Jordan was absolutely amazing! Our trip exceeded our expectations! We caught tons of fish, had an amazing lunch, saw tons of bald eagles and Jordan was an absolute pleasure to work with! He was very knowledgeable, patient and overall a really cool guy! My husband and I truly enjoy the ENTIRE experience! The camp was awesome. They cooked our fish and we enjoyed campfire coffee, amazing lunch and a delicious dessert! Rate 20/10! Thanks sooooo much!

The highlight of our trip! Captain Patrick Hagan was personable, professional and knowledgeable. Boat and gear were top notch and we caught plenty of fish. The wilderness dining exceeded our expectations. Honestly, the fish lunch was so well prepared and warm apple crisp was a crowd favorite. This adventure is absolutely worth your time and money.

Great trip!!!! Didn’t have to go far and didn’t take long at all to catch a boatload of fish. Then took us to the island and they prepared the fish we called for a meal. The meal was phenomenal. Then was able to feed the Eagles. James Smith was our awesome guide. Overall, the trip was phenomenal. I will definitely do it again.

Captain Kinani is truly a relaxed and professional guide who gave us an amazing fishing expedition! Clean boat with a covered area for group of 4, boated to a serene cove, and quickly caught multiple rock fish - with a delicious dinner at a spectacular point on a island. Highly recommend!

Had an amazing afternoon fishing. Captain Steve put us right on top of the fish. Everyone caught something and it was great to go back to the shoreline camp and savour our catch in the natural surroundings. Who can put a price on such a great experience. Bear in mind you need an Alaska fishing permit.

This was such an amazing experience! Our guide James made sure we were well prepared and lead us to amazing fishing spots. After catching some fish we were brought to a little camp where our catch of the day was cooked up. I can’t begin to describe how delicious our meal was. 10000000000 recommended this tour.

It was so much fun!!! Tim took great care of us from the moment we arrived until the moment we left! He outfitted us with everything we needed…jackets, pants, boots, gloves!!! The weather cooperated and we had a lovely day fishing! Everyone in the boat caught a few fish. The camp was perfect! Had a great cup of campfire coffee and delicious rockfish cooked perfectly! Ahoy there!!! Well what can o say other than this one one of the absolute highlights of our whole Alaska / Canada Trip. Captain James Smith had exception sounder and fishing knowledge and put us on the fish every time. Add the great company and a couple of hungry eagles and it was a cracker day. My wife doesn’t really fish but she did on this trip and as you can imagine, our fished me. The rest of the crew who also chose this trip had a great day and I suspect I’ll be fishing with them at some point in the future in Australia. Do yourself a favour and book this trip - I’d also request Captain James - five star experience!!!

Alaska is beautiful! We enjoyed our day fishing and learning about new species of fish. Talon is an absolute darling young man with kindness and patience beyond his years. He was knowledgeable of the area and a true gentlemen. Our time at the camp was enjoyable, with hot coffee and a delicious fresh cooked meal. Would definitely book this excursion again!

Just an amazing day with Captain David Smithers at the helm. Beautiful boat, gracious service and we were on the fish in no time. David is a remarkable young man, super friendly, super knowledgeable about the region and the ecosystem and a genuine pleasure to spend the day with. Highly, highly recommended!!

We went on this fishing excursion in August 2026, and had a great time! Landon was a fantastic tour guide! His knowledge, help, and friendliness made this a very enjoyable trip. The dining experience at the end far exceeded our expectations.

We booked through our Cruise. Steve was there to greet us right as we got off the boat. Steve was an awesome host(his doggos too, they were our co-captains and so sweet. Steve got us to the boat promptly and made sure all the licenses and gear were ready and off to fishing we went. Targeting Rockfish and other deep water species. We limited on our Red Stripe Rocks within the 1st hour, we got to do some impromtu whale watching and caught a pod of Orcas which was a nice bonus. The rest of the staff was also great, once we got to camp, they cooked our catch and also talked about the area. It was a fantastic experience all around.

The bonus was after catching our limits, we went on to catch other fish within season. And all then the food. The best meal of the trip. I won't spoil the surprise but it so good. What a fabulous experience!! James was so patient, helpful and knowledgeable. It was our granddaughter’s 9th birthday and she wanted to go fishing. We did (a group of 7) and we all caught something. The included meal of our fresh catch was top drawer.

James Smith exceeded all expectations. Caught a variety fish and there was never a dull moment. Eating in the wilderness was fresh caught fish is other worldly and a big check off the bucket list. A must do and ask for James!

My family of 4 (kids age 9 and 12) had a wonderful private adventure, led by captain Jordan, who brought us to waters with abundant rockfish where we caught many more fish than could be kept, and ate a delicious meal at a beautiful campsite. I highly recommend this trip!

We had a fantastic morning fishing with James who was an excellent captain. Caught a great variety of fish and even saw a pod of orcas and an elephant seal. Having our catch for lunch was an also a highlight. Fabulous experience for our family if 4. Thanks James!!

Our experience was beyond our expectations. While it was initially a bit pricey, before it was over we thought "worth every penny". Tim was our guide and he was so friendly and extremely helpful....and he worked hard on and off the boat. We were on a small boat with only 3 other people besides the two of us. Watching the scenery go by, catching fish, watching Tim filet the fish, the aroma of the fish cooking, finishing up by feeding eagles the scrapes on the way back to the dock was the definition of a perfect day....and the most memorable excursion!

This was the best excursion ever! We caught several fish, got to watch a whale blowing bubbles and feeding. James, our guide, has a great sense of humor, was very informative, and best of all a respect for the environment. After catching our fish we were taken to a beautiful area in the woods where camp was set up. Our cooked fish was enjoyed while sitting around a campfire. This trip was so enjoyable, there was no rush and plenty of time to relax and enjoy. The whole excursion was from 9-2. And at the end we received a deck of cards displaying different kinds of Alaskan fish. Even if you don’t like to fish just enjoying the boat ride and wilderness is worth it.

