This was truly one of the most memorable experience of my life. Incredibly beautiful scenery with adorable dogs. It was very clear the hosts deeply cared about the dogs and it was simply so amazing. Do not miss this if you are in the area.

Absolutely fantastic experience. Anuk was so friendly and professional. The dogs were so happy and energetic, we could not stop smiling! The venue was quite charming too. It is not cheap however believe me, you will never regret what you have paid for. Thank you so much 💓
What an amazing experience. Our guide was great, the dogs were so friendly, this was an all around fabulous experience. We were so glad we booked this excursion. You will definitely be warm enough in the suits they give you. Everyone was so friendly and gave great instructions as to how to drive the sled. If you are a dog person, this is definitely the activity for you. After you finish the ride you get to meet all the dogs, feed them and give them lots of love.
It is exciting and fun! Being able to be the driver while sledding was a once in a lifetime experience! The dogs are so strong and hard working. Sledding in the wilderness made this experience completely worthwhile!
Anuk spent a great deal of necessary time explaining how to mush the dogs and how to enjoy the experience. We loved it. We met the dogs and puppies afterwards.
Unforgettable experience, with helpful and calm explanation in how to drive the slide and taking care of the dogs. All were so friendly - We enjoyed evry minute of the Trip
This was something I’ve always wanted to do and this experiment exceeded my expectations.. The guide helped us to get on heavy winter attire to keep us warm. Next we learned how to work with the huskies. My husband drove and I set in the sled all wrapped up. We rode along for a long while before switching drivers. I didn’t believe my legs were strong enough, so my husband drove the whole time. Back from the ride, we were given food to give the huskies and time to love on them. The dogs were very affectionate. We also got to meet the younger puppies which was so fun. This experience is so fun. Do it if you can
The dogs were great. Our guide Linda was informative and a great teacher. We all had a good amount of time to ride and drive our own sleds. Excellent experience!
The ride is not 4 hours, it's approximately 1 hour, the rest is talking, changing in warm overalls, getting the instructions and drinking coffee after. The experience was great, nice dogs, I got to pet the dogs afterwards and I got to let some puppy's.
The most fun! The experience was a life memory event! This event was both interesting and fun! First, our pick up driver was very friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival to Gargia Lodge, an historic lodge and camp, we were greeted by our guide, Linda. Linda, our guide, was very customer focused, friendly, and treated us all, (there were some anxious and physically challenged participants) with kindness and patience! Her instructions were clear and delivered with humor. Suggest that you are able to keep your balance and are physically able to hold on, so that you can thoroughly enjoy the experience. We were able to drive the sleds ourselves thru forest trails and in the open fields. Both persons had a chance to drive the sled and be the passenger. Gargia lodge provided warm winter overall suits, boots, woolen socks, gloves and head wear. But, do wear warm thermals and even bring toe and hand warmers dependent on the temps. The history of the lodge is interesting and charming and we were provided warm drinks following the ride. We learned about the very friendly and well behaved dogs, their training and their living environments. Linda shared with us how she and the team train, handle and maintain their treasured dogs to assure they are well cared for and loved! We highly recommend this event!
Tryly a wonderful experience! Our driver was engaging and pleasant. Our guide, Anuk suited us up, gave us an informative briefing and off we went. If you followed her instruction you were in for a fun time and could check this off your bucket list!✅️ We got to feed the dogs their treats and meet the younger pups. A nice black currant tea afterwards was very tasty and a nice accouterment. Job well done!
amazing experience we were provided with warm clothes and boots and socks and gloves and 4 huskies and sledge given a lesson and away we went through the woods, fresh snow and we driving our own sledge and we switched drivers half way quite cold so wear everything especially the passenger who lay on the sledge. buy hand and foot warmers as it was minus 20, great dogs they just love running fast and my foot was on the brake most of the way , after the trip we visited the husky kennels and fed the puppies ( 8mth but large! the guide was great and loved the dogs
Most amazing experience. Richard the tour guide / dog handler was amazing, he taught us how to drive the sledges. It’s definitely a bit more strenuous than I anticipated but there was people in my group in their 70s and they managed well!! The dogs are sooo friendly, we got to meet them properly and play with them after including the new puppies. Most amazing views. Incredible experience and really friendly people.
