Audio worked two times out of many where it should have. Tried to fix many times. Gave up because I wanted to get on with the tour.

Itinerary
As the audio guides play commentary based on your gps location, you can create your own itinerary along the tour route(s) to match your interests and schedule. You can drive the Icefields Parkway in either direction. Or you can use our trip planners for our suggestions on half, full or multi day itineraries. Some of the many highlights are listed below;
Located alongside Bow Lake, Crowfoot Glacier is a fine example of a hanging glacier and looks like it is stuck onto the face of the mountain. The name comes from how the glacier was shaped like the foot of a crow. The Crowfoot originally had 3 toes, but as the glacier has shrunk, it now has just 2 toes.
Bow Lake is fed by the Bow Glacier which sits above it. And all of that water running out of the lake becomes the Bow River which runs through Banff National Park and into Calgary and beyond. A historic lodge sits beside the lake, Num Ti Jah, which was built by Jimmy Simpson, one of Banff's legendary early guides. Because only relatively small trees were available, the hand-built log building was constructed in an unusual hexagonal shape to begin with. In its time it was the largest log building in the world. Bow Lake is an excellent photo stop.
An impressive cliff that we drive under as valley narrows, the Weeping Wall oozes snow melt from above and trickles though the rock. This process continues through the winter too, making for excellent frozen falls for ice climbers to scale.
Located at Bow Summit is the simply amazing Peyto Lake. Despite being a full hour drive away from the Columbia Icefield, Bow Summit is the highest point on the Icefields Parkway. The elevated viewing location, the surrounding mountains, and being glacier fed, makes Peyto Lake perhaps the most superbly coloured, mountain lakes you will ever see. Fingers crossed for a sunny day, as the more sunshine, the brighter the colour.
Located close to the Icefield Centre, Parker Ridge is a popular short but steep hike. The reward for walking to the edge of the ridge is the superb views of the Saskatchewan Glacier which fills the valley behind. Because of the elevation of 6,000 feet, the hike may be more tiring than you would expect. Just take your time, and take frequent rests if feeling short of breath. The view is worth it and most people will spend about 1 1/2 - 2 hours enjoying the experience. It is common to find snow on the trail year-round.
Located around halfway between Jasper and Banff on the Icefields Parkway, the Athabasca Glacier is one of the route highlights and one of the most accessible glaciers in the world. Located around halfway between Jasper and Banff on the Icefields Parkway, the Athabasca Glacier is one of the route highlights and one of the most accessible glaciers in the world. You can take in the views from the Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre or book a Columbia Icefield Adventure Tour which will take you up onto the glacier on an Ice Explorer, a giant all-terrain vehicle.
The Athabasca Glacier is one of the outflows from the larger Columbia Icefield, and it's one of the most accessible glaciers in the world. You can drive right to the toe of the glacier, watching the markers that show how far it has retreated over more than a century. The Columbia Icefield Discovery Centre is where you can book the Columbia Icefield Adventure Tour which will take you up onto the glacier on an Ice Explorer, a giant all-terrain vehicle. This ticket also includes a separate bus taking you to a glass bottomed SkyWalk out over a canyon, and you'll need to allow at least 3 hours for the combined experience. If you're short on time, you can book the SkyWalk by itself.
Sunwapta has one of the prettiest settings of the many impressive waterfalls of the Canadian Rockies. Outstanding viewpoints are accessed within just a minute of the car park. Those with a little more energy will enjoy exploring the 3km loop trail that explores to peaceful pools lower into the canyon and can be completed easily in an hour.
Located at the Jasper end of the Icefields Parkway, the Athabasca Falls cut through very hard quartz-rich rock, cascading their way through a narrow canyon. A spectacle at any time, during the spring thaw, snow melt delivers an incredible amount of water over the falls for an impressive show.

I’ve never tried an audio tour before so I had some doubts but the guide was very informative. I liked that the narration was different in each direction along the parkway. Great deal for $20.
Great information Glad we could hear the history
We were very happy with our "guide". He was funny and very informative. I would definitely recommend purchasing this to enhance your jpurney.
This guide was awesome! It made riding hours through the Icefields Parkway so much more interesting. What was especially interesting were the stories of the people who first explored and why they came and the difficulties they faced. I highly recommend.
