Karam is an excellent tour guide very knowledgeable and friendly. I would highly recommend this amazing cairo night tour.

Karam was a great guide, he was knowledgeable and gave us lots of information about the history of old Cairo. It was great to go throw Moez street and Khan el Khalili market with a guide to make it a bit smoother
Horrible we were rushed though it barely saw anything. With the way they set up the pyramids with busses u don't need to pay $450.
I spent a great evening exploring Cairo’s old town with my guide Karam. I’d highly recommend this tour, especially with a knowledgeable guide like Karam, who will point out interesting aspects of the area which you could easily miss, given its very busy and vibrant atmosphere. Try the freshly squeezed sugar juice.
Great experience driver knew how to navigate traffic in both Alexandria and Cairo. Tour guide was great and knowledgeable.
Our tour to Cairo was more than we expected! Our tour guide Mohamed was very sympathetic and had a profound knowledge of the Egyptian history. Although time was short we had asked him for another stop at the pyramids and he managed also that. He was also very keen to get to see the Egyptian museum with some famous artifacts which he explained . A perfect long day to the pyramids, the sphinx, the museum and some shopping at the very end. Thank you, Mohamed, for this unique experience!
Our guide Karam was exceptional. He was very calm and educated. He brought much needed peace and calmness in otherwise very lively and chaotic street life. Just what we needed for the end of the day. He explained us all the history of Egypt and all the attractions we saw. It was very interesting to listen to him. His energy and knowledge is exceptional. Would recommend this guide and this trip to anyone who wants to experience the night life of Cairo and muslim history.
Our guide Mohammed met us outside the Port of Alexandria, by the mosque, as our group was just a small group and they didn’t get a permit to go all the way inside the port property. It was a bit of a hike but we found him waiting patiently outside as there was a delay in disembarkation. He, together with the driver, made the long ride comfortable and easy. The Pyramids were as majestic as I remembered them but there was a new welcome centre that made going inside the site seamless and more organized and the new bus transport system within the complex was great too! Mohammed was knowledgable and ever so patient. The tour was worth every penny and more as it included the entrance tickets and lunch and a visit to the Egyptian Antique Museum. Lunch was a delicious and traditional Egyptian grilled chicken and the restaurant was conveniently located just outside the archeological site’s exit gate. The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that we didn’t get to see the Egyptian Antique Museum as the other group that travelled with us just wanted to skip it and go back to Alexandria after seeing the The Great Pyramids archeological site. Mohammed also gave us an option to see the new GEM (Grand Egyptian Museum) for extra cost but once again, we were outvoted by the other group but Mohammed felt bad for us. The ticket to the GEM was not included but we were so willing to pay as it would have been the most opportune time to see this incredible new museum but I guess the other guests didn’t feel like it was important to see it. It was very unfortunate that we travelled with a group that didn’t take advantage of the fact that we were already in Cairo. Nevertheless, it was still a great trip!
Our guide Ahmed, and driver(Hami-unsure of spelling), made us feel welcome, and safe throughout our entire journey with them. We were picked up outside our cruise terminal, driven to Giza, had a delicious lunch on the go(seriously yummy), experienced the Pyramids, rode a camel, and learned so much important history from our guide. We stayed at an incredible hotel in Cairo with beautiful views of the Nile, and did a Nile dinner cruise(we would Skip this if we had it to do over again. It was too dark to see the river, and the food was just okay). The next day our guide and driver met us at the hotel and drove us back to Alexandria where we had a delicious lunch with incredible views, and explored the library and St. Mark’s Cathedral. Our guide was amazing and ensured Everything was taken care of-from checking into the hotel, to walking us to the dinner cruise and our driver met us after the cruise and walked us back to the van, to the absolute best seats everywhere we went. He really treated us well, and strived to make this experience the best ever. We were delivered back to the cruise port with plenty of time, and again-our safety was always guaranteed! Do not hesitate to trust this company for a fabulous experience-they truly took care of everything!
