Myself & my son had a great time - however I did accelerate before setting off - damage to 1 number plate only. When we got back they said 2 !!! No advice to check before we started ! It was literally a pin prick on the second plate - €100 euros cost - be very careful of this company
Owner is incredibly rude and his tours and business are very very disorganized. Views are mediocre other than the castle which you’ll find better castles in the city.
It was very fun, but the boss was rude. We had a problem with our Driving liseces, because it didn’t say on the Booking. He Saïd we Neede to plan better. But the employe Josh was very nice and considerate and found us a solution.
**★★★★★** Did a quad bike tour with Magnibravura in the Algarve and it was an absolute blast (literally — got soaked at every water splash). Josh and his mate were brilliant guides, super knowledgeable, and genuinely lovely when one of our group couldn't keep up due to a health thing — no fuss, just quietly made sure everyone was having a good time. Sand, mud, water, hills — we hit it all, and somehow still had time to admire the countryside without falling off. Great value, well run, and just good fun all round. If you're in the Algarve, stop scrolling and book this — you won't regret it (though you might need a shower after).
The meetingpoint seems a bit chaotic and looks like a car graveyard. But the quads and buggy's are in good shape. You need to fill in some documents and a payment is blocked for warranty. Staff is friendly but pretty straight forward while explaining the rules about driving and do's and don'ts. Which is totally acceptable. The tour itself is fun and varied. Definately worth doing!
Brilliant 90 minute experience. Went with my wife , son and his girlfriend. Hired 2 quad bikes. They were powerful and easy to drive. Very safe with helmets and briefing before. Defo recommend for something different and good value for money. Would have been event better if the journey back had been different and more exhilarating but still great fun. FYI nowhere to store valuables so have pockets with zip and recommend phone holder round your neck to capture moments. And wear old clothes if you have them as you get dusty …
We went quad biking as a couple using 1 quad bike. We both signed as drivers which allowed us both to drive (you need a wristband), changing over at the resting/break point. Remember to bring your driving licence with you. On arrival, there is a €100 deposit required per bike. This can be paid using cash or card. I recommend using cash as it can be collected instantly again at the end of the activity. This is required in protection of their quad bikes. At the briefing they explain everything but they are strong on reinforcing the idea they'll keep this deposit if you break anything and to discourage dangerous driving, which is perfectly understandable. Our tour group had 4 quad bikes and 1 buggy + a tour guide in front and behind. They are easy to drive and the process is explained well in advance, but they are heavy to turn, particularly at lower speeds. The route itself is nice, not very much to see, it is more for the experience of driving the quad bike. However, the route out to the castle (rest break) is more challenging as there is a dirt track with rocks/boulders to overcome. The route back is an easier ride so consider this when choosing drivers if you are sharing the ride. The route back is much nicer and easier to handle and you can actually take in your surroundings. The guides are fine, they don't tell you about the area, they just drive at the front so you know where you're going. They give you a couple of bottles of water for free as well which is nice and very much needed. There is no reminder on return to collect your deposit, and we almost forgot it so bear this in mind! Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty or destroyed as you do get very dusty. Depending on the time of the year you may also get wet, mucky and dirty. It was an enjoyable experience, something different. I wouldn't necessarily say it is a must do but if you're into passing the time in a different way with some adrenaline thrown in then it is worth a visit.
Very well organised. Excellent value for money and we all enjoyed it. Unforgettable experience. Instructors were very good. They ensured our safety first and made sure we all Have a great time.