I have told you enough times that with out WiFi it is worthless. Now leave me alone. Lesson learned I guess but will remember for the future rather I will use you again
This never worked. I feel scammed. It asked for a code, I submitted it, then it asked for another code from another device which I didn't have access to...
Excellent self guided trip. So informative in a fun way. Really well explained and helped us choose where to stop. Really easy to use. We then upgraded to include lake Louise and Yoho NP
Very helpful, excellent informative commentary.
We would have driven past some incredible experiences without this guide. We also learned how the Canadian Rockies were created, many interesting nature facts and a little bit of history. I will be hoping that a guide along will be available for my next road trip.
We were a family of 6 driving the Icefields Parkway in a minivan. This guided program was fantastic. Because it is GPS-guided, the narrator knows where you are and you can pause anytime. The guide gave us a lot of information not just about the sights we were to see, but also about the history of the road itself, the original exploration of the area, the wildlife, etc. Highly recommended. Addendum: the Icefields Parkway drive is amazing! Allow at least 10 - 12 hours for this.
Perfect experience! Really great product. Will use for my next trip.
This tour was awesome! We learned so much about the Icefield Parkway! We even listened to it both ways, to Jasper and back to Banff! I would highly recommend this tour!
Being 80 years old it took awhile for me to figure it out but when I did I like it so far. My wife and I leave from Western Wisconsin September 2 on a 12 day roadtrip. We are very excited
This was very entertaining and informative. The interface is great and we all liked the experience of driving and listening.
I would highly recommend this audio tour. We used it while traveling from Lake Louise to Jasper. Lots of great information and directions to fabulous points of interest. We would have missed these otherwise. The tour is GPS controlled so it knew exactly where we were at all times. Very easy to use – played through CarPlay.
Enjoyed the narrative and interesting history as we drove. Also the clear explanation of distance and difficulty of hikes.
Enjoyed listening to the commentary while driving. Very informative and interesting. Nice to learn both history and facts.
The audio guide was great. It allowed us to go at our own speed and provided interesting information.
Great audio tour along the drive
My husband and I used this audio tour of the Icefields Parkway both directions (Lake Louise to Jasper, then Jasper to Lake Louise). The tour guide has a very soothing voice which made the drive on the 2-lane road less stressful. He pointed out lots of points of interest we were approaching before we got there. It gave us time to exit the road versus passing them by. We would have missed some great stops without the app. There is no cell service on the Icefields Parkway. However, the app works using a satellite signal so it's not an issue. We turned it on before leaving Lake Louise the one direction and before leaving Jasper the other way when we still had cell service. The app kicks in at at the entrance to the Parkway on each end. There are lots of helpful tips included too (ex. if you start to get on the Parkway with less than 3/4 tank of gas it tells you to turn around and fuel up - only 1 gas stop on the Parkway). We met a family on one of our tours and told them about the app. They purchased it before they finished completing the other tour (they were driving from Jasper to Lake Louise that afternoon). I'd highly recommend this app to anyone making this drive.
No issues with the app and connecting to our rental car. The audio tour worked perfectly and was easy to navigate. Definitely was worth the 20$ I spent. Very informative and gave lots of history and information about the mountains and good places to stop along the way.
Loved all the details and history of the ice fields parkway. My husband is a big history buff and he really enjoyed it. The narrator has a great voice. We will definitely be doing more tours like this!
We nicknamed the narrator Jasper and truly enjoyed his commentary as we traveled the I Icefields Parkway. It was very helpful to know when to turn off and how long to expect to visit each area. We used the guide both directions and learned more through repetition. I would recommend this guide and will use guide along in the future.
Very informative and a must 👏 detail description of the parkway. Hidden unknown stops. Do happy to have discovered this app and at a very reasonable price.
Really enhanced our family’s enjoyment of the icefields drive, highly recommended!
Overall we really enjoyed the tour. It was informative and well timed. We enjoyed the mix of content and the recommendations were decent.
Thank you so much for providing this tour. It was really a plus to have the onsite information, also to be able to use it both directions on the Icefields Parkway.