We wanted to visit the Great Pyramids and truly experience Egyptian culture and cuisine, but we’d heard mixed things about safety. Before booking, we carefully researched many tour companies, reading both positive and negative reviews, and ultimately chose Rames Tours — they had the most reviews, and every single one was five stars. When we arrived at the port, Ashmed and our driver were waiting with snacks and water, greeting us with warm smiles and excellent English. During the three-hour drive to Cairo, Ashmed shared fascinating insights into Egypt’s history, customs, and traditions, while always checking if we needed food, coffee, water, or rest stops — he knew all the best places to stop. Our two-day excursion was incredible: the Great Pyramids, a camel ride, authentic Egyptian shopping, traditional cuisine, the beautiful Mahamad Ali Mosque, a Nile Riverboat sightseeing cruise, and a 5-star overnight stay. Both Ashmed and our driver went above and beyond to make sure we experienced as much as possible. We not only felt completely safe the entire time, but truly like VIPs everywhere we went. We highly recommend Ramasside Tours to anyone wanting a personal, professional, and unforgettable Egypt adventure.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing Two-Day Tour from Alexandria to Cairo and Giza! Our guide Ahmed picked us up at the port in Alexandria right on time. He and his driver were incredibly friendly and spoke excellent English, immediately making us feel comfortable and welcome. From there, we traveled to Giza to see the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx, which were absolutely breathtaking. Ahmed made sure we had plenty of time to explore and even arranged a camel ride — a once-in-a-lifetime experience with an incredible view of the pyramids! We also visited the Egyptian Museum, which was fascinating. We left it up to Ahmed to choose our hotel in Cairo, and he went above and beyond — we stayed in a beautiful five-star hotel with every amenity we could have hoped for. That evening, Ahmed and the driver took us to a local restaurant on the Nile for a wonderful dinner with a perfect view. The next morning, we visited the Mosque of Muhammad Ali and even had time for a Nile River cruise and an authentic Egyptian lunch before heading back to Alexandria. We made it back to our cruise ship with plenty of time to spare. It was a fast-paced two days, but thanks to Ahmed, we were able to see and experience so much — from ancient wonders to local culture. His knowledge, organization, and kindness made this trip truly unforgettable. We highly recommend Ahmed to anyone visiting Egypt — a five-star experience all the way!
It exceeded our expectations. Karam was fun, friendly and very informative! The driving was very good and safe and we enjoyed the length of the walking tour!
Three of us work on a cruise ship and our only chance to see the pyramids with the book the private tour. Our tour with Paula was fantastic! It was punctual well organized, and he is a very engaging and informative guide due to his training in history and archaeology. The transportation was excellent and his driver miraculously got us back through Alexander traffic jams to Ship on time.
I had a great evening guided by Karam around Cairo. He was such a friendly and attentive host. The tour was at a great pace, he really tailored it to the groups interests and had so much interesting history to share with us along the way. I would really recommend spending an evening in Cairo like this.
Paula, you are such an amazing, kind and professional tour guide! Thanks a million for an awesome and most wonderful trip to Cairo! We did soooo much in two days with the most amazing and professional tour guide - Paula! Our trip wouldn’t be as memorable without Paula watching over every details of our needs and wants! He’s knowledgeable about the history of Egypt and flexible in re-arranging the itinerary accordingly to the guest’s preferences! Paula even followed up with goods I purchased in Cairo to be shipped back to Canada. When one of the bottles arrived broken, Paula made sure I got a replacement from the merchant! Our driver is very skillful! Thank you for taking us to Cairo and back safely in such crazy traffic!! I’ll highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to visit Egypt!
10/10 experience!! Could not recommend more, it was a jam packed day exploring Cairo and the pyramids. We got collected at our hotel and transferred to the pyramids, enroute asked if there is anything in particular we would like to see and do that might not have been listed. We had a good amount of time exploring the pyramids our tour guide took the best photos! Followed by a meal at a rooftop hotel overlooking the pyramids then exploring Cairo and heading to the mummy museum. We had the most incredible day and best experience thanks to our fantastic tour guides.