We went quad biking as a couple originally thinking we had 2 quad bikes but then realised it was only 1. No issues with that, but it could've been clearer when booking. You have to put down a 100 euro deposit before setting off, for each quad bike so be aware of this. They're very big on reinforcing the idea they'll keep this deposit if you break anything (e.g. they'll charge you 50 euro for a plastic sign that probably cost 10 quid that they have zip tied onto the back of the quad bike). Regardless, that's fine, we had no intention of driving dangerously, but it does peak your anxiety. We were in a group of around 10 or so. It's easy enough to get going with the quad bikes but they are a real challenge to steer, particularly at lower speeds. Very heavy steering. The biggest issue is the route that they take you on in the first half of the ride. It is seriously challenging. Huge rocks that you can't avoid will block your path and you're given no guidance on dealing with this. At one point our quad bike nearly tipped over and as a result and I had to put my leg down which has left me with a massive bruise. It also stops you from being able to take in your surroundings if you're driving because you have to concentrate so hard at not tipping the quad over. The guides are fine but don't really put in any work to tell you about the area, they just drive at the front so you know where you're going. The route back is much nicer and easier to handle and you can actually take in your surroundings. They give you a couple of bottles of water for free as well which is nice and very much needed. Getting the deposit back was a bit weird. One woman said I had been drifting the quad. Completely untrue. I was focused on trying to make sure the thing stayed on all 4 wheels! They gave me the full deposit back in the end (as they should given I did nothing wrong and there was no damage to any vehicles) but it felt like they were looking for a reason to take more money from you. You get very messy and dusty. Not a terrible experience but wouldn't exactly recommend it either. The length is as advertised. Around an hour and a half.
The Good: The actual quad bike tour itself was very good, and the off-roading segments were quite intense and fun. If you're solely looking for a wild ride, you'll get it here. The Bad (And why you should proceed with caution): The Vibe: When you first arrive, the place looks like a junkyard. The welcome is incredibly abrupt and aggressive. The Rules & Hidden Fees: They are very keen to take your money the second you get there. They essentially force you to buy €5 bandanas. On top of that, they start the briefing with intense, threatening rules—warning that if anyone in the group crashes, no one gets their deposit back. It felt highly scammy and put everyone on edge. Language Barrier: The guide spoke strictly English and refused to speak any other language. If you don't speak English, you will have absolutely no idea what is going on or what the safety rules are. Safety Concerns for Beginners: There is virtually no warm-up. They throw you onto the main road almost immediately after starting. If you aren't already used to handling a quad bike, this is incredibly daunting and flat-out scary. Verdict: If you are an experienced rider who speaks fluent English and doesn't mind dealing with rude, high-pressure staff, you’ll enjoy the off-roading. If you are a beginner, look elsewhere. The actual ride is decent, but the management and business practices are awful.
WARNING: This company is a scam! We booked a tour for 6 people and paid 165 euro in front for it. After we were given the wrong location and rang them, they told us we were already too late, even though we could still get there perfectly on time. When I then tried to rebook the trip, they didn’t respond via any channel (emails, phone, etc.) The terms and conditions (which state in black and white that you can rebook for 50% of the cost - wich is already outtageous - are therefore a complete lie). These people have literally stolen our money and gave nothing in return except stress and frustration. @Tripadvisor I would strongly advise you to remove this company from your site. I hope they won’t be able to scam any more people.. Companies like this should go out of business.
My hotel guests booked a quad tour at this terrible company... I'll never let other guests book this quad tour at this company again. It's unbelievable that a company like this is still in business. Absolutely terrible. Everything about the experience was awful. All they care about is making money, which is exactly why they enforce such ridiculously strict check-in times (45 minutes before departure!). They genuinely seem to hope that you'll arrive late, because then you're no longer allowed to join the quad tour. Of course, they'll happily let you book another tour—for an additional 50% of the original price. So in the end, you pay 150% for an experience with a company you don't even want to deal with anymore. Tripadvisor should be ashamed to give companies like this a platform. To make matters worse, you're spoken to in an incredibly rude manner by a woman on the phone who simply shouts at you instead of trying to help. Do yourself a favor and skip this company. Choose one of the many other excellent quad tour operators in the area that have more reasonable check-in policies and actually want you to have a great day.
Very good experience, staff were very helpful. We booked two quads but I forgot my licence. They were kind enough to let us swap to a buggy, otherwise I would have missed out. The guide was very friendly
Enjoyable trip through the countryside - mix of off-road, back streets, refreshment break near an old castle. Quads in good condition.
Lots of fun! Guides were kind and friendly. The route was safe but fun! Views from the castle were beautiful.
