Great small group dog sledding experience. Beautiful scenery and friendly Alaskan dogs. We got the chance to take turns on the sleds , both sitting and also steering the extra sled. Highly recommended!

We had the most amazing experience as a family. We went on our sled ride and then had the opportunity to meet the dogs and their friends, give them some love and ask lots of questions. My 5year old had the best time as did we bigger kids- the parents. Thank you for a wonderful time!
Great host! They went out of their way to help us get to know the dogs and even let us drive! Unique experience:-) Awesome dogs! We enjoyed the run! No crowds, calm, beautiful scenery through the forest.
Great tour. Tabatha was friendly, sociable. And very informative, teaching us a lot about the dog sleds. Was also very accommodating, changing the tour time so that the weather wasn't too cold. The dogs we so cute and friendly.
These are incredibly beautiful and friendly dogs!Super friendly guides and beautiful forested rides. Dress warm and use foot and hand warmers (get these at walmart or amazon). There is a short hike in one section and your feet will get cold if its really cold out. Plan on taking some extra time to give lots of attention to these beautiful loving creatures!
I booked and paid for a dogsledding tour more than a month in advance. The day before, they changed the arrival time, and on the day of the tour, they canceled without any explanation. It has been over 7 business days and I still haven’t received my refund. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable service. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company.
Probably the best dog mushing experience I could have. The staff were so friendly, knowledgable, and down to earth! The fluffy dogs were the best part. They were so sweet and cuter than a lot of other mushing experiences I saw. I highly recommend this business 1000% and this experience was one of the best parts of our Fairbanks trip.
Guides and dogs are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and their craft. It was a wonderful and seamless experience from beginning to end. If you have the time, I highly recommend booking a dog sled tour!!
Friendly dogs and great experience! Very educational and the mushers will answer all your questions.
We had so much fun on this adventure! Tabitha shared lots of good information about the homestead and mushing life. We all got opportunities to try riding on and driving the sleds. The trail was beautiful, and bonus even historic. Afterwards, photo ops, dog petting and delicious hot chocolate served up by a delightful "chef" and mushing assistant.
Due to extreme temperatures, safety was the first priority. Tabitha was very knowledgeable about the history of the area while we were sledding. It was a true authentic Alaskan experience, just what we were looking for, and we feel in love with all the dogs.
Awesome adventure! Would recommend. Professional, and informative, and friendly staff, great dogs...
Wow! What an amazing time! Would strongly encourage anyone to come and enhance your time in Alaska with this one of a kind opportunity. The dogs were a delight and so well cared for. Tabitha and Wendy were so much fun to talk with and showed their true dedication and love for the job. The views were breathtaking and the ride was filled with conversation, laughter, and beauty. It will be a memory that we will always cherish.
Amazing dog sledding! She clearly loves her dogs, treats them so well, and we got to pet them after! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🐕❄️
Amazing dog sledding experience! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the dogs were so friendly. When I got close, some of them even lay down and let me pet them, that’s so sweet. The staff is very patient and explained everything clearly and thoroughly. Highly recommend!
These are the cutest and most adorable puppies in Fairbanks! I had so much fun getting to know the puppies and the whole operation. They have a wide variety of Huskies, malamute and Inuits. Tabitha was very knowledgeable and I had a lot of time with the puppies and the ride was long and gives you plenty of time for the full experience. I will recommend this to all my friends and family to go experience.
Overall, it was a great experience. We’ve learned so much about the history of the area, dogs and dogsledding. However, our time did get shorten for some reason.
This was a super fun and exciting experience. Tabitha was very helpful and welcoming when me and my parents came to Howling Bay Kennel for the dog sledding. She provided all information about the trail and the dogs. She also helped us with any additional gear that would be required since it was very cold that day. Dogs were very friendly, furry and cute and you can see they were cared by Tabitha. Puppies were very cute and excited as well. I would definitely recommend this experience for awesome dog sledding. Thank you Tabitha for great experience.
The dogs were well trained, the host was very friendly, the ride was a very fun experience 10/10!!!!
We had fun with the beautiful dogs.we had a good solid ride and learned some facts about the area. Following we had hot cocoa and more facts and a few laughs.
Dress warm, especially face covering it's windy up there. Make sure you have transportation up there before you go. Bring hand warmers they really help.
This was my birthday trip and this experience did not disappoint. Tabitha is a legit musher who does races as a sport! And Danielle was so easy to talk to as I learned about the dogs and their care. This experience was everything I hoped for and I’m so glad I chose this company to be part of my celebration.
This was the best experience! We spent about 30/40 minutes on the sled, got to help drive it and were able to see the whole before and after processes. We also got to help feed the dogs, hang out with them and warm up inside over some hot chocolate. The dogs are so happy and Tabitha is awesome at answering questions. I ended up spending about 3hrs here and it was definitely worth the price! This was a bucket list item for me and it absolutely exceeded my expectations!
