Banff Morning Tour Scenic Highlights And Gondola Ride

Tom picked us up for a wonderful tour of Banff and visiting the highlights of Banff. Tom was a great guide & was quite knowledgeable. We then went to the Gondola for the afternoon which was amazing!! Thank you for providing us with a memorable experience in Banff!!

I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH my tour guide/driver BUFFY was absolutely incredible. She was extremely knowledgeable about Banff and the surrounding areas and taught me a great deal about Canada. She has such a kind and natural way of making the experience interactive and personable including the use of props. She has a beautiful soul and is truly an asset to the company. I would definitely recommend this trip. 10/10!!!

I don’t tend to like tours, however, this one may have changed my mind on this. Our guide was Erin who was very good at keeping the balance right between talking when driving and giving information but allowing us space once at the spots. The spots we went to very fantastic, photo opportunities were amazing- we had really good weather. Timing for Banff gondola was really good. We really enjoyed the whole tour including the gondola which we will review separately. Brody was waiting for us when we came down from the gondola and was so amenable to the group taking requests for where to drop people. I can’t recommend this company and tour enough - they were brilliant

Excellent tour with lots of stops for photo opportunities. Rob was an excellent guides. Gondola ride was well worth while with beautiful views. Picked up by another pleasant young driver for the return drive to Banff. Able to see wild elk and sheep. Excellent punctual and professional service.

Excellent opportunity to see more of Banff and surrounding area. The gondola ride was amazing even though it was raining and completely overcast when we got to the top! The experience was great and our driver/guide, Tomas was excellent.

For a mere 50 dollars Jake left my wife on one of the trails furthest from our hotel - worth every penny!!

Great tour including Marine Lake, Lake Louise, Lake Louise Gondola and Lake Minnewanka Michaela the guide was informative kind and funny The trip culminating with a black bear walking across the road in front of our van Magical family day

We were given plenty of time at each stop which included Bow River Falls, Cascade of Time Garden and Lake Minnewanka. Animals spotted included elk, bighorn sheep and even a chipmunk! We had great weather so the gondola ride and views from Sulphur mountain exceeded expectations. A trip not to be missed

Our private transfer guide Cris (Cristino) was an absolute treasure find. Hilariously funny, whitty, knowledgeable and entertaining. He made our trip from Calgary to Banff such a joyful experience and totally deserves this 5 star review… great man 😄

Cannot recommend them. They had us packed into a van which tried to fit 3 seats across and also an aisle... far too cramped. My wife did stay, and enjoyed the tour, but I was so uncomfortable when the guide picked us up that I got off... goodbye $100+ dollars.

Neil was an awesome guide in Banff — friendly and funny. He shared so much interesting history and info about the mountains and different spots we visited. You can tell he genuinely cares and stories/knowledge about wildlife are fun too. His history degree definitely came in handy 😄 Only small suggestion: the hot chocolate stop at the beautiful Two Jack Lake would have been even better with a proper little reststop instead of standing by the road juggling drinks, phones, and maple cookies . Neil was the most amazing tour guide. So knowledge & approachable. He gave us a great tour & we saw a Woolf & white dear even before the Gondola which was totally amazing. A great tour company who go above & beyond your expectations so you ensure that you get the best.

Jake was a great guide and bus driver. Very knowledgeable and friendly. He took us to so many beautiful places. Gave us all the info we needed about the amenities. Every stop was breathtaking. It was a fun day. Jake is a handsome guy too. Thank you.

We did the half day around Banff wildlife and Gondola tour and then the following day the Lake Louise and Moraine lake trip. Both times our guide was Neil. Both trips were excellent. We were picked up on time from our hotel and taken around the various stops with times to take on various viewpoints and highlights. Buses were comfortable and Neil was an excellent guide. Relaxed and extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. He made sure we were comfortable and kept us up the date at all times with timings, what to see etc . We would recommend both of these trips and this company if you are staying in the Banff area.

A great way to start your stay in Banff providing an overview of the National Park Bannf town and the Rocky Mountains. Neil our guide was a huge source of information on “ All Banff” and his love and pride of the area was evident to me throughout. Neil encouraged questions on any subject although to be fair we had trouble thinking of anything else not covered by him. We also went on the Gondola ride which is spectacular and worth doing in my opinion. The walk to the summit can be done in the timeframe but you do need to watch timings. Watch out for Neil’s trick questions 🤭 They keep you in your toes and add to his repartee and humour to make the day fun as well. Thanks Neil Five stars all the way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We did the wildlife sightseeing and gondola tour yesterday. What a fabulous trip! Spenser was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable and helpful and a lovely guy. Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone visiting Banff.

