We had a really nice time during this trip! We only caught a few fish but happened to be there on an incredibly sunny and warm day which made the fish swim lower so we couldn’t complain. Captain Moses and his son were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful on board. We also saw three orcas which also explained the disappearance of the fish. Overall it was incredibly cool!

Moses was an excellent guide for our family of four—my wife, our six-year-old daughter, my dad, and me. As a local, he clearly knew the waters and exactly where to take us. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip enjoyable for everyone, including our daughter. The results spoke for themselves: in just three hours, we caught 11 salmon! It was a great experience across three generations of our family and one of the highlights of our Alaska cruise. We would absolutely recommend Moses to anyone looking for a fun and successful salmon fishing trip in Ketchikan.

We had a great time with Justin! He made sure that even though we had a slow start with halibut, we had an exciting time with salmon. The scenery was gorgeous. The boat was comfortable. And the experience was overall, the highlight of our trip to Ketchikan! Thank you a thousand times!!

We were honored to be on Captain Reggie's boat. This is our favorite company for deep sea and for salmon fishing in Ketchikan. It's a family company with excellent skills, and very professional business practices. You only find super clean and well maintained boats and equipment. The fish love this !! Moses was great! We came in on a cruise ship, coordinating is always a little worrisome, however they reached out multiple times, confirmed pick up and drop off instructions. We got close to 60lbs of fish in about 4 hours. They definitely know what they are doing and where to take you! Boat was clean, they provided waters and sodas. Trip was great!

This was a wonderful fishing experience. Justin, our captain, was so enthusiastic about making sure we had a good experience. He put us right on the fish within minutes. We shipped our fish home so we could enjoy them in Florida. He is also great with kids! We have a 10 year old and he was so helpful in getting her to catch some fish. Overall, 10/10 experience. Recommend highly without reservation.

Captain Justin was extremely knowledgeable, incredibly caring, and we caught amazing fish on days when others really struggled. We always felt safe on his boat and both 8 hour days absolutely flew by! Owner Will and his son Reggie are some of the nicest guys in Ketchikan and we were treated like family. They did a fantastic job of processing our fish and boxing it up for us, making it super easy to transport home. No team wants you to catch fish and have the best experience more than Alaska King Charters. Thanks for the memories guys and can’t wait to come back!!!

First off Moses was an awesome captain and guide and on our first excursion, try as we may the fish weren’t biting, but every other boat and fisherman we spoke to had no luck that day either. Regardless, I booked for a second day (just myself) because we were so impressed with Moses. An hour out, his boss called and told him that another charter boat had broken down. He was told he needed to pick up a different group from a cruise ship, and that they could reschedule me some other time that weekend, even though this was Sunday morning, and we were leaving on Monday. In other words a group whose charter started after mine, was more important than I was. More important than my return business. The business with the cruise passengers was more important. So thanks for ruining my trip. I really hope Moses starts his own business so that we can frequent it instead.

The boat was on time and easy to get to. They docked next to the cruise ship. The boat is well equipped, and the captain was knowledgeable. We discussed our options and made a decision on where and what to fish for. We went earlier in the season but still caught six king salmon. The scenery is superb, and this is a great way to experience salmon fishing in Alaska. I recommend this as a doable cruise excursion that gives you an authentic experience while leaving time to experience Ketchikan. The fishing is also accessibile for kids and not too intense or difficult.

We had a great time fishing with Reggie! It was late in the season, so we were warned well in advance of our trip we might not catch much of anything. We decided to go out anyway, and we are glad we did! We hooked a few halibut, dog sharks, and rockfish in 4 hours. Reggie was a great guide for our trip and helped us learn about the area he calls home. We definitely recommend this experience!

We had a great fishing trip with Capt. Justin. Fishing was a little slow to start but his knowledge of the area and expertise paid off as he got us into halibut and cod. I would definitely go out with these guys again next time I'm in Ketchikan.

