What an absolutely fantastic experience exploring Banff National Park and Lake Louise! 🏔️🇨🇦 The scenery was simply breathtaking, with stunning lakes, snow-capped mountains and incredible views at every stop. Our guide, Mario, was absolutely fantastic! He was friendly, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and entertaining, making the whole day even more enjoyable. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, this was a particularly special experience for us, and Mario helped make it truly memorable. We loved every minute and would highly recommend this tour. Guide “Super Mario” was super. Itinerary was flexible to account for many attractions already closed due to lateness of season. Recommend others get here before 15 Oct. Scenery is still spectacular.

We booked 2 excursions with Rocky Mountain Trips and we were not disappointed. We appreciated that both Luis and Tito added extra stops on each tour that maximised what we saw in our short time in the Rockies. The guide Luis had a wealth of knowledge on the local area, giving us key advice at every stop to ensure we got the most out of our visit. He also gave us recommendations on where to eat and showed us where the best spots were for photos, even taking them when we needed him to. Our group was 23 people as we had the larger minibus, but this didn’t impact on the experience that we had on this tour. Luis was so friendly and chatted to everyone on the tour making us feel so welcome. The incredible sights, relaxed atmosphere, fantastic guide and the comfortable minibus made for an enjoyable experience that exceeded our expectations. If you are visiting the Rockies, you should definitely book with Rocky Mountain Trips.

I had the pleasure of taking the Explore Banff National Park & Lake Louise Day Trip with Rocky Mountain Trips in October 2026. Rock Mountain Trips is a family-owned company and the personal, unhurried experience it provided was excellent. Our guide on the day, Mario, was excellent. He provided information about the beautiful places we visited and went out of his way to ensure that each guest enjoyed the trip to the maximum extent. Mario also had great recommendations about where to eat - and not to eat - in Banff which was very much appreciated. If you are visiting Calgary and want to explore Banff, I cannot recommend Rocky Mountain Trips more highly.

The 5 star rating is driven by two factors. The first is the gorgeous beauty of Banff. The second is the professional excellence of the tour guide, Luis. He values his customers and provides exceptional value. It was an all day event seeing three lakes, waterfalls, and experiencing the town of Banff.

Very on time with plenty of time on each site. Insightful information throughout the trip. Gave a little history lesson of the region and what to expect. Lots of tips on the best views of the destinations.

I generally don’t like tours, but because of our schedule, I booked a tour with Rocky Mountain Trips to Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. It was an excellent trip and totally worth the price. It was a fantastic tour. For a relatively low cost, Rocky Mountain Trips showed us some of the key sights in Banff National Park. We saw Lake Louise, Lake Moraine, Lake Minnewanka, Banff town, Banff Springs Hotel and Bow Falls. For a first-timer like myself, these areas really show the beauty and essence of Banff National Park. I think the selection of the sights to show the audience was perfect, and the duration spent at each location was also perfect. Our guide, Luis, was fantastic. He was very informative about the national park and was super friendly and funny. He had a very warm attitude, and I felt super comfortable throughout the entire tour. He even gave me a 10% discount at Banff Social for lunch during the town visit. I think this tour is perfect for someone who is visiting Banff for the first time and also does not have a car, as the pickup and drop-off were in Calgary. I got to see the main highlights of Banff in a day and felt fulfilled from the tour. Amazing!

This is definitely one of the best tours I’ve joined. I was afraid my 7 year old would be bored, but Mario, our guide, kept us entertained with the fun facts of Rockies and his upbeat playlist. The day was well planned and we had ample time to appreciate the beauty of Mother Nature, walk around and took beautiful pictures without feeling rushed. He gave us great suggestions about where to have lunch and get souvenirs. I’d definitely join their tours next time I go to Canada.

This was the perfect way to see all of the great spots in Banff. Our driver, Teddy, was prompt, informative and delightful. We met him in Canmore at the pickup spot on time. He began telling us about the mountains and history around us almost immediately. He had so many great insights about the areas we visited - Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, downtown Banff, Bow River Falls and LakeMinnewwanka. He also had a superb playlist for the "quiet" times along the ride. I highly recommend this tour and especially this driver.

We had the most extraordinary day with Luis as our guide. Every destination was prepped with wonderful historical, geological and biological information, exceeded only by the wonders of the views nature provided. What a fabulous day enjoyed with new friends from around the world. Lujs, you have a gift.

Our group of six took this tour the first day that we arrived in Banff. It gave us a great overview of the park and provided us with ideas of where we’d like to further explore, as well. I recently did the Banff day tour with Rocky Mountain Trips, and it was such a wonderful experience. Everything was really well-organized and well-paced, and from the moment we got on the bus, it felt less like a tour and more like travelling with family. Teddy was an amazing guide. He shared lots of interesting information along the way, had a great playlist for the drive, and gave us fantastic recommendations for things to do and see in Banff. He was also incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout the day. I was travelling while pregnant, and Teddy went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable, which I really appreciated. It was clear that he genuinely cared about everyone having a great experience. The scenery was, of course, absolutely breathtaking, but what made the trip so memorable was the warmth and care that Teddy and Rocky Mountain Trips brought to the experience. Our tour guide, Angel was absolutely fantastic, professional and knowledgeable. He drove the vehicle very safely. The tour lasted about 11 hours and we covered 6 locations. Also the group size was small (9 including myself), so everyone was comfortable. Overall, an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend this to travellers looking for a good tour of the Banff and surrounding area.

Angle was our tour guide, this was an exceptional tour, simply amazing. Angle was the best tour guide I’ve had in a long time. Teddy welcomed us with genuine kindness and shared his incredible knowledge of Johnston Canyon, Lake Louise, Banff town and poignant history that depicted the Canadian Rockies and the people who were significant in creating beautiful Banff. Teddy captivated us with his stories of Banff and always cared for all of us as we navigated our way through the snow. His recommendations for great eateries in Banff were spot on! Ted made our experience special, he was very informative, friendly and accommodating. We learned a lot about Banff, it's history and facts we didn't know about. He took great pictures and assisted us at each stop. He always puts our safety first. It was my friend's first time in Banff and Lake Louise and we truly enjoyed it.

We had the pleasure of doing this tour while we were in Calgary. It was an incredible experience with a wonderful group of people. The scenery was breath taking. Our tour guide, Teddy, was wonderful. he made sure we had enough time at each stop, we never felt rushed or that we were taking too long. He share information at each stop as well as during the drive. He both answered and asked questions and joked around with everyone, he did all of this in a way that felt like we were in visiting a friend who was proudly showing us around. When we were in Banff and had some time to check things out, shop and grab a bite to eat he made some recommendations but did not pressure any one place nor did he hover. We met two other folks from the company, including Founder, Tito, who where also hosting tours and the friendliness and welcoming nature from them was the same. We have done tours before and I will share that this was one of the best experiences, it truly felt more personal, like a friend sharing his backyard and showing us around. Everyone left having made new friends with those on the tour and with Teddy as well. Thank you Rocky Mountain Trips and Teddy for such a wonderful experience full of beauty and laughter, we will definitely be booking with you the next time we are out that way
