It was a very wunderbar day! The guide we asking for was speaking fluent German, so much polite person, and having big historical knowledge for the Alexandria National Museum and Qaitbay Citadel. Also the tour organizer was super aufmerksam—he calling us on phone during the tour to ask if we are enjoying, which was a very nice gesture from him! Everything was organized so perfekt, no stress at all. I recommend this tour with full heart, and ja, I will definitely do it again! Vielen Dank!

The guide couldn’t speak English. We had to communicate through his phone app, which was nearly impossible. So we cut our tour short and returned to the port. Very disappointed.
Great Family Experience We had a wonderful time on this Alexandria half-day tour with our family. Everything was well organized, from the hotel pickup to the visits to the Alexandria National Museum and the beautiful Qaitbay Citadel. The tour was a great way to see some of Alexandria’s highlights without feeling rushed, and traveling in a small group made the experience comfortable and enjoyable. Our family really enjoyed learning about the city’s history and taking in the beautiful views, especially around the Citadel. Overall, it was a lovely experience and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Alexandria. We would happily recommend this tour to families and anyone visiting Alexandria for the first time. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our tour guide took us to Alexandria with a great driver picking us up at t he right time. On first glance you see the ocean lapping thr shoreline. Visited the Library and Qaitbay Castle. We enjoyed a great seafood lunch. Best experience highly recommend this company, excellent service.
Visited here from United States Had a great time in Alexandria, Abdul was a great driver, very personable and easy to talk to communicate with tour was great and guide was very knowledgeable. Ten out of ten experience would recommend the travel connection.
We were collected late in a shabby taxi. No air con, except opening a window, no water and a driver who could only say hello and good bye in English, anything else on translate on his phone. Collected at 8.00 first stop Alexandria museum, however this doesn’t open until 9.oo so sat in taxi for too long. Have used Viator before and it was excellent, but this was very poor.
Private car around Alexandria, visiting the museum and citadel Both covered in a morning 3 hours or so There is no guide, but you can wander at your own pace , you will get hassled by locals wanting a tip The museum can be covered in 30 minutes, minute compared to the museums in Cairo About an hour covers the citadel The driver I had spoke very little English , I did book an English tour , we managed to converse via translate Just a scratch on the surface of this city
It started out a bit rough due to a misunderstanding about the meeting place, but Atef came through and made the day wonderful. He took us to some beautiful spots around Alexandria and even stopped so we buy an exotic fruit called estha ( atis in our country). To top it off, he treated us to ice cream at the end! Thank you, Atef, for your kindness and for making our experience so enjoyable.
When you book a tour that advertises a “guide,” you expect at least some commentary, insights, and facts about the city. Unfortunately, our “guide” — a friendly man from Cairo — spoke very little English and didn’t share any information about Alexandria or the sites we visited. I’ve had more engaging conversations with regular taxi drivers. The Alexandria National Museum was small and rather run-down. Nothing particularly memorable. Qaitbay Citadel, on the other hand, was a highlight. We were fortunate to meet a guard who kindly showed us around and made the visit worthwhile. We’ve had excellent experiences with Viator in the past, but this tour was a complete disappointment.
Guide had to use notes about each stop and the local history of Alexandria. Van was very over crowded. Seats had to be moved every time we stopped.
The location of pick up is not immediately at cruise port but a 1/2 mile walk across a bridge into downtown, which was not mentioned in the description. We were asked to arrive for the tour at 8am, but the first location, a museum, didn’t open until 9am. We sat in the car for 20 minutes waiting for the doors to open. It’s also important to note that the provider is not Viator, but in this case Travelconnections. The driver was from Cairo, not Alexandria, and needed to use his phone to navigate the streets, while driving. It was an older car, dirty windshield. I was the last person to arrive (late) due to meeting location uncertainty and was given the middle front seat, which had no leg room. A larger individual could not have made that work. The driver had hand-written notes about the two sites we visited.
I come from quebec canada ❤️. For a good price i've booked 2 days accompanied with a guide. Today I went with mamodow, he was ready at 8 am sharp and helped me with anything i needed. We drove to alexandria to visit the catacombs, the citadel, the library, and to eat some seafood at the beach. It's a beautiful city and my experience could not have been the same without mamodow's help. He speaks great english and is very fun. We drove back to the hotel today and tomorrow i booked again with the travel connection tours for a visit of old cairo with their historical/religious landmarks & museums. I recommend the travel connection tours to anyone travelling to Egypt. I will book this company when i come back again ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 5 star service
We came from Houston Texas. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️We had an amazing day trip from Cairo to Alexdria with tour guide who spoke English well. They picked up and dropped off at the Best View Pyramids Hotel. Car was very clean. We went to Fort Qautbay, the library, Big mosque and ate seafood. Everything was amazing! 5 star service. I highly recommend. We felt safe and secure the whole time. When I book again, it will be with The Travel Connection Tours. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I booked with the travel connection tours in Egypt a tour to Alexandria, Egypt and it was outstanding. The driver was very knowledgeable and we didn’t have any issues communicating. He was on time and the vehicle was very clean and we had no issues. The sites we saw were amazing and he always made sure that I was enjoying myself. I felt safe and secure and highly recommended The travel connection tours.
