Lovely hotel and service is very good. Breakfast was really good but evening meals are a bit hit and miss in the main restaurant! I The Italian restaurant was excellent . Pricey but excellent. Hotel was relaxing .. pool bar had very good food and service. Lovely staff. A lot of staff were not Portuguese and can’t even speak Portuguese and that is disappointing, because I go somewhere to enjoy local culture and at times lost that experience of the lovely Portuguese culture We enjoyed the stay , loads of pools very close the beach with its own private walkway. Very relaxing hotel. Rooms could do with a freshening up but overall we really enjoyed the hotel

A really lovely and enjoyable stay! I spent 4 nights / 5 days with a friend at this hotel and we had a great time. The grounds are lovely, beach access is simple (down several flights of stairs) and the staff were very nice. The morning breakfast buffet was fantastic (lots of vegetarian and vegan-friendly options), and we enjoyed the sushi restaurant on-site (but would recommend passing on the Italian restaurant). We stayed in a resort-view room which was a good size for two people, though our AC didn't seem to work and the room got quite hot (fair enough, though, as we visited in July). The balcony was surprisingly large and we got a lot of use out of it. The adult pool is great (though getting shade was sometimes difficult). Do be aware that there are no available beach sunbeds for hotel guests without paying a fee - we paid 70 euros for two beds in the front row. It was well worth it, but did come as a bit of a surprise. Also, heads up that the toilet/shower are in what's basically an enclosed glass box with minimal frosted/covered areas. There's sliding doors around the entire bathroom that provide some privacy. Lastly, the neighboring resort blasted music every night, including well after midnight one night. Nothing our hotel could do about it, I imagine, but it was remarkably loud for nighttime. Overall, would definitely recommend!
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at EPIC! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The resort is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and offers outstanding facilities in a stunning location. Every member of the team was welcoming, professional, and genuinely committed to making our stay memorable. A very special thank you goes to Anastacia, the Guest Experience Manager. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made a real difference to our holiday. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and her attention to detail and warm hospitality were truly exceptional. She is a real credit to the resort and made us feel incredibly valued as guests. Thank you to everyone for such an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to return and would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing getaway.
EPIC MISS. I expected much more from a hotel that markets itself as a 5-star property. While the location is unique and beautiful, the accommodations did not live up to that standard. Paying 1000 Euros PER night is insane for this place. Stay away. Especially if your standard of 5* is St Regis, Four Seasons, etc Our “garden view” room was anything but. The terrace faced the property’s main entrance, where delivery trucks arrived early each morning and guests and staff regularly walked past, making it noisy and lacking privacy. The room itself felt dated, with stained carpeting that gave it a worn appearance. Each evening, the hallways had a strong spray paint or chemical odor, which was unpleasant and made us wonder if chemicals were being sprayed on the property. The toilet runs, the shower floods into the tiled floor, the list goes on. When we raised our concerns, the hotel offered to move us to a room one floor above. Unfortunately, it had the exact same view overlooking the main entrance, so it did not address the core issue or match the garden view we had booked. The pool area was also disappointing. There were not enough umbrellas to accommodate guests, making it difficult to find shade during the hottest part of the day. For a luxury resort, this is a basic amenity that should be readily available. Overall, the setting is special, but the rooms, maintenance, amenities, and room descriptions don’t reflect a true 5-star experience.
A good hotel. It’s more like a 4+* than a 5* and certainly not a luxury hotel. But during the high season, the rates were more attractive than at other 5* hotels. The staff are friendly and the service is unobtrusive. The grounds are very well-maintained and green. It’s worth bearing in mind that the hotel isn’t new and hasn’t been refurbished, which is quite noticeable in the rooms and around the hotel grounds. We were given a room described as having a garden view, but in reality it overlooked the roof of the hotel entrance, and the furniture on the balcony was badly worn (a sun lounger with a huge hole in the fabric). It’s also clear that the swimming pools and paths on the grounds are in need of repair. Breakfast is decent, but nothing fancy. One positive point is that they serve omelettes made to order. For those who enjoy sparkling wine in the morning, it’s available there. Otherwise, the breakfast selection is minimal and there are hardly any vegetables. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. If you’re aware of a few of these details in advance, you won’t be disappointed.