Very fun, exciting fishing experience! We caught more fish than I’ve ever seen. We had over 40 lbs of salmon to ship home. We also caught halibut but not lucky enough to get a keeper. Kevin was a great guide! Highly recommend. We booked this trip on our own, not through the cruise excursions and had no issues.

Highlight of our Alaska cruise. "Reg," who answered the phone, had a serious sense of service. Assured us our captain would be flexible for us if the seas were rough. (They were not rough!) Kevin, our captain, was the man! Knowledgeable, generous, hardworking, fun. And FedEx tells me our fillets are showing up here in Texas today!

It was not worth the money. Very expensive excursion - $2000 for the experience. In total, 3 people caught 4 fish. The captain could not go to better places to catch fish because the seas were too rough. In that case, the excursion should have been cancelled and a refund made. Further, this is the first off shore excursion that parties have had to purchase a fishing license. It’s always include. Viator really ripped us off on this one.

We booked this charter hoping to catch different fish species, enjoy stunning views, and maybe spot some whales and bald eagles — and that’s exactly what we got! We even fed a bald eagle, yes we fed a bald eagle!! Ian, our captain, made the whole experience truly wonderfull. Highly recommended!

Captain’s experience helped us to catch many salmon. The first mate, his dog Cho, spotted whales and eagles for us.

I can’t say enough good things about our experience with Alaska King Charters! Being a Charter Captain myself I recognize the effort and attention to detail that our Captain, Kevin put into our trip. We hit a slow period for the salmon bite so we focused on halibut primarily. Kevin was super attentive to the ladies and young guys with us and let me and Chris focus on fishing. He was a wealth of knowledge and didn’t mind answering any of our questions. The boat and all the gear was in top notch condition as well as very organized. The experience from booking to drop off was seamless and easy. We had a way better experience than most of the fellow cruisers that we spoke with that fished out of port that day. Highly Recommended!!

Our group had an amazing day of halibut fishing with Justin! He is a terrific guide. We started catching fish as soon as we dropped our lines. We all caught our limit and released several more. Justin is a a funny guy who kept us laughing in between bites. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with him again!

William was a great Captain. His vessel was clean and roomy, smooth on the water, and all combined, made our fishing experience outstanding. William has years of fishing experience in Ketchikan. We had the best fishing experience with William that we've had from a charter boat. William helped my 84-year-old mom have a bucket list experience. She loved it so much that she is looking forward to returning this year to fish with William again in the coming months. My wife and I also enjoyed ourselves and the day fishing with Captain William and Andrew. If my mom wants to go again, I'm game for another fishing experience with Alaska Salmon and Halibut Fishing Charters and Captain William.

Six of us on a rainy rough sea day. Captain Kevin efforts were more than expected. Did a admirable job meeting our requests. He was rewarded with an 8 -10 inch cod for his dinner. Fishing is how it is! The raining and rolling meant we didn't need to jig our lines......

This captain went above and beyond to make a dream fishing trip come true. He kept the experienced and novice fishermen engaged the whole time. I use the word fishermen loosely because it was really the women who hooked all the fish! If you have a choice he is the one to pick. His son Reggie was great with communication the whole time before we got there. Tight lines and smooth seas Captain!

Amazing and Memorable Experience with Friends!! Had Family members on a second fishing vessel with the same company and a Fantastic Time was had by all! Caught limit on Halibut and even pulled in some Cod fish, then Cranked heavy on Salmon Fishing grounds for another 14 to be processed and sent home after we arrive from our Cruise to Alaska! Boats were ready to fish as soon as we arrived in port from our cruise and we fished all the way up until the All Aboard call to get back to our relaxing cruise ship. They do it all for you and just allow you to enjoy yourself and fish!! Action on the water ways from the quick walk from the ship to the marina port dock located next door and immediately we were fishing- No time lost! Mike was our captain and he was super informative about the area and the species. We are from NW Florida and are used to deep sea fishing in the Gulf and Keys. Super different terrain in Alaska and technique, so an experienced captain that also does charter fishing during the Alaska off season down in the Keys, made for excellent conversation and instruction! This is our second time booking with Alaska King Fishing Charter, as we also booked directly with Sara and Vrej (when he was only 13 years old) in 2017 from a cruise we took then. It was so memorable then, that we booked directly again and booked a second boat for our family members and they had great catches also! Highly recommend this company and will do it a third time if the Lord allows us to return to Alaska!!!

