Great little tour — the chocolate was excellent, totally unique, and the wines were fabulous. A really enjoyable experience from start to finish, with a great mix of flavours and something a bit different to enjoy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing day out.

Fantastic time- as a solo traveler, this was a great tour to get to know some of the history of Alaska while also connecting with others. Would highly recommend.
Organizer/owner/driver did NOT appear and did NOT pick our group up. I lost time and money. What a disappointment!
There are not enough words to describe how amazing this tour was. Chris was waiting for us when we got to the meet up point and drove us to 61° Winery, a woman-owned winery with a tasty selection. Chris presented us with 6 chocolates to not only just taste, but learn how to appreciate the chocolate. My favorite was between the Birch Toffee and the Pink Himalayan Salt. We were presented with a flight of 5 wine selections, appealing to our interests. I chose 2 reds, a white, a rose, and my favorite - Vanilla Bourbon, a dessert wine. While our tastebuds were being attended to, our minds were being entertained by Chris with some awesome history about Alaska. We were entranced by the stories he shared. Chris also provided us with some restaurant selections so if he says it, take it seriously!
Elizabeth was friendly and knowledgeable and brought us to local eateries that we have never found on our own. She was born in Alaska so she was able to share stories about riding her bike to the ice cream place that we enjoyed. Also enjoyed her story about her first bear encounter at age 8.
Elizabeth gave a great tour. She was very knowledgeable and informative about the local specialty shops and general community activities . She explained the nuances of chocolate and craft wine making in the area. We enjoyed the chocolates and the various wines we sampled and were able to choose the wines we wished to sample. Overall a fun evening.
I loved all the stories about Alaska heroes while we sipped wine and nibbled chocolate. It was chill and fun
Chris was great. He helped us with chocolate and wine pairing while telling Alaskan stories. We had an excellent time all around.
It was a very enjoyable experience and would recommend doing. My husband and I went as a date night and had a good time. Also enjoyed the Alaska stories that came with the tour!
The chocolate and the wine were amazing, all natural and high quality. Chris was an amazing guide, very friendly, informative and goes above and beyond for a wonderful experience!
Absolutely great tour, we would recommend it to anyone who enjoys wine!! Great tour guide, location, and we ended up with a great bunch of people. We will go back to the winery in the future!
The winery and chocolate was great! We had a little extra time, so our guide took is up to see Hood Lake. Very accommodating and lots of fun. Must do in Anchorage!
The description was misleading when we arrived at the first stop to sample the chocolates we didn't experience making chocolate nor a rich history from the chocolatiers about how the chocolate was made. We each received three samples but had to ask for any additional. And then had to purchase our own chocolate bars. For $109 we should have each been able to get at least one complimentary bar to take with us. Second stop was the wine bar right down the street maybe five minutes away. We didn't receive a curated presentation about the wines. We were given a listing of the wines to select five and they were brought to us for tasting. Granted the wines were good but the 5 wine flights were only $25, we should have received the first flight of five and a second flight of three. The guide was nice and took us around a little however we could have gone to the chocolate store on our own and to wine bar for much less and spend maybe a total of $35 for a wine flight and a chocolate bar. It was over priced and we were all expecting a little more for the cost.
I enjoyed this experience a lot because, chocolate! wine! How can you go wrong? Chocolate is one of my favorite food groups but I don't normally drink. Somehow I just felt like throwing caution to the winds. Chris drove us to a local business that creates chocolate and provides tasting experiences. It was a place I'd never have found on my own even though I live locally. Tasting a few different types of chocolate while rating them was surprisingly fun. Then the wine place! There was a small seating area with a nice electric fire to sit beside and the owner provided a wine menu from which you could choose up to 6 different wines. I enjoyed hearing other people's choices. I love sweet flavors so I choose the berry wines and a couple of ports. The servings are small and there were pieces of chocolate from the previous chocolate place to enjoy between sips. It was very relaxing. The owner is friendly and responsive to questions. You can tell she knows her stuff. She steered me right when I told her the flavor types I like. Extremely nice wine! Chris gave a good tour with comments and stories. I think this would be good for small celebrations or relaxing parties. Recommended.
Indulgent, informative, and utterly delicious! The chocolate and wine tour exceeded expectations. From velvety dark chocolates to rich red wines, every pairing was a delight for the senses. The knowledgeable guide shared fascinating insights, making each stop more than just a tasting, but a journey into the world of artisanal craftsmanship. A perfect blend of sophistication and indulgence, this tour is a must for any food and wine enthusiast. 5 stars! 🍫🍷
Most excellent tour of chocolate and wine! The chocolate was local and decadent and the wine was super impressive. The tour director was knowledge and helpful. Can't wait to go again!
