We booked this tour at the last minute as we didn’t have a car and wanted to make sure we could get out and see some of the beautiful lakes around Jasper. It turned out to be a fantastic decision. Noah and the other guide (whose name I unfortunately can’t remember) were both excellent. They were knowledgeable, friendly and made the drive so much more interesting by sharing lots of information about the local wildlife, the animals we spotted, the history of the area and the impact of the fires in Jasper. We were lucky enough to see elk, bighorn sheep and even moose! We also got to visit the beautiful Medicine Lake and Maligne Lake, which were absolutely stunning. It was such a great way to see the area, especially without having our own car. The guides really made the experience with their knowledge, stories and enthusiasm. Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Jasper, particularly if you don’t have a vehicle and want to see some of the area’s highlights!

Our guide Yvonne was excellent. She knew so much about the wildlife and personal stories of wildlife encounters were great. We also liked hearing about how fires can be good for the wildlife and forests. Highly recommend this trip. We saw elk, white tail deer, big horn sheep and bears so well worth the trip.
We had a brilliant tour with Lauren - she was so knowledgeable and made the tour really enjoyable for everyone. We managed to see 3 Grizzlies (a Mum and two cubs), a moose, an Elk, a Mule deer, a bald Eagle and a herd of long horn sheep!
We were on the 6:30 am wildlife tour. Our guide seemed like a nice guy, but he was pessimistic about the likelihood of finding much wildlife right from the start. It is understandable that the whereabouts of the wildlife is out of his control but he was very 'unchatty'. When we got off the bus and were chatting to him then, he told us a lot of interesting information.....our trip would have been more interesting had he shared some of his knowledge with the whole bus. As it was, the trip was boring and a waste of money. We decided to do our own tour later that day and saw a moose and a grizzly bear at close quarters. Maybe a rethink about how these tours are organised is warranted.
Very knowledgeable (and amazingly eagle-eyed) driver kept us all engaged fully during the whole outing. Good variety of wildlife seen, together with interesting countryside. As with any safari-type trip a lot of the excitement of the trip came from ‘the thrill of the chase’ and from not knowing what would be coming up next. Our driver (Steve) set clear and realistic expectation levels at the beginning of the journey, then proceeded to deliver more than expected.
We were picked up from our hotel by a very friendly lady driver who took us to various locations around Jasper. We got to see lots of lovely scenery and animals the best of which was a black bear. He was eating Berries on the side of the road. Keeping a respectful distance we had lots of time to watch the bear and take photos. This was the highlight of the trip. We also saw elk, longhorn sheep, bald head Eagles including juveniles. Also Osprey and squirrels. Would definitely recommend this tour. It's well worth it.
The tour guide was knowledgeable. We got to see so many animals that I would have driven right past had I not been on the tour. We got great photos and learned so much about Jasper.
We had a wonderful tour with Yvonne, she was so knowledgeable about the area and told it like a story around the campfire. We were given an amazing historical background of Jasper and area as well as the unfortunate devastation from the fire in 2024. We would highly recommend this fantastic tour.
Very good experience, we saw lots of animals, we've seen beautiful outdoors and we had a great time. Highly recommended
You will see beautiful scenery and very likely wildlife. Our driver/guide Jeff H was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. He is a very nice guy.
Bring a camera because there are many beautiful views in addition to animals! Was super surprised at how much we saw
Fantastic commentary… comfortable transport… although wildlife is unpredictable we saw Moose, Elk, Deer, Mountain sheep and a fox! Dress warmly with good shoes and have your camera ready!
Fun excursion with a great guide. Saw elk, mule deer, White tail deer, fox, long horn sheep and moose. Plus a great tour of Harper National Park and information about the devastating fire.
Our guide, Christian, was absolutely fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable about the local area’s rich history and shared fascinating insights about the recent fires in Jasper — explaining what happened, which areas were affected, and how the forest is regenerating now and into the future. Throughout the tour, Christian also gave us great information about the wildlife we encountered, including long-horned sheep, elk, and eagles. Every stop felt special — we were taken to some truly magical places with breathtaking scenery that showcased the best of Jasper’s beauty. This tour is exceptional value for money and a wonderful way to experience the area. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Jasper!
