This is a great way to see the cliffs around the area along the coastline. Go early in the morning if you can. Weather dependant but they do give you a spray jacket to wear. You will get quite wet regardless from the ocean spray but it is all in the fun of the trip. The morning we went, the boat took us out 13 miles to sea to find a big pod of bottlenose dolphins with heaps of babies. It’s a bumpy ride so be prepared. And it was a good weather day. You are only in the cave no more than 2 minutes on the boat as that is all the current restrictions allow.

It was great to see the Dolphins in the wild and the cave and shoreline was amazing and interesting to see how nature formed the cave
Enjoyed a great boat ride to see several dolphins. Then cruised across the waves to explores several caves which were easily accessible with our Captains effortless navigation skills. Highly recommended 👌
Went on a walking tour of the Benagil caves and was excited to see them from the ocean. The caves and cliffs were stunning. Then we headed to the open ocean to see a group of dolphins swim. They really put on a show for us with a few breaches. The group included a baby dolphin too! At every stop a guide would explain the significance of the rock formation. Would definitely recommend this tour. Especially because our boat (the Hurricane) was on the larger size that buffeted the waves better than a smaller boat. Loved Bom Dia Boat Tours!
This was a great tour, very well organized, super fun! We saw a pod of dolphins and even spotted a pregnant dolphin. It was super exciting! Would recommend to others.
What an amazing experience. All the crew were helpful, friendly and accommodating. The dolphins were incredible and the caves and coastline stunning. I can’t recommend this trip enough.
I took the 5:15pm combo excursion and while we didn’t see dolphins, the caves were really cool. We also got to see the sunset. Staff is friendly (spoke English and Portuguese). Bring a sweater or light jacket because it can get really cold out there.
Seeing the dolphins jumping and riding the boats bow wave was spectacular..Well worth doing
This was excellent. Great guides and well organised. We were very lucky and managed to see a whale as well as dolphins. The caves were beautiful too. Highly recommend.
I had a blast! I got seasick at first because the seas were rough but they did a great job making sure I felt healthy enough to enjoy the trip. Unfortunately we couldn’t go into the caves because we of high tide but it was still fun to see the baby dolphins
Too expensive for something that might or might not happen. They claim 96% success rate to see the dolphins but most comments prove otherwise. We did not see the dolphins and neither did the group before us. The cave tour was okay. Also told us to be at the pick up point 20 min earlier but we boarded the boat 20 min later than the scheduled time, so overall had to wait for almost one hr.
WOW, what an experience! This 2.5 hour boat trip was absolutely amazing! We booked through get your guide. We seen harbour porpois, a pod of common dolphins, a turtle and lots of tuna jumping in and out of the water (which the crew said that it very uncommon and they hadn’t seen before) There were approximately 30/35 people on the boat. The staff were incredible. Their passion for making the experience amazing but also for the sea life and the safety of the sea animals. Having a marine biologist on board was fantastic and such a nice touch and she was happy to answer any questions that you had. The tour of the coastline and the caves were truly amazing too! So fascinating to see and hear about how the caves and coastlines were formed. Overall it was a wonderful trip and I would highly recommend it.
Incredible experience and absolutely worth both the time and the investment. From start to finish, everything was well organized, and the scenery was breathtaking. The guides did an outstanding job explaining everything; we were also able to see the dolphins, which was great for our kids.
What a fabulous trip. Originally we wanted to do the caves then we were offered the dolphins and caves. It was amazing. We did the morning trip before it got too hot. We were fortunate to get the front seat in the boat. First we went to the beautiful benagil cave. It was awesome. Beautiful colours. Then we went to find the dolphins. The marine biologist on board told us to keep our eyes peeled. She explained which dolphins we saw. It was good to see them close up in their own environment .
This was a wonderful tour! The team was welcoming and taught us a lot. We were lucky to be able to see 4 fin whales and will treasure the experience forever. I highly recommend this.
What an incredible experience! Even though I went by myself, I never once felt alone. The entire team made everyone feel comfortable, welcomed, and included from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to Dalila, who was absolutely wonderful to deal with. The customer service, professionalism, and information she provided were exceptional and truly helped make the experience so enjoyable and comfortable from start to finish. One of the highlights for me was having a marine biologist onboard who took the time to answer questions, educate everyone, and share such genuine respect and care for the sea life and environment. It made the entire experience even more meaningful and appreciated. You could truly feel their passion, not only for giving people a wonderful experience, but also for protecting and respecting marine life. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone considering it — whether you’re going with others or adventuring solo like I did!
