Monchique Half Day Small-group Tour From Lagos

We highly recommend any tours with Filipe! He was very knowledgeable, professional and kind! The Monchique tour had some walking and driving. Because it wasn't busy, we had Antonio as our private guide, which was amazing. He is so knowledgeable and engaging; he seems to instinctively know what your interests are. He was incredibly patient as I spent way too much time in a lovely shop in Monchique that had all hand-made items; what a gem that I never would have found on my own. The views from the mountain were amazing. Best for us was the walk around Caldas de Monchique, a tranquil oasis. You could not do better than a tour with Antonio. Everything was perfect.

The relaxing drive into the Monchique countryside with our lovely driver Magdelana. The views from the top were gorgeous as was the liquor.

Good tour of areas you wouldnt see. Good company to book through as they were professional . The tour didn’t have a huge highlight. . We visited studio bonagart in monchique which I highly recommend

The itinerary was perfect with great views of the Algarve from it's highest point. The stops at the spa town a d Montique were special. We would highly recommend this tour and this company.

Great day trip with our wonderful Guide Antonio from Southern Explorers. A special visit to a spa town and to Montique. The views from the highest point on the Algarve was spectacular. You could see from Faro to Cape St. Vincente.

I really enjoyed my day with our guide Antnio for this visit at Silves and Monchique ending with a great wine tasting experience. I learned a lot about this less known part of Portugal which mots tourists miss. Quite an enjoyable day in nature. I got to see stark nests, cork and eucalyptus trees, many flowers and the top of the Monchique Mountain as well as its natural water source used by a spa. The castle in Silves is impressive with its red bricks.

Knowledgeable tour/driver guide brought us to Historical Silves and Monchique then to the highest point in Southern Portugal, finishing at a small private winery for tasting and tour. Wonderful mix of history, landscapes and pleasant time spent with the others on the tour.

With our guide Antonio we felt immediatley welcome. He take us to beautiful places and gave as a lot of information about the landscape, the history and the people. All in all it was a great trip!

Antonio is an great tour guide who is very knowledgable about the surrounding and all it has to offer, such as the history, culture and culinary, among other aspects. He is very friendly and ready to let you go and explore the souvinier shops and chitchat with the locals. We really enjoy our trip, he shows a lot of passion for his job and a lot of energy from start till the end of the trip.

Antonio knows a lot about the flora and fauna in the surrounding areas. He also knows about the history of the places. The places are very beautiful. egg

Me and my partner were very pleased with this tour, and would defiantly recommend it for anyone who likes siteseeing. It would be great for anyone, people in groups or even if you are traveling by yourself. I am also very glad I had my camera with me that day. Antonio was a very good guide who knew a lot of information about each place we visited and was very friendly as well.

We had a very nice guide who showed us the beautiful landscape and great views. A lot of things were explained, but unfortunately the tour was not offered with a German-speaking guide, so we couldn't understand everything.

Pleasant morning with South Explorers, this is the second time we have been with this company and are delighted. Visit of the hot spring, and the village: lovely. Then we went to the heights. Being in the countryside changes Lagos’ seaside scenery, and it feels good. Thanks to António.

The thermal baths of the village of Monchique it is really worth visiting this picturesque village as well as going to Foia for the panorama that offers this highest peak of the Algarve. Our guide Antonio knows the area very well, he is attentive to our questions, he respects our rhythm, he gives very interesting comments about the area. We enjoyed our visit.
