Sunshine Mountain Lodge

I've been meaning to write this review for a while. I'm roughly 5 months late to writing this. Better now than never. came here just for a massage at Cedar + Sage Spa at the lodge while my husband was out skiing and my masseuse, Nikki, was absolutely amazing. It was the most glorious massage i've ever had. She was kind, attentive and strong that erased the months of stress that I've been holding away. I think about Nikki's massage to this day and I always hoping to find someone is as good as her in the city I live which is NYC. On a fun note, after my massage, she gave me some pretty good music recommendations. I really hope she gets the recognition she deserves.

Has a very bad stay at Sunshine Mountain Village. Had booked 2 nights with them for my wedding anniversary trip in the Rockies. Very poor service, have never seen such a pathetic customer service. The only good thing about this resort is the location. They ensured they screwed up my anniversary trip. The ladies at the reception are not fit for their job and so is the manager. Most pathetic part is one of the lady server at the restaurant. She was such a mess, when I explained the bad experience I had on my dining on the 1st day of the stay, no action taken. The ladies at the reception giggled and said she probably was new staff. Have never seen such irresponsible behaviour ever. I will never recommend this place for stay to anyone. Come for a day, enjoy the village and its views and stay somewhere else.

Everything was five stars, service, rooms, location, and amenities! Super easy using the lift or scheduling a shuttle, and we loved the s'mores time while meeting fellow travelers and staff. We only stayed one night, and recommend at least two (minimum) to really enjoy everything.

⭐ 1/5 — EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE I highly DO NOT recommend staying here. At the time of booking, nowhere was it clearly stated that the rooms do not have air conditioning or a refrigerator. It also was not made clear to us that this is a ski resort with no direct vehicle access to the rooms and that you have to rely on a shuttle just to get back and forth. While we were waiting for the shuttle, we personally saw at least six different guests come down complaining about how unbearably hot their rooms were and that there was no air conditioning. That should tell you something. Our room was reading 77°F, and with no A/C there was no reasonable way to cool it down. The sleeping conditions were extremely uncomfortable and, in our opinion, completely unacceptable for a hotel stay. We ended up CHECKING OUT THE SAME EVENING because we did not feel the sleeping conditions were reasonable or comfortable enough to stay the night. Had these major details been clearly disclosed during the booking process, we absolutely would NOT have booked this property. Very disappointing experience and a complete waste of our time. Future guests should be made fully aware of the lack of A/C, lack of a refrigerator, and limited vehicle access BEFORE paying for a room. ⭐ 1 STAR — WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN.