So much fun. The quad is more difficult to drive than it looks. Best part was driving through the river. It was worth it
Tour did not go ahead!! We turned up to the tour 15 minutes before the booked slot and were told it was too late for us to join the group even though this wasn’t stated in the terms and conditions. Another 2 families arrived after us and were told the same thing. 20 people were charged for the trip and were not allowed to participate. TOTAL SCAM, DO NOT BOOK
The tour guide was amazing, full of energy, funny, very knowledgeable and the best photographer. I would definitely recommend 👌🏾
We booked the 1.5-hour ATV ride and left feeling ripped off and frustrated. The equipment was visibly poorly maintained from the start — one of the ATVs wouldn’t even start before we left. While the guide was trying to get it going, it bumped the unit parked in front of it. It was minor contact, happened entirely under the guide’s handling, and not a single word was said about it before, during, or after the ride. No damage was pointed out, no incident report, nothing. It was only after we returned that they informed us 25% of our deposit was being withheld. Conveniently, by that point there’s nothing you can do about it. We believe this is a deliberate and practiced tactic: allow something to happen in a gray area before the tour begins, stay silent about it throughout, and then hit customers with a surprise deduction at the end when they have no recourse. The Algarve has plenty of excellent off-road and ATV tour operators to choose from. We’d strongly encourage anyone reading this to spend their time and money with one of them instead. We won’t be returning, and we genuinely wouldn’t wish this experience on a fellow traveler.
Absolutely amazing experience with Quintra Quads! We did the 1.5 hour tour and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Riding the quad bikes through stunning scenery was so much fun, and the route was perfect—adventurous but still safe and well-guided. The best part was reaching the incredible 1000-year-old castle. The views were breathtaking and it really felt like stepping back in time. Our guide was friendly, professional, and made sure everyone was comfortable while still keeping things exciting. If you’re looking for a unique and unforgettable adventure, I can’t recommend Quintra Quads enough. We’d definitely do it again.
This was a fun few hours, mixture of off road & on road. Great scenery & fab views from the castle! Recommend arriving well in advance as per the guidance when booking, we chose to take a buggy & it was well worth it, everyone was lovely, highly recommend!
It was simply the best driving experience of all time. It was a thrilling tour of the Algarve countryside. Mateus our guide was caring and adventurous. Adriano was helpful and informative. Thanks for helping crest a great memory.
Everything was disgusting.. we couldn’t do it at all as you have to your full driving licence with you.. spoke to the help team on Viator and got no refund back.. booked for 12 people.. the help team apparently processed for the refund to be instantly denied anything back.. you lot can keep the £320 and hope it make you rich
Great experience- get ready to explore the landscape of Portrugal with an amazing landscape experience!
“Very unfriendly Tour operators very rude guys we arrived at 12 since we are coming from USA and jet lagged. Agree we are on time they don’t accommodate while the ATV leaving in front of us and didn’t even allow us take ride. They are not giving refund and on top sucking more money for next trip. I would not recommend booking this ATV rides“
Warm friendly welcome, explained everything well. Was with my 16yr old who looked it! Great experience and view of Portugal. Enjoy the stop off at the castle and photo opportunity Can be messy so don't wear your best trainers!!!
We(7) turned up late and they were very nice to accommodate us. Bare in mind, you need to always put a deposit down(100 euros) before you can be allowed access to the quadbikes. You do get it back after the adventure. This was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to go back there! I highly recommend this!! It's so good and you won't regret it!!!
I would strongly advise anyone to reconsider booking with Magnibravura. My experience with their customer service was among the worst I have ever encountered, made infinitely worse by the circumstances. I had an activity booked for November 15th. On the very morning of that day, a deadly tornado swept through Albufeira. This was not just bad weather; it was a tragic, unforeseen natural disaster that caused significant damage, injuries, and sadly, claimed the life of a tourist. Despite the severity of the situation, which was all over the news, we received absolutely no communication from Magnibravura. No email, no text, no update on their website. Nothing to say the activity was cancelled, nothing to reassure us for our safety, and no instructions on what to do. In the midst of local chaos and a genuine emergency, their silence was deafening and unacceptable. A basic duty of any experience provider is to ensure the safety and inform their customers, which they completely abdicated. Following this, it was obvious the activity could not proceed. We requested a refund, assuming the company would understand the extreme nature of the situation. Unbelievably, our refund was declined. They are hiding behind their standard "24-hour cancellation policy," refusing to acknowledge that a force majeure event like a deadly tornado nullifies the spirit of such a policy. I have included a news screenshot of the tornado event for context, as it underscores the severity of the situation Magnibravura chose to ignore.
