Lagos: Benagil Cave Boat Tour

This was such a fun and cool way to see the caves! Ana was the best tour guide - she knew so much and had such great stories to tell. Everyone on the boat really seemed to enjoy themselves, I would definitely recommend this!

The tour is very well organized and flexible. It was everything we hoped for. The guides were very nice!

We had a lovely morning at sea, lucky to see dolphins & the caves were spectacular; Thankfully the ocean was calm so no gravol needed.

The boat trip is really the only way to see the Sea Caves. A nice guide and wonderful coastal scenery.

A great experience! Not too long not too short. The guides were extremely friendly and informative, the excursion was breath taking.

Our experience was during a rough sea day, so although we couldn’t enter the cave, we pulled up close to Benagil Cave. The landscape was still breathtaking. The ride on the raft was really fun, but definitely not for anyone with back problems. Our driver and guide were mildly hospitable. It would have been great to hear a bit more about what we were seeing though. Overall a good value.

What a perfect tour, Nuno and Gonzales were superb, I had such a beautiful time and it was great to hear about the history of the different places we went through and to see the absolutely astounding sites. Would highly recommend.

Marie and Nunu were wonderful! They showed us around the different caves (not just Benagil), and also pointed out various villages and landmarks along the way. The boat ride was a lot of fun!

Such a fun experience! The team at Dolphin Seafaris made our boat trip fun & enjoyable while also being informational & offering to answer questions. It was a bit of a rough ride, definitely would not recommend for kids, people with limited mobility, or older folks as you really need to be able to hang on during the boat ride. Our guys also spotted large groups of dolphins on the water twice & made sure to stop so we could watch! It seems like a lot of the 16hr (4pm) rides get canceled because of rough waters later in the day (ours did) but they were able to rebook us an earlier time at 14hr (2pm) which was great because we were available & didn’t need to miss it! Overall great experience!!

We had an amazing experience on this tour. The boat ride along the coastline was exhilarating- the kids loved the speed of the boat. We got in really close to many caves. There was an opportunity to stop and swim and try cliff jumping. The tour guide offered tips of what to see and where to go, as well as knowledge of the caves and coastline. Highly recommend if you like thrill seeking, but not for the elderly because of the design of the seats.

What an adventure! Our group of 11 (ages 7-76) lucked out and got the Tornado boat all to ourselves and had a super fun day at sea! It was a fast and bumpy ride out to the caves - we all shrieked with joy as our boat hit the waves! The caves were stunning, and our captain and crew gave us lots of great history and insights into what we were seeing. We all had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this tour!

It was an amazing ride! To be honest, I had no idea it was going to be a speed boat so that scared me for second haha but overall it was a blast. We got great pictures and had a really fun time!

Captain Nick made the tour Fun and informative but not overwhelming with dialogue. Golden hour was a perfect time to catch a bit of sunset and then see the lights come on the bridges.

We had an absolutely incredible time😍 I would highly recommend this to anyone. The guides were so good and knew so much. We learnt a lot and what a rush the boats name is definitely suited to it. Take a trip on the tornado it is exhilarating 😁

Seafaris is an excellent tour operator. The guide is humorous and knowledgeable. The office staff members are warm, friendly and helpful. The boat is comfortable. Recommended for boat trips to the Benagil caves from Lagos.

We really enjoyed this 2 hour trip. Great perspective of the coast and cool caves. Just right. Good value. We also enjoyed a cold Guinness overlooking the marina when we finished.

It was a lovely experience visiting the caves. I enjoyed the speedboat ride even though the waves were choppy. I think that added to the experience. We had a great guide too.

They are very well organized , including directions on to where to meet. The staff are very friendly, from their desk to the guide and the captain.

We sped out in a smaller boat (~20 people) to visit several beautiful caves for photo opportunities. Upon our return, we were able to see 4 dolphins. The staff was very nice and wanted to make sure we enjoyed the trip.

It was a fun tour lots to see and very educational. Would recommend recommended highly but only go if the sun is shining it’s warm

The caves are amazing! However, we were on a bigger boat that didn’t allow us to go in quite so far as some of the smaller boats I saw. Also, it was hard to understand the tour guide and very little description was given. But everyone was nice and we got to see the caves

Visiting Benagil caves with their boat was amazing experience. The speed boat ride itself for getting to caves was so nice. Benagil caves is a must visit. You get to see many caves in different sizes including secret or unexpected ones. Appreciate rock formations and cliffs. To me, it was unforgettable experience and i think, it is worth for every penny. I thank you the team, the guide and the captain. I definetly recommend them!!

Not a fan of the sea and took a little while to get used to speed of boat but after that, all was good. The tour guide was attentive to all there and the views were fantastic. Would recommend.

Hendrik was so knowledgeable about the coastline and made our boat ride so enjoyable! The experience was just brilliant, the coastline is beautiful. Well worth a trip!

Visit many caves by the boat, wonderful views. Bring glasses because the boat goes fast so the eyes tears up!

Loved it. Its about a 35-40 min ride out to the caves on a small speed boat. They show you multiple cave spots before heading back. Take sunscreen and sunglasses. 2 total hours is more than enough. Would recommend it.

Very good tour and an excellent visit to the Benagil cave and the surrounding area. The two tour guides were very fun while providing a great deal of information. The accomodations were also good, comfortable seating, life jackets of course, and protective coat for the ocean spray. Book this tour, you will enjoy it.

Great site to see cliffs and caves. Boat managed to get into couple caves I got soaked on way to caves. So bad I saw nothing on way to caves. Should have been warned at reception desk when given coats— we were told they were for id, nothing about splash protection .

We had a great experience on our Seafari tour of the Benjali Caves. Our captain expertly navigated through the choppy water constantly adjusting the course of the boat to assure minimum impact and water spray, and our guide Sam was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor.

I had booked this online from India and communication throughout the process had been really easy and prompt. They have their 25 year anniversary going on so they also provided a discount for the trip. In Lagos, you just cross over to the Marina from the old town using the foot bridge, and there are a cluster of shops to the left. Theirs is shop no 5 and that’s where you meet for your trip. They provide you warm/wind resistant jackets for the trip. The tour itself, though very bumpy for the first 15 mins (expected at this time of the year) was a good one. They take approx two hours and cover 5-6 key caves, ending with the gorgeous Benagil caves. Given the size of their boat they could take us inside the caves we got some time inside Benagil to take our photos as well :)

Totally awesome experience and the guides were great!! Gave a lot of great insight into the history of Lagos during the trip out to the caves. I highly recommend them!!
