I started with a tour in Banff. It was my first guided tour in Canada. The transportation was on time, and our guide was calm and helpful. During the drive, he shared stories about local places and famous people from the area. We had enough time to explore the lakes. Our guide was attentive and always ready to help, whether it was taking photos, answering questions, or giving us extra time at some stops. He also provided candy, snacks, and water for everyone. I really enjoyed the trip!

Itinerary
Castle Mountain is a mountain in the Canadian Rockies that is part of Banff National Park. It has a castle-like appearance due to erosive processes.
Mount Rundle and other mountains could be seen from this ideal location along Highway 1.
Cascade Mountain is likely the most iconic mountain in Banff National Park. It is a mountain in the Bow River Valley National Park, near the town of Banff.
Vermilion Lakes is make up of three stunning lakes. It reflects the majestic Mount Rundle, which rises over the town of Banff.
The historic building overlooks the turquoise waters of Lake Louise which is surrounded by majestic nature.
a glacial lake within Banff National Park. The vivid turquoise waters of it have earned a worldwide reputation and the Victoria Glacier is the majestic mountain backdrop. Nevertheless, many are unaware that during winter, the lake exhibits breathtaking beauty, turning into a wonderland of ice and snow. You can enjoy ice skating on the lake.
What makes this place additionally special is the fact that it can only be accessible for a brief time each year (only open from June to early October). Moraine Lake is the majesty of nature, this strikingly turquoise-blue Moraine lake sits in the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Only a short walk from the parking lot to the lake. This is one place you definitely cannot miss in Banff. * Visit Moraine Lake from Jun to Oct 13th, visit Bow Lake in winter
The lower spiral tunnels in Yoho National Park were the ingenious early 20th-century resolve to climb or descend the impossible 4.5-percent grade to cross Kicking Horse Pass by train. If you are lucky, you can watch long freight trains cross themselves as they travel the tunnels in different directions at the same time.
Having lunch here for 1 hour
Located in the center of Yoho National Park, Emerald Lake's vivid emerald color is derived from tiny glacial debris particles called rock flour. This lake is unique because of its gorgeous green water. It is impossible to describe the verdant surroundings and snow-capped Rockies as a backdrop. In winter, the lake was largely frozen in ice, and the landscape was blanketed in untouched snow.
Located eight kilometers south of Emerald Lake Lodge, Natural Bridge is an impressive natural rock formation that spans the flow of the Kicking Horse River west of Field. Visiting Natural Bridge in the winter is even more incredible. When the roaring waterfall freezes, ice spikes allow you to walk onto the frozen Kicking Horse River and see the Natural Bridge from below.
Peyto Lake is a glacier-fed lake in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. This is one of the most popular lakes in the Banff National Park. The lake gets its stunning blue color from the glacial rock flour that flows into it from the surrounding Peyto Glacier. In winter, it will be frozen and covered in snow.
(Winter only )Bow Lake is one of the largest lakes in Banff National Park and it is a glacier-fed lake, that is incredibly gorgeous. Its turquoise coloring is due to glacial till (it’s the alternative to Moraine Lake from Oct 14th to end of May)

Kenneth was a fantastic tour guide! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful throughout the trip. We had a wonderful time visiting all four beautiful lakes, and he made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend Kenneth for anyone looking for a memorable tour! 😊
Ray provided timely departures, historical facts, enjoyable stories about legendary founders of the areas, and was a safe and friendly driver. The areas were idyllic and weather helped make each stop pleasant and picturesque.
Ray was prompt, informative of each location and history of the areas; Safe driver and provided exceptional customer service to each patron.
We took the 4-lake tour in September and honestly couldn't recommend it more! Our guide Ken was fantastic and so engaging. His passion for his job and for Banff really shone through, making the whole experience even more special. Despite the weather not being the best on the day and Lake Louise being mostly hidden by fog, we had such a wonderful time that we ended up booking the half-day tour to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake before we left! Pick-up and drop off were seamless. An amazing experience from start to finish.
