We had a great time biking around Calgary with our guide. The bikes were in good working order, and we enjoyed being shown some of the highlights of downtown Calgary, as well as learning some of the history and geography of the area. We have never been to Calgary, so it was great having someone show us where to go and not have to do all that research myself. We especially enjoyed biking along the river and seeing the beauty of the fall trees.

Look for life-sized terra-cotta soldier and the mighty chariot replicas, the imperial dining set, exquisite sculptures, and history changing inventions. The 70-foot high ceiling with intricate designs that include 561 dragons and 40 phoenixes are held up with four central columns that have each been painstakingly hand-decorated with genuine gold.
Nature at it's best with terrific hidden gems that you'll want to return to later!

We won't go inside, but we'll see the place where Calgary became what it is today and learn about the terrific history that made it so.
We'll see where the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth takes place, although you won't gain access to the grounds.

Had a great time. Awesome way to see the city. Just filling in space now to lodge this review one more wood
Fun! Informative and safe and a great experience! James is a terrific guide! He really knows his facts about Calgary. Additionally, James is friendly and led our group safely and at a comfortable pace.
James was a wonderful tour guide. Stopped at all the scheduled points of interest to give explanation and allow time for pictures. Park washrooms mid-way which was helpful. Even stopped at an ice cream shop. The e-bike was easy but still got some exercise on it.
It was well worth the price to take the tour. I would recommend getting the e-bike because the last hill is really steep. Otherwise a regular bike is fine.
Our 3 hr bicycle tour of Calgary opened my eyes to the beauty and the history of Calgary. I loved seeing so much public art and learning how important it is to the city. Cycling infrastructure was impressive throughout the tour. Our guide Stacey shared her love of Calgary and gave clear directions. Highlights for me were the bell sculpture at the foot of Chinatown and riding along the Bow River.
A Great way to see the City! We only had one day, so it was great to see the river trail and parks, City views, history, and the Stampede grounds.
Our guide, George, provided a thorough tour of Calgary. We pedaled through lots of neighborhoods, went to some beautiful view points, and learned the flavor of this city. It was a perfect way to experience the fullness of Calgary during our short stay.
Great city tour- regular bikes worked well except on the hill that overlooks the city. Great tour guide who lived in Calgary most of her life. Only parking was an issue so we took Uber to get there .
Our guide Stacy knew her city ! We loved the comprehensive bike tour that was city and nature. Calgary was a one nite stop but we really got the flavor of the city from this 3 hour tour!
Arrived in Calgary earlier than anticipated, so went straight to store to book on tour. Stacey was an excellent guide. Very clear and provided excellent summaries and history of locations. Bike tours are my preferred method of orientating to a new city. On this trip I have done one in Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. This probably the best one. Thanks Stacey.
Excellent experience, great guide, fully recommended
Great tour . Guide was very fun and informative . Perfect overview of the city
I had a great cycle tour with Stacey! As the other people on the tour had cancelled, I ended up having a lovely personal tour, which was a real bonus. Stacey tailored the tour to me and gave me as much information as I wanted, making it both really interesting and enjoyable. We also stopped at a lovely local coffee shop, where we received a discount as part of the tour — a really nice touch. The tour was the perfect length and didn’t feel rushed at all. I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend the tour, especially Stacey as a guide!
It was one of the best tours that I’ve ever experienced with the best tour guide, Mark
Our tour guide Stacy was amazing! You could tell she really enjoys her job and loves sharing everything she knows about Calgary as well as wildlife like birds and beavers. She had so much to share that our tour lasted almost 3.5 hours! Would highly recommend to everyone to get a great overview of Calgary.
My wife and I did the 3-hour Calgary bike tour today with our guide Caitlin. From start to finish, the tour was excellent! •The bikes were in excellent condition. The staff assisted us with helmet fit and seat height. •Caitlin gave us an extensive & interesting overview of Calgary history. •The route took us all over the city, mostly on dedicated bike trails and occasionally on city bike lanes. We felt safe at all times. •The route was mostly flat with a few hills; nothing difficult. Most people would be comfortable with the pace and the low degree of difficulty of the tour. We had a great time on this tour and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Calgary.
Wonderful bus tour of Calgary! Our guide Adelaide was so informative, helpful and friendly. We made about the right number of stops including getting delicious homemade ice cream at our last stop. What a great way to get introduced to this charming city!
Our tour guide Stacy was amazing! She took us to all the sightseeing in Calgary. On top of that we got to work out.
My husband and I did the 3-hour bike trip with our guide Stacy on Friday September 4 for the 9:30 am tour. Check in was easy, Stacy was fantastic and clearly loves her city. A few notes: the trip details online are a bit outdated. There IS a bathroom you can use at the Toonie Tours location and they give you a bottle of water. Stacy did NOT take us inside the Chinese Cultural Centre/Museum (which frankly would’ve wasted biking time). We saw a lot of the city. Terrain is mostly flat except at the end there is quite a steep hill at the end for a great overlook So keep that in mind in choosing e-bike v regular. Short enough of a hill to walk it up though. Be prepared for the weather to change multiple times during the ride (it’s Calgary!!). So I suggest bringing rain gear
It was a really fun Bike Tour. We saw some really pretty parts of Calgary along the river and got information about how the city was settled and about some of the buildings. Jorge was great. The tour I was supposed to be on got canceled (1:30) because there weren't enough people and so they emailed me to see if I wanted to go in the morning instead. It turned out to be much better because it wasn't as warm in the morning. They have e-bikes but there's a surcharge. The other people on my tour managed just fine without it. We stopped at a really good ice cream/coffee shop called Aporentice.
