We had an absolutely incredible experience with David in Fairbanks. With so much cloud cover, we thought our chances of seeing the northern lights were slim. But David went above and beyond, chasing clear skies and giving us one of the most breathtaking experiences of our lives. Amazing experience!!! David was our guide and he was so well informed as well keeping up with the visibility. We had a different day plan but due to the weather they accommodated and switched our day. The whole time we chased, David took amazing pictures and made the experience so much better.

We had an amazing experience with David's Aurora Chasing Tour! We booked the tour that morning and were so lucky and grateful that we could join the tour later that afternoon! During our 8-day stay in Fairbanks, it was difficult to see the northern lights on our own. But thanks to David, we were able to see different and beautiful auroras at every spot he took us to. At the final stop, we even witnessed the incredible dancing aurora! David was professional, knowledgeable, and made us feel safe and comfortable throughout the tour, especially since I was traveling with my young daughter. It was truly an unforgettable experience and one of the highlights of our Alaska trip. Highly recommended!

Our group of seven joined the Aurora Borealis Viewing tour with Alaska Northern Lights on October 7th. Our guide, David, was exceptionally dedicated and responsible. He took us to several spots chasing the northern lights and captured photos of us using professional camera gear. Around 1:30 AM, just as we were heading back, David kept a close eye on the sky and suddenly made a turn toward a new spot. There, we witnessed the most breathtaking aurora of our lives. Within 15 minutes, a massive, vibrant curtain of lights danced across the sky like a rainbow. It truly made the whole trip worthwhile.

We joined the aurora chasing tour for two nights, and unfortunately, the first night was very cloudy, so we weren’t able to see the northern lights very clearly. 🥲 But our guides were just as disappointed as we were and didn’t give up! They kept driving around and searching for clear skies until very late at night, doing everything they could to help us find the aurora. Thanks to their dedication, we were still able to catch a glimpse of the northern lights through the clouds, even if only for a short while. Then, on our second night, it felt like the aurora was making up for the first night — it literally danced across the sky and gave us one of the most unforgettable moments of our lives!!! 🌌✨ A huge thank you to our guide for capturing this incredible moment in such beautiful photos. We’ll treasure them forever! If you’re coming to Fairbanks to see the northern lights, I highly, highly recommend this tour. David was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I was so impressed that he seemed to be able to see the lights before we did. Soon enough, they came out just like he said. He took us to several spots and took great photos of us with the lights. He is very passionate about what he does and im so glad we toured with him!

Fantastic experience! The night started out cloudy but being able to drive around to find the best spot worked perfectly! They had great communication from booking to photo delivery. The photographer was great. Would highly recommend this tour.

Excellent tour chasing the incredible Aurora

One of a lifetime experiences, checked in my bucket list. The guide was local (Cole) an very knowledgeable of the surroundings and Alaska in general. Our Pro photographer took amazing pictures, he was patient and accommodated out requests.

A friend of mine took this tour and recommended it, so I booked directly with David. He picked us up right on time and had already picked a spot where the sky was clear, even though it had rained the night before and was very cloudy. He gave us a heads-up on what to expect with the conditions, but to our surprise we saw the lights really well. He took as many photos as we asked for and shared them first thing in the morning. We couldn't have seen the lights or gotten such great pictures without this tour. It felt worth it.

We left the hotel in Fairbanks with cloudy skies. I thought our chance to see the northern lights was not going to happen because this was our last night in Fairbanks. However, David drove us south of Fairbanks about 30 minutes and the skies cleared. He went out of his was to “chase” where the lights were. In addition to the great pictures we took, David took several photos of us that all turned out great. We already received a link to download all the photos this morning. Highly recommend this tour.

We had a great northern lights experience before, during, and after our night out. The original schedule was for a night that turned out to be very rainy. We rescheduled for the next night with a cloudy forecast but hoped for the best as it was out last day in Fairbanks. Our guide and photographer David found the right locations during a cloudy night. We got some amazing pictures and also enjoyed David’s company and his interest in the aurora and his stories about the winters in Fairbanks. We will be back.

OMG!!! David was sooooo professional!! He really knows what he is doing! He didn’t only get us 1 but as many pics! Was so kind to explain it can be tough to see the lights due to extreme cloud cover. We had a group of 19 people on this tour which included 3 SUV's on a partly cloudy night. Our guide was so determined to find something for us to see. I believe it was our 3rd stop that we were able to see the green with our cameras. We were completely satisfied with our experience.

I booked this tour in early April, and it was an amazing experience! I felt so lucky and blessed to see the Aurora Borealis at multiple spots. The guide, David, was very experienced with 18 years of living in Alaska. He shared his chasing process with apps and took us to the best spots in Fairbanks. No lights were there, where it was perfect conditions to see the Aurora and take our own photographs with the beautiful Aurora backdrop! I could have even seen the shooting star and made a wish. We saw the dancing Aurora, and it was indescribable. My Alaska trip was all in for this Aurora, and I could have been more than happy that I could ever be while I was watching the picturesque lights over the sky. If you are a Harry Potter fan, the sky looked like the front cover of its 6th book: Half-Blood Prince. So mysterious and intriguing. I feel grateful for David and the agent who fielded questions before booking the trip and which date/time would be the best given our trip itinerary. I would recommend wearing ski clothes and gloves and bringing hot packs as it's late night in Alaska.