You can really tell this tour was designed by people who genuinely care about their customers. Water, snacks, and candies were provided, which was such a thoughtful touch! Our tour guide, Boyd, did an amazing job handling all the driving and sharing information throughout the day. He was also attentive to the group, always ready to help, making sure everyone was taken care of, and helping us take photos. I really appreciate all his hard work, as doing both the driving and talking for an entire day must be exhausting. The tour was well-paced, allowing us to visit both Lake Louise and Peyto Lake and other 2 lakes in one trip, which is a big plus since not many tours cover both spots together. Overall, a thoughtful, well-organized, and enjoyable experience!
Great package for all prime lakes! Must visit at least once. Tour started on time. Ray was amazing!!
This tour was fabulous. The scenery was stunning. We visited Lake Moraine on the last day of the season and the views did not disappoint. Eoyd was very attentive to everyone in our group and he knew all the best places for photos. Highly recommend.
The tour was great. Got to make lots of stops and see lots of beautiful sights. We had lots of time to take photos and experience the areas. I have been to the banff area many times and it’s always the easiest on a tour. The only thing I would change is many not mentioning so many deaths that have happened in the area lol every location seemed to mention a death. (Old couple with dog was killed by bear, man fell off the bridge and died etc.) I could have done without so much of that 😬
We had an amazing time on the 4 Lakes Tour with Boyd! He was friendly, helpful, and made the whole experience enjoyable. The tour was well organized, and we got to see the beautiful Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Emerald Lake, and Peyto Lake. Thank you, Boyd, for making the trip so memorable! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Alberta. 😊🏔️
We had a great time on the tour. Our guide, Ray, was friendly and professional. He shared interesting information about the different spots we visited, making the experience both enjoyable and informative. Everything went smoothly, and we really enjoyed the tour. Highly recommend!
book this!!!!!! we had the best time seeing all the lakes and took lot of pictures. honestly, this was one of the best day of my life. i want to thank our driver/guide Ray for his time and sharing his knowledge and history about the lakes and places. we were able to see lot of places in one day!! def worth the money and worth booking with rockies journey!! thank you Ray again.
The 4 Lakes Tour was an absolutely incredible experience. The views were breathtaking and at times, it was hard to believe places this beautiful were actually real. From pickup to drop-off, everything was seamless and well organized, making the entire day completely stress-free. A huge shoutout to our guide, Jesse, who was fantastic. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely funny, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful day!
It is really fine to go to tour alone. Kenneth, tour guide, always take photos of you and tell the history about Banth.
Such a wonderful experience! The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, and our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire day enjoyable. Every stop offered something beautiful and memorable to experience. I’m so glad I chose this tour and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Banff!
Great tour and Ray the tour guide was excellent, the easiest way to see the lakes as no need to worry about parking or getting a shuttle and each lake was busy
Great experience with a great tour guide. The time spent at each place was more than enough and we had a break to get some food at lunchtime. The guide helped take pictures and made sure we had a great time
The lakes are stunning and the scenery majestic. In addition, our guide Keneth was great!!! We love him. However, there was confusion about the tour start time.
Very well done. Enough time to see and enjoy the 4 lakes without making the outing too long. CW was very helpful with pointing out the perfect view points and photo ops. He even joined us on our hikes.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely wonderful experience with Rockies Journey! The entire tour was beautifully organized, and visiting four stunning lakes in Alberta—Peyto Lake, Emerald Lake, Lake Louise, and Moraine Lake—made the trip truly unforgettable. A special shout-out to our splendid tour guide, Jessie! Jessie was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and incredibly attentive throughout the journey. The stories, insights, and local knowledge made every stop even more enjoyable. Jessie’s warm personality and professionalism really made the experience special. Thank you, Rockies Journey and Jessie, for an amazing and memorable adventure. Highly recommended.
We traveled in September so the lakes were not as crowded. Stunning views at every lake. It was great not to have to deal with the traffic or the parking. Our driver was called CW. So friendly and helpful.