Lots of fun on a high speed boat. We saw many long nose dolphins which were magical. The benegil caves were also a great treat to see. Highly recommended.
We had an amazing time on the Lagos dolphin and Benagil cave boat tour! Seeing dolphins in the wild was absolutely magical and something we’ll never forget. The Benagil caves and coastline were stunning — even more beautiful in person. A huge shoutout to the guide and marine biologist onboard, who made the experience even better by sharing so many interesting facts about the dolphins, marine life, and the caves throughout the tour. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Algarve!
Efficient and friendly staff. Nice boat. Saw Risso's dolphins. Went into nice caves. Affordable price for the experience.
We were only in the area for day and a half. We did 2 boat tours and this was fantastic. Today is our 29th anniversary and this tour made it so special. The weather was perfect and water not bumpy. We saw some dolphins including a type that is rare and mostly white. Then we went down the coast into some caves. The staff were very skilled and professional. It was worth every penny. We booked the tour ahead of time as we came here to see the cave and rock formations so would have been sad if everything was booked. Luckily the weather was ideal. So ❤️ this experience and highly recommend it.
can be windy and cool - bring a jacket- camera! so fun. long journey out to sea. we were lucky to see so many dolphins... large and small... then to bengali for the caves... they are spectacular! you won't be disappointed.
The entire experience from dolphins to cave great 2 and half hours ty the people where lovely too . And the dolphins come very close to the boat well worth the money . I wouldn't advise this trip on a cold or overcast day . Luckily for us it was a hot day and make sure u bring something warm as the breeze can be cold.
The crew were very friendly and enthusiastic in sharing dolphin behaviour information. They also shared the history of the caves.A great trip!
Caves weren't as dramatic or picturesque as i imagined - so many boat tours going to the same place ruined the experience - giving the effect of a traffic jam on the ocean. Speed boat did not make for a comfortable journey - very bumpy ride left my son physically sick and both myself and my wife feeling sea sick as well. That said, we did get to see dolphins who swam up and around the bow of the boat - which redeemed the trip.
This was a great experience for my grandkids, daughter, son-in-law and my wife and I. Were sippose to go on Sunday but the weather was to be very windy Were offered to change to Saturday which we did. Staff was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the dolphins and geology of the caves. Captain got us inside the famous Benagil Cave and 1 other cave. Saw many common dolphin, some right under the boat. The timing of thd trip is just right, not too long but not rushed either. I highly recommend Seatrip and the "Hurricane" boat.
This is a fantastic tour - we got to see dolphins really close to the boat and then the Benagil cave and the Algarve coastline / rock formations were spectacular. The team on the boat was helpful, made the trip insightful and fun for us. Highly recommend
Not to long not to short, Great knowledge of dolphin and of the geology. We got to see dolphins, a mother and her baby, after a 20 minutes search. Then we headed out to the cave for the remaining of the trip. Everything when smoothly.
very nice combined tour. Caves were very interesting and we did find some dolphins. Bring warm clothes - we had a sunny day and it was still chilly on the water. Boat is reasonably stable - but there are swells - if you are prone to seasick, take precautions. Crew was knowledgeable and informative - spoke mostly in English, but had handouts in other languages. Price was reasonable. We did the Ponta de Piadade tour with this group as well - very nice people.
Booked this experience over a month ago. Company confirmed and accepted payment. We showed up for our tour and there was no one there. They are in Holland for vacation! Still accepting bookings. Seatrips/La Bomba Day Tours is a scam
Having a marine biologist on the tour was a huge highlight. It was so interesting to hear about the dolphins and geology of the formations. The whole trip was gorgeous and the team was phenomenal.
This is my first ever negative review, but It wasn’t the best trip for me and certainly not relaxing. I think they sold more tickets than seats, so we had to sit on the bench beside the engine. Do you think I heard any thing what they were saying? So much for their marine biologist information, which I actually did not experience at all. I had huge headache instead. The nature is beautiful, but I do not acknowledge any effort, but transportation from this particular group. There is such big competition with these sea trips and this one is not recommended and was disappointing for me.