They even moved us to different locations just to make sure we could get even better photos, which I really appreciated. What a great viewing of the Northern Lights! Photographer/driver, David and driver, Cole, told us conditions were favorable but also cautioned that one never knows how brilliant the lights would be. We hit pay dirt. Greens, pinks, dancing lights, it was super! Our guides/hosts were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Highly recommend!

It was truly EXCEPTIONAL, and i think i cannot describe in words how deeply i was moved by the swirling auroras. I realized a joy that industrialized world brings can never surpass the awe that mother nature presents. It was just indescribable and insane that i didn't even dare to take my eyes off of the sky. This was a once in a life time thing without any doubts, and this team really enhanced our experience by driving us to good spots and taking high quality pictures (both group and solo) endlessly. l definitely want to chase aurora with this team again if i visit Fairbanks in the future.

Me and my son had the best experience seeing the a northern lights with this tour company. Our first attempt was not successful because it was very cloudy but got a second chance to do it again . And this time it was more that we could ever ask for, the Aurora borealis was very strong and was just showing off and it was dancing!! It was indeed spectacular!! Our driver David was the best! He was very patient in chasing Aurora looking for great spots and he always made sure we were warm enough and comfortable. They are always updating us for any changes, they are on time in picking us up. When you have inquiries and questions they email us right away to address it. This was such an amazing experience. David was awesome and his passion and enthusiasm for the auroras made the tour that much better! He took us to a few different spots with really cool photo opps and we were able to take as many professional pics as we wanted (which were all sent to us the next day)! When the lights were a bit dull, we moved on to the next until we hit a few bright substorms. Communication leading up to the tour was also great and we were well prepared because of it. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Fairbanks or the surrounding areas!

Seeing the aurora had been on my bucket list for a long time, and I finally got to experience it last week. It always felt like a distant, almost unrealistic dream, so I never imagined it would come true so smoothly. I did have some concerns about the extreme cold and staying out at midnight but the experience was so incredible that it completely erased all those worries. From the consultation, everything was explained kindly and clearly. Despite the freezing weather, the photographer showed amazing passion, moving between locations and putting in great effort to capture beautiful photos for us. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to make a once-in-a-life time memory!

Pickup First, I got a text about 20 minutes in advance that David was on his way and a photo of the vehicle picking us up. There were three other customers which they were great and everyone was very friendly. Before we started, David explained the process of how things would work and some housekeeping rules. First location We drove about 10 minutes and the stars were out. David checked his map and knew exactly where to go. He has 18 years of chasing the lights so I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We couldn’t see but once he told us where to position our cameras, we were able to capture the first faint sighting so we were thrilled. We stayed there for snout 20 minutes taking photos and headed to our next location. Second location This was the perfect spot! The percentage increased and it was a magical experience to witness. We stayed there for a long time just taking photos and taking in the view. David was even excited with us and I just appreciated his knowledge as well as his willingness to go above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. Third location The lights were still visible but faint. At this point, we were very cold and tired so we ended a little early but well worth it and got what I came for. If you think bc you are in a car waiting that you don’t have to be dressed properly, think again! Wear the proper gear if you don’t want your fingers and toes to suffer. Overall, I’m thrilled that I got to see the lights. If I hadn’t, I would have still been satisfied based on David’s service.

Cole, Joy, David were our incredible guides. Their knowledge and photography expertise made our bucket list experience so worthwhile. They took many wonderful photos to capture this surreal and spiritual experience. They did not give up until we saw the beautiful Northern Lights. Worth every penny. One of the most surreal and magical experiences of our lives! I took my daughter to Fairbanks to see the northern lights, and by a miracle we saw an amazing aurora! Our guide was awesome and took us to multiple locations, and we were able to end our night after just 3 hours because we saw such great lights so quickly! He was gentle, kind, and took great pictures for us to keep for years to come. I would definitely recommend! Highly highly professional and so many perks with this company. Will be back!

Although the aurora conditions were excellent that night, with KP 6, clear skies, and high solar activity, the tour did not deliver the experience that was advertised. The tour was supposed to last 4 hours, but it ended in less than 3 hours. We were also taken to only two viewing spots, both near the edge of the city, where light pollution made aurora viewing much less effective. Because of these poor location choices, we were not able to enjoy the aurora as we should have on such a strong night. The photography service was even more disappointing. The photos were blurry, shaky, and overexposed, making the sky look pale and unnatural. In fact, the pictures taken on our phones looked much better. The photographer also seemed unwilling to take enough proper shots. That said, our driver, Cole, was kind and helpful. He shared useful information, made sure we were comfortable in the cold, helped take some photos on our phone, and dropped us safely back at the hotel. Overall, the tour did not match what was promised in terms of duration, location quality, or photography. Overall, our experience with this tour operator was quite disappointing. I would advise other visitors to be cautious and carefully consider their options before booking a tour with this operator. Not recommend at all!

