This was such a blast. The level of communication was top notch. We understood when booking this experience that there was a potential we wouldn’t see the Northern Lights considering the weather conditions and time of year, however the wildlife scouting was FANTASTIC! Bob was so much fun and our new van friends have made some Moose memories for a life time.
Bob was a trooper!!! He was very engaged with all of us making us feel welcome and secured on this nighttime tour in Alaska:?)
Cancel if any changes are made to origi al plan/time. We traveled back and forth the same road and NEVER saw the lights. I have no opportunity to repeat the trip or give my ticket away. I should get a refund. Bad practice to not refund something.
Despite the weather didn’t cooperate so that we could see the northern lights, we learned a lot about the area and the science of how the lights show up. Arlen was a gentleman and took good care of us.
We did not get to see the Aurora, but our guide, Bob was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. Very informative!
Arlen the tour guide was great, five star and very well informed and interesting. If you can avoid going on a rainy day do try but it was still enjoyable .
The driver already knew that we was not going to see northern lights but didn’t not say nothing to us so we did nothing but drive around, we spent $875 to drive around and the event moved up two hours and a half and one of my guests cannot make it because the time moved up, would like a refund on that one Guest plus a refund for the rest of us because we did not see nothing but drive around
Bob was very knowledgeable and experienced, it left me with information learned. This is definitely a must see adventure.
Weather you see it or not! We’re not lucky enough to see the Northern Lights because it’s a cloudy night! But our tour guide Vinny is Amazing!!! Vinny is super nice! Offered us bottled water and candies! Professional, with great sense of humor! He is really in the right job!! In a short period of time you can feel at ease with him! Showed us the Portage glacier at night! The different short walking trails. Sunset at the bay! I can say, you really put a right person that really loved what he is doing! He also shared his experienced and how he loved Alaska after their vacation after 911 that he decided to move in Alaska coming from New York. What a nice experience! Vinny was part of our great memories in Alaska! ! Thank you Vinny!!!
Vinny our driver was excellent we would recommend him to anybody Treated us like family and we had a excellent time
Excellent tour even thought the northern lights were not visible. Our guide Bob was excellent taking us to other areas to see, especially Beluga Point.
This tour booking was phenomenal and absolutely deserving of 5 stars! The original description says the tour runs from 9 PM–12 AM, but because the Northern Lights are so dependent on changing weather and visibility, Carla and Bob really do their best to accommodate and make the experience special regardless of the conditions. The day we went, visibility was lower and the chances of seeing the Northern Lights weren’t looking as strong. They texted us earlier in the day to let us know and were very transparent about the conditions. Instead of just cancelling or sticking to the original schedule, they adjusted the tour to start at 7 PM and go until 11 PM so we could see the sunset and visit some other beautiful and special sites around Anchorage. I really appreciated how much effort they put into making sure we still had a great experience! Unfortunately, my flight was delayed and I ended up arriving in Anchorage hours later than expected. Carla was communicative and accommodating and helped coordinate everything so I could still meet up with the tour group once I landed. I was incredibly grateful that she and Bob made the effort to pick me up and go above and beyond to make sure I could join the tour. Bob, our tour guide and driver, was wonderful! He's present, grounded, sharp, and very funny. Which makes for a perfect tour guide, especially in Alaska where you can encounter wildlife! Throughout the tour, he shared much about the history, wildlife, and culture of Alaska. Even though the Northern Lights conditions weren’t perfect that night, I'm still very happy that I went and experienced the tour, and met some amazing fellow travelers. I am so grateful and appreciative of how flexible, thoughtful, and welcoming everyone was. This ended up being such a memorable part of my Alaska trip. THANK YOU SO MUCH, CARLA AND BOB!!! I truly appreciate everything you did for us and would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Anchorage!
With all due respect, this was a terrible tour. Not worth the money. Our tour was scheduled from 11:30pm - 3:30am for almost $200 per person. On the long drive, the only facts the guide said were things like “there used to be a strip club there”, and we were mostly sat in awkward silence. At one point during the trip some people in the van saw a moose but my window was completely frozen over so all I saw was ice. We got out once to see the lights and it was alright. Spent the rest of the 3 hours asleep.