Excellent experience. Loved every minute! Only a small group which was good. Dogs are amazing and the instructions were clear.
Dress warmly with layers, Snow suits are provided, along with over woolen socks, hat & warm mittens, Which all kept me very cosy
We had the most amazing husky sledding experience. Thank you to Linda and Raul for going out of their way for us! We will definitely be back to do it again soon!
We did the dog sledding tour. Raoul was our guide. He was a really good and enthousiast tourguide. He explained everything and took the time. We really liked it en enjoyed it so much. Would really recommend!
Was the best experience, everything ran smoothly and the staff were so helpful and experienced. It's an activity that cannot be missed!
Great experience, our guide Adam was very helpful and informative, ensuring we had the right clothing and explaining how to and what to expect when sledding with a team of dogs. He went out of his way to ensure we had a great experience, which we did.
Best experience so far. Husky sledge run was nice and long, plenty of opportunity to enjoy the scenery. Afterwards we were invited to feed our own Husky teams and make a fuss of them. All the dogs were extremely friendly. Our favourite experience on this holiday, well worth the money.
Our sled guide Adam was great. You can tell he’s very passionate about the dogs and their wellbeing, and he explained a lot of the practices to maintain their mental & physical health, their routines, training, etc. The huskies are all super sweet and loved receiving all the pets after our sled ride!
The guide was great, attentive, and provided loads of information. Dogs were well cared for, and we had a very individualized experience-able to ride and drive the sled.
We had such a great time on this dog sledding adventure. The drive out to Gargia Lodge took about 30 minutes, but the driver was very knowledgeable and filled the drive with information. Upon arrival, we were outfitted with thermal suits, boots, additional socks and mittens if needed. A brief introduction on how to handle the sled was provided, simple yet very clear. Our guide was fantastic. She made sure the sleds stayed together and took us on a great journey in a winter wonderland. We were able to hang out with the wonderful dogs after the ride and each person was given the chance to drive the sled and ride if wanted. We then went back to the lodge and had a snack and a lovely warm fruit drink that was amazing. Everyone was so helpful. They answered all of our questions about dog sledding and their journeys as well as answer lots of questions we had about the area and things to do. Such a wonderful experience. Everyone should visit Alta and go on a dog sledding adventure.
This was a fantastic experience that was worth every penny! The thrill of driving the dogsled is really special and the course around the lodge is full of scenic views, fun ups and downs, and beautiful woods. Having the opportunity to switch drivers at the halfway point was also a great touch that made sure everyone got to drive the team. The dogs are all fantastic and getting to bond with the team afterwards was a ton of fun! I have to also commend the guides on the gear that was provided. It was -20 degrees Celsius before getting on the sleds but the provided boots, mittens, and Arctic suits kept us toasty warm even in extreme temperatures. If you are in Alta, I would absolutely recommend this activity to anyone who likes adventures in a winter wonderland!
Really fun experience. Picked up on time, really nice drive to the resort where everything was ready and waiting. The dog sledding was great fun, really enjoyable. Highly recommended.
Guide was amazing extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We can tell she loved the dogs and that the dogs loved her. It was an amazing experience.
It was such a great experience to be able to drive a dog sled yourself. We've been told exactly what to do. The guides were totally nice and the dogs were great. It was one of the best experiences in my life and I would book it again and again.
A great experience: drive your own dog sled across the snow plains and through the forests! Even with zero experience doable.
We had a great day. Everything went smoothly. From the pick-up to the dog sled ride to the return to Alta.
Indescribably beautiful trip. We were picked up at the port in Alta. The start is in the middle of the winter landscape. Our guide Adam explained everything great to us and then it started. We drove the sleds for almost an hour. An experience we can only recommend to all. This trip is worth every cent!!!