Incredible visit to Cairo/Giza. Pyramids, camels, burial chamber, Nile dinner cruise, etc. Ask for Paula and Achmed!
This review is for the tour services provided by Ramasside Tours and specifically the tour operator who assisted us in planning our trip to Egypt, Nada Yehia. We'll be visiting Egypt next spring and reached out to Nada and Ramasside Tours this summer based on the recommendation from a friend, who Nada also helped. All communication with easily done via WhatsApp and email. After discussing our travel style, what we wanted to focus on, what was important and not important to us, she provided us with our initial itinerary. From there she graciously made several revisions until we landed on exactly what we wanted. She responded promptly to any questions, provided explanations or suggestions and was very patient with us as we worked through our 16 day booking. Once we agreed on the itinerary, the booking and payment process was seamless. If you are looking to book a trip to Egypt and all it's wonders, I highly recommend Nada and Ramasside Tours.
Nada is amazing, nothing is to much to ask & Ramaside tours go above & beyond for their guests!! I highly recommend them!!
Had a visit to Saqqara and Memphis. My guide Lamia was very knowledgeable, and friendly. We also adjusted my programme by adding Serapeum, school of Egyptian carpets and oils. The tempo of the programme was great and I loved how flexible and accommodative both the guide and the driver were. Lamia explained special details about every place we visited. I really loved her company and she made fantastic photos of me :)!
The tour was indeed very pleasant and enjoyable. It was smooth from the start to the end. The driver picked me up at hotel sharply on time. The tour guide named Lamia was very helpful and friendly. She explained everything about the history of the pyramid and other things. She is indeed knowledgeable and also speak perfect english, which I easily understand. I enjoyed every single moment during this tour. Hopefully to come back again one day and choose her as my tour guide. Not to forget the lunch was very good. One of the unforgettable memories
First I would like to say that the communication with the tour operator was not great as I shared the link they said would open to show us where to pick us up after we left our ship, wouldn't work and I Googled the location and it said it was a 20 minute walk vs. a "3 minute walk" that we were told it would be. We were on a bus with 19 other people and so our tour guide was upset as everyone wanted to do different things that they were promised, just like we were and so were upset and unhappy. Also, on the original tour info I downloaded it said we would be getting a lunch at a restaurant overlooking the Nile, lunch provided, and also a 30 minute Nile Felucca boat ride. We had a pretty dismal lunch which we ended up having to pay for and my sister didn't even eat and so I gave Walid $40.00 for our lunch (US dollars). I had Walid reach out to ask his "Operations team" as I had downloaded the paperwork showing what I paid for and it confirmed the additional things, but they still declined. We ended up seeing the pyramids, had a camel ride and then saw the back of the Spinx as it was closing when we got there and there were armed military police that asked us to leave immediately. We were so hot after our camel ride Walid did buy us 2 waters and said he'd take care of it. At the end of the tour, he asked me to pay for it. I reminded him that I had given him $40 for lunch that was $15 and my sister hadn't even eaten. It was so uncomfortable and just unreal. If you are going to go to the pyramids, reach out to a travel agent and have them book a private tour for you, as the reason we did this is we thought a larger tour was safer, but it ate up so much time trying to herd that many people on and off each stop and buses once we were at the pyramids, it was very chaotic and not a good experience.