We booked through our cruise ship and it included transportation from the ship to the fishing dock. There were 6 of us, and our guide was Landon. It was the best excursion of our cruise. We all caught rockfish, then were taken to a private island where they cooked our catch. It was the best tasting fish I've had in my life! Landon was knowledgeable, personable, and all around a great guide!

This was a great experience! Landon Lamb was our captain for the day and he showed us a great time. We was able to catch some Dungeness crabs, salmon, and rockfish. Our captain was great about showing us how to crab and fish. After catching the crab and fish he took us to the campsite which was absolutely beautiful! The cooks prepared our fresh catches and it was awesome!!!!! This was a great Alaskan experience!

We booked Baranof through our Silverseas cruise. What a fabulous day we had! Our guide Kinani Halvorsen was the perfect guide for us! Fun, professional and knowledgeable. She put us on fish immediately. She explained the technique so all of us caught fish. Her boat was immaculate which I really appreciated. The campfire lunch was one of the best meals we had on the entire trip! If you are planning a trip to Ketchikan book this group!

We had the most amazing time fishing with Kinani. It was myself, husband and 8 and 10 year old boys as well as Helen who worked on our cruise. Great experiende for any level angler! Kinani was so kind and helpful and shared lots of local information with our family! The food after was wonderful. 10/10 recommend. We would definitely be back again if we end up in Ketchikan!

David was AMAZING. What a great guide. Beat fish we have ever had at lunch. It was 5 stars only because I can't give 7 stars. First class all the way, gear, guide, setting, knowledge, and David made the whole thing perfect. Stops to see humpbacks and eagles. Truly wonderful in every way!!

OMG!! What a phenomenal excursion, right from the start we were on the fish, Captain Tim is awesome!! What made it even better was the whales we saw on the ride back in from a great meal prepared by Tim!! 10 out of 10, will definitely do again if I'm back, I recommend 100% to anyone who wants explore this excursion..

I booked my trip through Norwegian Cruise Line on July 23, 2026. Our Captain was Bo Chaney and couldn't ask for a better one. He very informative of the fish we were going to catch, Rock Fish and try to get some salmon if time allowed before going to the island to eat our catch. We saw his friend "Henry" a Bald Eagle and stopped to feed him. It was awesome. While fishing a whale came by within 30 yards of us. He explain to us about the bubbles and what that mfean. Our trip will be remember for a lifetime to me and my brother in law. If I am get lucky to get back to Ketchikan I will definitely book a trip with you guys and Bo if he is available. Jonathan provided an outstanding fishing trip. He provides all the outer clothing and gear and puts you on the fish. We had a great day fishing and the meal was even better. Steve was an amazing guide and made sure that the whole family (from 7 years old to 36 years old) had an amazing experience! The secluded dining included cioppino and a cobbler which was the best meal we had on our whole cruise. I would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone going to Ketchikan!

If you are visiting Ketchikan, this excursion is an absolute must. Our trip with Captain Landon Lamb was hands-down the highlight of our time in Alaska. Landon knew exactly where to put us on the fish and showed us how to handle the crab pots like a seasoned pro. Pulling up fresh crab right out of the Alaskan waters was an incredible bonus! To top it off, the wilderness dining portion was outstanding—nothing beats eating fresh fish and crab prepared right in the beautiful backdrop of the wild. Landon’s expertise, hospitality, and local knowledge are top-tier.

I booked this excursion on a recent cruise to Alaska and loved it! Our captain took us to a few different spots and we all caught some fish. The views were stunning, and watching a bald eagle fly by and scoop a fish out of water was the cherry on top! The beach where we had lunch was another beautiful spot, peaceful and full of picture perfect backdrops. They cooked up the fish we caught in this delicious sauce, I don’t even like fish but I ate everything on my plate! I can’t recommend this enough!!

All positives in this review. Our excursion far exceeded any expectations that we had. Captain Tim was knowledgeable, helpful, patient and just plain nice. He was great at setting our expectations and guiding us so we all had a great day. We learned about the rock fish we were fishing for and much about the other species in the area. Captain Tim went out of his way to make sure we had a great experience. The boat and equipment were in impeccable shape and comfortable. We had a great meal at the fish camp and everyone was outgoing and friendly. It was an awesome day!

Mary was an absolutely joy to have as a captain! She was so fun and positive in spite of the rain, and was determined for her guests to catch some fish, see some bald eagles, and have a great time in general! Mary mentioned that during the school year, she is a teacher. What a lucky bunch of students! Her curiosity and desire to share her knowledge transferred so well in her role as a boat captain! Enjoying our catch cooked in an amazing stew with some incredible sourdough bread was the perfect end of the day. We would highly recommend this tour and if you can get Mary as your guide, well, that’s an added bonus!

Absolutely unbelievable! Our guide Chris was more than fantastic. He made this an Alaskan adventure with true passion for his job and ability to connect with people. He was skilled at fishing and helping those of us who don't! Thank you! The dining was also a nice piece. To boat to an island that you don't suspect anyone is on....and then to find the meal being prepared and served on it was just a wonderful outdoor fun end to the trip. We were on a Celebrity cruise. The weather was great and we didn’t have any rain. Watching a bald Eagle grab one of the fish from the water was fun to see. The Rock fish was very good…eating it fresh on the beach added to the experience. A highlight of our vacation and I’d do it again. Kinani Halvorsen was our guide and she was friendly and very helpful. Kinani was great…professional, friendly, and polite.
