This hotel is located on Lake Louise with stunning views. There is a walking path along the lake that makes your morning walk truly spectacular. The hotel itself is first class. It is beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is amazing. They have a variety of hot options and a a buffet that is included. The buffet is huge with fresh fruits, breads and delicious smoked salmon. Our room was clean and very comfortable, though a little on the smaller side. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

We came for the history of the hotel and the location but we’ll also remember the customer service and facilities the hotel offers. Danica welcomed us and checked us in. She is a great ambassador for the hotel. Also, the concierge, Jenny, gave us lots of tips and was helpful booking some activities. We were very happy to have a lake view room. The views are breathtaking! We highly recommend this hotel.
Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is as close to heaven on earth as a hotel gets. Waking up to Lake Louise with the Victoria Glacier sitting at the far end of the valley is something photos genuinely cannot capture. That turquoise water framed by the surrounding peaks is breathtaking in every direction. The property matches the setting. Pure luxury throughout, beautifully maintained, and the service was excellent at every point. Staff were warm and professional without being intrusive. Visiting in summer, with the lakeshore in full green, was unforgettable. Food and drinks were phenomenal across the board, and the setting made every meal feel like an occasion. A once in a lifetime experience and an absolute must visit. Five stars without hesitation.
The location of Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is absolutely spectacular, and the service is very good. The staff was attentive and professional throughout our stay. That said, in my opinion, the hotel is overrated for the price you pay. We booked a Junior Suite for five people, and I was surprised by how small and ordinary the room felt, especially considering the category and price. The bathroom was also extremely small and definitely below what I expected from a hotel of this level. You are really paying a premium for the Fairmont name and, above all, the incredible location on Lake Louise. The setting is truly unique and worth experiencing at least once in a lifetime. The Glacier Water Experience is also definitely worth doing and was one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, the service and location are excellent, but when it comes to the rooms and overall value for money, I think it is simply too expensive for what you actually get. I would still recommend staying here once for the experience, but with realistic expectations.
Overall I was disappointed with this Fairmont compared to the experience at Fairmont Banff Springs. My room in the temple wing required me to walk about a kilometer and take 2 elevator trips (first to the fifth and then the third floor) to bypass ongoing construction, and the AC did not cool the room at all. Luckily I was here early enough that opening the window made it acceptable, but good luck in August. Also my room was clearly a suite cut in half during remodeling, leading to an extremely odd bathroom configuration that was large but had a shower I could barely fit in as a fairly small dude. The hotel is in an excellent location that has immediate access to a number of great hikes and views. However, the internals of the hotel are extremely hostile due to severe overcrowding. There is a single unmaintained shared space for hotel guests to exist in without additional payment, with a broken coffee machine and overflowing trashcan. The rest of the hotel is a sea of the overbooked hotel guests and large number of non-guests who have access to the hotel and restaurants, making it unpleasant to try to get around in the hotel. Finally, I had some petty detail issues: room service carts full of leftover food left overnight in the guest halls, forgot my bags and I had to call down, recommended to just drink from the tap instead of being provided water, general lack of upkeep on the halls due to overexpansion. If this wasn't a 2000 dollar a night experience these would be forgettable, but if you charge this much you need to cover the details like they do at Banff Springs. This place feels understaffed and poorly managed. To wrap this, it's not all bad - the location still almost makes it worth, and the restaurants and Basin were great if you have additional money to burn. But for the price the service does not live up to expectations.
