Banff National Park Tour From Calgary

I can't recommend this company enough. When you are in the Banff area, this is a must. The guides are family, so knowledgable about the area. We saw the most beautiful sites, learned so much about the history of the Park and had delicious meals at their recommendation.

We had a fantastic time on this tour! Even though we’re locals and have visited Banff many times, we still learned so much and discovered new things about the area. The views were absolutely beautiful, and we really appreciated all the stops built into the day, giving us plenty of time to take in the scenery, explore, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Our guide, “Super Mario,” was great! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire day fun and enjoyable. His stories and insights gave us a whole new appreciation for Banff. It was a great way to see Banff from a different perspective! Highly recommend this tour, even for locals!

The guide and driver, Luis, is really kind and knowledgeable, also is the best photographer. The route was perfect and well organised for one day with two lakes and the national park plus the very attractive Banff. Everything was beautiful. Super worthy the money. I hope I can visit again with my family.

If you want the best tour guide, ask for "Super" Mario. He is a stellar guide; funny, full of knowledge, well spoken, kind and jovial. We couldn't have asked for better. He also takes good photos of you at each site!

Fantastic day with our guide and driver, Luis. He took us to some great locations, showed us some amazing sights and gave us tips for places to get the best views and photos. Luis was personable, articulate, and had a wealth of knowledge of the Banff area. Enjoyed it so much we booked a second tour with them two days later. Our tour was to Banff, see all the lakes and the falls. Luis was our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable about Banff it really makes the tour very enjoyable. Not only was he knowledgeable about Banff, but the surrounding Calgary area. I would book again, and would definitely ask for Luis as my tour guide.

This was my first time in Calgary and booking a tour with Rocky Mountain Trips was an amazing experience. Mario was our tour guide and he had a wealth of knowledge that made the tour so memorable. The cost of the tour was super affordable especially for a 10 hour excursion and Mario took us to special sites that were away from the big crowds and gave great suggestions for photo ops. Whether you're solo or with a group this tour is well worth it!

Exceptional day visiting Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, Banff, Bow Falls, and Lake Minnewanka! Our driver/guide Teddy was outstanding - very personable, great sense of humor, and knowledgeable. If you just have one day to see these sites, this is a great tour to accomplish that, we highly recommend!

Teddy was a great tour guide and driver. Knowledgeable and professional in the itinerary – he had great recommendations on the restaurants at Banff Town Centre and he even knew which washrooms were cleaner. It was too bad that the time spent at Moraine Lake could not be longer though – an hour and a half would have been appreciated. Other participants were respectful of the time allotments which made the trip spectacular too. Thank you for your time and efforts in coordinating this day trip. This is a great small family business, highly dedicated to their love for the outdoors and treating us tourists like family. Luie is a fun and great story teller, has excellent recommendations for both Banff and Calgary, like where to get a descent cup of coffee. Going the extra mile and being a safe driver just add to a relaxed experience. Highly recommended if you prefer a small group experience in their comfortable 14 seaters with a clear sound system. My husband and I had a most wonderful day with Mario as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and informative and very interesting to listen to. We initially had intended to drive ourselves to this area but it turned out to be the best thing taking this tour. Mario had a lot of insight as to where each location had the best views for photography shots and even took photos for us. They were amazing places to visit and I would thoroughly recommend going on this tour.

From the first contact with Tito when I booked the tour to having an excellent day out with Luis as our guide, this small, family run company has been excellent! Luis made the day fun whilst also imparting a lot of local knowledge. It goes without saying that all the lakes we visited were stunning, but to be able to leave the car behind and let someone else take us to the best views in the area was priceless! I highly recommend this tour and love to support a small business.

Teddy was an Amazing Guide, he was very knowledgeable and interactive with his guests. Teddy took us to all the best spots, took family photos , his wife taught him well!! These folks were amazing! A little private shuttle with a small group, and a very personal experience with an amazing guide. Hats off to Super Mario for giving us insider tips and not just driving us and leaving us to explore on our own. He really made the effort to personally guide us, tell stories about the park, hang out like a little family and help everyone take pictures and make memories. He really made the day so special and it was a highlight of my trip. They’re a small, local family owned company, and definitely worth supporting their hard work! It was a great day. Banff is so beautiful and having a tour bus to get us easy access to these gorgeous lakes made life easy. Our guide, Teddy, was funny, informative and approachable. Don't visit Banff without going to Moraine Lake.

They are the best tour guides! We opted for a private tour and it was so nice to have the day planned out for us and to have the van to our little group. We were able to see the most beautiful lakes in Banff and learn a lot about Banff, Calgary, and the surrounding area from, Luis (our tour guide). He knew just when to stop talking during the tour to give us a break too. :) We also interacted with 2 of the other guides with this company who helped us navigate the trails at Moraine Lake. They were all so kind and helpful! Seeing the lakes in Banff is a MUST if you are in the area. And there was a new rule implemented that only tour buses can access some of the lakes parking spots so be aware of that if you're planning a visit during the summertime. I would definitely recommend this tour group. The vans are nice, the guides are nice, and the itinerary was perfect.

The trip is wonderful. We can visit the most significant places in Banff national park. The most amazing part is our guide, Angel . He is professional and share the knowledge and funny stories about the park with us which highlighted our day trip.

We did this tour in mid June 2025. Teddy was our guide, he was knowledgeable and fun. We enjoyed the tour very much and loved his sense of humor and his music on the bus.

This tour and experience was one of the highlights of my trip! We stayed in Calgary and the option to be picked up and dropped off at a location near where we stayed was optimal! The tour guide was exceptional providing us with information about all the stops along the way. We were fortunate to see some wildlife, a black bear and a wolf!! I highly recommend Rocky Mountain Trips for this excursion.

Had a good time doing this tour even if it was drizzling when we went to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. 5 stars go to Marco for taking the time to find the wildlife for us even though only a deer showed up. It was fun touring around with Marco as our guide.

Tito made this tour AWESOME! Of course the scenery was breathtaking, but he was so personal and kind to all attendees. He knows so much about the area and is passionate about Banff, its wildlife and natural history. Tito is also a master photographer and will take stunning pics for you!

This was a lovely trip with a very good tour guide Mario who was on his first trip by himself who was very professional in his attitude to his tour clients.

I booked this tour because I had only few days in the Rockies and it was the best dessition to make the most with my time. They pick up you up at your location and the first stop is Lake Louise. Very nice but a bit crowded though. After that, Lake Morraine. You spend at least 1 hour in each lake and the 2 hours in Banff. Enough time to explore this little town either to have a coffee, lunch, some shopping or a nice walk. The day finishes at Lake Minnewanka just before the sunset. Very nice as well but the two first lake are really breathtaking. Marco, our tour guide was very nice, very focus on the details, he even brought me to the best spot to take picture and he explain to us a lot of interesting details about the area. You also have free time yo o on your own. For me that was the perfect mix, with information, freedom and amazing landscapes. If you are just few days in Calgary, I highly recommend this trip as it cover all the most beautiful places of the Rockies and the service is brilliant.