We drove the Icefields Parkway last week and were so pleased we had downloaded the audio guide. We were talked through the history and geology of the mountains. We had viewpoints and places of interest flagged up in good time to give us plenty of notice to turn off the road to them. Overall, the commentary vastly enhanced our whole experience. We only had time to drive half the road and were even more impressed to find the commentary was different on the return journey. If you are intending to drive the Icefields Parkway, I would totally recommend this as great value for money.
The Icefield Partkway audio tour was wonderful. First the narrator's voice was pleasant and engaging. The content included geological, historical and cultural information. All chatter in the car stopped to listen in when we approach a site included in the tour. Everyone agreed it added a lot to our drive.
We listened on the way to Jasper and on the way back. Great advice on hikes helped an elderly relative decide which hikes to go on.
We listened to this on the way back from the Columbia Icefield location because we forgot to download for the way up. Lots of fun facts and stories but also pauses to take in scenery or suggestions of where to pull over to experience more or take photos.
We have loved having GuideAlong as our guide on many road trips. A great balance of humor, local information and history. The side trips and hidden spots recommended have all been amazing amd the must visit lists provided have never led us astray! Highly recommended any of the tours to have a friendly , informative voice as you drive along for the ride. Enjoy Maui, Western Canada, Icefield parkway, and Niagara falls!
It was like having a guide sitting in your car, explaining everything! We highly recommend it. It made the drive so interesting!
This worked great. If we had done the drive without it we would have missed so much! Some history and great steps along the way.
Great balance of background of area, points of interest and needed information. This area is breathtaking, historic and worth every minute of the journey
Great to listen to instead of digging out a guidebook and tracing to stay focused on driving. GPS location worked very well and works in both directions.
I am so thrilled that I used this. There is so many things to see and do. It's easy to get overloaded. This tour was awesome , pointed out the places to see and hikes and let you know the difficulty level. I feel like I saw everything in this trip. I will be downloading the one for Banff
Great information , highly recommended. The information provided was useful and helped us navigate our journey better.
This audio guide worked brilliantly on our recent trip. I'd downloaded it all before hand (app and tour) and it worked seamlessly once we arrived at the start of the tour and throughout. We learnt lots more about the area from 'The Dude' that really added to our experience - made a couple of stops that we might otherwise have driven past. Would definitely recommend and a bargain at £10. We used it both heading North and then again the next day when driving back South down the parkway.
A great history lesson of the area travelled. The drive itself is beautiful and the stories described provide even more life to it.
This guide was great company on the Icefields Parkway.. identifying where we were and giving appropriate information in an easy manner. Would buy some more of these for other similar trips.
We loved the narrators voice and all the information he gave us along the way . The program was very easy to use.
Best money we spent on the trip to Banff and Jasper. The app was easy to use and very helpful. I was amazed how well the audio commentary matched the locations even where cell service was non existent . You all get the benefit of getting driving directions to the most popular locations. There were many tips you may not find anywhere else. We also noted how current the info was as changes to access Moraine Lake were just changed this year and the guide knew it.lots of trivia and history of the area
Provided light historical and geological background while pointing out the most beautiful hikes and viewing areas during our drive.
This self guided tour was exceptional. It enabled us to go at our own pace, learn a little fascinating history, and visit the real highlights along the parkway from Banff to the Icefields that we might otherwise have missed. An unbelievable value at $7.99!!
Our whole family enjoyed this audio tour. It helped us decide where to stop and made our day super special.
You download the app to your phone - enter the payment code - and then drive to somewhere on the route, the app using the phone GPS to keep you tracked. This was guide is ESSENTIAL and low cost. The naration was very informative but light and humerous. You travel at your own pace the guide telling you what you should see and those you must not miss. The hire car we were in used Apple CarPlay and the naration came through the car sound system quietening the radio as required faultlessly. Absolutely brilliant.
This audio tour is a MUST for those making the journey on the parkway. The scenery is amazing but we would missed so many stops to see waterfalls, hikes and views without the information. The quizzes along the way made us feel like Jefferson was along with us. Also appreciated the history lessons and facts. Just a note, had 2 geologists in the car and you may want to review some of the geology facts. Otherwise, we loved this. Great investment!
We used the guide for the glacier route. Easy to understand English and interesting information. It really made this road more interesting.