Our guide was Neil Evans. His ability to describe the various sites we visited was outstanding, and his willingness and ability to answer the many questions that were presented to him was perfection. Furthermore, during the travel time between stops, Neil discussed the history of the city of Banff, the National Park, and many of the buildings and monuments that we passed. In addition to all that, his attention to the needs and comfort of our group was excellent. I would recommend Discover Banff Tours to anyone who would visit this wonderful city and national park.

Our guild Heidi was fun and informative, it was just the right length of tour, plus she gave us amazing photography tips!

Neil was excellent. He was so knowledgeable about the mountains and wildlife. We really enjoyed the tour especially the gondola. We highly recommended this tour.

The tour did not start off well. The sliding door of the van wouldn’t open and there was six of us stuck. The driver/guide Neil had to phone their office to get help. We finally got out and into another van. The replacement van had trouble starting after every stop but he got it going every time so we managed to finish the tour

Eli was our guide. Very personable and knowledgeable young man with personal stories about mountain hiking and bear encounters. Tour included many scenic views and the Banff gondola ride was a great experience. Ask for Eli. He’ll deliver an excellent tour.

Beautiful and very interesting tour Spencer was very helpful and excellent tour guide and good photographer for his clients. Highly recommended this tour and Spencer as guide. The gondola is a good view of the valley. Definitely do the gondola scene and have lunch at the top

Neil was a fantastic guide who arrived on time, was friendly and highly knowledgeable. A great way to spend our first morning in Banff with a local guide with such expertise, in a small group. Really glad we booked this “Banff 101 tour”. Highly recommend.

My guide Georgia was great! She was so positive, fun and engaging. Georgia was extremely knowledgeable and told us all we needed to know about Banff and its beautiful surroundings. I hope I have another Discover Banff tour with her again soon.

This was a gorgeous tour of the areas surrounding Banff. It was cloudy with a bit of rain but still beautiful. The gondola ride gave us fantastic views of the entire area of Banff. Lucy, our guide was fantastic. I loved her British accent and want to say "Hi" to her mum! :) She gave us so much information about everything we were seeing, was very sweet, provided us with umbrellas and was an all-around great tour guide.

Georgia was an amazing and kind tour guide! Great for families! We had a pram and little ones and she took care of us. I also love that she’s Australian! Brought back memories when I worked in the Royal flying Doctor Service … great chatting with you Georgia!

Great host. Knew his stuff. Got to see some amazing sights and animals. Funny too. Saw a couple of male elk, which was great.

What may have been a lackluster tour due to the rain was made much better due to our tour guide Sam Noble. Very down to earth and charming guy, and quite knowledgeable about Banff and the wildlife. He explained how to identify the different types of elk by their butts which was funny but also interesting. He went above and beyond, making sure when wildlife appeared that we got a good look at it. We once saw wildlife behind the bus, and he did a full loop to make sure we saw it well.

We had an amazing tour with Evie!! She was super knowledgeable and fun. She made the tour feel quick and enjoyable. I would really recommend this tour as well as asking for Evie!

We took this tour today. It was excellent. So many interesting places and plenty of time to stop, look around and take photographs. We finished up at Banff Gondola. So good. The views were phenomenal. We loved every minute of our tour today, which was definitely enhanced by our guide Lucy Davies. She was very knowledgeable and funny too. And just to finish, for Lucy's mum Emma. You should be very proud of your girl, she is doing a grand job. ❤️

Discover tours stranded our group of 13 people from Australia. They took our money 8 months in advance and did not show day of tour. They lost our reservation and when this was discovered they did nothing to try and make it right or provide a refund. Terrible customer service. Brewster tour the day before were excellent. Use them and not Discover!!

What a great morning seeing the best of the Banff national park with our wonderful guide Tina! She had great knowledge of the area and was able to share this with us in a most friendly manner. The gondola ride was an amazing experience and we had a lovely lunch in the Bistro at the top. We were blessed with very hot weather (27 degrees) so the cool air at the summit was most welcome. Thank you Tina for a great day.

We had an amazing day. Jake and Kieran were excellent. We were in a small group and the guides put a lot of effort in to making it fun. We stopped at lots of vantage points , saw plenty of wildlife. We finished with the gondola ride. We learnt lots about the area and felt it was great value. We kept to time.

The tour was good although the hot springs was missed out. Gondola ride fun and worth the trip but you can do this Gondola journey using the No.1 Roam bus that runs along the main road. Some hotels give free passes. Buy your Gondola ticket at the site and get No.1 bus back to town at your leisure. The guided Ros and Lucy were excellent. Hi Lucy's Mum 😁😁