Our guide Boyd was great! He took great photos of us throughout the day and gave us a lot of information about the places we passed by and visited. Highly recommend!! We were picked up in Banff around 8:45am and got dropped off around 5:30pm. Lunch was around 1pm, and we had an hour which was plenty of time. Boyd did a great job taking us to places at times that were not so crowded. Snacks and water bottles were provided as well.
We had an incredible experience on this tour. My mom and I booked a day trip to Banff to visit the four lakes: Peyto, Emerald, Lake Louise, and Moraine lake. The weather this day was very unpredictable with chances of showering but our tour guide Jesse made it up to us. He made sure that we visited Peyto and Emerald Lake first and prayed that it wouldn’t rain in the afternoon. When we were in Emerald Lake, the rain stopped but 10 minutes later it started pouring and Jesse went his way out to go back to the tour bus to grab all of us umbrellas. Along the way, Jesse told us interesting stories and facts about all the lakes, and even took us to some hidden gems spots when we were at Emerald Lake. We got very lucky in the afternoon when the sun was out and Jesse helped us take pictures. I would 100% book another tour in the future!
We had a fantastic experience on the Four Lakes Tour with our guide, Boyd. Although he had only recently joined the company, he was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. Throughout the drive, he shared so many interesting facts about local wildlife, the natural environment, and conservation, which made the journey much more engaging. Boyd also did a great job managing the entire day. At every stop, he made sure we had enough time to explore and take photos, and he would often proactively offer to take pictures for us, which we really appreciated. His driving was excellent as well, and we felt safe and comfortable throughout the trip. One of the best decisions he made was changing the order of the itinerary and taking us to Peyto Lake first thing in the morning. Since it was a Saturday, he had correctly anticipated that it would get extremely busy later in the day. This turned out to be a brilliant decision — we were able to enjoy Peyto Lake before the crowds arrived, and by the time we were leaving around 10 a.m., there was already a long line of cars waiting to get in. That small adjustment really helped make the entire day run smoothly. Overall, I think this tour is absolutely worth it, especially because it is one of the few tours that includes Peyto Lake, which was definitely one of the highlights for us. Boyd’s professionalism, knowledge, thoughtful planning, and friendly attitude made the experience even better. Highly recommended!
Kimmy was a great guide , very informative, considerate and fun! We enjoyed spending the day with her and seeing the sights around Banff. I would highly recommend her to friends.
Wonderful view all day long, the rockies and the lakes are absolutely amazing, many souvenirs for all time
It was a wonderful experience, and we thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of the lakes and nature. Kimmy is very friendly and an excellent guide. Thank you! 🙂🇨🇦
I had a fantastic time on the 4 Lakes Tour! The scenery was beautiful, and everything was very well organised. I was travelling solo, and Jesse was an excellent guide, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience really enjoyable. Highly recommend!
I'm so glad we went on this tour! The lakes were gorgeous and Kimmie was excellent!! She went out of her way to be helpful, was very informative and a joy to be around! She even made an extra stop--a natural bridge--which was amazing!
Kenneth was a wonderful guide. Upbeat and friendly, his love of the area and passion for what he does is very obvious. The tour was great and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about the lakes and the region.
Kenneth makes it personal. He loves the Canadian Rockies and he shares that with everyone. I prefer the small group, 16, tour.
Boyd did an outstanding job. He was knowledgeable. friendly and a good photographer to boot. He deserves a raise!
Boyd was an exceptional guide. He told the history of each lake and area to which we traveled. He offered to take pics in each location and stayed close to us in each location. We also enjoyed that our vehicle was a nice size with few travelers.
We had BOYD! He was an amazing guide, learned a lot of history and other fun facts. He went over and beyond making sure everyone was safe, hydrated and comfortable He has only been doing this job for three months and he is a master already. Will I recommend it ? Definitely! I hope the drivers get paid well enough, as the hours are long. Hard to be a guide and drive. So, please give a tip if you enjoyed the ride.
