The Fairmont Palliser Hotel

We had our wedding at the Palliser in September and the service was incredible. Every member of the team went above and beyond to make our experience wonderful. From the friendly bar team and waitstaff to the front desk and housekeeping- they really thought of all the little details to make our day special. The kitchen and pastry team accommodated all of our foodie requests, which really wowed us and our guests. My brother said it was the best food he ever had at a wedding! The venue itself was very regal, which fit our wedding style perfectly. Even though it was raining all day, we didn’t really notice because luckily our wedding was all indoors in the beautiful Alberta Ballroom. Finally, the biggest thank you to Nicole, the event manager who literally walked us through every step of the wedding planning process. We felt so at ease because of her friendliness and professionalism. Overall a lovely experience and we will look back on this day with happy memories.

In 2025, we had a disappointing experience that left a sour impression and made us question a tradition our family values deeply: staying at the Fairmont Gold at The Palliser at least once a year. After sharing our feedback in an online review, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Dennis within an hour. He took the time to listen, understand our concerns, and genuinely cared about making things right. That level of personal attention is exactly what I expect from the Fairmont Gold experience. Dennis convinced us to give the hotel another chance, and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we made our reservation until the day we checked out, every aspect of our stay was exceptional. The true measure of outstanding hospitality isn't how you feel during your stay, it's who you still remember after you've returned home. I realized I had forgotten to update my review and it was 4 months late! Yet I still remembered the people who made such a lasting impression. Dennis, Winkie, Neha, and Sammy all went above and beyond to make us feel genuinely welcomed and valued. Their attention to detail, warmth, and commitment to service ensured that everything from the food and room to the overall ambiance exceeded our expectations. Thank you for reminding us why we fell in love with the Fairmont Gold experience in the first place. We look forward to returning again.

My stay had a mix of positives and negatives. Initially, I was disappointed with the room considering the price. I was expecting amenities like a hot tub, the room felt quite dry, and it took some time to cool down. The shower also had a few issues. That said, the room itself was modern, clean, and well-finished. I would note that if you prefer a firmer mattress or have back problems, the beds may feel a little softer than expected. What really stood out was the service. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and professional, from the front desk team to the supervisor or manager who welcomed me at check-in. When I raised concerns about the room temperature, a maintenance employee named Jeffery responded promptly and professionally. He helped get the room cooled down, assisted me with some Wi-Fi issues, and even showed me a couple of websites that make it easier to reach hotel Wi-Fi login pages. Since I’m not very tech-savvy, I really appreciated that he even wrote them down for me. While the room itself wasn’t perfect, the excellent customer service throughout the hotel made a big difference. The staff genuinely cared about making my stay better, and I left much more satisfied than I expected after my initial impressions.

I don’t know where to start. I had the most incredible experience of my life. Neha is the most beautiful person I’ve met. I have not felt so much joy 🤩 thank you for making our anniversary so memorable and extra special. Dennis was also fantastic. The service was incredible from these two lovely humans. I cannot thank you enough! The hotel is gorgeous and I will definitely be staying again 🙏🎉💕
