Wilderness And Wildlife Hiking Tour - 3hr Hike

Aiden was our guide and he was great! He met us as scheduled and had selected a tour that we could start right from the Rec Center! The information and stories he shared helped make our visit to Canmore more interesting and fun!

We had a wonderful 3-hour hike with Isla right after we arrived in Canmore. It was supposed to rain, and Jacob was nice enough to call us and offer to rebook. We had a tight schedule the rest of our trip and decided to risk it. The weather turned out to be beautiful! We were given some choices of where to go which took into account how muddy the trails might be (much appreciated). We ended up doing an out and back to an old mining town, and it was a lovely trail with beautiful views. Isla was very knowledgeable and gave us information about the history, area wildlife, and plants/trees as we walked. She also had a great recommendation for a beer garden to check out after we finished. I would love to come back and try another hike in the future!

Jacob was amazing! He was very patient with our group. He was very honest about the first tour that we had booked with him and accommodated the tour for us to be able to see views and get our hike in. His stories are super interesting so please listen to what he is saying.

Ben was a knowledgeable and engaging guide, and we thoroughly enjoyed the hike that began at the Banff Gate Mountain resort and ended up in a stunning mountain meadow surrounded by mountains on 3 sides. Ben did a great job pointing out the local flora (we didn't see much fauna) along with their ecological and historical importance. He also emphasized safety (e.g., make sure you have bear spray, especially during the fall season), and that hiking should above all, be fun! Thanks, Ben!

Great guide and pleasant hike but nothing special. Really surprised no wildlife at all, not even birds! Low level so no real views but guide was knowledgeable and made quite a dull walk much more interesting.

Explored a beautiful mountain trail with our knowledgeable guide Ben. We enjoyed walking through the flowered meadows while Ben taught us about the local wildlife. Entirely delightful

Jacob was an excellent guide who captured our interest with his expertise and stories. We thoroughly enjoyed the scenery, and definitely felt like we were on trails less travelled. Although we didn’t see any wildlife, Jacob pointed out many visible signs of bear or cougar activity.

10/10 recommend this tour!!! Jacob knows so much about the area and was flexible on the day of to take us to different spots to make sure we had the best time possible! It was a small group (me, my fiancé, one other person) and we had a fantastic time!!! It was BEAUTIFUL weather (we went in march). Jacob had ice cleats for us to use because the weather was just cold enough that we would need them (and they came in handy!) I can't wait to come back in the summer and take another tour and see how different it looks! Do yourself a favor and book this tour!!! It's a guaranteed great time! He also has deals with local companies and gives you coupon codes... and those were also fantastic recs to eat!

Our tour guide, Jacob, was unbelievably knowledgable about all of the nature around us as well as the history and general Banff advice. We got unlucky and did not see any significant wildlife, and even so had an incredible experience on his Wilderness & Wildlife Tour. I highly recommend this tour, especially if he is running it. We went on an extremely busy day and he took us on beautiful hikes in undiscovered areas.

Our family had a great time on this hike. Our tour guide, Jacob, was very knowledgeable, friendly and funny. Would highly recommend as an afternoon family adventure.

We truly enjoyed our Wilderness and Wildlife Hike with Jacob even though we did not see any wildlife ;-( Jacob was very accomodating as we had to reschedule our hike and we spent a very nice 3 hours.