Phenomenal cruise the see dolphins and Bengali Caves Great crew , safe well run company Rain gear was given out Lots of information given on dolphin patterns and life we saw a pod of 12 both adult and young The caves were busy but the captain was able to get in and out of those caves with little issue We have done not too many on the boat but very sturdy and safe ride Recommend highly
Excellent tour with passionate crew membres about dolphins and caves. The team in the agency was also nice with us.
Fantastic…saw caves and tons of dolphins. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We felt it was worth every penny.
Amazing trip! The Staff was friendly and informative! Amazing caves and landscape, but most of all the dolphins. Learned a lot, which is always fun!
We got to see a pod of dolphins with 3 brand new baby dolphins. The marine biologist was super informative and knowledgeable. The cave was nice. I heard it is better later in the day the light shines in better. It was cool but long boat ride and cold and windy to get there. The dolphins were awesome though
Superb trip with excellent crew. We were told that we may not see any dolphins but we did and what a magical experience it was. Well worth the cost just to see this pod of common dolphins and topped it off with seeing the special caves.
Very scenic trip and a good way to see the villages, beaches and stunning cliffs from the water. The boat felt very safe with knowledgeable staff relating to the dolphins. Definitely recommend. It is good for people with minor physical impairments. The staff treat you with priority and select suitable seats.
My partner booked this trip originally for the benigal caves but we had the chance to do both caves and dolphins. Being a very nervous sailor I was very happy with the experience as it was a very pleasant 2 1/2 hour trip . Lots of information given as we travelled & to top it off spotted lots of dolphins. Thanks to all the team for making what could have been a very nervous trip into a trip of the holiday xx
Very fun and interesting. Beautiful scenery and good information from the crew. Seas were a little rough going out but still fun!
We would highly recommend Sea Trips – a fantastic experience from start to finish. The crew were professional, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. Having a marine biologist on board made the trip even more special, as we learned so much about the local wildlife and marine environment. An unforgettable day out on the water!
Amazing experience! Friendly and professional staff. Was looking for an ethical tour that does not disturb the dolphins in their natural habitat. This felt respectful, serious and educational. Highly recommended!
Wonderful boat trip to see the dolphins and the Benagil caves. The guys shared information about the different species.
It was an amazing ride in the rough Atlantic sea ,but was all worth it. The skippers chased the dolphins for a long time to ensure we can spot them .Recommend it.
Delivered everything that was promised and the team had a great sense of humour. The kids had loads of fun, we saw the dolphins and learned a lot.
Had a lovely experience from the time of booking with Jean Pierre who was knowledgeable and so friendly and enthusiastic. We booked the 2.5 hour Bengil and dolphin watching tour - last 4 seats on 5.30 trip on a Hurricane. The speedboat was fun and all the guides/marine biologists were knowledgeable and informative. We went to an area where dolphins weee seen and were so pleased to be able to see a large pod with a very small baby swimming and jumping close to the boat. We then went quite a long way to Benagil and back along the coast visiting caves and beaches. Was a great tour if a little cold and breezy on the way back. Lovely sunset on our return
Amazing experience, we got to see a pod of 30 bottlenose dolphins playing in the waves. The cruise around the caves was also beautiful although they are pretty busy. Crew was very knowledgeable and helpful. Boat was comfortable and quick. I was surprised that we went as far out as we did but absolutely worth it.
Disappointed...we had to cancel this experience due to our kids being terrified of the choppy waters on the tour we did the day before. We canceled 22 hours in advance rather than the 24 (of course because we didn't know how bad the waters would be as tourists), they still would not refund us the $245. They said to take it up with Viator, but I was told from Viator that the company would put in the request for the refund. Very confusing. No compassion or empathy for our situation.
Lovely trip to see dolphins swimming (from afar) and view the beautiful caves. About 40 people in a large speed boat (children sit at the back as a less bumpy ride). Everyone handed red rain macs to keep dry too. Trip lasts around 2 hours. Be prepared -windy and noisy in the speed boat. Would have liked to have got closer to the dolphins but several tour boats in the area at the same time so essential to respect the dolphins. Worth doing but would say over expensive.
Well organized trip. A lot of information. Many dolphins to see. Crowdy because of many boats, but handling well. All in all, highly recommend.