We booked the TOP VIP tour package to Cairo/Pyramids from Alexandria, which included a van for 6 persons only. However, instead of the van for 6 persons that was supposed to come, we were picked up by a minibus with 19 passengers. This was not the tour package we paid for but the tour guide, Walid, said there was nothing he could do for us, except for us to file a complaint later. There was no communication from the tour operator, Ramisside tours or TripAdvisor, before or after the tour, about this issue. We feel we have no choice but to dispute this charge with our cc company. During the tour of the pyramids, several people from the group suffered heat exhaustion, could not get back on the bus and needed medical attention. The tour guide stayed with them and so the rest of us had to travel on our own. Walid, the tour guide, did the best he could but he was split on how to handle the situation. This was an unfortunate situation, but understandable. The lack of communication from the tour operator about the downgrade in tour packages was not.
Ramasside tours was very responsive and gave very clear booking instructions. I had a good experience booking my Egypt tour with them.
I was in touch with Nada from Ramasside months before our trip of a lifetime. She was ever patient with all our questions, flexible where we needed to be, and handled the planning phase of our trip with grace, humor, and professionalism. If you’re planning a trip to Egypt, and want to be pampered and come with peace of mind, knowing that you will be cared for on every step of your journey, I highly recommend Ramasside and Nada in particular.
Nada was so helpful in advising abt the best tour to choose from and finalizing our booking (group of 4+ 2 kids). She was following up on a daily basis until the whole tour was arranged according to our needs. Our tour included Cairo, Alexandia , Luxor and Aswan. She is so professional and I strongly recommend to book through her.
I had a terrific tour with Bassam at the Grand Egyptian Museum - he was personalable, knowledgeable, on time to pick me up and very accommodating with all my picture-taking! He answered many of my questions and really has a passion for what he does. Sometimes tour guides seem jaded or bored, but he is energetic and very thorough in his explanations and that made the experience all the better ! He also gave me advice to visit the Coptic Cairo area which I did separately so I am grateful to him for this tip-it was a nice journey to a place in Cairo I was unfamiliar with. I will send my friends to Bassam !
Amazing guide spend his time not only for working but first for His Passion . We stay 1 day tour in pyramid , GEM , sphinx And he speake us with a very good english ! I reccomend professionality, i recomended Paula 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We had the most amazing trip to Cairo with our guide Mina and Ramses tours. I originally booked this as a private tour for my husband and me, but after chatting with a few other guests that were on our cruise (NCL GEM Istanbul, Greece, Sicily, Egypt, and Rome Nov 22-Dec 4, 2023) we expanded to a group of 10. I chose Ramses tours after reading many very positive reviews. The booking experience was easy - we booked the 2-day tour to Cairo from Alexandria that included Giza, the Sphinx, Sakkara, Memphis and the museum. As add-ons, we chose the camel ride, going inside the pyramid, and a dinner cruise on the Nile. We also choose the upgraded hotel option for our overnight stay and we ended up in a super luxurious Fairmont hotel on the Nile (wow!). Ramses asked for a 40% down payment to hold the booking. When others from our cruise wanted to join, it was easy to add them to our group. One couple ended up cancelling just days before the cruise (many travelers were very nervous about the cruise and the ports we were visiting due to the Israel-Hamas war) and they were fully refunded. We had a lot of angst about this tour as we were not sure if NCL would let us stay overnight off the ship. Once on board, we confirmed that while the cruise company does not recommend this, they can't really stop us as long as we are back on board before they leave port. There was also speculation that the Alexandria port might be cancelled due to the war, and many travelers were very fearful. We could not have had a better experience with Mina and Ramses tours. Our guide Mina was very knowledgeable about Egypt's ancient and more contemporary history. And we asked a LOT of questions. He was also very gracious and accommodating to our requests and needs. On the first day we were met just outside the port. We were given instructions on Whatsapp on how to find the guide and driver and it was easy to find them. We were in very good hands with our driver Mohammed who was calm and professional among the chaos that fills the roads and highways in Egypt. At any given moment you can see huge transport trucks sharing the road with a donkey and cart. And people just