Explore Moraine Lake And Lake Louise — A Half Day Tour

Excellent and well-paced half-day tour to Lake Louise and Marble Canyon (Moraine Lake closes from Oct 12–June 1st). Our guide, Frank, was awesome — very thorough and gave us lots of great information about Banff and surrounding areas — we learned a lot! Plenty of time to see Lake Louise. We did the short but steep hike up to the lookout — amazing views but honestly our guide, Frank, was right about the lower trail to the left being better and more scenic for the time you have to explore. The trail along the lake offers more lake and dramatic mountain views whereas the hike up keeps you in the forest and then when you arrive at the lookout there's a very small platform with everyone wanting to get their perfect photo. Worth it but only if you have more time. The drive to Marble Canyon was also very scenic and it was a very easy trail to explore the beauty and dramatic rock of the canyon. We really enjoyed it! We'd definitely recommend this and decided to take this tour based on: it includes the park pass and parking fees which can be expensive and it allows you to look around at the beautiful landscape and scenery rather than driving! And you get to ask a local guide all the questions you have. Definitely recommended and thank you again for a great tour, Frank!

We took this tour with our toddler. Perfect amount of time at each lake to take pictures and explore. We liked how small the group was and how our driver was knowledgeable on the lakes and some tips for good photo spots.

Perfect way to see Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful with tips and tricks. You get an hour and twenty minutes at each location which is the perfect amount of time.

Our guide Frank, was terrific. He provided a great deal of history of the lakes on our drive, led us up the trail to the magnificent Moraine lake, took some pictures for us and ran the tour efficiently and on schedule.

We made a half day tour on Moraine lake and it was worth the trip . Sean was giving us tips where to get the best shots ! And yes he is absolutely right! He is nice and funny guy. The shuttle will pick you up and right on time.

Frank our driver/tour guide was super friendly. He was very knowledgeable about the history and geology of the lakes. He has an excellent command of the English language, very understandable.

Our driver was really short with the passengers and even left passengers that were trying to meet us at the 2nd pickup location (we did not know we would be picked up in Canmore and the have 20 min of downtime in Banff picking up another group). She informed us they were looking for parking but she couldnt wait for them we were shocked. She kept making bad jokes the whole ride about leaving other passengers and even wanted to when we were leaving Lake Morraine before we went to Lake Louise and I had to tell her the groups backpacks were on the bus! I didnt realize it wasn't really a tour just a driver to and from the lakes because personal cars are no longer allowed to drive there.

Frank was very knowledgeable about the area. He was also very professional and clearly enjoyed meeting us. The timing at both lakes was just right. Thanks Frank for an enjoyable afternoon.

Throughout the journey, he provided an almost continuous and fascinating commentary, sharing highly knowledgeable information about the local mountains, history, culture, traditions, and local norms of Banff, Canmore, and the surrounding lakes. This was an excellent tour. I was short on time, and couldn't do a full day tour. In just five hours I was able to enjoy the beauty of Moraine lake and Lake Louise. Our tour guide Frank was excellent. He educated us about the lakes, while using humor, and keeping the group on time. I really appreciated his time management. The tour ended exactly after five hours. I highly recommend this tour.

This was a terrific tour to see two fabulous lakes in the Banff area. We traveled by coach and were dropped off at each lake with time to explore and walk around. Our guide was wonderful and gave us interesting bits of information and history about what we were seeing and where we were going.

It was perfect. Ideal weather helped the occasion but so did our driver Shaun. He gave us local history as well as hints on the best way to spend our time at each location. Good driver too

1.5 hrs. at each lake was the perfect amount of time. Driver was very instructive about the lakes and surrounding area.

The tour was fine. The communication from the vendor was horrible. We were told to meet at a hotel at 2:30. No particular location, just at the hotel. Usually that means in front of the hotel and there were benches and people and we were there by 2:20, waiting. When no bus had shown up by 2:30 we went inside the hotel just to double check where we should be. Girl at front desk had no clue about our tour but said a lot of buses pick up in the parking lot behind the hotel, about a block away. We rushed there and barely caught the tour bus just as it was leaving. The actual pickup location would have been helpful to know, not sure why vendor wouldn’t specify that on the confirmation. Also, the morning of the tour I sent a message to the tour company asking a general question about the tour. It’s been over a week and they still haven’t responded. So apparently communication isn’t their strength.

The trip was wonderful views of both lakes were great Frank. Our driver was an excellent guide felt safe very helpful in taking pictures making sure that we got good pictures.

This tour was perfect!! The views were spectacular. Frank was our guide and he was amazing! He made every moment and memory very special.

We got to experience two of the great sights in Banff National Park. I preferred this option rather than the Parks Canada shuttle to know our schedule rather than hope for seats on an overcrowded bus. Our guide was kind, professional, and knowledgeable. This is our second booking with Viator (both in countries outside our home). I trust them.

We booked the tour at a discount and it was great for the value even mandatory tips, $10/person, to our driver. Our driver, Young, picked us up on time and his driving was smooth and safe. His communication was clear on trip duration and return location and time. He gave us good tips on various viewpoints for Moraine Lake and Lake Louise. He was also informative about the lakes. We enjoyed our tour.

Definitely recommend them, a lot cheaper than most shuttle services to lake Louise and morraine and a good guide made the experience all very good