This tour is a must! Whoever comes to Fairbanks must book this tour.. This tour company is legit, and makes sure customers get to see the most amazing Aurora Borealis. David took us three different spots to see the fantastic Aurora Borealis and Cole explained well about the Aurora, local food, places to visit, etc. Grace was so helpful to plan my Alaska tour and she answered all my questions promptly. Went to Alaska in March hoping to see the Northern Lights. Signed up for this Photography tour and we lucked out with a spectacular night. The Aurora filled up the whole sky with brillant rays of green, moving in ribbons across the starfilled sky. David was a super-excited tour guide/photographer who made sure everyone got their pictures taken against this amazing backdrop. The link for all the photos was delivered next day. This tour was well worth the money and freezing toes!

We had fantastic views of the northern lights with David & Cole as our guides. The 6 of us rode in a comfortable, warm SUV and joined 6 others at our stops. We were the only group at all of our viewing areas. We enjoyed not having to navigate the Fairbanks area on our own in the dark as well as being able to get back into the SUV when we got too cold. Cole was friendly and engaging and made sure we were comfortable. David took great pictures and we enjoyed his enthusiasm.

If you’re not experienced in chasing the aurora, it’s better to choose this option—it’s more professional and helps you avoid driving in the dark, making it a safer choice.

Cole and David were fantastic guides! I was in Cole’s vehicle, and since he’s from Fairbanks, he was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. During the ride, he shared many interesting facts about Alaska and always made sure we were comfortable and warm. David was an excellent Aurora chaser. He knew exactly where to go and when to stay or move to another location. He was also very thoughtful about finding spots where the moon was less visible so we could get a better view of the Aurora. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and captured some fantastic photos. The vehicle is fairly small, so I recommend not bringing too many belongings. However, it’s a good idea to bring warm drinks, snacks, hand and foot warmers, and a warm winter hat to stay comfortable during the trip. Grace was my coordinator, and she was very thoughtful, kind, and communicative throughout the entire process.

Me and my girlfriend started off doubtful that we were gonna see the auroras due to the low index percentage. Our tour guides were not only helpful but very informative and social, making sure we were to see the auroras. It truly was a once in a lifetime experience and our guides only made it that much smoother. Highly recommended!

I honestly thought we were going to miss out because the lights were so blurry at first. But thanks to David’s persistence, we moved locations a few times and eventually saw the aurora dancing! They are experts at chasing. Definitely worth it!

It was amazing. Our guides were very knowledgeable and accommodating. We saw the northern lights dancing in the sky. Kp Index was low. But they were chasing the Aurora Borealis at 3 different spots. Photos were excellent. The photographer encouraged us to take as many photos as we wanted. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Great experience! Highly recommended.

Last night we were blessed to meet David and Cole and experience the northern lights like we never could have imagined. Led by David and his incredible energy, passion and knowledge combined with Cole’s background and experience , made this night absolutely magical and we couldn’t recommend it more.

I gave this 1 star and that was generous. I fully understand that the aurora isnt visible some nights. So, it was a disappointment that we didn't see it. However, I thought this tour would take us outside of fairbanks if needed and to many locations to try to catch a view. Instead, over 4 hours, our driver only took us to 3 locations within 10 minutes or so of each other. We sat in silence as he occasionally looked outside and then checked the aurora map on his phone. I at least expected our guide to share information about the aurora and even about fairbanks. But we just sat in silence in a car with 2 other couples for 4 hours. At the end, the driver offered to take our photos in front of the temperature sign and at the alaska map at U of A. Really? We declined the latter and went home truly puzzled at the lackluster experience. We heard that another tour group offered to reschedule for the following night at no additional charge. We would have been happy with that offer. But this tour group just gave a 25% credit. Truly disappointing. Do not use this group. There are many others. Check to see if they will offer another night if you dont see the aurora before you book.

What an incredible night! We started around 11pm ended the night around 2Am. We feel very lucky and blessed to be able to experience such a wonder. Another adventure checked out from my bucket list, David our guide/photographer went above and beyond chasing for a great spot. His pictures are wonderful, (picture perfect). He makes sure everyone in our group had a Kodak moment. Our driver was wonderful, very knowledgeable about his town and the northern lights. We had great conversations while David searched for a good spot for the northern lights. I totally recommend his tour.

However, the team went above and beyond to make it happen. ​Instead of giving up, they drove us to multiple locations, tirelessly searching for the perfect opening in the sky. Thanks to their expertise and persistence, we eventually found the ultimate viewing spot and witnessed the most breathtaking Northern Lights. ​ ​The guide worked so hard to capture the perfect shots. Thanks to their dedication, I walked away with the "photos of a lifetime." ​If I ever visit Fairbanks again, I will definitely book with them again without a second thought. If you want a team that genuinely wants you to see the lights, this is the one!