cross anywhere. Somehow it all works. The drive from Alexandria to the Giza site is about two and a half hours and Mina used the time to fill us in with all kinds of information. That first sight of the pyramids is breath-taking as you try to believe you are really seeing this with your own eyes! We had ample time to explore the site, look at the ancient marvels, and creep through the long and very narrow passage to the empty chamber inside the pyramid. After this we were able to view the Sphinx and then it was time to ride the camels. I thought we might just get up on the camel and pose for a photo, but it was an actual 15-minute ride through the desert to a plateau where you have an amazing view of the three pyramids. There is only one place where there are officially sanctioned camel rides and our guide helped us navigate the various other offers that came our way. The day included a traditional (and delicious) lunch. At the end we were taken for dinner on a boat on the Nile with a generous buffet, cash bar, entertainment from belly dancers and musicians, and, the night we were there, a spectacular full moon over the Nile. Then we were off to the very posh Fairmont Nile for a comfortable sleep and delicious buffet breakfast. The second day we visited the sites at Sakkara where you find the earliest step pyramid, and then the monuments at Memphis. We were then offered a choice between the Egyptian museum or the newer Museum of Civilization (the newest new museum is not yet open). We opted for the Museum of Civilization and we were so glad we did. This tells the story of Egypt from its earliest known evidence of human civilization 35,000 years ago, to the great ancient Egyption dynasties, the early coptic Church and people, the rise of the Ottoman empire and up to more modern day. The museum houses countless treasures and artifacts and you can venture to the basement and down a long, narrow corridor that resembles the entry to a pyramid tomb to view the mummies of famous pharaohs, including Ramses II and Nefertiri. The mummies are displayed in a way that is dignified, befitting their rank as royalty. As we wanted to get back to the ship in time, we opted for a takeout lunch - a typical and tasty shwarma in pita. We were delivered back to the ship with lots of time to spare by our experienced driver Mohammed. This tour was the highlight of our cruise and trip and we are so glad we chose Ramses Tours and had the incredible Mina to guide us. We highly recommend Ramses Tours to anyone who wishes a terrific day trip or private shore excursion.
The organization was top-notch for our group of 14. Our guide Mr. Paula was highly knowledgeable and extremely helpful - he made our trip a truly memorable one! Greatly recommended....
Amazing Tour! We had Paula as our Guide & could not have been happier with our experience. We chose the base hotel & it was clean, safe & spacious. Our driver was impressive! The driving in Egypt takes skill & this man had it. Very grateful for these 2 men for their safe travels & informative knowledge of sites, town & culture. Would definitely book again when returning to Egypt.
We had an excellent time on our trip to Cairo and Alexandria. We got to see and experience all the bucket list things we wanted to see. Ramasside took care of us the whole way! Paula our guide knows his stuff and was a great person with a wonderful personality. He went out of his way to go places we requested in order for our trip to be successful.
Our tour was good. We were lucky to get to the Pyramids on the first day since the second day tours were fogged out. Amir and our drivers did a great job. My husband was thrilled to have a life long dream fulfilled.
It was a great experience. Saw all the important sites, but the highlight was Citadel of Quaitbay, where the Lighthouse was placed and ofcourse the Mediterranean Sea.
Beware when booking with Ramses, their "guarantee" of not needing to pay until the end of the tour is not true. They required us to make a 40% deposit for a tour booking for a cruise ship excursion. Unfortunately, our itinerary was changed and the ship no longer stopped in Egypt. While all of our other tour guides (including those in Israel) promptly issued refunds, Ramses has failed to refund us our deposit. I've booked numerous excursions with numerous tour companies over the years and have never had to write a bad review. However, my experience with Ramses has been so bad that I had to write this review to warn any future travelers. Any promises of satisfaction guaranteed and no need to pay if your itinerary changes are all not true. Consider any deposit paid to Ramses forfeited if your plans change. I would highly recommend looking for another tour guide that is much more trustworthy.
Trip to Alexandria is a great trip that hits all the highpoints. Paula was a great guide and was able to quickly get us through all the sites while also giving us free time to explore. Would recommend for a day trip from Cairo.