Excellent experience. Jeff was a great guide and kept us engaged on the bus with commentary about Jasper town and the surrounding nature. Sadly we didn’t get to see any bears but we did manage to see a few other interesting animals. Highly recommend.
The lady (cannot remember her name) was excellent she had a vast knowledge on all the wildlife and lots of other things as she had been doing it for years. Got some great photos.
Excellent trip, our guide Neil was very knowledgeable and we saw lots of wildlife. Deer, elk, moose, bald eagle, and horned sheep. Would definitely recommend.
Ian was an amazing guide ! We learned so much about the animals, and his good driving skills were an extra to make sure we always got the best perspective on the animals ee saw. Ian also had a lit of interesting stories, as well as some very funny ones. Very enjoyable morning we had 🙂
What a wonderful time I had. We went looking for wildlife in a minibus and had an awesome time. It was great to see Elk, big horn sheep, deer and bald eagles. We also visited Medicine Lake and Maligne Lake which made the trip for me and we were taught about the ecology of fire and the different types of antlers. The trip was great value for money and our guide Yvonne was amazing with superb knowledge of the local habitat and everything that lives in it.
Beautiful day to take the group away and, as animals are subject to availability, we were lucky to see scores of deer, elk and bald headed eagles, no moose nor bear. Yvonne was knowledgeable, funny, direct and talkative - the number of tales I have to hold on to is too many but I will never forget B******t Creek and what to do when you meet a bear (we didn't).
This was a very interesting tour conducted by a local guide who really knew the area and was very informative. I think it's misleading to call it a wildlife tour though, it's basically a tour of the main tourist sights of Jasper and if you're lucky enough to see any wildlife on the way that's a bonus. We did see a bald eagle, which was fantastic, and one big horn sheep, but I was expecting to go off the beaten track to places to specifically look for animals, so I was a little disappointed in that respect.
Jan was brilliant tour guide for our trip round Jasper! ( he obviously loves his job!) We were on the wildlife tour with very young children and had a great time (although do recommend taking your own car seats). Jan was super knowledgeable, friendly and funny and made the tour very enjoyable despite not seeing all of the wildlife ( that’s the nature of the game though!) . We saw more wildlife on this tour than we’ve seen in our 5 days in Canada despite it being winter. Was also great to see some lakes and get the history of them and the whole of Jasper too. Very informative.
Because we went in winter it was quiet and we ended up with just the two of us and our guide (Lutz - who was very friendly and knowledgeable). We saw elk, sheep and a moose and her calf crossing the lake. The scenery was amazing and we were very lucky to see lots of wildlife. We also learnt about the fire and how Jasper will recover.
Pete was a great guide. He had lots of information to share and he never rushed us. I would definitely recommend this trip.
I didn't mean to join this tour--I was a motorist on Hwy 16. I noticed their big black bus unloading it's group in front of the goats, on the highway and just steps away from them. It seemed really unsafe and surprising. I hope this is an isolated incident and the company doesn't encourage this kind of thing in their guides!
We managed to see all the species of deer that are in the national park, even a moose that was trying its best to hide behind the trees. Tried really hard to see a bear but it was one of those days when they didn't want to be seen! We got a good view of a bald eagle on the nest and the pictures of the big horned sheep were amazing. Jeff, our guide, took time to explain the geology of the park which we found very interesting
Sebastian is an excellent guide, he told us many interesting facts and stories about the animals and the national park. We saw many wildlife wandering around the park. I would highly recommend this experience!
A MA ZING! This was a brilliant way to spend a few hours, plenty of wildlife spotted. We saw moose, elk, deer and big horn sheep. Our guide had plenty of information about the animals and the national park! He knew all the best places to spot the animals and there was plenty of time for pictures. We also visited medicine lake, pyramid lake and maligne lake!
Great day seeing many different animals. Guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. We had older folks with us who could enjoy nature without too much effort.
