This trip to the Spray Lake Provincial Park near Canmore is the perfect antidote to the crowds in the nearby national parks. You get all the same amazing scenery but with a fraction of the people. The lodge the tour visits for lunch was booked for a private event so we had a picnic at a beautiful lake, which was so peaceful (apart from the weasel that popped out to say hello) and a better option on such a nice day. The lunch was from a local bakery in Canmore and was delicious and generous. We also got some great views of big horned sheep both ways. Our guide Matteo was enthusiastic and made sure we had a great time, being on a private tour was lovely and created a relaxed and personal experience.

Marc Niehaus did an outstanding job on showing us a fantastic time. We were able to see sheep and moose. We had an outstanding visit to a remote restaurant run by 5-10 young people from around the world. The scenery was spectacular. Mark made the entire day seem effortless. Surprisingly, the best part of this tour may have been the people we met during our afternoon. Mark and the staff at the restaurant were outstanding. I highly recommend this tour.
Very underwhelming. Went on a 4.5 hour ride. 2 hours in an off road jeep on the interstate because a road was closed. We were not informed of this until pickup. Not exactly a "safari". Then went "off road" - on a well paved gravel road to a nice lake for a picnic. The picnic consisted of a club sandwich. No charcuterie, no tea. We did see a small lizard at the lake - that was our wildlife highlight. These guys are misleading the public by not informing their clients of deviations from the described experience prior to pick up. 4.5 hours in a closed jeep is not our idea of a great day in the mountains.
We all enjoyed this very much. It was not the tour as advertised (the tea location was not available due to a wedding) and a location could not be reached due to an avalanche. However, the guides did a great job of taking us to various locations and provided a full lunch. (The agency we booked with should have told us about the tea house situation, but they didn't.) - Based on our experience, I am confident that the tour as advertised is great as was our 'improvised' experience!!