A fun way to see and get to know Calgary! My guide Caitlyn was so friendly and knowledgable with all the great local tips.
Helpful and kind operators. The best and fun way to see Calgary. I liked it a lot.
I was part of a tour group that stopped in Calgary. As we were in Calgary for a short period of time, this tour was an ideal way to see Calgary. Over the course of the morning, we cycled around several areas of Calgary, with breaks available so that our guide could talk to us about important areas of the city. Our guide was attentive to the group and ensured the best use of our time. As there doesn’t seem to be hop on hop off buses in Calgary, I would recommend this cycling tour to anyone new to the city.
We always book city bike tours when we visit a new city and have always had excellent tours---until this one. Either Calgary is a very uninteresting place or our guide made it seem so. He was neither personable nor well-versed in Calgary history, culture, or interesting tidbits. At times, he had to read from a prepared script. It was a tortuous 3 hours. Perhaps our guide was a rookie, but he was not ready for prime time. At least the weather was beautiful that day.
Tas and Stacey did an awesome job showing us the city of Calgary. We used the e bikes and they were easy to use, as we had never rode on one before. I would recommend taking this tour for anyone interested in learning more about Calgary and getting a close up view of the uniqueness of this town.
Our Tour Guide was Ross and he did an excellent job. The description of the event was as described. It was a wonderful tour on well-maintained bikes that lasted three hours. We stopped at various areas and got a little history. I highly recommend this for exercise, wonderful views and information about Calgary.
Great way to experience and learn about Calgary’s key sites with history and context for first timers to Calgary
Very articulate and knowledgable guide . Excellent way for a first timer coming to Calgary to experience the key downtown sights with insights , context and history . I really enjoyed it . Fun activity outdoors with Good quality bikes .
Great tour of downtown Calgary! This was our first time to the city, and the tour gave us a good overview of the city and its history. The bikes were in great condition, and allowed us to explore so much more than we could on foot. Caitlin was a fun and knowledgeable guide.
A great way to see Calgary from different vantage points. We used E-bikes. The ride is fabulous. Our guide (James) was very informative and kept a friendly pace of travel. Three hours went by rather quickly. Lots of stops with excellent commentary by James. Well worth your time if you like easy riding(one big hill) and enjoy being outside.
Russ was a great guide. He’s new to Calgary and seems to love it - even after 2 winters! I learned a bit about neighborhoods, history, and life in Calgary. Please book direct with Toonie Tours. Viator gives faulty pricing info.
A great trip , the guide was really informative, feeding the fish was an unexpected bonus.
Amazing bike tour in Calgary with a first class guide. I had a 1 day stop in Calgary before I joined a hiking trip and joined the tour which was a great decision . Chad guided the tour and as a resident of Calgary and a proud Canadian he gave me an insight to Calgary culture and sights and the local natural world. I am a big cycle tour fan but this is probably the best that I have experienced. Also received recommendations for great restaurants and sights to visit in Calgary.
Wonderful helpful staff. Due to flight issues I missed my tour. I was within the 24 hour cancellation window, so understood there were no refunds. They offered me another tour which did not work in my schedule. But I did get to take a bike and go out alone for a wonderful 1.5 hour ride along the Bow River trail.
Excellent tour of the major areas of Calgary. People of all ages and experience with a bike can easily do this tour. It is mainly flat, however there is one hill, but it IS ok to just get off the bike and stroll up it! Caitlin was excellent too as our guide with her vast knowledge of the city and her sense of humour made the tour extra special. Even if you are a local, or especially as a visitor, this tour is a MUST do! A++++
Caitlin our guide was amazing. Knowledgeable and energetic and very genuine. Knew Calgary history and added personal experience along the way.
Great ride, would recommend. Good bikes and Kaitlyn was a fantastic guide.
Great ride! Lots of interesting facts and history about the beautiful city of Calgary. Mostly all flat paved trails and a great way to see the fantastic parks, excellent knowledgeable guide, who kept a good pace for the group. Highly recommended!
Great tour, perfect length and knowledgeable and friendly guides. Interesting stops and plenty of time for photos, chats and even a coffee.
Guide was inexperienced & hard to understand. Would have liked to stop for more photo moments. On a hot day it would be best to stop and talk in a shaded area .
A fabulous way to explore Calgary. James was an excellent guide who was knowledgeable about the city. Would certainly recommend as we visited areas that we wouldn't have visited otherwise. The electric bikes were so easy to use and made our tour enjoyable. And we even saw a Beaver!
Great way to see the city! I learned a lot about the history of Alberta and got some amazing views of the parks and city. My guide was very friendly and easy going!
Excellent way to see the highlights of Calgary! Got to be out in the fresh air and learn about the history of Calgary all at the same time. Our guide was very informative and considerate. Highly recommend Toonie Tours!
Well maintained bikes. No issues with the seat, chain, or gears. Almost the entire ride was on bike lanes. Our guide was great. He was extremely knowledgeable and charming. Overall, a wonderful overview of the city!
Great fun cycle tour with our guide Chad who is very knowledgable about Calgary he made us feel very safe.
Caitlin (sp?) was an amazing tour guide! We were lucky enough to have her to just the 2 of us. She adjusted the route based on our interests and made the city come alive with the history and trivia she shared. She also let us stop for ice cream! Learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Well worth the money!
Thanks for everything Chad! Just a delight. Historic pearls of wisdoms, beautiful scenery and some sneaky wildlife!
Great Tour with guide Daniel, fun, interesting and great way of seeing the city in a few hours..Calgary is mostly flat so not too difficult to cycle.
Good gear was given. Tour was good, weather was nice and sunny. Guide was a bit brief on the tour, I would expected a little bit more.