Lutz was a fantastic guide! He kept things interesting and was knowledgeable. I enjoyed his sense of humor too. The animals and scenery were what I came for. I highly recommend this tour. It was well worth the price.
We saw a lot of animals but the best part was seeing a bear. the guide was really good and he explained us a lot of interesting things!
We only had a couple of days in Jasper and decided to go on the wildlife discovery trip. Stephen, the guide, was very knowledgable about the animals and where they might be found. He drove to Medicine and Maligne Lakes where we saw bald eagles and moose tracks, but no moose. We also saw elk, big horned sheep and a coyote while travelling there.
Unfortunately we didn’t see too much wildlife, but we did have a great time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot! We were able to stop for some great photo opportunities. Bus was comfy and clean.
Lovely tour guide with on time pick up. As it was winter expectedly we were limited to what you could see but we did see elk, mountain sheep, bald eagles and white tailed deer. Dexter our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and used the opportunity to take us round the many of the lakes out of reach if you're without a vehicle in Jasper
Amazing guide, very informative. We learnt heaps .. lov3d the antler talk and handling the antlers and other items. I was surprised how heavy they are.
Unlucky we didn't see many annimals. The view of the rocky Mountain were realy amazing and the guide was realy entertaining with many stories to tell
Our tour guide was amazing with a lot of knowledge about the wildlife and surrounding area. We had seen a lot of animals and the views were incredible.
Had a great time learning about all the animals and the mountains’ history. Yvonne was amazing! A great way to see the area and some wildlife
Dieter the tour guide was great. It was a snowy day so not a lot of wildlife out but was very enjoyable.
I recommend 100%! Thank you Jeff for your sympathy and your expertise. We saw a lot of beautiful landscape and wild life wild learning a lot.
One of the worst adventure trips I've ever paid for. The bus had a huge crack in the front window and the window next to me had much water damage and no one could see out of it so it blocked my views. The bus itself was dirty and the windows had many dirt spots. The driver barely spoke and after explaining to him I paid for a tour, he said a few words but repeated himself as though he didn't know the information. So disappointed.( it was not his fault that there weren't many animals around but he could have spoken about their habitat, or???)
Seeing the animals in their own environment, and beautiful scenery. Our guide was very informative, and made the tour enjoyable. We saw elk, rams, mountain goats, deer, and Eagles.
Even though it was early in the season, the gentlemen doing our tour was very nice & took us to places where we were likely to find wildlife. He did an excellent job describing the different areas that we were traveling through also, that we deeply appreciated. Thanks for a great experience.
Unfortunately, this wild life adventure was very dissatisfying. The bus that picked us up had a huge window that was defective. We could only look out of one side. The rest of the windows were filthy too. The driver barely spoke. I understand that is a gamble if wildlife will appear but he could have told us stories. It was a waste of money.
Great tour with a knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Definitely value for money! Seeing a nesting bald eagle was a particular highlight :)
We did a tour in mid April with Warren and to be honest it was one of the best experiences you could have in Jasper. Warrens knowledge of the area is second to none. He is a passionate Canadian proud to show off his country. We are Australians who have never seen such an amazing environment. It is a must do when in Jasper. Lee and Katrina.
First of all, we started off with a beautiful sunny day. It was a treat to be picked up at our hotel, so we didn't have to drive. We saw deer. elk, and a pair of bald eagles. Our guide drove us to the site where the rams are often sited, but they were not there. He drove all the way to Maligne Lake looking for moose, we saw fresh track, but that was it. The whole trip he told us interesting stories and fascinating facts about the local wildlife, he was so passionate about all the animals, and so knowledgeable, At one stop he got out various antlers and a beaver pelt, so interesting to see them close up. I would definately recommend this tour.
The tour guide was excellent, very knowledgeable of the animals and all concerning the area. We saw big horn sheeps, elks, coyotes, bold eagles, and a moose.
Yvonne was very knowledgeable and interesting. Seen a pair of wolves out on the ice. She is passionate about her work.
Great tour all around, got to see lots of wildlife and our guide was very informative about the history of jasper and the animals! Highly recommend.
