeventyr. He had a great time and really enjoyed the tour. Everything was as planned, the guide was friendly and provided useful information about things to do in Alta like visiting the ice hotel and predictions for the northern lights watching. Very happy and would recommend this activity to anyone.
The clothing provided is super warm, the support is top notch and very friendly. Snowmobiling is just a lot of fun. The landscape was beautiful and the weather just put us in a good mood. Unforgettable day. Thanks to the whole team

As a couple, we took part in a morning snowmobile adventure in Alta, which was organized by Æeventyr. Our guide Jakub welcomed us very warmly and to our surprise and delight we were the only ones there. Our tour guide Jakub turned a booked snowmobile tour into a great adventure for us. After we had a "Northern Lights Tour" with Line from Æentyr (great!!) the evening before and had already been able to "snowmobile" a bit, Jakub led us for 3 hours through the Finnmarks-widda, not just on tourist trails. It was an adventure, especially thanks to Jakub's guiding --- his great, friendly and competent manner made us feel not like tourists but like friends who were out on the snowmobile together...