We are very thankful for this day in Alexandria. :) We can just recommend our tourist guide, Paula Sa Samir who is a very friendly and motivated guy. He knows and shares a lot with heart. He knows how to maintain good mood in the group. We enjoyed the trip much and it was nice to see so many places in Alexandria in one day. Thank you!😇
Seeing the pyramids once again was fabulous. The van was very uncomfortable. Guide spoke over our heads. Long walk to find the van and guide. Not a great tour
Due to an hour late departure, our guide rushed us through touring the Pyramids & Sphinx (the highlight), so he could make his commission by pushing other guests to make purchases at the tourists trap stores. No free time to explore the museum or Pyramids. Skip the unmemorable lunch - take a sandwich.
Guide was great and made to whole process smooth. He had a wealth of knowledge that made the experience that much greater
This was a great day. I highly reccomend it. We where picked up at the hotel lobby, and driven to kairo. Under the transportaition, the driver stoped many times on our request, if we needed to use the toilet og buy some refreshments. The quide, and the driver, both speaks great english. They where both ful of knowledge, and exccellent to explain it to us. We started at the kairo museum, witch was amazing. After a tour in the museum, we went to pyramidz of giza, witch was mind blowing! We even got to go inside the great pyramid. When we went arround the pyramid park, the guide and driver where very efficient, so we did not need to stay to long in the hot sun. We also went to a exclusive oil store to buy oils for smell, medical use and massage. We went to a art store and bougth some pictures, made by traditional egyptian paper.
We had a personalised tour. Mohamed our tour guide was great, his expert knowledge on all Egyptian history was amazing. Having your own driver, in a nice car with aircon allowed us to do everything at our own pace. Mohamed organised all our entry tickets, with drop off and pick up at the entry of all the sites we visited. I Thoroughly recommend using Ramses.
Mr Karim and Mr Mohamed our driver were very professionals during the full day. Mr Karim is very knowledged and answers all our doubts regarding the Giza Pyramids or the Egyptian museum, but for me the best was that he is able to adapt the tour depending what you are expecting in order to get the best experience. He takes into account your requests and makes this day the best as he can. I would like to thanks also Miss Nada Yehia, the personal tour operator, who makes the booking possible as I contacted with her thursday very late for a friday trip (knowing that it is also a day off in Egypt), and she answered very fast, she was very helpfull and solved everything very quickly.
Mr. Karim made my trip really memorable. He's very attentive, helpful, informative, patient, funny & most importantly, honest. When i return to Cairo/Alexandria next time, I'll surely book with Ramasside & request Mr. Karim to be my guide. Thank you Karim. You are the best.
Smooth and prompt all the way from booking to drop off. Our tour guide Karim was both polite and friendly, had a good sense of humor and knew his stuff. Also our driver was excellent: very calm and professional. Saved a huge amount of time compared to a big group tour especially in crowded places as the pyramids or Cairo museum. Highly recommend.
Visited the most interesting places in Cairo + Nile river cruising as an extra :-) Very professional and friendly guide & The driver was safe. We do appreciate the flexibility that we could influence of what's next. It was a perfect day for us! The tour was really worth the money we paid.
It was incredibly pleasant to be picked up, the tour guide who picked us up in his car was very sympathetic and had many interesting things to say about Egypt. We did the Quad Tour with another young man who showed us the direction and told us what to look for. He always had nice spots where we stopped to take photos/videos. He had taken the pictures and they became VERY beautiful. All the staff were reserved and gave us to know that we can feel comfortable and they are not after tips or anything of the same.
Very nice excursion where we were only 8 that changes excursions offered by the boat to 50... Mini bus with air conditioning, guide very well Recommend
Beautiful experience, professional and helpful guide. I've learned so much. Great driver made me feel comfortable.
I recommend Ramasside tour We enjoyed our adventure Pyramids, camels and 4 wheels in the desert...SUPER!!
