Discover Banff National Park - Premium Day Trip

Communication was excellent leading up the trip. The driver arrived at our hotel right on time in a comfortable, well-maintained vehicle. The group size was just right at 11 people. Our tour guide, Murray, was informative and entertaining. We saw some amazing views in a very organized manner. Because of the time of the year, some stops weren't available, so our total tour time was a little less than expected. That was a mixed blessing. We got back to Calgary in time to have a night on the town, but some in our group wish we had used some of that extra time for a longer stay in the town of Banff.

We had a great time Murray was very nice and fun, it was a long day but this was a lifetime experience.

Just do it. Tour guides are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Dan was wonderful and engaging. You literally cannot beat the scenery. The day started out drizzly and snowing, but it was still incredible. Once the sun came out, it was surreal. Again, just do it. You won't be disappointed.

This was a great tour. Dan was very organized and I enjoyed his tidbits on Canada’s history, wildlife, and folklores. Met some very nice people on-board and enjoyed the whole day.

Dan was amazing…it was a wonderful day with awesome views & experiences..there was one issue with reservation, but they immediately made it right, so that is commendable…

Pickup was on time, van was comfortable, Murray the guide was very entertaining and lively. Got to visit all the places as mentioned in the listing. Every place we went was well timed, and we were dropped off as scheduled. Overall the experience was great, would highly recommend.

I had several tours during my stay in Canada but this one I have to give it a score of 100%. This tour was so well organized. Our tour guide Dair was very friendly, caring, empathetic and so considerare of us. He was always in such high spirits, great sense of humor, put good music, and had the best recommendations to make the most of our trip. Also, I appreciated that he kept us imformed at all times about the time of driving time between spots, and the recommended washrooms available. This way we were able to prepare ourselves and ensure we used the recomended washrooms even if we did not needed it and avoid using the unsanitary ones. I appreciated this the most since on another tour the guide did not provide us any info so we really did not know which was the recommended washrooms and how long was the driving time to get to them, so most people used washrooms in extremly poor conditions not knowing that the next stop was just a short drive and they could have hold it. This tour is very long but soo worth it. So please be mindfull of the time and be always punctual, thats the best way to make the most of your trip. If you are late you will have less time on the spots. We were given alot of time to enjoy all spots. The lakes were extremely beautiful. We met such great people during this tour. Dairs food recommendation was on point. I loved that he asked us auestions at the binning of the tour to know more about us and our interests to give us pointers and recomending what to do. I got to do the canoe, although expensive it was soooo worth it. I honestly though I would not be able to do it. lol. I was concerned for our tour guide because if we were on this tour for about 13 hours I cannot imagine when the day began and ended for the tour guide since he had to pick us up & drop us off first before heading back home Thank you Dair you are very special. It was a wonderful day with lengthy stops in each spot so you can take a short hike/walk, take some photos, do a meditation, and soak in the beauty. Murray was a great driver and very knowledgeable. It was also a wonderful group of people on the tour which made it an extra special day.

Wonderful small group tour. Picked up from the hotel, the trip was on time and our guide, Dan shared a lot of information, tips and stories. Enough time to explore each stop was great. Plan on a full-day adventure at different lakes.

I had an amazing Banff tour, and I can’t recommend our Danny enough! He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about Banff and its history. He took the time to make sure everyone in the group was comfortable, answered all of our questions, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in my life. Every stop was more beautiful than the last, and his detailed explanations made us appreciate the area even more. This was truly an unforgettable experience, and I’m already looking forward to coming back one day with my parents and my husband because I know they would absolutely love the incredible nature and beauty of Banff. We had a truly fantastic day, largely because of our tour guide, Dair, and the beauty of Banff National Park. From pick-up to drop-off at our hotel (which was a bit out of the way and they accommodated anyway, despite us offering to meet the tour elsewhere), the day was fantastic! Dair truly loves Alberta and working with people, and from the moment we set foot in the van, he built a sense of family (literally calling us "family" all day) among strangers, shared interesting information and some jokes without it being overkill, and kept our day moving from spot to spot, even taking pictures we didn't realize he had captured, and sending them to us personally at the end of the day. The drive was easy as we went to a secret spot that was added to our tour as his "gift to us", Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, the town of Banff, Two Jack Lake and Lake Minnewanka. The time spent at each ensured to we what we most wanted to (and Dair helped with recommendations), but was also enough. We saw wild horses, bighorn sheep, and other wildlife along the way, got to stand in water pouring off a glacier (he brought towels for those who chose to get their feet wet), and overall had an incredible day. Many thanks for the outstanding experience - we would highlight recommend this tour, and Dair, to anyone looking to explore the area with some guidance.