Best captain, made the fishing easy and they were biting! We caught the limit of salmon, a couple halibut (had to release those cause it was Friday), even a shark!

Captain Justin was amazing from the get go! Was very knowledgeable about the area, fishing and his passion, music 😀. Once we anchored, he walked us two newbies through everything and for our friends who are pros, respect and guidance. He was so excited for us all with our pulls and genuinely happy to be out with us. Amazing and easy private excursion for those cruising to Ketchikan.

Justin was a wonderful fishing guide. Very friendly, and kind when explaining fishing tips to my 11 year old. He made us all laugh as well. The boat was great as it had an enclosed pilot house to shelter us from cold wind and sprinkles. Justin even helped arrange for our fish to be shipped back and kindly offered to add a little of his own person supply of fish so we had a variety to bring home. If you want adult beverages, do bring your own but the boat had plenty of bottled water.

William and Reggie were great! They were recommended by both our Air B&Bs and a number of locals we ran into during our trip. Reggie answered all our questions prior to booking. They both offered guidance and help on the boat. They listened to what we hoped to get out of our experience, and then did everything they could to make it happen. We had a great time, and would highly recommend.

We had awesome time with Mike. Great experience, learned a lot and we will be getting the salmons we caught delivered to our home. There’s a lot of tours available in Ketchikan and there no way to see/do everything, but if you had to pick just one, this is the tour to pick!

We had an amazing time! We took our dads for a Father's Day fishing tour. Our guide was patient with us, as we had 70+ year old and novices in the group. He assisted us in every aspect of our trip, from baiting, catching, paperwork, photos and the processing of our catch. It was the perfect day!

We had an incredible fishing trip with Mike! Fantastic company to work with from beginning to end! We are a family of 4 females plus my husband, and Mike was the BEST! He was patient, funny, and knows all about fishing! We caught our limit of halibut, made friends feeding scraps to Jerry the bald eagle and even saw a deer swimming in the ocean! He made our trip easy and enjoyable - great memories!

A wonderful trip! From pre-planning to the trip communication was excellent and perfectly coordinated. Our skipper/guide, Justin, was knowledgeable, accommodating and funny. Look no further than Alaska King Fishing Charter! Our guide Jeremie was fantastic, patient, and made my family and I feel safe and comfortable on our trip. While there is never a guarantee fishing, Jeremie confirmed we would hit, and hit in abundance we did. This was one of the better experiences of our trip to Alaska and without a proper guide, this could have been one of the worse. Thank you Jeremie for a memorable experience for my family and I!

My family and I had an amazing time. If I ever come back I’d definitely book with Jeremiah’s company. We caught 2king Salmon (pics to follow) a chum salmon, sockeye Salmon and a Silver Salmon. We also fed the eagles. Jeremiah and his wife soon to be “Capt.” Rebecca were amazing ppl with a great sense of humor. Definitely worth every penny.

William is knowledgeable and very friendly and made our trip to Ketchikan! We went pretty early in the season (late March) and tagged out on Halibut within the first two hours of our trip. Although we trolled for salmon we weren’t able to get on any. William made my daughter feel right at home and Cho was a fun addition to the crew. I would highly recommend King Charters for anyone looking to catch some delicious fish and crab! Worth every penny.

Kevin did a great job taking care of us. The gear was good quality and the boat was clean. We caught quite a few fish- silvers, halibut and other species. He delivered them to the processor for us. We will be back again.