I’m from Montreal, Canada. I booked with the travel connection tours and I stay with best view pyramids hotel. It is the best company. The tour guide came at the right time. Tour guide speaks good English. I feel safe and secure. He picked me up from hotel and dropped me back off. I visited the library of Alexandria and I had a great time and very good price. I highly recommend it for all Canadians. Tour guide is friendly and we had lunch at the sea. We had a great time. I recommend the travel connection tours to Canadians.
I come from United States as a solo traveler. Sab was assigned as my tour guide. My first day he took me to see the Pyramids of Giza and Sphinx. The second day he took me to Memphis, Sakkara and Pyramid of Dahshour. The third day we went to see Mohamed Ali Castle and Cairo Tower. In the evening we went to the Nile River cruise. The driver George and tour guide Sab were very timely in picking me up and very informative and helpful. They spoke very good English. I recommend Travel Connection Tours to anyone visiting from the United States. I stayed at the Four Seasons Hotel. Thank you The Travel Connection Tours! Highly recommend!
I am visiting from Colorado. I did a total of 2 tours with the travel connection tours agency: the Memphis & Sakkara tour and the half day in Alexandria. I had a great experience with my tour guide Hanan, who spoke really good English and was very knowledgeable about all the places we went. If you’re in Giza I would highly recommend the travel connection tours be your go to!
We booked the half-day excursion, since we were in Alexandria for one day by ship. We were especially pleased that this excursion was booked as a "Language - German, guided tour." The process matched the description, although an additional 15 USD per person had to be paid in cash at the bus for the German-speaking guide. The booking was practically far cheaper than the excursion as a whole.
Our guide was friendly but came from Cairo and therefore did not know the sites we visited. He didn't know the roads and used Waze to steer. His knowledge of the sites was limited by a few brief notes written the night before probably as a result of Internet searches. We had requested a visit in French and were paired with an English-speaking group.
I'm from Brazil, Minas Gerais. I’m on my two-week honeymoon and booked tours with Travel Connection Tours. I stayed at the Four Season hotel. I highly recommend this tour! I didn't have to think about anything or have the job of organizing, they do everything! They provide a guide who speaks Portuguese, has knowledge of the history of the city and is super friendly! The car is clean, a 5 star experience! Best tourism company in Egypt! Book the Alexandria Tour! It's inevitable! I booked the 4-day trip with the Nile Cruise from Luxor to Aswan with full board guide - manha coffee, lunch and dinner included! We went to Abu Simbel, Karnak Temple, Phila Temple, Hatshepsut. We returned to Cairo by plane - which we bought with the company - they took us back to the hotel and booked again with them the Egypt Museum, Cairo Tower and in the afternoon took us to the Nile cruise, a dinner on a boat on the Nile! Amazing! We had a great experience! We recommend it to all Brazilians! We also booked for Saqqara, Memphis and Pyramide of Dahshour and the Beach Buggy to see the Sunset! The owner of The Travel Connection Tours checked if everything was okay with us and took care of us! We love having the experience with The Travel Connection Tours! I recommend it to all Brazilians! Prices are very good! Service 5 stars! Guide and Driver arrived at the exact time combined! Perfect 2 weeks!
I come from France, we booked with the company called "The Travel connection Tours". Thanks to this company we were able to do all the activities we wanted. We had drivers available to take us where we wanted. The first day we were at the Egyptian museum, the driver was waiting for us downstairs to take us there. The second day we were at the pyramids, we could visit thanks to a tour guide who explained everything in English. On the third day we were in Alexandria, the driver took us to see the Tower of Pompey, the catacombs, then the large library. The driver then took us to eat at the restaurant where there was fresh fish and shellfish with a sea view. On the fourth day we went to the beach buggy (quad) to see an incredible sunset then we went on a Nile cruise. The guide spoke very good French, everything was understandable. I highly recommend!
The Travel Connection Tours are the best in Egypt. We came from Moscow. Went to Alexandria. Group of 14. Very interesting time. An educational journey. Russian-speaking guide. Speaks clearly. The bass is very clean. Afterwards, we visited the White Desert National Park and the Black Desert in a group of 14 people. Chalk cliffs, ancient lava fields, crystals, luxurious sunset and dawn. Bonfire dinner, Bedouins, the atmosphere is immersive. The state of meditation in this region. The Travel Connection Tours are the best in the country, in my opinion. Good travel cost, adequate. Sunset and dawn are worth this trip, and clear stars.