This tour covered 4 of the best lakes in Bannf National Park. The spacing was perfect and some light hiking was great exercise. We had plenty of time at each lake and saw some of the other attractions on the ride. Kenneth was a exceptional guide! Highly recommended!
Ray our driver and guide is fantastic, he is professional explain the itinerary well, kept very well to time and he went all out to look for guests who is late just in case they could not find the bus. Ray provided bottled water and afternoon snacks. We are all very spoilt. Ray recommended good choice of restaurants. Ray looked out for animals deer, bears, moose, etc. He is very friendly and make sure we are all comfortable in the bus.
The tour was wonderful and an awesome experience. We had wonderful weather to enjoy the beautiful lakes and Natural Bridge. Our guide Jessie was outstanding. He provided valuable information and made sure we had a memorable experience. He was very helpful to everyone on our tour and took extra care with our senior participants. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see Lake Louise and the other lakes in this area. It was great to not have to worry about where to park and booking shuttles.
Our tour guide, Kimmy was exceptional! She was kind, patient, and super funny! We loved seeing all these lakes!
If I had one day in Banff, this is the tour I would have picked. You get to do it all a little bit and get to see some amazing views of nature. Our tour guide was very respectful and helpful all along and I loved hearing some interesting facts through the day.
The trip was very well planned and Keneth was a terrific guide. He was very informative on the whole trip.
Our tour guide Gordon was absolutely phenomenal! He was funny, kind, and knowledgeable about our tour. The bus was very clean and comfortable. 10/10 recommend!!
Could not have been happier with Rockies Journey. We had a different tour operator cancel on us the day before and quickly booked with Rockies Journey and they were beyond accomodating meeting our needs (big thanks to Cailyn). Ken Ken was our guide and he was outstanding - friendly, fun and informative. Would use Rockies and Ken Ken again in a heartbeat.
It was a long but amazing day. Jesse was very informative as our tour guide, and a great photographer as well for our family pictures. We would highly recommend taking one of their tours.
We had a great time on this tour! Jesse was a fun, cheery, and informative guide and Dash was a great driver. We only had two days in Banff and wanted to see as much of it as possible so this tour was perfect! It was a long day, but it really didn’t feel like too much. We went with 3 children, 15,13 & 9 and they enjoyed it as well. We enjoyed the restaurant that Jesse recommended for lunch and at every stop he went above and beyond to help us get the best spots to view from. All in all highly recommendable.
My wife and I really enjoyed our experience and the tour of the four lakes. Our guide/driver Kenneth was very personable and friendly. He provided lots of information about the area, shared insights on less crowded viewing areas and often took pictures for us. Save the parking hassles, it’s worth it to use a bus tour such as this one. Highly recommended!
My husband and I really enjoyed our tour with Rockies Journey. It was our first time in Alberta, so we chose the 4 Lakes Tour to make the most of our time here, and it was definitely the right decision. Everything was very well organized, and our guide, Jesse, was fantastic. He shared lots of interesting information about each stop and was also kind enough to help us take photos. Jesse is a five-star guide, and we would definitely recommend this tour!
This was a very well organized itinerary. No stress of driving or finding parking. Ray was a wonderful tour guide. Highly recommend!
This tour was a wonderful experience! Everything ran smoothly. Small group. Boyd was awesome. He dedicated his time to be of assistance, staying close and available in case anyone needed anything and he offered to take pictures and showed us the best spots! He is kind and knowledgeable. The choices of places visited are wonderful! Love it!
York, guide was extraordinarily helpful, insightful and personal able 😀 He takes great photos and assists every guest. The trip was everything promised plus more. Incredible 😲
This tour was excellent and I’m so glad we booked it rather than try to drive to all of the lakes ourselves! We were able to pass by the long lines of cars trying to park and go straight towards the sights. Our guide, Michael, was excellent! He was kind, knowledgeable and made the tour very fun. It was definitely worth the price.