Friendly and efficient check in, quick and efficient instructions and the pace was decent. I would book again, maybe for the longer one next time.
Amazing experience would definitely do it again, amazing staff very polite and also amazing views throughout
Very fun experience, mostly on road, however did drive on some dirt tracks which were the best part. The only thing is that they had someone inexperienced at the front who was setting the pace, so it was quite slow at times. Usually the most inexperienced would be at the back. Apart from that, it was a great trip!
Great experience. Would definitely recommend as an activity. Partly on roads and then off roading. 10/10 🙂👍
Very enjoyable ride, the bandana is very recommended to buy as you’ll get very dirty. The ride is fun and you get to see some Portuguese countryside
Really good off road fun - bit of speed , good terrain and roads mix - recommend. We had a small group so experience may of been different.
I rode the quad which is a motorcycle like device together with my 9 year old. i was at the back which is the worst place to be. The person in front of you is a key factor. I ended up behind a super cautious driver. The device itself was fun in that it was a new experience. The view from the castle was great on the one side.
Great experience. Staff very polite and great at explaining safety use of quads. Actual trip was great starting on main roads before hitting off road (so can get used to quad; they great at directing you in any traffic). Nice stop at castle midway where they provide water. Return journey was faster as we had more confidence. But not too fast which was good! Definitely recommend. Just note the comment on booking that if want a quad each rather than 2 sharing 1 quad then book 4 people instead of 2.
I've enjoyed very much this experience with my girlfriend! She definitely was better in driving than me! The staff was super friendly and professional!
Great experience , as 1st timer I used the buggy which was a lot better . I felt safer on it than the quad bike which my husband used . Please note you go on various terrains , including the main road , narrow roads / tracks and very stony roads . It was quite terrifying in parts but glad I did it . You are encouraged to keep up the speed as I guess it affects everyone else doing it . However I did feel a bit pushed but I guess in the end it worked as I went up to 54mph on straight roads . Would definitely try it again . Bring a mask or something to cover your nose and mouth , plus sunglasses or goggles
The staff were so friendly and were very helpful with any questions that we had. The quad-biking was very enjoyable, would definitely recommend.
Fantastic tour, we had so much fun in the beautiful surroundings. Our guide Samba was the best! Would definitely come again.
The best part of our holiday in Portugal. It was fun and exciting riding the quad bike and regretted booking the 1.5 hours. I would book the 3 hours next time!
Worst experience of my life! Scam! Once there, they demand cash for “deposits” that are never refunded. We were greeted by the police upon arrival. When we asked for an explanation about the deposit (which was never mentioned before), the owner replied: “You shut the f*** up, you’ll be the next one to get screwed.” The police told us to leave the premises and avoid this place. This scam is well known here! We lost our money!
This is a guided ATV tour. It was fun, and the tour guides look out for you, but don't expect to do your own thing. You must maintain a line and can only go as fast as the person infront of you. Still, the offroad courses were rough but doable even for beginners and the speed was good. There was even a sand course where we did two laps. I had a great time.
Very fun experience with friends and family, reasonably priced and great experience - would recommend any tourists in the area as it’s a great way to see the sights.
This was a good tour however if you are new to quad biking you may be better getting a longer tour to see more sites. I was new to this and a little slow so I did not get as much time to see some sites which was okay. I still enjoyed the guide and the trip!
Guides should have been focused on rider safety. We were driving through intersections and needed to watch for any cars, etc. Expected the guide to help navigate properly.
Guy was riding erratically in and out the line of quads, brake checked me on a turn and then a reflective light fell off worth 5 Euros, then he cried wolf and reported it to his boss so I had to pay 100 euro fine. Only lasted 15 mins because of it, was disrespectful throughout the whole thing. Not professional at all.
We really enjoyed this experience. You go riding through the countryside and the views are lovely! When you stop half way they provide you with water and you can have a look around. The guides were so friendly and even took some photos for us. Such a great time!!
Both on and off road, going through hills they were rocky and the sights were beautiful! Recommend to anyone who wants a challenge at quad biking.