We were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous day. Dan was an amazing tour guide and made it very personable rather than a static tour. I have never been on a tour before but I am so glad I decided to give in. The knowledge and stories filled in the drive and he kept everyone engaged with one another. Id take a tour with this guy anywhere.

This day trip is an experience not to be missed. Our tour guide Kevin made it truly memorable. He was sincerely invested in giving us a great trip. He kept the journey interesting by sharing many personal experiences of the area as well as a lot of information about the history, economy and social context of the places we were passing through. His insights were very informative and entertaining. What was very impressive was the effort he put into the whole exercise. Totally recommend Kevin and his Banff daytrip !

This day trip was absolutely incredible! I was visiting from the UK and this was my final day before leaving. It was so magical. We had a small group, just two of us on the trip with the wonderful tour guide Dair who told us so many great stories and showed us all the amazing spots, giving us enough time to explore. He also made sure to get me back to the airport in time for my flight, so I did t have to think about it all day. You have to experience this trip for yourself to see how magical it is.

Murray was a great tour guide on trip to Banff National Park. He explained information about the area. During the tour there were multiple times to get explorer the Park such as Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. The tour took me by very beautiful scenery.

Great experience would definitely be back to banff. The scenery was unreal and it’s actually one of the best places I’ve ever seen.

We were notified via whatsapp and Tripadvisor messaging a day before the tour of our pick up time at the nearest hotel. Patrick, our guide/driver was on time and friendly, and the van was comfortable. Lake Moraine was closed for the winter so we got to see Lake Louise which was still beautiful with snow covered grounds and seeing snow capped mountains in the background. We had over an hour to eat lunch and explore the town of Banff for some souvenirs. The weather was a little chilly in early November but it did not snow or rain on us, so I would say it was a good trip. Highly recommend doing this small group tour with Banff Day Trips company.

Excellent guide made this trip fun and informative! We got to see several amazing sites. We especially loved the visit to Lake Louise.

2 adults and 2 teens in August 2025. Great trip! Good communication before the day. Picked us up from Canmore. Our driver (forgot name now!) wore a cowboy hat. He was great and we enjoyed the experience. We took a picnic with us and he was really helpful suggesting where we could go to eat it in local parks in Banff. Also he came down to Lake Louise and took photos for us which meant we didn't have to bother other tourists to take a picture! Had such a good time.

Picked up on time. Our driver was Dair who was great and knowledgeable on all the places he took us. Fantastic tour, Lake Louise was beautiful as was Johnston Canyon. Plenty of time at each place we visited. Really enjoyed the day.

It was a perfect tour that covered most of the tourist attractions, with a reasonable fee. The tour guide (Rick) was very pleasant and keen for us to enjoy our time. On time, no stress, no worries, just a fun ride. I would definitely recommend 👍

The tour was exactly what I wanted. The guide/driver Murray was attentive, courteous, knowledgeable, and interesting. The itinerary gave a good overview of the park. I recommend both this tour and this tour company.

The Canadian Rockies are an amazing, scenic location. The tour took us to several highlight areas, and gave us time to wander and explore. The guide (we had Gordon) was very knowledgeable and informative as well as extremely personable. The tour bus was comfortable, and the sights were lined up in an ascending series of jaw dropping scenes. Highly recommended.

It is a trip of a lifetime that you will never forget. The scenery of those glacier mountains is breathtaking.

An absolute incredible day. Murray was a fantastic guide, and the views were better than I ever could have imagined. This tour is the perfect mix of guided tour (Murray has a lot of great information to share) but solo time to explore on your own. I couldn't recommend it more, and can't wait to return.

Really good day out from Calgary and you get to see everything in the itinerary. Our guide was Murray and he was sure to make the day fun and educational while driving safely. Communication with the team was good, they communicated via WhatsApp and the visitor message app confirming the tour the day before with pick up time from your hotel. The only slightly negative was the bus really needs some shock absorbers it was very bump and loud, the USB charging ports didn’t work for all (depending on your cable) but they had power banks for you to use instead. Overall a lovely day, thank you.

I had a wonderful day. I was able to relax and just enjoy visiting all of the sites without having to worry about anything. Murray did a fantastic job. He was fun, energetic and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see the best sites in Banff!
