A must do while in Canmore. Easy 2 hour walk, suitable for everyone. Erin was such a fantastic guide, with great local knowledge. Canmore landmarks an d a small walk by the river were super!!! Highly recommend!!!!

We really enjoyed our tour of Canmore with Erin - she was passionate about the local area, engaging and very knowledgeable! Enjoying some local products was a highlight, as well as seeing some Elk near the river! Insights into life in Canada were also fascinating as a first time visitor! Would highly recommend this tour and Erin as a guide! I’ll be sure to look up Rocky Mountain Food & Walking tours if I am back in the area in the future!

A lot of ground is covered in the 2 hour walk which is at a comfortable pace over fairly flat trails/streets. Our guide was Erin she was friendly, approachable and super knowlegable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Erin, she provided us with a wealth of information on the history of this beautiful place. We would highly recommend taking the time to get to know Canmore with Erin 🙂

If you want to have a comprehensive tour of the picturesque town of Canmore, you will very much enjoy this tour. You will hear about the history of this town from its founding as a mining town in the 1880’s to the growing city it is today. Highlights include: beautiful shops on Main Street, original police station, Canmore hotel, short hike alongside the now river (with possible wildlife sightings!) and the iconic head statue. Erin was very attentive and even bought us drinks and sweets along the way and took photos of our family, she’s very passionate about her hometown and spreads that energy to her tour group, Highly recommended!

The 2 hour walking tour of Canmore with Erin was the best way to learn about the history, culture, people and sense of the town. Erin was engaging and knowledgeable. If I had another free day I would sign up for the Food tour.

I really enjoyed this tour. Canmore is a beautiful town, well worth visiting. Our guide, Erin, knows Canmore very well and it felt like she genuinely loved to share how it was to live there. We were treated as if we were old friends. In addition to walking through and learning about the busier tourist and business areas, we got to visit quiet neighborhoods where people live now. We saw examples of new and old Canmore, and it was both informative and lots of fun. We also strolled through areas where you might get to see some elk and other wildlife. The sweet treats were great, and unique to the area. I highly recommend this tour.

This was fun and informative local tour! Catch history, learn what’s happening, wander through some trails and taste some local sodas and chimney cakes! Our tour guide, Erin was exceptional! I was the lucky recipient of a private tour of Canmore by the owner of the tour company, Erin. I enjoyed the mix of past history, art, culture, nature, and food present on the tour. Her enthusiasm for Canmore and Canada in general made for a wonderful experience. The local craft root beer and chimney cone were flavorful additions to the experience. I would highly recommend this activity for anyone who passes through Canmore.

It was a fun and very enjoyable way to explore the town of Canmore. The tour included going around town and a nature walk. Lots of fun facts and historical highlights shared which were very informative. Erin was very friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. She was amazing, and made the walking tour a very pleasant experience for all, including my teenager. Weather yesterday was gorgeous which set the mood for a nice outdoor activity. The local refreshments and sweet treats included was a very nice surprise/bonus. It felt like a walking and local food tour all in 1. Do not hesitate to book this tour, it is well worth it! Highly recommended for all ages :)

My husband, our friends, and I went on the Canmore Walking Tour, and we truly cannot rave enough about the exceptional experience we had! Our tour guide, Erin, was absolutely phenomenal. She shared the history of Canmore in such incredible detail, never missing a beat and making us fall even more in love with this adorable town. Beyond the fantastic history, the tour included some amazing local food and drinks to try, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Erin was incredibly engaging and genuinely interested in our feedback, asking what we thought about the tour and sharing in our excitement. A huge highlight of our trip, was getting to see elk walking right through the river! It was so perfect it almost felt like Erin had planned it herself, but it’s really just a testament to the magic and charm of this beautiful area. This tour was an unforgettable experience. We are already recommending both this and the Banff tour to all of our friends. If you are visiting the area, do not miss out on this!

We booked this tour after having such a positive experience on Rocky Mountain Food & Walking Tours' Banff walking tour, and once again had an awesome time. Lots of interesting history and so many things to see in Canmore, which is stunning and should be a must for anyone passing through the Bow Valley or planning to only check out Banff. Some of the older buildings and the near-misses the town has had with falling off the map were super interesting! We were lucky enough to have the owner, Erin, guiding our tour again and she was wonderful. The sweet treat and drink were a really nice touch as well!

This Chinese tour was an unforgettable experience! Every stop was well-organized, the pace was comfortable, and we got to see and learn so much. We did something different this evening! We had planned an afternoon walking tour of Canmore with Rocky Mountain Food and Walking tours, but our flight was delayed. I called the company and they graciously moved our tour to 7pm. Elyse was our guide and we wanted to take her home by the end of the tour. It was informative, fun, and the treats were excellent! Everyone in our group enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend!

I did my tour with Elyse and I found her ro be very friendly and knowledgeable. She seems to be very down to earth. I come to Canmore very often but the things I learned today doing the tour was amazing. It made me appreciate Canmore even more understanding the history behind everything. Our guide Elyse was amazing!!!! She showed us all around Canmore, giving us fun facts and teaching us history of the First Nations people of the area as well as the history of mining in the town! We were even able to get into a fudgery in town before it was open to the public! Such a fun morning! Would definitely book with Elyse again

We liked the Banff walking tour so much yesterday that we booked the Canmore tour today. The tour was filled with new and interesting information and more beautiful views! I had no idea Canmore had such a rich history and found this tour to be just as interesting as Banff. My kids were anticipating the treat at the end and it did not disappoint!