Chasing Aurora is an art, a combination of both atmospheric science and some luck. Even though the weather condition wasn’t optimal, Bob still managed to bring us the best Aurora experience possible that night with his professional knowledge and warm hospitality as an Alaskan. If you are looking for an exciting Aurora adventure in the Anchorage area - Good news! You have come to the right place!
This was the trip of a lifetime, We spent 1-2 hours in the cold waiting for The Norther Lights, They can be hard to see from time to tine, Our guide Bob's knowledge and experience made the trip. This will be a life time memory for my son and I. The had lots of things we did not think of Hand warmers, blankets, coffee, and treats.
This wasn't a great tour. Our driver seemed unaware and unenthusiastic. We only went to two stops and saw absolutely nothing. And was back at our hotel 90 minutes early! I wish I could get a full refund.
Wonderful trip to see sunset at Beluga Point & Northern Lights with a thoughtful tour guide! Highly recommend!
This was a fantastic tour! Bob was so knowledgeable and his hot chocolate was amazing! He was thoughtful and super helpful to give us the best time.
Our driver Donna did a great job navigating and narrating the city as we waited and searched for the northern lights.
Didn’t see the northern lights. The tour operator couldn’t control that. However they didn’t do anything to make the experience more enjoyable. The guide was sick. She coughed and sneezed throughout the tour. We couldn’t understand her when she spoke into the headset. We sat in the van for 3 hours listening to her cough and two other people snore. There was no music or conversation, stories about the northern lights or anything. Just silence and no lights. Hopefully we didn’t catch whatever she has.
Our guide was very informative giving us a short history lesson on Anchorage. She was also very knowledgeable about the Northern Lights. It was an amazing experience that I will never forget.
They will really do everything they can to make sure you get to experience the aurora. Amazing communication as well.
I had a life-changing experience taking pictures of the Northern Lights. Although you are not guaranteed to see them, as you may see them on the internet, it is worth a try.
While I didn't get to see the Northern Lights due to clouds and despite a high KP index (aurora forecast), it was nice to be offered another a chance after the first attempt at no additional cost. I enjoy nature so being outside for a few hours at night was a pleasant experience in itself and out guide, Donna, did everything she could by taking us to various spots (and providing hot coffee and snacks).
Meet good people on this tour that may be friends for life. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun.
The location was not a good spot. We sat in a minivan all night turnoff. There were no circulation. The positive was the tour guide.
We had an amazing time. The lights were beautiful. Our tour guide was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. Everyone at the lodge was great. This was a Bucket List. Would highly recommend. Thank you so much
Excellent Tour guide, friendly and made you feel comfortable. Hospitable and Great driver! Took picture of me in front of lights!
The experience was amazing and well organized! Going to Alaska was an extraordinary opportunity to expand my cultural palette. We picked a great day and my memories will be forever 💖
This tour was life changing. We got a beautiful show of the Northern Lights. The staff was so nice and so accommodating. I will remember it always.
We had the good fortune to have Aaron as our guide as he drove from one site to another in the Seward area. Aaron was eager to ensure that our group enjoyed ourselves and were able to learn about the flora and fona of the area. Aaron has a wealth of knowledge and is very articulate in both English and Spanish. (A couple in our group was from Mexico.). We were transported in a very clean and comfortable van which added to the experience. Aaron took a number of pictures which he shared by text. For whatever reason my cell did not receive them in a useable format. I sent a text to Aaron report the issue. He responded immediately and the matter was resolved. I highly recommend the tour.
We had a great time, beautiful scenery and wildlife Aaron our guide was funny and very knowledgeable , he made the tour a lot more fun
Jules is a brilliant guide, speaks with clarity and passion. Her interest in History shines through and helps make the tour very interesting and informative. Getting photography tips was a super added bonus!
We did not see the northern lights. The chances are minimal. The guide was friendly and the transportation was good. They took us to a good spot. It is very unlikely to see the northern lights.
He showed me a couple of places, which I thought was a shame. We went on your northern lights tour last night and had an amazing time thanks to Arctic Range Adventure... I had applied for a back fishing tour, but it was cancelled on my own and I can't speak English on the phone. I took the Üba taxi to the office and there was no one there, I took the Üba taxi again and came back ♪ I haven't even confirmed the refund yet! I emailed him twice and he didn't respond.