We loved our experience with Tabitha and Howling Bay Kennel. She was very friendly and informative, and you could tell she really loved her dogs. Meeting (and petting) all the dogs was very fun; they were all so friendly and excited, and there were puppies! There wasn’t enough snow for a full sled experience but she took us out on the side by side atv and had the dogs hooked up to the front of it like a sled, which was still really cool. Getting to and from the kennels wasn’t an issue, I just reserved Uber/Lyft pickups ahead of time. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Had a great time! Tabitha was very kind, talkative in a great way, and happy to share things about sled dogs, the history, and her process. Cool experience!
There were few other options for dog mushing but we booked this higher priced your because it says it is 2 hours. Well, it was not. We were on sled for hardly 20 minutes, less than a mile. Whole things was over in about an 1 hour. Elsewhere we would have got same time on sled for much less.
Wonderful little excursion. Note that you may need to wait in the little globe hut until your start time, but you are in the right place.
Incredible! truly one for the books. The host were very informative and nice. The dogs were sooooo beautiful. It was a once in a lifetime experience.
Tabitha was great, very well informed; and truly cared about the animals. The ride itself was great fun; not too fast, not too slow. Dogs were great!
We had an amazing time! Tabitha and Kate are super nice and informative. They clearly love their dogs and being out on the trails with them and guests.
I’m so happy that I’ve been there, it really made my day!😍 Such a nice place in the heart of the nature and all the fluffy cute dogs! After a wonderful ride throw the forest, got the best pictures with them, and of course, to pet them :) I totally recomand. Also the owners are so nice and friendly, explaining everything you need to know, and special thanks to Katie!
Really fun experience! Tabitha and her dogs were awesome !! It’s a small operation but I’d prefer to support a small business!
I am happy I booked this tour! It was so much fun! The dogs are so cute and very friendly. The owner is so kind! Highly recommend!
Absolutely loved this! I had booked another one, which seemed more regimented, but changed to this as we're more into the doggos that the mushing itself. The place is pretty rustic, and you might end up covered in dog hair, but it was the highlight of our trip to Fairbanks to spend time with these rare dogs (and the bonus family ferrets).
Fantastic experience with Tabitha and team. Wonderful hospitality and personalized experience! A must do while in Fairbanks!
So much fun! Was very pleased with the way the set up was and how nice our guide was to us. Very informative and loved the dogs! Got lots of pictures and would do this again!!!
The sled dogs were so friendly we got to interact with them and they seemed to love the attention! Our guide was knowledgeable and gave us tips about where to find moose and where to chase the Lights! (Which worked by the way!). We had a fun experience which was also educational about the breeds of dogs and the history of sled dogging. Thank you!
We really enjoyed the ride and also the time we spent petting and playing with the dogs. Our guide was very kind and knowledgeable.
It is very fun, the people there are so nice and you get to see and pet all the dogs they have there.
The dogs were amazing - so happy and well taken care of! Tabitha was an amazing guide and super informative. It was completely worthwhile - a can’t miss experience!
Had a great experience ! Beautiful dogs ! Had a blast meeting the dogs and sledding with them through the trees
We had a great time dog sledding. Tabitha was very friendly and informative. My toddler had a blast and wants to go again. We went on a beautiful trail and enjoyed learning about the dogs. My toddler especially enjoyed getting to pet the dogs. You can tell Tabitha cares about her dogs and takes great care of them.
The guides were great and really made us feel welcome. The dogs did amazing work! It's definitely something everyone should try when in Alaska!
We did a dog sledding ride in Canada and this day far exceeded my previous experience. Tabitha took lots of time sharing her story and her love for her dogs. The ride itself we great but petting and meeting her dogs was extra special. Highly recommend!
Get ready to enjoy. We had a wonderful time. Beautiful dogs and trails. Very friendly host. Had a great time!
Our dog sledding adventure did not disappoint! Tabitha is wonderful, so knowledgeable and cares so much for her animals. Speaking of the animals, wow! Amazing dogs, sweet, energetic, happy and well cared for. Deacon was my favorite, looks like a big bear. The ride length was ample and Tabitha took pictures for us plus we got to play with the dogs after our ride. If you want to sled with a person who puts their dogs 1st this is the trip for you. Definitely recommend 👌
The dogs were friendly and the sled ride was fun. This was a great experience while visiting Alaska.
We had a very bad experience with last minute cancellations. Unfortunately we were told the day of that the weather was too warm. Dog sledding was one of the activities that my family was looking forward to doing. We ended up booking through a different agency the same day. I understand that the cancellation is due to the wellbeing of the animals but if there was projected warm weather, everyone who books should be notified a day or two in advance and not the day of so we can rearrange our schedules.
Wonderful experience— Friendly dogs and tour operators Everyone had a great time! Better than imagined
Incredible experience!! Tabitha was wonderful and so was Kate, our sled driver. The dogsledding was so much fun and you can tell they care deeply for the dogs. Would highly recommend this to everyone!! We had a blast and loved socializing with the dogs and puppies while there!
